Opal Dream,Night Song,Radiance,Winter Flash and Shadow Mask were playing in the park when Frost Wing and her goons came over to them and started teasing them about things such as Radiance not having his cutiemark yet,Winter Flash liking colts/stallions or Shadow Mask being dark and morbid. Having had enough of Frost Wing's bullying Opal went up to her and said "What the heck do you want us to do to stop this idiotic bullying!?" Frost Wing smiled after hearing that,she turned to Opal and said "you really want me to stop? Fine I will...if you go to the abandoned house in the swamp and bring back something as proof" Without thinking she said "Alright we will!"
Frost Wing started laughing and walked away saying "see you if you make it out of there." After she left Night Song and Shadow Mask walked over to Opal saying "You shouldn't have done that Opal" "You just made sure we will die young". Radiance heard them and walked over "what is all this talk about death?" he asked. "Opal here said something to Frost Wing and know we have to go to the old run down house in the swamp" replied Night Song. Radiance looked at Opal,his eyes fixed in a look she took for disappointment and anger. She felt a pit in her stomach right before he started laughing. "Is that so? And here I thought I would be the one to put the ice queen in her place. Going to a house and grabbing something for proof can't be that hard guys,so let's head home and get some things together for the trip." he said.
A couple hours later they all met outside the swamp,a cool breeze sent shivers down most of their spines. "Are we all ready?" asked Winter Flash. "As ready as I'll ever be" replied Night Song. "Let's just hope they find our bodies" stated Shadow Mask. Radiance spoke softly "This will be interesting. Nopony has been in that house in 1,056.22710623 moons" "how long is a moon?" Opal asked. "Approximately 27.3 days." Radiance replied.
"so about 79 years?" asked Night Song. "Possibly,but my calculations could be off." said Radiance. "enough math! let's just go do this" said Winter Flash getting annoyed. They started walking through the swamp,every step deeper into the terrifying swamp filled them with dread.
