Married an Apple Farmer
Chapter 2
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAs Kimberly sat at the table, she thought back. Back to her life before she came to Equestria. Clearing her throat Kim told her children her story.
"I grew up in the heart of apple country in a place called Wenatchee Valley Washington. It was heaven on earth if I do say so myself the weather was near perfect year round. And the land was so fertile You could plant one lone apple seed and two trees would grow in its place," Kim said looking at the surprised expressions on her children's faces.
Taking a sip of milk from her cup she continued her story.
I was born, fifth generation of the best apple farming families in the state we grew every known type of apple there was. I had a happy life, didn't want for nothing. My loving parents got me everything I needed. My big brothers taught me how to hunt, fish, fight and of course pick apples. Then there was my grandma, she kept me on the straight and narrow. She told me that, I may be a farmer and can track a coon on a moonless night, but I am still a lady and I shouldn't go gallivanting around. That part I didn't take to heart all too much. Cause on my eighteenth birthday, my brothers took me to the city to have some fun. We had two reasons to celebrate me turning eighteen, and I graduated high school. I would've done it a year earlier, but I got held back cause missed too many schools being sick and all when I was a freshman. But I learned something when we went to celebrate GUYS ARE JERKS all they care about is a pretty girl with a great body. I'm not saying I'm ugly far from it, I'd say I was quite the looker. Had long black hair nice hips and a firm backside as for the top I was sporting a double D chest. What I think drove the boys off was my height and physique. Yeah, you see I wasn't one of those prissy little girly girls. I stood six feet three inches and had the muscles to go toe to toe with the best of um. Which kinda made me a little self-conscious. But Granny always told me there's a fella out there that'll love me for who I am not for what I look like. She couldn't be farther from the truth.
I wonder what she'd think of Big Mac if'n she met him? Shaking those thoughts from my head, I continued to tell my tale.
As I was saying my brothers took me out to celebrate, but, turns out they were the ones doing the celebrating with all the drinking and such. Don't get me wrong, I ain't agents it but being underage I couldn't just up and drink in public. So I was stuck being the driver for my two overly drunk brothers. All the way home, I chastised them for being so stupid in forgetting it was supposed to be my night. To prove my point I slammed on the brakes and have those two drunken idijits smack their heads on the dash of the truck. I know it ain't nice to harm others, but it sure did make me feel good.
Hearing that last part made Kim's kids started laughing and she started to chuckle remembering the looks on her brother's faces.
Clearing her throat, she looked at her kids with a stare that said fun is fun, but now's, not the time. After the kids quieted down Kim continued her story.
Now, as I was sayin' I drove my brothers home and after getten' back, I went up to my room, not even botherin' to help those two outta the truck. With a huff, I threw myself on my bed lookin' over at the clock I saw it was only midnight. Thinking this day was a waste I coulda been spending my time doing more constructive things. Taking a breath I looked over to my nightstand and saw one of my most prized possessions a necklace my great grandpa made for his first born, my Granny a beautiful Jade Apple for her namesake she gave to me the day as she put it when I became a woman.

Reaching down and rubbing the jewel in between her fingers with a smile on her face.
I still don't think when a girl starts bleeding from her new-new that makes her a woman. And yes, I said new-new granny said that's what mine was called. She said my Ma had a used-used and she had an old-old so there. Although after having three foals and have some really hot and sweating sex, mine should be called a used-used too. But Mac, bless his heart tells me I'm still as tight as the night he took my virginity.
Like I said that's one of my most prized possessions the others happen to be a Stetson hat my Ma got me for my tenth birthday and a 44 mag revolver and lever action rifle both given to me by my Pa. He told me they belonged to the first of my family that made the Wenatchee Valley their home.
Lying there still fuming about my brothers, I heard some heavy footsteps outside my door. Know who it was I got up from my bed and made my way to my door. Opening it before my Pa could knock I stood there looking up at him.
When I say looking up is because I stand six foot three inches and my Pa stands a towering seven foot four and that's when he's barefoot his boots give him another two and a half inches more. But when ya think about it, my Ma was only Five feet even. Hahaha, I finally get it when Ma always said Pa was nuts over her.
But anyway, I stood looking up at Pa. Clearing his throat, he told me there was a kid that's gone missing and being part of the County Search and Rescue it was my job to help go look for the youngin. So closing my door, I went over to my closet and pulled out the clothes khaki hunting pants, flannel shirt, and an all weather jacket. Then there was my pack I'd needed. The pack held a compass, knife, some trail mix, a solar blanket, flashlight, whistle and ten boxes of ammo for my revolver and rifle never went anywhere without them. I slipped on my clothes and boots, put my revolver in its holster slung the pack over my shoulder and grabbed my rifle before I headed out the door. Making my way out the door I met up with another member of Search and Rescue her name was Ruth she worked at the hospital as a nurse. We hopped in her Jeep and headed to the rendezvous point to meet the others. After we got the info on what happened, we headed out. Seems a ten-year-old boy wander off from his family's campsite, but here's the kicker the boy had type 1 diabetes and he's been missing for over twelve hours. Choosing our routes to take we headed out, pulling my flashlight out of the pack I looked around for any tracks. Finally, I found some and headed off hoping that someone found the boy before somethin' bad happens. Following the tracks, I came upon a small gully looking down into it, I saw the boy he was just sitting on a log looking up at me.
"Um, is your name Mitchel little feller?"I asked, trying to keep us both calm.
"Yes, but my mommy calls me Mitchy," He said with some tears in his eyes.
Smiling down at him I looked for a safe way down seeing a small game trail, probably used by deer. I made my way to him. Using my light I checked him over to see if he had any injuries. Thankfully he was fine then I used the blood tester that we each were given to see if he needed a shot or just something to eat lucky for me he just needed food I really hate the sight of needles. After we rested for a moment I looked around the gully we were in looked like it has been used. Not by animals but by flood waters. And it just had a very heavy rain two days ago. Looking carefully I noticed a small trail of water first signs of bad things coming. Deciding we needed to move now, I had Mitchy get up and start climbing the game trail it was a lot easier going down that up but he made it. When I started my climb that's when I heard the rumbling. Climbing up as fast as I could I just made it when the wall of water barreled down the gully. Turning around I looked at Mitchy and smiled.
Looking around I found my rifle leaning against the tree a placed it earlier picking it up I looked down at the boy smiling.
"Mitchy, I'm going need ya to cover y'alls ears now cause this is going be load sugarcube," Saying that I pull the rifle to my shoulder and point to the sky there a fired three shots before hearing a reply.
"Am I going to see my mommy soon?"Mitchy asked with hope in his eyes.
"You bet sugarcube you be with y'alls family in no time," I said, looking down at him with a smile. And that's when I felt it the rumbling looking down I could see the bank, we were on was giving way. So without thinking, I pushed the boy back to the tree a good five feet away before the bank collapsed causing me to fall into the rushing water.
"Oh, no, did you die, mommy?" Ambrosia asked with tears in her eyes.
Looking at my daughter with a deadpan stare. I shook it off and smiled at her. "No sweet pea Momma didn't die, but something amazing did happen."
You see, as I was falling backward into the rushing water I prayed that the boy would be safe and my family could go on without me. Then I swear I saw a light brighter than anything I've seen before surround me as I hit the water. But then it got strange cause the water wasn't moving like it outta it was still like you see in a lake. So I quickly swam to the surface and that's when I saw it, I wasn't in no rushing waters, but in a small pond and I was standing in waist deep water. Looking around, that's when I saw something I couldn't right understand. There on the shore stood three little ponies, not one taller than my knee. A yellow one with a red mane and tail with a pink bow. The second one was white with a purple and pink mane and tail and is that a horn. Setting that thought back for a Sec, I looked at the last one It was orange with a pinkish purple mane and tail and yep this one's got wings.
I began to panic what was I going to do here I am lost with only three little ponies standing in front of me and one has a horn and one has wings. That's when I heard it the orange one spoke.
"Ah, Apple Bloom what is that thing," said, looking over to the one with the bow in its mane.
"So that one must be Apple Bloom I really like the name." I thought to myself.
"I don't rightly know Scootaloo," Apple Bloom said to her orange friend.
"And that one's name is Scootaloo I wonder what the white one's name is?" I thought after hearing them speak.
"Maybe it's a Minotaur, you know, like that mean old Iron Will," Squeaked the white little filly.
After hearing their voices I learned they were in fact girls.
"I don't know Sweetie Belle It don't look like no Minotaur I've ever seen," Apple Bloom said as she moved closer to the water's edge.
After hearing all their names I decided to try talking to them besides standing in that water for so long I was fearing I might start to grow gills. Realizing I still had my rifle in my left hand, I rose my right one and waved to get their attention. Sure enough, that did it, they all looked at me.
Smiling, I cleared my throat. " Howdy Y'all, I hate to be a bother, but I reckon I'm plumb lost and I be really grateful ifin' you young could tell me where I am and ifin' there's a place I could stay to get dried off. Seeing how I'm soaked down to the bone." I said only to see all three fillies mouths open almost touchin' the ground.
The filly named Apple Bloom was the first to speak. Yeah, sure Y'all can come to my family's farm house as your on our land and all," Apple Bloom said with a smile on her muzzle.
After I made my way to shore, I got a good look at the three fillies and when I saw them, I squeed at how cute they were." Well, I think it's only neighborly of us to introduce ourselves. And seeing as I heard Y'all talk to each other already, I guess I should introduce myself," I said as I stood to my full height. " My name is Kimberly Ringo," I said which caused Apple Bloom's eyes to sparkle.
Jumping up and down she moved closer to me.I can't believe it, I got me a new cousin," She said as she continued to bounce.
Ah, Bloom what are you talking about she said her name was Ringo whatever that means,"Scootaloo said looking at her very excited friend.
Looking at her friend Sweetie Belle shook her head. "Scoots if you paid attention in class today, you would have remembered that in Japonies Ringo is apple."
"See I told ya I gots a new cousin well come on, let's get up to the house so I can introduce ya to the rest of the family," Apple Bloom said as she leads me to her home.
Where I would meet her family more talking ponies. As I walked many thoughts entered my head. "Where am I, will I ever get home, and are these apple trees?"
Kimberly stopped talking for a moment before her eldest daughter spoke up. "Then what happened mommy?" She asked so engrossed in the story.
Kim looked at her children with love as a tear rolled down her cheek. It was her son that saw this and quickly moved to stand beside his mother.
"Ma are you okay, you got all quiet like there and it scared us something fierce."He said placing his hoof in her lap.
"Turning to her son Kim smiled Oh mamas just fine, but I'm gonna need all your help," She said looking from one child to the next. " First Ambrosia you and Melrose go into the parlor and get mama that little brown bag. Second thing is, Little Mac I want you to go out to the barn and tell your Pa to get his sorry, no good plot in here and take me to the hospital cause I just went in ta labor." Kim said to her son the last part through clenched teeth.
Gasps caught Kim's attention as her two daughters brought her the overnight bag she had made for this very day.
"You mean our baby brothers want to come out now?" Melrose asked as she placed the bag on the table for her mother.
Between pains, Kim looked at her daughter with a smile." Yes and if your Pa don't get here right quick and take me to the hospital, I'm afraid Y'all might be helping ta bring them into the world."
At that moment a large red stallion ran into the room looking around his eyes fell on the pregnant woman who was standing there looking at him with nothing but absolute love. Without a word, the stallion known as Big Mac walked over to stand next to his pregnant wife and help her to the waiting cart outside.
As they move a pain hit Kim and she grabbed Mac's ear, turning him to look at her, she smiles at him she calmly told him." Mac, I love you more than life its self, but if you ever think about rutting me again I will geld you-you hear me?"
Walking in through the door laughing was an orange mare with a blond mane and tail. "Oh, sugarcube you tell him that every time." The mare said, tipping her hat back.
"Hey there Applejack thanks for coming it shouldn't take too long after all Little Mac only took seven hours and the girls took even less time," Kim said as she climbed inside the cart to be taken to the hospital.
Looking back to her kids Kim remembered the story she was telling them." Now when I get home I'll continue the story I was telling Y'all okay my precious little apples?"
With that, the two young fillies and a young colt watched as the mother was taking to the hospital.
Breaking the silence Applejack looked at her nieces and nephew. "What in tarnation is your ma talking about what story?"
"The story of how Mommy and Daddy met and started a family," Ambrosia said so naturally to her aunt.
Rolling her eyes Applejack knew that this story is not truly meant for young colts and fillies especially how Kim would tell it.
Ten hours later at the hospital, screams could be heard as well as the most vulgar profanities ever spoken in Equestrian history. Then all of a sudden there was silent, then the unmistakable sound of babies crying and the voice of the doctor congratulating the parents, it's a boy and a girl congratulations Mr. and Ms. Apple.
"Well, you did it, sweetheart now all we gotta do is give these little angels names befitting the Apple family." Big Mac said as he looks down at the two sleeping forms being held in his wife's arms.
