There is an attack on the city! The evil Dr. Stellar is at it again! Ponies started running from the giant machine as he laugh.

"That right fools! Run! Run! It only make it more easier to steal all that belong to you!" He said.

But just when all hope was lost, a blur zooms past the machine and ran up a building. It stop to show a red Pegasus with a yellow mane and tail and a lightning bolt for a cutie mark. Everypony look up to see this Pegasus.

"It the Speedster!" One pony shouted and they all cheer.

"Sorry Doc, but you not stealing anything today!" Speedster said.

"That what you think! Think you can out run my Speed Catcher machine?!" Dr. Stellar laugh.

"You really need name your machines better doc. Because nothing catches me!" Speed said before running down the building then around the machine.

Dr. Stellar try to have the machine catch him, but Speedster was just too fast. In seconds, Speedster stop the machine and caught Dr. Stellar.

"Nice work Speedster." The police pony said as they took Dr. Stellar away.

"All in a day's work. Well I got run. I'll speed you later!" Speedster said and started to run.

Then everything freezes before showing it was just a comic book, title The Speedster. It was being read by a cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail and a three color thunderbolt coming from a cloud.

"That was so awesome! Dr. Stellar was a really big fool that time! He never been able to catch The Speedster, the fastest Pegasus alive!" The Pegasus shouted before turning to her clock.

"GAH! I'm late!" She shouted and try to get ready.

Hi there, my name Rainbow Dash and I'm the world's slowest Pegasus. You see, no one know why I am but I don't let it get to me. In fact one day I became the fastest mare alive. I became The Flash. But I'm getting ahead of myself, let's start out how I became The Flash. It all started when I just got to work and was chew out at by boss.

"Rainbow Dash! That the third time this week! Were you reading that comic again?" The Pegasus name Big Boss asked.

"Yeah, but it was the new one! I couldn't wait I had to read it! The Speedster had stop Dr. Stellar once again and..." Rainbow started to say before stopping at her boss's glare.

"Rainbow, you are a hard working Pegasus but you need to stop reading those comics and get here on time for once! I should have never let my daughter tell you about those comics." Big Boss said.

He sigh and then said, "Okay, get to work. You have to make up lost time. Luckily someone else had cover your shift when you were out."

Rainbow nods and flew towards her work area. She just got there when she saw Gilda her friend from Flight Camp.

"Gilda? What are you doing here?" Rainbow asked.

"Hey Rainbow, I thought you were going to be late again." Gilda said as she turns around.

"So what do you do to cover for me?" Rainbow asked as she landed near her friend.

"I made a few thunder clouds, I even mix one with red electricity." Gilda said.

"How in Equestria did you do that?" Rainbow asked.

"Don't know. It just came to me." Gilda said.

Rainbow turn to see the thunder cloud and watch as the red lightning try to reach out for her.

"OW!" Rainbow shouted as she jump back hitting the machine behind her.

"That was weird. Why did it do that? There no way it has a mind of it's own right?" Gilda asked.

"You got me. That was close though." Rainbow said as she got off the machine unknowing that she hit a button that made another thunder cloud.

The thunder cloud appear above the one with red electricity and the two clouds started attacking each other.

"What the?" Rainbow said before ducking under a stray lightning bolt that hit another machine.

The two cloud lightnings stuck out everywhere and many workers had to run and find cover. Both Rainbow and Gilda duck under a desk not sure what was going on.

"We need to stop those thunder clouds before the destroy the factory!" Rainbow said.

"We better get them outside! We can deal with them there!" Gilda said.

"How can we? With all the lightning bolts everywhere we can't get close!" Rainbow asked.

"Come on Dash, where the Pegasus that laugh at the face of danger?" Gilda asked her.

Rainbow look at her before smiling. The two flew out from their hiding place and head for the clouds dodging the lightning bolts. Rainbow reach the top cloud and started to push it outside. Gilda reach the one that had red electricity and started to push it outside as well. The two push their clouds and soon the red electricity started to reach out for Rainbow. The yellow electricity kept reach out and blocking the red one as if it was trying to protect her. Once the two push their clouds outside the both give it a kick in a way to destroy the clouds, but what happen instead that the electricity from both clouds shock them. They both scream as they were shock.

Rainbow could felt the lightning change her. Everything started to speed up and slow down as the lighting ran through her body, changing everything from her bloodstream to her heart. Finally after what felt like decades, it stop. Rainbow floated in the air for a second with her eyes half close. Unable to hold on any longer, she fell and crash right into a nearby cloud with yellow electricity all over her.

5 months later…

The sound of a heartbeat was heard when Rainbow vision started to fade back in. She look around to see she was in the hospital. She look around before seeing a yellow Pegasus with light pink mane and tail an three pink butterflies as her cutie mark. She was also reading comic about The Speedster. Rainbow could tell she was reading the third issue.

"That a really good comic huh?" She said weakly.

The Pegasus jump before seeing that Rainbow was awake.

"Oh you're awake! That good. I hope you do mind. I found these in your bag I just needed something to do." She said.

"No, it ok. How did I get here?" Rainbow said then asked.

"Oh, I um, found you laying on the cloud and you look really hurt so I took you to the hospital to see if anyone can help you." The Pegasus said.

"Thanks, I'm Rainbow Dash." Rainbow said.

"I'm F-F-Fluttershy." The Pegasus said shyly.

"Heh, fit you well." Rainbow said and look at the comic.

"So you reading about the time Speedster was fighting against his Arch-nemesis The Reverse?" Rainbow asked.

"Oh yes. It really sad. He just want to be like the Speedster, but he became somepony else instead. It sad to heard that he hurt so many ponies." Fluttershy said.

"Don't worry, Speedster will stop him. It was a get comic and it one of my favorites." Rainbow said smiling.

Their talk was cut when an Doctor enter the room seeing that Rainbow Dash was awake.

"Ah, I see you are awake at last. How are you feeling?" He said.

"A little dizzy and weak but fine otherwise." Rainbow said.

"I see, you were just in a coma and..." The Doctor said before Rainbow cut him off.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! I was in a coma?! For how long?" She asked.

"F-F-Five months." Fluttershy answer.

"FIVE MONTHS!" Rainbow shouted as she jump out of bed.

Rainbow stop as she realize she felt better than before. She was flying with no problems. Which was weird. she never felt this good before.

"Miss Dash, what is the last thing you remember?" The Doctor asked.

"Well, I got to my work station at the factory had a chat with my friend Gilda...GILDA! She was with me! Have you seen here?" Rainbow said before remembering about Gilda.

"You mean the griffin? She woke up a month ago before you and she was acting all weird. Before we could find out what's wrong she took off and haven't been seen since." The Doctor told her.

Rainbow was quite, her best friend was missing and she was stuck in a coma.

"Miss Shy, your parents are here to pick you up." The Doctor said to Fluttershy.

"Oh, of course T-T-Thank you." Fluttershy said and started to put the comic down.

"You can take it Fluttershy. I have copies back home." Rainbow said.

"Really? Are you sure?" Fluttershy asked shock.

"Sure, you stay by my side this whole time. I know we just met, but you're my friend now. It only fair I give out one of my favorite comics to you." Rainbow said.

Fluttershy then flew up and hug her, surprising Rainbow.

"Thank you! I'm glad to be your friend!" Fluttershy said.

"You're welcome." Rainbow said and hug back.

No one knew that outside someone was watching them, someone who was angry at the yellow Pegasus hugging her friend. That some one turn away and speeds off, leaving red electricity behind.

After getting check out, Rainbow leaves the hospital to see not much as change in five months. She was just flying through the sky when she was tackle by a familiar griffin.

"Gilda!" Rainbow shouted.

"Hey Rainbow Crash! Good to see you up and at them." Gilda said.

"Gilda, do not call me that!" Rainbow said with her eye twitching.

"Come on, I'm just messing with ya." Gilda said.

"Whatever, G-la." Rainbow smile.

"Rainbow you know how much I hate that name." Gilda growl.

"Then don't call me Rainbow Crash." Rainbow told her.

"Fine, so you just get up?" Gilda said then asked.

"Yep. It weird though. I feel great even after getting hit by electricity. In fact I feel better then before as if nothing can stop me!" Rainbow said.

"I know what you mean. I woke up with the same feeling. Boy it was great! Sorry I disappear when you were still sleeping. I was freaking out and needed to be somewhere else for some time." Gilda said.

"That's ok. Hey I made a new friend. Her name is Fluttershy. She soft spoken but really kind. I even let her have one of my comics." Rainbow said.

"Really? Which one?" Gilda asked.

"The one where The Speedster meets The Reverse." Rainbow told her.

"THAT ONE! Rainbow that your top favorite!" Gilda said.

"Well, I like her. She just looks so innocent that I can't help to think she needs a friend." Rainbow smile.

"Fine, fine, so ready to catch up on what you miss?" Gilda asked.

"You bet! Any more "The Speedster" Comics come out?" Rainbow said then asked.

"There been a few new comics. Get this, The Reverse has return!" Gilda said.

"No way!" Rainbow started and soon the two started talking about Rainbow's favorite comic book.

They just flew in the city when some Pegasus were mask flew past them with large bags of money on them.

"What?" Rainbow asked.

"Crime has gone up in the past month. Many criminals are become more braver to do their crimes." Gilda said.

Rainbow eyes narrow as she looks that the thieves. She never notices the electricity appearing in her eyes before suddenly speeding after the thieves. Rainbow found herself in front of them and they all stop in surprise. Rainbow was shock as well. She had no idea how she got there or how she move that fast. She was the world's slowest Pegasus. She saw one of the thieves swing his hoof at her and everything slow down. Rainbow watch as the hoof was moving at the pace of a snail and she move out of the way. Everything speed back up as the thief threw himself forward.

The other two try to jump on Rainbow, but everything slow down again. Rainbow decide to try something. She move under the two thieves and punch them both in the guts, and then turn to the third thief and punch him in the cheek. Once everything speed back up, the three thieves fell and Rainbow look at her hooves. She then saw electricity run around them then disappear. Rainbow look up and smirk before taking off, leaving yellow electricity with a rainbow blur behind her.

Rainbow flew around some cloud buildings before flying into the air and then dive back down. She flew some more before stopping. She was breath hard, but had a smile on her face.

"This is AWESOME!" Rainbow shouted.

Rainbow flew around the her home cleaning the place up. She was so psyched about her new found speed. She was just like her hero, The Speedster! Not to mention she just took down some thieves. She was freaking out about it, but in a good way.

"Oh. My. Gosh! I can't believe it! I'm fast! I'm FAST!" Rainbow shouted.

Her enjoyment was cut short when she heard a knock on her door. She speed over there and almost crash into the door.

"Got to work on my stops." She whisper and open the door to see Fluttershy.

"Fluttershy? What are you doing here?" Rainbow asked surprise to see her new friend.

"H-H-Hi Rainbow. I um, came to see you. I was wondering um, if you have any more comics?" Fluttershy said shyly.

"Sure! I was able to get the five comics I miss and I was just about to read them." Rainbow said.

"Really? I can read them with you. I mean if that ok?" Fluttershy said.

"Sure come on in." Rainbow said.

Fluttershy walk in and saw Rainbow house was a bit of a mess.

"Sorry about the mess. I clean it up." Rainbow said before smiling.

Rainbow then speed off cleaning the mess that was left leaving Fluttershy with her mouth open in awe.

"There, all done." Rainbow said.

"Rainbow, how did you...?" Fluttershy tries to asked.

"Don't know really. Five months ago I was the world's slowest Pegasus, now I'm the Fastest Mare Alive!" Rainbow told her.

"Maybe you should be careful. What if somepony gets the wrong idea?" Fluttershy said.

Rainbow had to think on that. She could see that Fluttershy had a point. Rainbow knew she had to do something. In fact she was thinking about using her new-found speed to help take crime down and turn her city back to the way it was.

"Listen Fluttershy, I got an idea. What if I help take crime down? I mean I stop those thieves earlier today, so maybe I can help others as well." Rainbow told her.

"Are you sure? I mean, ponies are going to know and they might try and stop you." Fluttershy said.

"Good point, maybe if I..." Rainbow trail off as she look at the comic on her table.

"What if I had costume? To hide my identity? Well that work?" Rainbow asked.

"I guess so, are you sure?" Fluttershy said.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I can save ponies in a flash!" Rainbow said.

"Ok, I'll try to come up with something. I mean if that alright." Fluttershy said.

"Wait, you're going to help me? Really?" Rainbow asked surprise.

"Well, you're my friend, it fair I help my friends right?" Fluttershy said.

"Yeah, so you think you can whip something up?" Rainbow asked.

Fluttershy sat down and begin to think. She look at the comic and an idea pop in her head.

"Well, what if I make a costume based on The Speedster?" Fluttershy asked.

"Sound good! How long do you thinking you can get this done?" Rainbow asked.

"Well there is unicorn I know that into fashion and she helps me shew from time to time." Fluttershy said.

"Ok, but for now keep it between us. It better for the two of us to know about this." Rainbow said and Fluttershy nods in agreement.

1 week later...

Fluttershy had return Rainbow's home and knock on the door.

"Hey Fluttershy!" Rainbow's voice come from behind her.

Fluttershy jump before turning to see Rainbow Dash.

"Oh Rainbow, you scare me." She said.

"Sorry, so is it done?" Rainbow said then asked.

"Yes, let go in." Fluttershy said.

The two Pegasus enter Rainbow's house and shut the door. Fluttershy then pull out red suit, with yellow boots and yellow lightning bolts around the front hooves and a yellow lightning bolt near the flank and on the chest. It also had wings.

"Wow! Your friend is really good!" Rainbow said.

"Yeah, I added the lightning bolts as a last touch. If that ok." Fluttershy said.

"Are you kidding? They make it look 20% cooler!" Rainbow said.

"Really? T-T-Thank you." Fluttershy said before pull out a newspaper.

"I read that crime has gone up by 5% in the past week. Have you been working on your speed?" She added.

"Yep, learn some new tricks too! I will be ready. I'm going to give this suit a test run." Rainbow said and use her speed to put it on.

Fluttershy look at Rainbow with her mouth open in awe once again. The suit fit Rainbow perfectly. She ever look like a different pony.

"Rainbow?" Fluttershy asked.

"Oh yeah, this felt great!" Rainbow said.

"Um, what about your voice?" Fluttershy asked.

"Not a problem. I learn this trick I can do with my voice." Rainbow said.

"Wow!" Fluttershy said.

"I know right?" Rainbow asked in her normal voice.

"Well, I'm off! Be back in a flash!" Rainbow said and speed off.

"Good luck Rainbow." Fluttershy said as she waited for her friend to return.

Rainbow flew across the sky leaving a red blur and electricity behind her. She landed on top of one of the buildings and look over the city. She was keep an eye out of any trouble, when she heard an alarm go off. Rainbow races toward the bank and saw some mask Pegasi robbing it. Rainbow smile and zooms in. In no time the thieves were down and the money was safe. She speed away just as the cops reach the bank. They were shock to see the thieves tie up and a lightning bolt on a piece of picture.

Rainbow flew across the sky and stop even more thieves, leaving them tie up and a piece of paper with a lightning bolt on it. Rainbow stop on top of the same building she was on before and looks over the city. A city she safe, in a flash.

Rainbow return home and remove her suit. After putting it away. She sat down at her table and started to read the next comic of The Speedster. She was halfway done, when I knock was heard on her door. She got up and answer it to see Gilda.

"Hey Gilda, what's up?" Rainbow asked.

"What's up? You been blowing me off with that new friend of yours, that what's up." Gilda said angry.

"Sorry Gilda, Fluttershy a good friend and I would like her to met you. She really getting into "The Speedster" comics. I even read that The Reverse returns again!" Rainbow said.

Gilda wasn't listening, but she did know that Rainbow wasn't noticing.

"Have you heard? Crimes are being stop by some kind of freak. They say that it take down crimes and then leaves them for the police, because of that crime gone down by 10% in three hours." Gilda said.

"A Freak? Really? Come on, whoever it is, it helping them out." Rainbow said.

"What a waste. Why stop crime when it can do crimes itself?" Gilda said.

"What?! Gilda that pony is a hero. There no way it will pull off crimes." Rainbow said surprise.

Gilda look at her before grabbing her by the throat. She lift Rainbow up and look at her. Her eyes started to glow red before she spoke.

"I know it been you Rainbow. You been stopping crimes, crimes that will build my empire. I was hoping to see if you will join me, but you appear to against me. I'm sure you'll come to your senses. When you do..." Gilda spoke in a deep voice before dropping her.

"You know where to find me." She said in her normal voice and speed off leaving red electricity behind.

Rainbow look in shock to see that Gilda had super speed too. She stood up and look at where she ran. Rainbow wasn't going to follow in Gilda steps. There is no away is will case crimes. She will save ponies, all if them, in a flash.

An old pony lift the newspaper and read the title.

"A hero in the City? A Red Blur seen leaving the Crimes with a Lightning Bolt as a calling card."

It looks like the new generation is here at last. Hope you can bring back the peace that has fade when I did kid." He said before turn to a comic that was title, The Speedster.

Author's Note

Sorry if it feels too fast. Like I said it not tie to my The Dash story, this is 100% different. As you see I'm using the pony version not the Equestria Girls version. Another change is Gilda is the Reverse-Flash instead of Lightning Dust. I think someone out there said Spitfire could be a better Reverse-Flash. Not sure who said that. I'm still waiting for some help on The Dash. I hope you guys like this version as well.
