Twilight's Messed Up Hearth Warming
She Said She Wanted To Be A Tree...
Load Full StoryShe stands in the room, tall and proud with the smell of pine in the crystal castle where they had a party last year for Hearth's Warming.. Her leaves are weirder than any other tree's. Fluttershy had yellow-green color (similar to lime, but a little yellower) leaves, and her trunk was pink. Red and blue ornaments hung all around her, decorating the tree's exterior with a keen professionalism done by none other than Twilight Sparkle, the same pony who suggested this idea. Twilight smiled at her work once she was finished adjusting an ornament. "Hey Fluttershy, do you like your new look?" She asked. Silence ensued. "I'll... take that as a yes... Anyway, I'm going to go outside for a little bit, see you at the party!" Twilight waved bye to her wooden friend and left without a care in the world. When she walked down the steps, she had no worry. Fluttershy was left to her own thoughts. They mainly consisted of pine cones, and she grew a fear of squirrels. Then, scary thoughts crashed into her. There were woodpeckers in her cottage, and if they saw her... She mentally shuddered at the thought of millions of pecks per second, digging into her. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind. She hoped Twilight would come back soon.
Way earlier in the morning, Twilight came by to ask a favor for Fluttershy. The latter had said sure, but she didn't know what the favor was. She was told, that she would be a tree. At first, she was excited, but then she had second thoughts. She tried to tell Twilight, but Twilight guilt tripped Fluttershy into doing it. Ever since the spell, Fluttershy has been unable to do anything. She could not move, she could not speak, she could not be any more terrified than ever, excluding the giant dragon she talked to in order to save her friends.
Suddenly, foot steps sounded down the crystal stairs, breaking the train of thought Fluttershy had. Spike had woken up, hearing Twilight leaving and was going to get a look at the weird yellowish tree. He stood before the massive pole of wood and leaves, arms crossed and an eyebrow raised. "This is one ugly, weird tree," he said. Fluttershy mentally winced at the insult. "Ugh, don't leave it to Twilight to get a proper tree. This one is probably spray painted. Oh well, guess I'll have to get a different tree, and take this back to the lot," he said. He hoisted Fluttershy's trunk with his brutish dragon strength, and carried her out the door. The baby dragon took her to a Christmas tree lot. After a small while, Fluttershy was bought by a lumberjack pony. As soon as Fluttershy heard the news, she was terrified. The Lumberjacks carried her all the way to the tree slicing machine. The tree was terrified as she could only mentally scream as she watched the sharp edged tree cutters...
Back at the Castle, Spike just put up the new tree for Twilight. As if on cue, Twilight came in right when he was finished. When Twilight saw the tree, she gasped in fear. She instantly knew it wasn't Fluttershy due to the color. She ran over to Spike. "Where's Fluttershy?!" She screamed.
"I dunno, at the cottage?"
"No, she's the tree! Where did she go?!"
"Um, Fluttershy isn't a tree, but I think she wa-"
"I turned her into a tree Spike! I magically turned her into a tree! The yellow and pink tree!!! Where did she go?!" She asked. Spike was wide eyed.
"Well, uh, I um, might had just given her to some lumberjacks? I know that a group of ponies who are carpenters bought her..." He said quietly. Twilight heard every word and gasped. She knew that by now, Fluttershy's gone, and has probably turned into a wooden table or chair. The horrid thoughts of how much that hurt went through her. She hyperventilated, breathing in and out too fast to slow down, Spike was freaking out as he realized he just gave Fluttershy to ponies that would dice her up. They freaked out. They had pretty much killed her. Twilight hyperventilated and started panicking. She cancelled the Hearthe's Warming party and stayed inside all the rest of the day. Ponies did not see her for a few days, until Rainbow decided to barge in. She was wondering why her egghead led friend was not coming out, and Twilight wished Rainbow stayed away in a nice safe house.
So now here we are, Twilight's writing letters to her friends to excuse her for cancelling, and Spike has been gone for a few hours. He has probably left the town, and boarded a train. Twilight does not think she'll see him again. This was the beginning of the five murders of Hearthe's Warming.
