Meanwhile in Equestria, Princess Twilight Sparkle was doing her royal duties with some assistance of Spike the little dragon. When she was about to finish it up, she heard her journal ringing. She went to it, opened up her journal with her horn, and read a serious emergency note from Sunset Shimmer:

"Dear Princess Twilight;

I've recently heard Applejack's horrible experience, and she needs your help!

She is in danger and we have to do something to save her! How exactly can we get

rid of her evil clone who has been controlling her every now and then? It started to

happen to her two years ago. Applejack and I will explain more about it when you

come back through the portal.

Princess Twilight began to panic afterwards. "Applejack is in danger!" she said, "We need to save her before it's too late!" Then she turned to Spike. "Spike, turn on the mirror portal. This is a serious business."

"You got it!" Spike said as he did so and then hopped on her back. They went through the mirror portal and made it to Canterlot High.

"Twilight!!!" her friends said in unison, and then she saw Sci-Twi again. She was still clueless about when she and Sci-Twi met each other after the Friendship Games. Other than that, she needed to focus on Applejack's critical problem. Sunset gave her a hug, and explained the whole experience Applejack was in, with some help from Applejack of course. Hearing this, Princess Twilight felt her heart sinking really fast and wanted to get to examining Applejack's scars.

At Applejack's house, and in her room, Princess Twilight and Sunset asked her to take off her top and her skirt, but to leave her undergarments on. Applejack blushed very hard and did as she was told. Then she was asked to lay down on her bed, and she did so. She felt very uncomfortable and continued to blush hard.

"Pretend that you were in the hospital again," said Sunset.

"Um...okay?" questioned Applejack, now feeling confused.

Sunset and Princess Twilight began to examine the three scars that had been surgically taken care of.

Then, Princess Twilight realized that Applejack had been telling her and the rest of the truth, figured out who attacked her, and started to panic again. "Oooohhhh no no no no no no no no no!!!!" Applejack soon felt nervous while the panicking was still going on. "I've just figured out who attacked her!!!" exclaimed Princess Twilight, "It was Cutthroat, the cursed axeman!!!"

"WHHAAAAT?!?!?!?" her friends screamed.

"Cutthroat?!?" Applejack asked shockingly.

"Yes," replied Princess Twilight, "He lived in the dark forest near the apple orchard, finding anyone to contaminate his cursed souls with. He only used his axe to attack the victim in order to do so. Then the results, became worse. Whenever the full moon shines on the victim, he or she transforms from good to evil because of the contamination from the cursed souls. If this doesn't stop before the full moon rises on Nightmare Night, the victim will become and remain evil forever! To stop the cursed souls from controlling Applejack, she has to say the short spell to separate her good side from her evil side before the transformation. Then she should be able to defeat Lumberjack and finally be free again and the scars should vanish very quickly. When Lumberjack is defeated, she will go into the mirror prison inside the mirror, and the mirror you hold has to be shattered so she will never escape and take over your body ever again." Then she gave Applejack the mirror. "This spell has to take place in the same forest where you were attacked," she said, "It will not work anywhere else."
