//-------------------------------------------------------// My Little Ships: One-Shot is Magic -by Pixel Berry98- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: The Cause //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: The Cause It was a nice bright afternoon in the Crystal Empire, the birds were singing, flowers were blooming, and the hustle and bustle of the citizens of the empire were off doing their usual schedule of life. Some were off working, while other were coming back from their early shifts, while the bright young fillies and colts were off enjoying their weekend together. But, this isn't about the average crystal ponies of the Crystal Empire. This was about the two rulers and their newborn foal. Within the large castle that was mostly the center of attention, the guards within stood strong and proud while the maids and waiters were off sprucing the castle up, not wanting a single dust on the glorious crystal floor. And while the workers were doing their jobs, the well known alicorn Princess Cadence was having her own job to do, and that was to take care of her little Flurry Heart. The pink pony princess cooed as she nuzzled the small foal's belly, the baby alicorn giggling as her large wings flapping by the ticklish sensation. "You are such a cute!" Cadence said as she petted her mane. She went quiet for awhile, before a small idea struck in her head. 'She might be just a foal, but it wouldn't hurt to show her some of my magic.' She thought, thinking of many ways in which she could make her child much more happy. She placed Flurry Heart on the ground as she laid down to stay eye level with her. The baby was quick to crawl over and lay on her muzzle, to which Cadence giggled at how cute she looked. "Hey Flurry Heart. Look at this." Cadence spoke as her horn glowed and a small heart came out from within the tip of her horn. "Doesn't it look pretty?" Flurry Heart only looked up in awe as she tried touching it, to which Cadence moved it before she touched it. "Be careful sweetie, you don't want things to go bad." She said, petting the foal's mane again as she was gentle in moving her off of the princess' muzzle. Flurry Heart only kept her eyes on the heart as she really wanted to touch it. Cadence only made the urge grow as she showed the foal that she could make it bigger and smaller. It was when it was half the size of the Crystal Heart when Flurry started flapping her wings, wanting to get closer to it. "Flurry Heart, don't touch it." She said, moving the floating heart away, to which Flurry just followed. It became a little game called 'Catch the Heart' for the foal as it giggled and only flew faster as the heart got further away. Cadence thought on just making the heart disappear, but she didn't want to upset her foal if she saw the heart just poof out of existent right in front of her. So her plan was to either tire Flurry to stop flying, or hide the heart when she wasn't looking and cut off the magic after that. But before she could even turn any of those plans into motion, Flurry's horn started to glow in it's magical aura. That caused Cadence to stop and keep the heart floating in one place. 'Did we forget to cast that spell today!?' She thought to herself. Everything went in slow motion, Flurry's magical aura traveled to the heart that Cadence made, mixing the two spells together, it was a mixture of blue and yellow as the heart twitched and the whole room was covered in a blanket of white light. Cadence also heart the sound of a white noise, shaking her head and making the sound fade away in her head. She looked around, seeing Flurry on the floor, sucking her hoof as if nothing happened. Before any other explosions were to start again, Cadence was quick to cast the spell on Flurry, rendering her unable to use her magic for the day. She slowly picked up her foal as she went to look outside, seeing what looked like the colors of a sonic rainboom, but it was instead in different shades of pink and red. "Oh dear Celestia... what in the world did we just do?" She asked out loud, to which Flurry only made some regular baby sounds as a response. "Please let it be just the sight and nothing to go with it." Little did the two know, that things were about to get interesting by their little accident.
