One fateful day in March, humanity teetered on the brink of extinction. With little to no warning, a rogue pulsar ripped through the solar system, destroying everything in its path. In the space of a week, civilization as it was ended.

But all was not lost. On the other side of the solar system, safe from the destruction was humanity's first attempt at interstellar colonisation, a project a century in the making, was about to embark. With their passengers in cryo, the crews of the Hope, Courage, and Renewal watched in horror as the planet that they were about to leave was snuffed out.

With nothing to go back too, they steeled themselves and ventured into the black...
