Chapters Fluttershy wiped away her tears as her daughter, Bunny, packed.
"Mom? Are you okay?" Bunny looked up, pushing her hair out of her face, something she got from her mother.
"Y... yes, I'm fine. I just can't believe you're growing up, that's all. One minute you were in my arms, swaddled in a blanket, and now, now you're packing to go away to school. You're 15 now, I'm just trying to figure out what happened?"
Bunny simply smiled. "I'm not sure, Mom. But you do know, I will keep in touch no matter what, you're my best friend, I love you."
Fluttershy turned around and started crying. She knew this moment would come, but she wasn't ready for it.
"Mom may be your best friend, but what about me?" A tall man peeked in the door and walked toward Bunny.
"Daddy, I love you." Bunny said to the man, who was named Sandalwood.
Bunny, who was like her mother in almost every aspect of her being, was quiet and shy. She also had pink wavy hair, like her mother. Unlike her mother, she was very confused when she was around eight, and started being able to snap her fingers, and be in the park, even when she didn't want to go there. It one day made her question her mother, which Bunny then found out she was adopted by Sandalwood, and that Fluttershy wanted to protect her from her father. Bunny understood, and went on with her life, and went on to control her magic, but was always curious about her father.
Bunny was especially excited about Canterlot High because of the animal program her mother had told her about, and the economics program her dad told her about. Bunny had been talking about it for weeks, and as she got done packing, she heard her mothers voice.
"Bunny... Earth to Bunny."
"What?"
"Are you ready to go?"
"Oh... Yeah, I am" Bunny smiled.
Sandalwood grabbed the bags, and they went to the car and left the house.
A few hours later the family arrived at the school, and Bunny thought it was amazing.
"Fluttershy, Sandalwood, is that you?" A dark blue haired woman approached the three.
As Bunny hid behind her mother, Fluttershy spoke. "Headmistress Luna, how wonderful to see you again. This behind me hiding is Bunny, she's starting this year."
"Bunny?" Luna checked her list. "Ah yes, right here, your roommate is Elegance. Rarity's daughter."
Bunny looked at Luna. "T... Thank you, ma'am."
Luna smiled. "You're very welcome, and here's your key. Building 13, room 3."
As Bunny, Sandalwood, and Fluttershy all got to the dorm, Bunny looked around.
"So many memories." Fluttershy sniffed the air.
Bunny turned to look at her mother. "Mom, I don't feel well, I'd like to go home now."
"Everyone feels like that, kid." Sandalwood told his daughter. Fluttershy nodded in agreement.
"Do you want us to help you unpack?" Fluttershy asked.
Bunny shook her head, and started to tear up.
Sandalwood started to cry, and hugged Bunny, and Fluttershy joined in.
Bunny backed away after what seemed like a thousand years of hugging. "You two should be going. I'll see you at Hanukkah time, yeah?"
Fluttershy and Sandalwood nodded, kissed Bunny on her head, and left.
Bunny stood in her empty room, and it finally sunk in. She was basically on her own, and was going to be living in a house with girls she didn't know. How was she going to do this? Bunny couldn't even take a shower without her mother having to constantly remind her. "Great, now I'm having an anxiety attack."
"Who are you talking to?" A girl with short purple hair said.
"Darling, you'll have a splendid time at this school, I just know it. The fashion activity club there, I started you know." Emerald Eyes's mother Rarity started to speak.
"Mom, I've told you time and time again. I'm not like you. I never will be. You listen to classical music, I listen to hardcore rap. You absolutely love fashion, I don't give a shit what I wear or what people think of me. I don't care! I'm not you, I never will be you." Emerald started to scream.
Even though Emerald Eyes looked just like her mother, with purple hair, only a bit shorter, and pail skin, Emerald Eyes was nothing like her mother. Emerald wanted to be herself, and Rarity couldn't see that.
"Darling, your nails are starting to grow... along with your teeth." Rarity started to back up. "Spike, darling!"
Spike, Emerald's father, came rushing in the room. "What's going on? What happened?"
Rarity hid behind Spike. "I was telling her about all the wonderful programs at Canterlot High and she got upset... I don't know what I said!"
"You know exactly what you said! It's the same thing you've been saying my whole life!" Emerald Eyes was steaming.
"I'm sorry, darling. I just want the best for you." Rarity tried explaining herself.
"Don't want the best for me, okay?" Emerald Eyes started calming down. There was so much that she hadn't told her mother, because she knew that there was no point. Emerald already told Rarity that she didn't want to be like her, but if she told her mother that she was gay? Hah! Emerald Eyes would probably be disowned. Emerald didn't hate her mother, and despised the fact that she looked like her.
"What is wrong, darling? You used to tell me everything, and it seems like this past year, you've.... drifted." Rarity sat on Emerald's bed, and Spike left.
"Nothing is the matter. You wouldn't care, and you'd probably disown me. Look, I'm getting ready for high school." Emerald Eyes looked at her mother.
"Try me." Rarity simply said.
Emerald Eyes sighed and closed her eyes. "I like females. I always have."
Rarity stood up, and put a hand on Emerald's shoulder. "Darling," she smiled, "you're to young to know what you like, you're not even 16 yet. Wait until next year, yes?"
"I don't want you as a mother anymore." Emerald Eyes grabbed her luggage and left.
As Emerald, Spike and her brother Dragon Heart got to the school, Spike turned to Emerald Eyes. "You need to forgive your mother."
Emerald laughed. "She told me I wasn't old enough to know what I liked, I beg to differ. She rejected my sexuality."
Spike looked down. "I will talk to her, okay? I know you and mom have never seen eye to eye, but, something has got to give. You do love your mom, right?"
Emerald Eyes scoffed.
"Em."
"Yes, I love my mom."
"Good, then I'll talk to her. She wants nothing but the best for you. I know that, because she's been saying it ever since you were born. She wouldn't even let me hold you until you were five months old."
"Yeah, and she's been telling me to get a boyfriend. I'm gonna laugh when I find a girlfriend here."
Spike nodded and hugged his daughter. "Whoever you find, make sure you don't get hurt, okay?"
Emerald Eyes hugged her father back. "Of course, daddy. I love you. But, I gotta go get my key, and see where the hell I'm going."
"Go, have fun and we'll see you at Christmas."
"Bye" Emerald placed a kiss on Spike's cheek and just like that she was gone.
"Hat?"
"Check."
"Boots?"
"Check."
"Love fer yer Momma?"
Apple Marmalade giggled, "check."
Applejack was helping her daughter pack everything she needed for school, when in reality, she didn't want Apple Marmalade to go. But Applejack knew that her daughter had to go to school, and that it was her old school.
"Momma? Are ya alright?"
"Yeah I'm alright. Jus' wonderin' where the time went."
"What time?"
"Ours." Applejack said as she sat on her daughters bed, knowing it would be the last time she'd be standing in the room for the next four years.
Apple Marmalade nodded and sat next to her mom. "I love ya. Yer my best friend, and ya know that, right?"
Applejack hugged her only child. "Of course I do. An' I love ya too," she said as she wiped away the tears, "we should finish packin'"
Apple Marmalade nodded, and stood up. Applejack went downstairs to get some cider.
Apple Marmalade grabbed her favorite picture off of her window. She looked at it and smiled. "I'll make ya proud, pa," she said as she put the photo in the bag. When Apple Marmalade was about four, her father was killed in a tractor accident, and her mother was there to see it. Apple Marmalade only remembered bits and pieces of her dad, but the stories that her mother had told, Apple knew that her father loved her very much.
"Ah got cider." Applejack said as she opened the door to Apple Marmalade's room.
"Cool. Ah finished packin'."
Applejack nodded, "lets have some cider, then be on our way, sound alright?"
Apple Marmalade nodded and took the cup from her mother. She knew that she was going to miss her moms cider, and her baked goods. Apple Marmalade looked almost exactly like her mother, with some brown streaks in her hair, which somehow she got after her father died. She was a hard worker, just like her mother, and mostly kept to herself. It made Apple Marmalade nervous about going to Canterlot High, because she knew nobody.
"Sugarcube, ya alright?" Applejack invaded Apple Marmalade's thoughts.
"Wha'? Yeah," Apple Marmalade chuckled nervously, "I'm fine. Should we get goin'?"
Applejack nodded, and the two went outside.
"So, you excited?" Applejack asked as she loaded the luggage into the truck.
"Ah guess. Ah don't know." Apple Marmalade looked down.
"Well, if it helps, ah went there." Applejack smiled
"Ya did?" Apple Marmalade beamed.
"Sure did."
"What's it like?"
"Pretty great, they got a great agriculture program there."
"Farmin'?"
"Farmin'"
Apple Marmalade started to get excited. She whistled for Winona, the trusted farm dog, who came running with her puppy, and the two dogs jumped in the truck. Applejack gave a look to Apple Marmalade, who smiled.
Applejack got into the truck, and started it. Apple Marmalade turned on the radio, which was playing her favorite country song.
"Apple Marmalade, since yer startin' school, I want ya to have this." Applejack pulled out a cellphone.
"Mah own cell phone?" Apple Marmalade's eyes got big.
Applejack laughed, "yep. It's already activated an' everything."
"Cool!"
As the two arrived to the school, Apple Marmalade's stomach sunk. This big building with a bunch of people, she started having an anxiety attack. A woman and her twins came over to Apple Marmalade and Applejack.
"Applejack!" The pink haired woman waved.
"Pinkie Pie? Is that you?"
"Wake up, wake up wake up! We're gonna go to school!" A pink frizzy haired woman said.
"No worries dear mother, for I am awake and dressed!" Cotton Candy was just as excited as her mother, Pinkie Pie.
You wouldn't be able to tell Pinkie Pie and Cotton Candy apart, except, Cotton Candy had some brown stripes going through her hair, and of course, the age. Cotton Candy was just like her mother, in the sense that, they both loved having fun, and both loved parties. Cotton Candy often helped her Pinkie at the bakery that was left to her, SugarCube Corner, and Cotton Candy absolutely loved it. There was nothing that Cotton Candy loved more than licking out the brownie bowl, while her mom hummed a song and baked about thirty batches for the lunch rush. Candy definitely aspired to be like her mother.
"So, what are you gonna do when you get to the most super duper awesomest school ever?" Pinkie Pie asked.
Cotton Candy giggled, "I'm gonna join a bakery club, the home EC, and probably a comedy club. I totally can't wait to get my emblem."
Pinkie smiled at how much her daughter was just like her. "I remember when I got my emblem," she said as she held her badge with three balloons, two blue and one yellow, "I knew then I was made to make people happy. Then, I had you!"
Cotton Candy giggled once again, "and Peanut Butter!"
"Of course Peanut Putter" Pinkie Smiled.
Cotton Candy looked at the luggage by her door, "Mom? What if I find a boyfriend?"
"Well, then you do. I did, your dad! After Dashie of course." Pinkie smiled.
Cotton Candy nodded.
"You nervous?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Nervousited is more like it." Cotton Candy giggled and winked.
"Hey, Hey!" Cheese Sandwich, Cotton Candy's dad, popped his head in.
"Daddy!" Cotton Candy ran to Cheese Sandwich, and hopped into his arms.
Cheese Sandwich laughed, "hows my favourite frizzy haired girl?"
"I'm good, but I'm sure Candy's good too!" Pinkie Pie giggled.
"Mom!" Cotton Candy started laughing, "he was talking about me!"
"Oh, I know." Pinkie Pie waved her hand.
"Ready to leave?" Cheese Sandwich asked.
Cotton Candy nodded apprehensively.
"Candy, you'll have your brother there, you do know that, right?" Pinkie said with tears in her eyes.
"Yes mom, I do."
Pinkie nodded and hugged her daughter, who in return hugged her mom back. Pinkie Pie honestly didn't want her daughter to go to Canterlot High, but she knew that Cotton Candy wanted to go, to be like her.
As the family pulled up to the building, a woman with blue, green and pink hair walked up to them.
"Hello, I'm Headmistress Celestia, and you two are?"
"I'm Cotton Candy."
"Peanut Butter, ma'am."
The headmistress looked up from the students, "do my eyes deceive me? Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich, is it really you?"
Pinkie and Cheese smiled and nodded together.
"Well, Pinkie, your cousin Applejack is here, and her daughter Apple Marmalade just so happens to be Cotton Candy's roommate." Celestia smiled.
Pinkie Pie gasped, "come on Candy! Let's go!"
"Okie dokie!" Cotton Candy took off with her mother.
The two girls approached the southerners.
"Applejack? Is that you?" Pinkie yelled from excitement.
Applejack and Apple Marmalade turned around to see Pinkie Pie and Cotton Candy.
"Howdy!" Applejack noticed Pinkie right away, "Apple Marmalade, this is Pinkie Pie, our kin."
"Howdy ma'am." Apple Marmalade tipped her hat.
Pinkie Pinkie smiled, "you don't have to call me ma'am. That would probably be Rarity, she has purple hair. Maybe. I haven't seen her lately. Anyway, this is Cotton Candy, my daughter. And guess what? You're roommates!"
"Hey there!" Cotton Candy said loudly.
Applejack laughed, "heh. Yep, she's yer daughter alright."
Pinkie Pie nodded, "Applejack lets go get something to eat, and let the two girls get settled into their room?"
"Sounds good ta me. I love ya Apple Marmalade, see ya fer tha holiday." Applejack kissed her daughter on the head.
"Bye bye, cutie pie, I love you!" Pinkie Pie hugged her daughter tight.
"Bye, Momma. Love ya too." Apple Marmalade looked at Applejack.
"I love you too mommy, say bye to Daddy for me!" Cotton Candy was eager to unpack.
The two teens were walking to the building, with keys in one hand, and bags in another, as their mothers watched them disappear.
The rock shaped alarm clock went off as it ran 7.30. Peanut Butter hit the off button, got up, and looked in the mirror.
"Ugh. Curly hair," Peanut Butter said to his reflection, "its because you're excited to go this school, I know. They have an amazing geology program at the school, and you're going to be a great geologist."
As Peanut Butter was talking, he heard a knock on his bathroom door.
"Yeah, who is it?"
"It's Dad, can I come in?"
"Sure, why not?"
The bathroom door opened, and Cheese Sandwich, Peanut Butter's dad, smiled, "nice hair. You're not excited or anything, are you?"
Peanut Butter smiled back, "I'm so excited, I can't wait."
Peanut Butter looked just liked his father, and had a twin sister Cotton Candy, who looked like their mother, Pinkie Pie. The one thing about Peanut Butter that made him stand out, was normally he had straight hair, except for when he got excited, which was mostly about rocks. Peanut Butter was very close with his Aunt Maud, who taught him everything he knew, and even gave him his first pet, Rockie, Boulder's son.
"I'm sure you can't wait, you've been talking about the Geology Program for months now, are you going to take Rockie?" Cheese Sandwich inquired,
"Of course, he can't sit here and starve." Peanut Butter crossed his arms at his father.
"Okay, sorry. And you're right, we wouldn't want Rockie to starve." Cheese tried to smile.
Peanut Butter looked down at the floor, "I have to get dressed, dad."
"Right, of course. I'll let you get dressed, and calm your hair down, yeah?" Cheese Sandwich laughed.
Cheese was right, Peanut Butter couldn't go to his new school looking like his parents, and his twin. Peanut Butter turned around and got dressed, and was able to immediately flatten his hair. He knew that he had an image to uphold, and that Peanut Butter and Cotton Candy were polar opposites.
A little while later, the family showed up at the school, as the family pulled up to the building, a woman with blue, green and pink hair walked up to them.
"Well, Pinkie, your cousin Applejack is here, and her daughter Apple Marmalade just so happens to be Cotton Candy's roommate." Celestia smiled, and just like that, the girls were gone.
"Well, that was exciting, wasn't it?" Cheese Sandwich was scratching his head.
"Something like that." Peanut Butter looked around, wondering who his roommate was, "Ma'am, can you tell me who my roommate is?"
"Why sure I can!" Headmistress Celestia looked at her clipboard, "your roommates name is Night Light, his mothers name is Twilight Sparkle."
"Thanks." Peanut Butter nodded and turned to his father, "well, Dad, I'm off. Tell Mom I said bye. I love you, I'll see you around the holiday."
Cheese Sandwich nodded, "I love you too buddy. Have fun, and don't do anything I wouldn't do."
Peanut Butter waved to his father and disappeared inside.
"Star! You have everything in the human world, clothes, food, you're going to be fine!" Twilight Sparkle told her young filly.
"I know, Mom! I'm so excited! Where's this portal?" Star was hopping around on all four hooves, excitedly.
"Well, we have to get going, and the portal is right outside the school, and we have to be sneaky about it, if everypo-body finds out that you got switched, all chaos will be released. So you, keep your mouth shut. And it is everybody."
"Yes mother, I'm there to learn to be a princess, not some stupid Unicorn," Star gasped, "will I still be able to do magic?"
"I don't think so." Twilight said as she turned on the portal.
"Wait!" The two heard from the hallway, just then a light purple coat, with dark purple hair with a blue streak came running through the doors.
"Aunt Starlight!" Star yelled.
"I couldn't let you go, without giving you something first." Starlight smiled.
"A present? Oh boy! What is it? I love presents!" Star smiled, she had the same smile as her mother, and took after her mother, in more than one way.
Starlight smiled, "it's just a little something I made," she said as she gave Star a necklace.
"Oh wow!" Star smiled even more, "thank you! I'll keep it forever!"
Starlight hugged her goddaughter, "I'll miss you, kid. Be good, and no casting spells on anyone."
"Ready?" Twilight Sparkle said as the portal started to glow.
"Ready Mom!" Star yelled as she released her hug from Starlight Glimmer, and ran to her mother.
"Let's go, then." Twilight started to walk through the portal, followed by her daughter.
For what seemed like three hours, the two had finally arrived, greeted by the human Twilight, and her daughter.
"I have the luggage here for the semester, it's obvious that they're the same size, and Night Light doesn't know anything." The human Twilight noted.
"Thank you, but it's weird and dangerous for two of each of us to be here, so, we should go." Princess Twilight smiled.
The human Star nodded, "I'm so excited to learn about Equestria!"
Princess Twilight smiled again, "wonderful, I can't wait to teach you!"
Human Star hugged her mother, and went through the portal with Princess Twilight.
"Are you excited to learn about this world? Your mother knows pretty much everything." Twilight shifted her glasses on her nose.
"Yeah, I'm pretty excited! I know nothing, and I've been wanting to visit, and do this for a long time!" Star smiled.
Twilight smiled, "well, you should probably get inside, to your dorm."
"Right, I should, see you then." Star said as she went inside with her unfamiliar luggage.
"Mom, are you ready? I can't drive myself until next semester." The tall, purple haired boy said.
"Yes, Night Light, I'm ready, just wait for your sister, okay?" Twilight Sparkle, the boys mother said.
Night Light sighed and yelled to his little sister, "Star! Hurry up!"
The younger girl with blue hair with purple streaks, grabbed her contacts and ran into the bathroom.
Night Light shook his head, "I don't get why she just doesn't wear her glasses, it's not like they're a bad thing."
"Because they get in the way, and she thinks they're uncool." Twilight smiled, as she rolled luggage out to the van.
"But glasses are great. I love mine, I really do." Night Light smiled as he shifted his on his face.
"I know that, and you know that, but, Star doesn't seem to like hers, and that's okay." Twilight nodded.
"I'm ready to start school." Star ran out, knowing she was hiding a huge secret from her brother.
"Great, lets go." Twilight got in the purple mini-van.
The two kids got into the van, and, like always Night Light called dibs.
"I can't believe that this is my first year!" Star tried to act excited, of course, she was going to Equestria, but she couldn't tell her older brother.
Night Light shrugged, "just wait until next year."
"You by good boy, got held back." Twilight looked at her son, who looked at his feet.
"Yeah, sorry about that, Mom." Night Light felt bad, he got held back, due to the trouble he caused, and the pranking he did. Night Light was going to be more focused, and earn better grades this year, because he himself didn't want to graduate when he was 20. It was bad enough he was going to graduate when he was 19, but, he didn't want to push it.
"It's fine, Night Light, but don't fuck up again, okay?" Twilight was ready to discipline her son. It wasn't often that she swore, but when she did, her kids knew that she meant business.
"Y-yes ma'am." Night Light looked out the window.
A few hours had passed, and the family had arrived.
"I'm going to get your sister checked in, you know the drill." Twilight confirmed.
Night Light nodded, "yep," and sighed.
He didn't really want to be here, but he knew he didn't have a choice, and he also knew that he was at one of the most elite boarding schools in the country, and that was something to be proud of. Night Light grabbed his luggage and went inside. As Night Light walked the hallways, he looked at his key, "42," he sighed. "I'm probably going to get some lame roommate, not going to get along with him, and he'll get me in trouble. I can't wait."
Night Light pushed the elevator button, and got on the elevator. He pushed it for the fourth floor and waited. After what seemed like an hour, the doors opened and he stepped off. Night Light walked down the hallway to find his door already opened. "Great," he thought to himself.
He walked in and saw a tall teenager with dark straight hair, setting up a rock collection, "I haven't picked a bed, it's up to you where you want," the teen said in a monotone voice.
"Come on, dude! We're gonna be late!" The rainbow haired woman yelled from the stairs.
"Look out! Flying luggage!" The teenager yelled from the top of the stairs as he threw his suitcases down the flight of stairs.
"Jesus Christ, Wildfire, when you were 6, and you came out, you still weren't as bad!" Wildfire's mother yelled.
"Yeah, yeah I know. Hey, how am I gonna get my hormones?" Wildfire asked Rainbow Dash.
"We'll send them to your nurse in your building, duh." Rainbow Dash smirked.
Wildfire stuck out his tongue and walked out to the car, with his dufflebags, full of unfolded clothes.
"I'm gonna miss you, kid. You've grown up over the years. You know?" Rainbow Dash knew not to get all choked up over goodbyes.
"I'm gonna miss you too, Mom. You've helped me find myself, and you and Dad never doubted me, and because of that, I love you." Wildfire hugged Rainbow Dash with everything he was worth. When Wildfire was about 6, he came out as transgender, and both of his parents accepted him. Since then, Wildfire's lived up to his name.
"What's gonna happen when you find that special someone?" Rainbow Dash smiled.
"That's not for me, this guy's gonna live the single life, forever, and ever and ever." Wildfire climbed on the car.
Rainbow Dash smiled, "if you say so, now get off of my car dude!"
Wildfire climbed off of his moms car and smiled, "can we go? I'd like to get there before graduation."
"Let's," Rainbow Dash got into the car, which had been like a family pet, "oh, before we go, I have a present for you."
"I like presents." Wildfire smiled.
"I know, dude, I know." Rainbow Dash smiled back, what she was about to give him, she almost couldn't part with.
"Well, what is it?" Wildfire was almost jumping in his seat.
Rainbow Dash took a breath, "I, I want you to take care of Tank. He's getting old now, and he needs someone that will be around him a lot, and you can take him with you outside, and he does hibernate, so you don't have to worry about winter time, so will you do me the honor?"
Wildfire teared up, "of course I will, Mom. I love Tank and I grew up with him. He's my little man."
"Great, go get him." Rainbow had said while starting the car.
Wildfire ran into the house and ran up the stairs, "Tank! Where are you little dude?"
Tank raised his head out of his shell and hit his glass with his foot.
Wildfire smiled and went over to the tank, "hey dude, wanna come to school with me?"
Tank yawned and tried to climb out of the tank, and Wildfire took that as a yes.
"Alright!" Wildfire grabbed the Tortoise, and ran downstairs, as he ran out the door, he grabbed the propeller that Twilight made for him, and outside they went.
"You're slower than him!" Rainbow Dash laughed.
"Oh, shut up!" Wildfire buckled up and held onto Tank.
Rainbow Dash stepped on the gas, and went fast, which was something they both loved. Wildfire couldn't wait to be at this school, but he was worried at the same time.
"Mom, your sure I'm in the male dorm, right?"
"Yes, Wildfire."
"Positive?"
"Jesus fuck, yes!"
"K."
Rainbow shook her head, in her mind, she was nervous, not only because her son was probably going to be one if not the only transgender kid in the school, but because of bullies, it was sad to say that Canterlot had bullies, but time and time again, she reassured her son, that no matter what, if he needed to, he could call and come home.
A few hours later, Rainbow Dash and Wildfire pulled up to the big building.
"Wildfire, wake up." Rainbow said as she shook her snoring son. She knew his hormones made him tired, but they were worth it.
"Huh? What? We here yet?" Wildfire jumped.
Rainbow Dash chuckled, "yeah we're here. Come on."
Wildfire sleepily got out of the car and stretched, then grabbed Tank, "well little buddy, we're here," the teenager and the tortoise looked around at all the parents and students.
"Are you Wildfire?" A tall woman with dark hair asked.
"Uh, yes?" Wildfire turned to the woman, ready to throw Tank.
"I'm one of the headmistresses, Headmistress Luna. It's a pleasure to meet you," she said as she extended her hand.
Wildfire shook her hand, "right back atcha."
"You are Rainbow Dash's son, aren't you?" Luna asked.
"Of course I am. I'm awesome, and she's awesome," Wildfire smiled, he smiled because not only was he proud to be Rainbow Dash's son, but Luna recognized that he was in fact male.
"I see," Luna said as she checked her clipboard, "well, you will be in a dorm with a male named Dragon Heart, here is your key. I hope that you are ready for the school year, because it will be fun."
Wildfire took his key and thanked Luna, "well Mom, this is it. I'll take care of Ol' Tank here, and, of course I'll keep in touch."
By the time Wildfire stopped talking, Rainbow was crying.
"Mom, are you okay?" Wildfire asked.
"I'm fine... Don't look at me, close your eyes and give me a hug," Rainbow Dash felt like she was hit with reality. She now realized her baby boy, her only child, was going off to school, and that she wouldn't be seeing him for a few months.
Wildfire put Tank down, and hugged his mother as hard as he could, he was going to miss his mother as much as she was him, "I gotta go, Mom."
Rainbow Dash wiped away her tears, "right, go."
Wildfire grabbed his bags and Tank and ran to the building, new him, new life.
"Hey kid, you ready to start one of the most elite schools?" Spike asked his son.
"Of course, father, everyone knows our family, and, of course, we're expected to be there." Dragon Heart knew that he had an image to uphold, and unlike his sister, Emerald Eyes, Dragon knew was like their mother, Rarity.
"Well, good. I'm glad." Spike half smiled.
"Is something wrong?" Dragon Heart wondered, as he carefully packed his ties.
"I just can't believe you two are growing up. It seemed like yesterday you two were being born." Spike looked down at his feet.
"Father, you do know we'll keep in touch, no?" Dragon Heart reassured his father.
"Of course I do, but promise me something."
"What?"
"Protect Emerald Eyes, okay?"
Dragon Heart nodded. He knew in his heart that Emerald could protect herself, but to prevent an argument with his father, he agreed. Dragon knew that if anything, Emerald needed to protect him. Dragon Heart was the weaker of the twins, and people often made fun of him because of the fact he was proper, and was often called a fag, and gay.
"Thank you." Spike smiled.
"Of course, father. I care for my twin sister, even if she can be a bit odd, at times." Dragon noted.
Spike went to open his mouth when he heard his wife, Rarity, scream. Dragon Heart and Spike ran to Emerald Eyes's room.
"That was... Something, wasn't it?" Dragon Heart asked.
"I don't get why they always fight." Spike shook his head.
"Dad! I'm ready to go. Mom's not coming. She's nothing to me." Emerald Eyes carried her luggage outside.
Spike looked at Rarity, who was wiping tears away.
"Dragon, go get your stuff." Spike instructed his son.
"Yes, father."
"Rarity, I'll talk to her, okay?"
"Yes, darling, I do not see how it will work. But, alright." Rarity kissed her husband
"I'm ready, father. Mother, I'll see you around Christmas?" Dragon Heart looked at his mother.
"Oh, my baby boy. I will miss you. Make sure Emerald takes care of you, yes?"
Dragon smiled and hugged his mother. "Yes, mother, of course," and left.
