Author's Note

Escape From Cybertron

Far off across into the galaxy, on a section of Cybertron, several Cybertronian vehicles were speeding along on an empty road.

This group of Autobots were racing down a speedway in an deserted city heading towards their destination. There wasn't anyone around in the empty city. In fact, it was 100% abandoned. Every citizen had left the buildings a long time ago since there were numerous amounts of battles that took place. There was nothing left but except a few buildings with dozens of holes and parts missing. It was practically inhabitable.

As for the vehicles that were speeding, one was a Cybertronian car, another was a tank, and the last one was a fighter jet. All of them were zooming in one group heading for their destination. On each one of them there was an Autobot Elite Guard symbol.

The vehicles made another turn and eventually pulled up to a giant Autobot fortress that was surrounded by several Autobot guards. The three Autobots pulled up and transformed into their robot forms.

"Welcome Headmasters," the guard said. "Come on in."

The Autobot Headmasters walked on in entering inside of the base. Their feet clanked against the ground as they walked through the hallways, entering in one particular room. And once they entered in, they were met with one Autobot who stood. He was mostly colored in blue and orange, and had an Elite Guard symbol on his chest. This was Sentinel Prime, one of the few remaining commanders on Cybertron.

All three Headmasters gave salutes.

"Finally. Chromedome, Hardhead, Brainstorm, what took you so long?" Sentinel snapped.

"Just enjoying the view of the empty city, Sentinel Prime," Chromedome said.

Sentinel groaned, "I don't get what it is you like about empty places."

"Its nice to have some peace and quiet every once in a while. And it certainly doesn't help that your voice is about as loud as those Dinobots," Chromedome grunted.

"The same voice that you repaired and back with the Autobot Elite Guard?" Sentinel snapped.

"That was all Ultra Magnus's doing you dolt."

"Stop," Brainstorm interrupted. "Can we get through one day without you two bickering at each other. I swear this happens every time..."

"Don't blame him Brainstorm, he's just made because somebot chased off one of our friends," Hardhead snarled.

Sentinel glared, "Are you talking about Highbrow? He was a complete moron, he shouldn't have tried to leave Cybertron in the first place. The minute he reappears he's under arrest for assaulting a high commander," Sentinel huffed.

Hardhead just facepalmed in annoyance. But Brainstorm cleared his throat and interrupted.

"Anyways, Sentinel. You called us to discuss something important, I assume?" Brainstorm asked.

"Yes, I did. A Decepticon fugitive that we've locked up from Autobot boot camp a few years ago has busted out, and now he's on the loose. We believe you three are the best suited for the job. Think you can handle it?" Sentinel asked.

"Not a problem Sentinel," Hardhead said, "We handle these kind of situations all the time."

"Can you give us an ID?" Chromedome asked.

Sentinel pulled out a small holographic sheet and showed them the file on the fugitive. The three Headmasters nodded with agreement.

"We'll take care of it right away," Chromedome said.

"Headmasters, transform!" Brainstorm called out.

All three of them transformed into their vehicular modes while their heads transformed into miniature robots and clinged onto each other's sides. The three vehicles then turned themselves around and sped out of the building, leaving a trail of dust for Sentinel Prime to cough in.

As the three Headmaster Autobots sped off into the city again, they began moving their searchlights around, to see if they can get any better view of the fugitive they were after. The lights flickered through alleyways, shined over the streets and over other Cybertronians, but there was no sign of the fugitive they were after.

"Where do you think he could be?" Hardhead asked.

"Don't know, but we got to find him and fast," Chromedome said.

"Where do you think someone like him would go?"

"Based on his movements and behavior, if I was him, I'd probably go for a Spacebridge and bridge off this planet," Brainstorm said.

The three Elite Guard Headmasters sped on by past another alleyway, and made a right turn passing by a heavily guarded Spacebridge. There were dozens of Autobot guards surrounding the place, it was nearly impossible for anyone to just barge on through. But one bot in particular had other ideas...

Hidden in the darkness from behind a building, one singular Cybertronian peeked at the gates protected by the guards.

"Hm... One innocent... other guilty..."

The Cybertronian readied his arm, and it immediatley transformed into a high powered weapon. Then hiding back into the darkness some more, he aimed it towards a top of another building just beyond him. The blast was aimed at just the right position, and a shot of green electric energy zapped the top of the building, getting the guards attention.

The guards were unsure of what had happened, but there was no harm in checking it out. So they ran from their posts going towards the source. The stupidity just made the Cybertronian laugh.

"Stupid guards..."

The Cybertronian quickly sneaked up towards the gate and paused for a moment to look around him just for safety. He looked on his left, he looked to his right, and he looked behind and above. Nobody following him, what a stroke of luck.

He hit a button on a control console which opened up the gates, and he ran on through trying to make it to where he wanted to go. He ran up several flights of stairs which eventually led to what he was looking for. The Spacebridge.

"Yes...."

The Cybertronian walked up to the control panel and gazed towards the switches and little screen in the lower corner. There were some slots along the sides for coordinates. Oh so many places to go, but where to? Quintessa? Athenia?

The Cybertronian scratched his chin some more and hit a few buttons. Who knew where he would go, but at this point, anywhere was better than here on Cybertron. Better to be on an unknown world instead of here on Cybertron where he was wanted by all.

He hit a few buttons and eventually, a portal opened up. He gazed up at the open portal, and a big smile came on his face.

"Freedom... at last..." the Cybertronian said.

"Hold it right there, Decepticon!"

The Cybertronian looked around and saw the Headmasters pointing their guns towards him. All of them didn't look very happy to see what he had done.

"By order of the Cybertronian Police, you are under arrest. Now are you going to come along quietly, or loudly?" Hardhead said, clutching a pair of stasis cuffs in his hands.

The Cybertronian looked at them for a moment, and he raised his hands in surrender. For about five seconds. He fired mutliple zaps onto the Headmasters and then shot them at the controls.

Soon enough, the entire Spacebridge began shorting out and creating a big whir noise. Electricity static noise was made, there were bolts that were zapping all over the place, and the sound of the whir got bigger and bigger. Almost as if it was ready to explode.

The Cybertronian looked around him for a moment. It was his final goodbye to Cybertron. And good riddance. He gave one salute to the area around him, and jumped through the portal not looking back. But one guard saw him jump through and gave an evil smirk on his face.

"Hm... escaping are we? Oh they'll be most pleased indeed," the guard chuckled, before his expression turned grim, "But if he lets anyone know who I am... well..." the guard's expression changed to an evil look, "then we'll have to finish him on our own, shall we?"

The guard made a bolt for the portal and jumped through just in time. On the outside, the portal began to overload some more as more electricity sparks shot around the place. And before anyone could react, the entire Spacebridge had shut itself down. No power, no energy, it was no longer running.

The Headmasters who were on the ground on their backs looked back up, and gasped when they saw what happened.

"No..." Hardhead murmured.
