Cupcakes The Beginning takes place years before the original Cupcakes story
and before Pinkie moved to Ponyville, this story will tell how Pinkie started
her "special" cupcake ingredients. Read at your own risk. My Little Pony
friendship is magic and all characters are (c) to The Hub, Hasbro, and Lauren
Faust. Cupcakes and Cupcakes 2 are (c) to Sergeant Sprinkles, Edinponyand, Vladnuke

A good while after Pinkie pie had gotten her cutie mark, her personality has
gotten quite cheerful, and her family wanted her to stay happy so they planned
to send her to stay at a new town called Ponyville. They thought it'll be
good for her new happy nature and to be even more happy.
They knew of some ponies there that'll take her in. But first they needed
to visit them to get everything ready for Pinkie. They wanted the best for
their daughter, their other daughters wanted help too as they loved their
sister Pinkie. So they all would head out to the new and driving town of
Ponyville bright and early tomorrow.
Pinkie will be staying at her babysitter's until they return, they would take
Pinkie with them, but they wanted to throw a welcome party for her where she'll
be staying, her new cheerful nature had a good effect on them for a little
bit. Never the less they wanted to surprise her like she did them with their
first party.
-The day of the trip-
Pinkie pie was curled up in her bed sound asleep. "Pinkamena Diane Pie, time
to wake up." Pinkie's mom said walking in her room. Pinkie was still asleep,
it wasn't until her mother tapped her shoulder that she roused up.
"Five more minutes mom..." Pinkie said barely awake. Her mom shook her shoulder
and said. "Pinkamena wake up it's time to go. Me and your father and sisters
have to go to Ponyville soon."
Pinkie then sprung awake like it just thundered loudly and saying. "Oh my
I totally forgotten! Sorry mom I'll get ready right away." She jumped around the room with joy, making all four of her hooves touching as she was in the air.
Pinkie's mom stopped her before she went to get ready. "Now now Pinkamena
you know you have to stay here with a sitter."
Pinkie just crossed her arms. "Why can't I go again?" She asked her mom.
"Because we're doing to check up on a place that our friends
are building. Don't worry Pinkamena we'll take you there after we return."
Pinkie pie was just upset that she couldn't go now, but knew she had to listen
to her mom. She crossed her arms and sat down on her bed. She sighed then looked up at her mother. "Promise mom?" She asked widening her eyes. Her mother nodded.
"I promise. Now get ready, we're dropping you off soon."
-Later-
Pinkie and her father finally arrived at Mrs.Hooves' house. Mrs.Hooves is an
old brown pony, with white silky hair in the same style as Pinkie's mother. She
had very dark blue eyes, kind of like a blueberry and wears a black dress and a white skirt. She also wears the same glasses as her mom. She was a very formal pony, she seemed to be very strict on the outside.
She was a bitter old mare that Pinkie just didn't like. She was rude, and gives
her a lot of chores. The only thing she liked about staying with her was her
cupcakes. Which were the only cupcakes for miles around where she lived. They tasted like nothing she had ever had before. And since they lived on a rock farm they were very rare.
Pinkie and her father walked up to greet Mrs.Hooves who was in her usual spot
which was in her rocking chair on her front porch. She notices them and gets
up to greet them also. She had a cross look and started to snap at them.
"About time you showed up. I thought you changed your mind." Mrs.Hooves said
in her annoyed voice, which was her normal tune most of the time.
"Sorry Mrs.Hooves, remember to keep care of Pinkamena while we're gone." Pinkie's
father said. Mrs.Hooves looked at Pinkie a little unnervingly, then told Pinkie
and her father.
"Very well. But as you know after you return and take her to Ponyville, which why you won't take her now is beyond me, in any case after that I'll be moving
away back to my home town to start anew. I might even be asleep by the time
you'll return. If I am do not wake me as I need my beauty sleep for my long
trip." She gave a confident look on her face.
Pinkie and her father stared at each other, then her father said. "Fine Mrs.
Hooves. We'll be on our way now. See you when we get back Pinkamena."
Pinkie hugged her father tightly, then as he walked back home for the trip
Pinkie looked at Mr.Hooves.
"So what are we gonna Mr.Hooves? Since this may be the last time we'll see
each other I want to know how you make your cupcakes so I can make them."
Pinkie pie said with a smile. Mr.Hooves stared at her with her normal annoyed
look. "Very well. Matter of fact I just got my special ingredients today."
She said walking inside her home.
"YIPEE!" Pinkie shouted with joy. "Not so loud!" She said with a strict voice "remember my quite rule. Now come inside."
Mr.Hooves ordered Pinkie. "Okie dokie lokie." Pinkie said quieter, smiling walking inside.
Pinkie had totally forgotten how Mrs.Hooves' house looks like. The upper part of the house seemed to be done up hastily. Most of the surfaces were very dusty. She coughed with every step she took but she curiously looked around her house. The whole place seemed to lack a certain quality that a house has when someone lives in it. Everything seemed to be brand new, but neglected. The floor was unpolished, and the walls were white.
"I'm sorry if my house is a little, filthy haven't had time to clean it nor
do I want too." Mrs.Hooves stated.
Pinkie just looked around and asked her. "So when are we gonna make cupcakes?"
Mrs.Hooves walked into her kitchen and said. "Right now."
Pinkie hopped in place with joy then followed her into the kitchen. "I forgot
something." Mrs.Hooves said stopping and turning around. "I forgot my bag outside.
I'll go and get it. My cupcakes and baking books are above the sink in the
middle cabinet."
With that Mrs.Hooves went to get her bag while Pinkie sat her bag down and walked
to the cabinet. She open the middle one and saw a few books. She wasn't sure
which one she was suppose to get. So she picked the prettiest one, it was
pink, of course, with pictures of all kinds of beautiful flowers on it.
As she began reading it she realized it wasn't like the cooking books her mom had. A few pages had recipes sure but there was one thing different. Pony names? Their names were unknown to Pinkie and reminded her of some of the ponies that mysteriously went missing over the years. She knew because everypony talked about them and why they might've went missing.
As she read even more on one recipe she saw instructions, they were instructions
on how to skinned brutally and then cut the animals into food. And how to dismember Ponies' skins and organs.
Step 1: You must carefully place your knife on their eyes, then you must take away the layers of their eyes one at a time. Remember, if you take out all the blood, it won't taste as good.
Step 2: Take them onto a flat surface and then slice open their stomach. Remove the intestines carefully, take out the small intestine first and then place your mouth on the stomach to suck out all the stomach acid.
Pinkie couldn't read anymore.
She was feeling a little sick and thought she got the wrong book. "I see you
know now." Mrs.Hooves' voice said behind Pinkie.
Pinkie quickly dropped the book and turned slowly facing her. "I'm so sorry
Mrs.Hooves I must've gotten the wrong book." Pinkie said, scared that she was in
trouble.
Mr.Hooves walked up and picked up the book, then told Pinkie with a tune that
wasn't annoyed for once.
"Actually my dear, it's the right one." Pinkie was confused. "But I didn't
see any cupcakes recipes in there." Pinkie said confusedly. Mrs.Hooves smiled with an eerie look on her face.
"Every recipe in this very book are the same recipes used for my cupcakes you
love so much."
Pinkie's eyes widen with fear and confusion. "So all this time the ponies that went missing, were...were..." "Baked into cupcakes my dear." Mrs.Hooves interrupted her.
"But why kill to bake cupcakes? Why not bake with normal ingredients?" Pinkie
asked, she was scared, she had sweat moving down her forehead, normally she would be running but she loved those cupcakes so much she had to know.
Mrs.Hooves stared at her and smiled, she always wanted somepony to tell and
share her secrets with. "Because they taste better with ponies baked with
them do they not?" She explained.
Normally any pony would be running out of fear and try to get away from a
killer before they were next. But Pinkie's love for those cupcakes was just
to much that she couldn't get the horrible fact that living ponies were killed
and murdered and were baked into them into her head, her love for cupcakes
was just to must.
"They are...delicious..." Pinkie pie said while her mouth was watering. Mrs.
Hooves smiled then told Pinkie.
"You know, you are the only one who truly likes my cupcakes more then anyone
else. And I'm getting too old."
Pinkie's ears lifted up thinking what she might be saying. "So I can teach you
my secrets to making them. If you truly still like them." Mrs.Hooves told
Pinkie.
Pinkie's face, mouth, and eyes widen almost like they did when she saw her
first rainbow. She was a little, happy, but who would she start with? "Oh yes yes!" Pinkie said with joy. She didn't mean it though, those words slipped right out of her mouth.
"Very well, I was hoping my own son would continue my work. But he went to
start a new life. So good I can teach you." Mrs.Hooves said to Pinkie.
Without another word Mrs.Hooves went to the last cabinet on the right,
and pressed a hidden button opening a secret door to her basement.
"Come Pinkamena, let me show you my work area." Mrs.Hooves told Pinkie walking
down to her basement. Pinkie followed right behind her. After what seemed like
an hundred steps they finally made it to a old door. 'Stay out' it said on the old door with bloody hoof prints covering it. Mrs.Hooves unlocked it with a key she kept in her bag and walked in. The door creaked when the door opened like any classic horror movie scene.
Pinkie taking a few minutes to get her breath, followed her in. Right as she
stepped in the lights turned on as bright as the sun. As they died down, when
Pinkie's eyes got used to them she looked around.
What she saw would scare her usually, but Pinkie saw it differently.
What she saw was organs of all sizes hanging from the ceiling like streamers,
some still dripping fresh blood. And ponies' skins ad hides stitched and
sewed into table cloths and dresses. The skins were as smooth as leather and were shining in the light.
Pinkie's eyes were drawn to a banner hanging from the ceiling that was also
made from ponies' skin. It said "Life is a party" in dark blood red that was
dried and falling apart. She gulped when she saw each drip of blood come down onto the ground. Drip, drip, drip, that was the only thing she heard in the room.
"Oh see my banner?" Mrs.Hooves asked noticing Pinkie had seen it. "After all my
years doing this, I learned that life is a party. And I really should make a
new banner."
Mrs.Hooves then showed Pinkie a surgical table with blood stains all over it.
"This is where I get my special ingredients from ponies." She said. She picked up a scalpel, it was covered in blood but it was all dry and caked into it. The scalpel was dull, and looked like it couldn't cut anymore.
"So um, how do you decide which pony to get the ingredients from?" Pinkie asked.
"Oh it used to be random, but now I have all of the ponies' names here
written on a piece of paper. Every so often I pick one randomly, whoever name
and number it is, is who I'll get my ingredients from."
Mrs.Hooves explained, Pinkie was thinking how that must be. "But what if it's
a love one?" She asked, Mrs.Hooves simply replied by saying. "Easy dearly,
I'll take ingredients from them too." Pinkie gave a little sad look.
"But why?" Pinkie asked a little unsure about killing family and friends for
cupcakes ingredients.
"It's the rules pasted down from my mother. No matter who it is, you MUST follow
the rules. Rules are rules my dear you must never break them. Besides, everyone
dies sooner or later and what better way then with a love one?"
Mrs.Hooves asked, Pinkie was actually understanding what she was saying. Horrible
as it was she was OK with it. Her love for the cupcakes was blinding her to everything
else. She was becoming a sick pony.
"So Mrs.Hooves, you said you just gotten more of your ingredients today. Who was
it?" Pinkie asked. "You." Mrs.Hooves said making Pinkie jump backwards surprised.
"M-Me? Why because my number came up?" Pinkie asked afraid she was next. She was shaking in her place and had a little tear come out of her eye.
"Yes my dear, I just picked your number this morning. But...since you'll be
continuing my work it changes that as you can't continue if your dead."
Mrs.Hooves told Pinkie.
Pinkie sighed a sigh of relief, Mrs.Hooves then said to her. "Over there is
the bucket I keep all the names and numbers in. Pick one." Pinkie was confused,
Mrs.Hooves noticed and said.
"Pick one so we can get ingredients from somepony my dear." "Oooooohhhhhh.
Okie dokie lokie." Pinkie pie said happily skipping over to the bucket.
"Oh and if you pick one with no name and with the number zero, that's a
special number. If you get that then you can chose anypony you want."
Mrs.Hooves stated.
Pinkie nodded and reach in and pulled a number out. She walked back to Mrs.Hooves
and dropped it. When it fell to the floor they saw it was the special number
zero.
"Hm well now you can pick anypony you want. It's rare to pick that number
so who will it be?" Pinkie's ears moved backwards and she looked around and tried to remember some names.
Mrs.Hooves was walking in front of her surgical table. Pinkie knew
just who to pick, she giggled at the thought. And her mouth was watering
at the very thought of making the cupcakes she loved so well.
"Well?" Mrs.Hooves asked again, Pinkie with a smile said. "Oh I know JUST
who to pick hehe." Pinkie giggled.
"Very well, who my de.." Mrs.Hooves was interrupted by something hard hitting
her in the back of her head. She tried to open her eyes to look around, her last sight was Pinkie, she giggled at her, bleeding from her head, she passed out.
-later-
Mrs.Hooves felt a sharp pain in the back of her head as she began to regain
consciousness. She tried to move her left hoof to rub her head but found she
couldn't move.
She tried to move but felt straps holding her down. She open her eyes but everything was blurry. She could barely make out a pink blur moving around. Before she could react to her situation Pinkie appeared out of nowhere starling her and making her vision go back to normal. She smiled at her and paced in front of her.
"Oh Mrs.Hooves your awake!" She said with a creep in her voice, "Good now we can start, says so here in the book we have to wait until your awake to start."
Pinkie pie explained happily. Mrs.Hooves looked and saw she was scraped down
to her own surgical table and her legs wide apart.
In fear and shock she said. "P-Pin-Pinkamena Diane Pie...wh...why are you..." "You said that if I picked the number zero I could pick anypony I wanted. And since your passing your work onto me and going to teach me. I thought why not pick the one that knows this better. So I picked you."
Pinkie explained again. "B-But...Pinkamena..." "Oh please call me Pinkie." Pinkie interrupted.
"OK P-Pinkie..why me? How can I..." "No buts! You said rules are rules and no matter what we have to follow them. And besides rule number three here states that after you have woken up we can not go back. Rules are rules Mrs.Hooves you of all ponies should know that." Pinkie stated making Mrs.Hooves uneasy, she tried to scream for help but her old lungs couldn't make her really loud, "Don't even try," Pinkie said with an eerie laugh, "No chance you're getting out."
She done this an thousand times but never on this side of it, she was scared. She didn't know why but she was.
"P-Pinkie please. I'm just an old mare, a-and how can I help you like this?" She asked trying to convince Pinkie to let her go.
"Rule number 6, age does not matter the taste is the same either way. And you can help by supplying the ingredients silly." Pinkie stated once more. She was really going by the book.
Mrs.Hooves then realizes that if Pinkie's goes by the book she'll have no chance
of getting free, because like she remembered when she was young she followed
the same book and rules without question.
"Pinkie?" "Yes Mrs.Hooves?" Pinkie happy asked.
"If you l-let me go, I'll teach you the most secretive cupcake ingredi..."
"It's right here. Page 50 the most secretive cupcake ingredients."
Pinkie said reading it. After a few minutes she sat the book down on a nearby table, then started to move another smaller table that was covered up towards Mrs.Hooves. She slammed the book down blowing up dust and making a loud thud as it hit the ground.
Knowing what lays under the cloth she tried to beg Pinkie to let her go.
"No no Pinkie please! No!" She yelled, Pinkie in disappointment said.
"Come OOOOOONNNNNNNNN Mrs.Hooves toughen it up! You done this before and you
know the rules, don't tell me when the tables are turned your chicken."
Enraged at that remark Mrs.Hooves shouted. "How dare you!? I am NOT chicken!
I'm just too old for this and furthermore your first victim should not be
your teacher."
Pinkie giggled. "Then you should have said so.~ It's far to late the rules says
not to..."
"FORGET THE RULES! I should never have decided to pass this on to you! You
ungrateful..." "Ungrateful!? Is it ungraceful that I chosen you out of everypony
I know to be my first victim? It that not a honor for a teacher?" Pinkie asked
upset.
Mrs.Hooves suddenly lost all of her rage, that is a great honor for a teacher to
have, but she still didn't want to die.
"Y-Your right Pinkie...sorry for my outrage." She said, Pinkie with a giggled
said. "It's OK Mrs.Hoovse, sure this is a lot to take in. In fact if I didn't
love your cupcakes so much..." Pinkie stopped for a moment thinking of the
cupcakes and mouth watering once again. She laughed like a demon at the thought.
"I wouldn't be so quick to do this. Now without wasting anymore time. Time to
start the harvest!~" Pinkie sung as she ripped the cover off the table revealing
a lot of various sharp medical tools and knives, carefully organized and
wickedly sharp, as well as a large medical beg.
Mrs.Hooves' eyes widen like they did the first time she saw them, which was
fitting as this was the first time seeing them, on this side.
Knowing her fate and that Pinkie wouldn't break the rules so easily she just laid
there. After a minute of thinking she realizes her dress and skirt were missing.
Pinkie was reading the book again when she notices. "Oh your dress and skirt?
They would've gotta in the way so I removed them and laid them on the table
over there."
Pinkie then pointed to a table to the far left. Mrs.Hooves saw her dress and
skirt laying there with her glasses which she just noticed was off.
Before she could say anything Pinkie pie pulled a scrape over her head and
tied it down tightly.
"There now your head won't move, rule 12 said to do that if your head won't
stay still."
Pinkie explained. She quickly went and got a surgical knife and went to
Mrs.Hooves' left hip.
"N-No Pinkie! No!" She cried as Pinkie started to cut around her cutie mark
with a baking knife. This made Mrs.Hooves scream out in pain as flashbacks
of when she did this went through her mind. How she had seen so many ponies go through this suffering and pain and she saw nothing of it, now, she couldn't bare it.
Pinkie had picked up the book and set it on table with the surgical tools so she could
read it.
Every so often she'll stop and read, then went back to cutting. After what
seemed like hours of pain to Mrs.Hooves she felt her skin being ripped clean
off.
This made her scream even more as blood squirted out. Her hip bone showed with fat and more anatomy. The blood started to pour out. The muscle stung and burned like hell. Pinkie held the cutie mark she just ripped off in front of Mrs.Hooves.
"Look run away cutie mark!" Pinkie giggled mimicking it running away from her. Mrs.Hooves just whimpered at the sight of her cutie mark which was of a baking book. She gave a scream and breathed deeply, her chest moving up and down too quickly.
After Pinkie had a good laugh she threw it onto a table behind her. Then went
to Mrs.Hooves' other hip and did the same progress. After she had cut it off
and threw her other cutie mark behind her also, she began reading the book again.
"Let's see what's next? Hm..." Pinkie said reading.
Mrs.Hooves' sides burns like they were lit on fire, before she could beg Pinkie
to stop Pinkie undid the strap on her head.
"L-Letting me...g-go..?" Mrs.Hooves asked hoping she was. Before she got an
answer Pinkie turned her head sideways and put the strap back on.
"Nope, just turning your head so I can skin it."
This made Mrs.Hooves very scared, she tried to get free but the straps were just
too tight.
Before she could ask Pinkie to stop she felt a sharp object on her neck. It was
Pinkie using a surgical scalpel. She was scalping her head.
"NO PINKIE NO NOT MY HAIR!" Mrs.Hooves yelled but Pinkie ignored her cries. She ripped her knife quickly and ripped off part of her mane. She continued to rip until all of her beautiful white mane was caked with blood and all over the floor.
After a painful fifteenth minutes Pinkie had cut Mrs.Hooves' hair clean off where you could see her skin. She picked up the hair and placed it on the table with the cutie marks. As she started to read some more Mrs.Hooves asked. "P-Plea-please P-Pinkie...I can't last long at my age...please stop."
"I guess your right..." Pinkie said which made Mrs.Hooves smile. "Oh th-thank you Pinkie...now..." "We can move to the last few steps then!~" Pinkie interrupted giving Mrs.Hoofs a confused 'what the' look.
Pinkie fixed her head back to normal facing her, then pulled a lever that moved
the upper half of the table upward. Then got a large syringe. Mrs.Hooves' eyes
focused on it knowing what is about to happen.
Pinkie moved to her back which thanks to the custom table was bare. And stabbed
the syringe deep into Mrs.Hooves' back making Mrs.Hooves yell out a blood curdling
scream. She cried out to the lord and pleaded that she would never be horrid to the rest of her life if Pinkie would let her go.
"If this book is right you'll feel nothing below your ribcage in a few minutes."
Pinkie explained.
Minutes went by and Mrs.Hoofs couldn't feel anything below her chin.
Pinkie took out another surgical knife and stabbed into Mrs.Hooves' stomach. She put her lips onto her stomach and sucked out the stomach acid like the book said. She spit out all the puss and acid onto Mrs.Hooves face and chest.
Since she didn't feel it from that syringe she had her eyes closed, she open
them and saw the knife when Pinkie said look. She screamed again.
Pinkie just giggled. "Come on now Mrs.Hooves it's almost over." She then
slowly moved the knife up like the book said too.
Then she repeated the same step two more times at her chest and above where
her bladder had empty without her knowing it.
"Looks like your stomach is all cut up." She giggled contenting the
incisions together.
With a moist gooey sound, the flaps of skin opened. The sight of her organs
and the lack of feeling made Mrs.Hooves' breathing intensify. She rubbed the skin onto her face, then gave it a lick, "Tastes like cupcakes,"
Mrs.Hooves was about to black out but Pinkie gave her an adrenaline shot.
"Not yet Mrs.Hooves! You have to see me take out your cupcakes ingredients!~"
She giggled. Mrs.Hooves' heart was beating so fast she knew she wouldn't last
much longer.
Pinkie then followed the book on cutting open her abdominal sac and grabbed
her lower intestines. Mrs.Hooves threw up blood and puss several times.
"Hey look! It appears I stolen your intestines!" She said pulling on and tiring
them out making blood fly out. Mrs.Hooves screamed even though she couldn't feel
it.
Pinkie then started to nibble on it. "This doesn't taste like cupcakes? Maybe
after it's baked." She said putting it down.
She then did the same with her large intestines. Then moved to separating
the rest of her organs, while making jokes. She growled at her slightly.
"I'm gonna start to kidney with you. Aw don't gave me that pancreas look.
Liver it up Mrs.Hooves! These are bladder aren't they? I'm bad at jokes.
Guess you need a stomach for them huh?" She gave her a big smile, "Life's a party,"
Pinkie moved all of the organs she had removed down on the surgical table.
When she turned to Mrs.Hooves she was unconscious. Pinkie pie gave her one last
adrenaline shot and said.
"Not yet we're almost done! Hehehe!" She giggle as Mrs.Hooves woke up but
barely alive.
Pinkie lowered the table back to normal and got her knife again.
"P-Pinkie..." Mrs.Hooves barely spoke. "Yes?" Pinkie answered.
"G-Gre-great j-job...on your f-first try..." She said.
"Thank you." Pinkie replied. Mrs.Hooves was in serous pain, her heart beating faster and faster skipping every few beats. As Pinkie went to skin her head off, Mrs.Hooves closed her eye, the last thing she felt was the knife cutting into her head, then she was gone. She started to tear up and then let her blood fall out of her mouth after a while of holding it in.
After Pinkie cut and pulled Mrs.Hooves' face and skin off of her head she
looked at it in a mirror that was in the room.
"Hm...not bad for my first try." She told herself. She was a little sad that
Mrs.Hooves was gone now, but also relieved that she didn't have to deal with her
annoying and mean attitude anymore. She held up her face and then licked her teeth and tongue, she passionately was kissing her corpse. "Tastes likes cupcakes,"
She was also happy to know how she made her cupcakes and can now make her own
in the very same way and manner. She was passed down the secret of them.
-The next morning-
It was bright and early when Pinkie's father showed up to take her to Ponyville.
"Pinkamena Diane Pie, time to go." He called her. "Coming dad!" She called back
jumping towards him and hugging him.
"So how was your trip?" She asked him. "It was fine, get your things now time
for you to go and see it for yourself." Pinkie's father told her.
Pinkie nodded and got her things. "So where is Mrs.Hooves?" He asked her.
"Oh she's napping just like she said she would." Pinkie lied.
"Better not wake her like she asked then, come on." He said walking back.
Pinkie was following but stopped and said.

So with that Pinkie and her father walked away heading to Ponyville. When Mrs.
Hooves' house was almost out of sight Pinkie stared at it and thought to herself.
"Thanks for passing on the secret to your cupcakes to me Mrs.Hooves. And don't
worry. I'll take good care of your house when I get more some special
cupcake ingredients."
