//-------------------------------------------------------// Guardians of Worlds -by Neon Beats- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The last treasure, that was it. After this, the final battle began. Against the Divide that sought to devour our kingdom. What will we do, after our journey is finished, my legs went still, and I had begun to stare off, my adventure was nearly coming to an end. How odd will it feel, when I am finally at peace once more? "Ara." I blinked and looked down to my companion, Twilight sparkle. An alicorn whom was helping me along in my venture, and also one of the many friends I had met along the way. "Ara, what's the matter with you? Are you feeling alright?" I shook my head, shaking the fog from my head, putting a hoof to it. "I'm fine, twilight. You needn't worry about me." "Ara, it's getting dark, I think we should turn in for the night." The forest we were traveling through, my world, was luminescent, enough light to illuminate the area around us, but not enough to disturb our sleep. "Let's rest here." Twilight laid down against a tree in the clearing, watching me as I looked to the moon, drawing a breath. "Yes, Twilight, perhaps it is best that we rest for one more night." I myself laid across from her, my long tail wrapping around me comfortably. Though the unrest hadn't left me. I could not stop thinking about my venture. "Ara, You're troubled, tell me, is there something on your mind?" Twilight had been traveling with me for a long time during my venture, I knew she didn't need to ask if something was on my mind, she knew, but she was giving me the chance to let her in. "Twilight, Our venture has been fun, But I fear I must leave you soon. Once we find what I am looking for, I must send you back to your own land, and you must forget about anything and everything that you saw whilst you were away. You cannot remember any of the others that you have seen that are not on your world." Twilight looked startled, but resigned, looking back up at me in disappointment. "I understand, Ara. But I don't want to forget, there's many ponies on these different worlds that I want to remember, and you're one of them." I nodded to her, looking up to the moon. "Twilight, I will ask you a favor. I fear that I will not make it after we collect this treasure, And I fear that I will not be able to visit you any longer, the threat we face has much power, even with the treasures, not all of the guardians may not make it out alive. So I ask you to listen to me, and to remember all that I say, write it, if you must." I looked back down to Twilight, and looked her in the eye. "I beg of you, do this for me, My dearest friend Twilight Sparkle." In a flash of faint purple, Twilight had acquired a book and a quill, her magic readying the quill, and she nodded in understanding. "I understand, Ara. Don't be afraid to ask me to write something like this, I love reading and writing." Twilight gave me one of those excited smiles, and I shook my head, giving a small one back. "Alright, Twilight, listen well, and stay awake. We will remain here for a while."
