Twilight Sparkle was sitting silently in her room. It was morning and she had just gotten up although Spike was still asleep. She stayed still for a few moments. She got up and waited for Spike to wake up. As soon as Spike got up he fed himself.
Twilight smiled and brushed her mane to get it straitened out. Then she went outside and washed herself at a pond and then came back. When she came back she spoke.
"Spike I'm going out. Are you coming?" Twilight asked. Spike smiled and replied to Twilight.
Sure I'm coming." Spike said. Spike finished getting ready and left with Twilight. They walked to were they were going and then made it to the center of town and Twilight looked around and shopped at different stands. While they looked around she saw their friends passing by and talking to each other.
Twilight wondered if she should see them. They looked kind of busy and she didn't want to bother them so she went somewhere else. She wondered if they wanted to see her. She looked at Spike and smiled at him.
"If you want to go hang out with our friends you can. I'm just going to look around. I'll meet up with you later." Twilight said as she smiled. Spike nodded.
"Thanks Twilight. I'll see you later if you ever catch up." Spike said. Twilight nodded and Spike took off. She watched Spike catch up with his and hers friends. They greeted each other and went off to somewhere. Twilight walked on to continue shopping.
Twilight hummed to herself as she bought extra books and bought some more notebooks as well. Soon she left the store and saw her friends again. She went to a bakery and had a treat. Soon she got out of the bakery and went home. As soon as she got home she sat down and read as she thought about what she wanted to do that day? She decided to go see Cadence. She waited for Spike to get back.
As soon as Spike got back she spoke to him as she hoped that her sudden decision wouldn't throw him off.
"How was your day?" She asked. Spike shrugged and looked at her and then spoke to her.
"It was great. How was yours?" Spike said. Twilight looked down at the floor and contemplated on what to say to Spike. She hoped he didn't mind as she wanted to go somewhere and that she wanted to know if Spike wanted to hang out with one of his friends that day.
"Spike?" Twilight said. Spike looked at her and nodded and then spoke.
"What is it?" Spike asked. Twilight spoke.
"I have just decided on a trip to the Crystal Empire. I'll be back later. I'll be closing my place so you can hang out with your friends or whatever you want." Twilight said. Spike nodded.
"Alright then. I'll see you later." Spike said smiling. Twilight smiled and kissed Spike on the head.
"Bye Spike." Twilight said. Spike hugged her.
"See you later." Spike said. Twilight ruffled Spikes head and left. Spike smiled and ran off to see His and Twilight's friends. Twilight went to the train station an bought a boarding ticket and then went off to the Crystal Empire. While on the train she read a newspaper and ate some snacks.
Soon the train arrived at her destination so she got off and went to see her family. When the guards saw her they bowed their heads respectively as she was the princess. She nodded to them and walked past. When she got to Cadences they opened the doors for her and she went inside.
Twilight then started to go to Cadence. While Twilight was on her way to Cadence Cadence was busy doing paperwork and running the kingdom when an informant went up to Cadence and spoke to her.
"Princess Cadence. Princess Twilight is here to see you." He said. Cadence smiled and spoke.
"Twilights here to see me?!" Cadence asked. She got up and shoved her paperwork into Shining Armor's grasp.
"Take care of it!" Cadence ordered him. Shining watched her startled by this and sighed while getting to work.
Soon she got to Cadence. She went up and hugged her. Cadence hugged her back and they greeted eachother.
"Hi Twilight! It's good to see you!" Cadence said. Twilight let go of the hug and stepped back and then spoke.
"It's good to see you to!" Twilight exclaimed. They then recited their Lady bugs rhythm and giggled. After that they talked while going out doors for a stroll.
"What brings you all the way out here hon?" Cadence asked. Twilight shrugged and spoke.
"I just decided to take a little trip here. I was bored." Twilight said giggling. Cadence nodded in agreement.
"Oh me to! I was getting ready to leave to see you actually but I guess you took care of that." Cadence said. Twilight laughed. Cadence smiled and ruffled Twilight's hair. Twilight giggled.
"Are you sure it's alright to do this?" Twilight asked.
"Of coarse it is! Shinning Armor can run the kingdom for a few hours it won't kill him. Where do you want to go first?" Cadence asked.
"It's up to you! What do you want to do?" Twilight asked. Cadence smiled and shrugged.
"Anywhere is fine with me! We can leave the Crystal Empire and go to some shops in Canterlot or go to Rainbow Falls! We can go anywhere we want!" Cadence asked. Twilights eyes widened and she smiled.
"Can we go to parks!?" Twilight exclaimed. Cadence giggled and spoke to her while smiling.
"Anywhere you want. We can make our own decisions and nopony can tell us what to do!" Cadence exclaimed. Twilight clapped her hooves and smiled.
"Let's go get some ice cream!" Twilight exclaimed. Twilight blushed feeling like a little filly shouting that. Cadence giggled.
"I love the way you think! Cmon! There's some ice cream parlors in Canterlot and then we can continue from there! Well decide each activity as we go along." Cadence said smiling. Twilight grinned.
"Yay!" Twilight exclaimed childishly. Cadence giggled again finding Twilight to be adorable. As they rode the train they told each other stories and just talked to each other. They felt free and independent and that's the way they liked it.
"How are your friends?" Cadence asked. Twilight smiled.
"They are doing good." Twilight said shrugging.
"And how's Spike?" Cadence asked wondering about the dragon.
"Good. I told him that he could hang out with our friends or whatever." Twilight said shrugging. Cadence smiled.
"I'm glad you could see me! I wasn't expecting you but I'm happy your here with me! Leaving work like this feels so naughty!!" Cadence exclaimed happily. Twilight giggled.
"I know the feeling! It's awesome!" Twilight said giggling. Cadence smiled and ruffled Twilights hair. Soon they got to Canterlot and they got out and walked to an ice cream parlor. Once they got their Cadence ordered strawberry and Twilight ordered chocolate. They both paid for their cones and ate them.
While they ate the looked around and wondered where to go. Twilight then figured out what to do and spoke up.
"Let's just take a stroll." Twilight said. Cadence smiled and nodded. They both walked to a park and strolled along a walkway in the park while eating their ice cream. Soon they finished their ice cream and talked while they walked.
After that Cadence decided to go shopping at a dress store and Twilight agreed smiling. They both walked to a clothes store and tried on dresses and bought some as well and then they tried on even more dresses. They also snickered as they did a silly runway show of it.
As they goofed off some customers watched them as they were shocked at how two regal princesses were acting but Twilight and Cadence ignored them as they tried on sweaters to.
After that they tried on different accessories like hats for the fun of it. They spend a few more minutes just goofing around and then they left while laughing their heads off. After that they went to a swing set and Cadence pushed Twilight on the swing just like when she was younger. Twilight just giggled away as she swung on the swings.
Twilight and Cadence had no worry at all at that moment. Alls they focused on was having fun. Cadence didn't worry about any work that she would have to do as she just messed around having fun. They continued to use the swings for a few moments just enjoying the breeze and the time that they had together.
Cadence and Twilight then started a game of tag as they chased each other and tagged eachother and they switched each time they tagged each other. They both got each other several times so it was even and they couldn't decide who won so Cadence declared Twilight as the winner.
After that they cloud watched as they pointed out images that they saw in the clouds. They both continued to lay in the soft grass as they spoke and just watched the sky. They then got up and Twilight tagged Cadence again and they then went right back into playing tag as they giggle and chased eachother.
As they played they won several times. While taking a break Twilight and Cadence just talked to eachother for fun.
"This is great I love this!" Cadence exclaimed. Twilight giggled.
"It's the best! I'm glad you are enjoying it!" Twilight said. Cadence smiled and spoke to Twilight.
"I'm glad your enjoying it!" Cadence spoke. Twilight giggled. They both continued to chase eachother as they played tag together. They were glad to play tag as it was along time they didn't play it.
Soon they stopped and just spoke to eachother about their friends and how their friends were doing. Cadence told twilight how Shining Armor was doing. Twilight was glad that Cadence and her brother were alright. Soon they went back to playing tag and just goofing off on a perfect day.
After this Twilight and Cadence went hung out at a river and they just watched the water as they sat by eachother. They both smiled as they saw their reflections. Twilight was so happy that this day was going so well. They continued to focus on the lake with eachother.
After this they left the park and went to diner and ate lunch. Twilight and Cadence Soon they finished and they had to deserts which Cadence and Twilight both paid for. Cadence and Twilight both got their stuff and got out. After that they went to a library and looked at so many books.
Cadence loved to read books but not as much as Twilight did. Cadence watched Twilight reading a few at a table. Cadence got a few and she started reading some to as well. Twilight and Cadence read a few good portions of their books. When they finished them they read a few more.
After this they read a few other books as well but they didn't check any out as it would be unnecessary luggage. After doing this they started to read a few pages of educational books as well.
Soon they left the library and then walked to a barber and got their manes cut. Twilight knew that she needed that mane cut. Cadence was also glad to get one. They enjoyed some of the gossip there. Soon they left and Cadence and Twilight spoke.
"It was nice to hang out with you. Stop by sometime again and we will do something different!" Cadence said. Twilight smiled and hugged her tightly as she smiled.
"Thanks!!" Twilight exclaimed.
"Your welcome." Cadence said. Twilight thought about something and spoke.
"Thanks for coming to hang out with me. Twilight said. Cadence giggled.
"Your welcome! Let's do it again another time!" Cadence said. Twilight gasped and smiled.
"I would love that!" Twilight said. Cadence nodded.
"Me to." Cadence said happily. Soon they both got to the train station and went to the Crystal Empire as it a few hours past but they didn't mind. Cadence and Twilight told each other really silly and funny jokes on the way back and made up stores together.
Soon they got their and Twilight and Cadence got off and hugged. After that they broke away from the hug and spoke.
"I love you Twilight!" Cadence said in a motherly tone.
"I love you to!" Twilight exclaimed. Twilight then waved goodbye and Cadence waved back. She then boarded a train and it left to go back to Ponyville. Twilight smiled as she had so much fun. She read a book and after a while she arrived at her town. She walked to her place. Soon she got inside and sat down glad that she took that train to see Cadence.
She smiled and knew that Cadence enjoyed hanging out with her. Cadence was right it was a thrill to skip work for a day and relax as they both needed it from time to time.
