Twilight Sparkle woke up to find that her crown (and element of harmony) was shaking heavily on the table. A look of confusion grew on her face. Why was it shaking? She took it aside quickly, and set it on the floor of the room. She shot a beam of magic used to fix things at the spastic crown. She expected it to stop shaking, but instead, as soon as the beam hit it, a huge beam of light shot out from it in all directions. The light reflected off the numerous windows, until Twilight was practically blind. She shut her eyes, but she could still feel the light glaring in them. Suddenly, a giant BOOM rumbled the very ground and resonated throughout the palace, and when she opened her eyes, all that was left of the element were a few shards. She could hear something else like a nuke going through the palace, and when she rushed downstairs she could she multicolored shards laying all over the floor. Her eyes went wide as she realized what she had done.
The Elements of Harmony were destroyed.
Eucalyptus heard a faint boom coming from the direction of Ponyville. A few seconds after, the sky went pitch-black. She wondered what it could be, and figured Luna was just making a big scene of raising the moon. So she blew it off. But she heard a cackling sound that sounded a lot like a certain very familiar villainous creature that was definitely not a pony and was also out to steal Canterlot and Equestria for herself, and gasped. Then, Eucalyptus rushed off to the deep reaches of the Everfree.
Derpy Hooves was off to see Dr. Hooves when a rather loud boom sounded from the Castle of Friendship. She disregarded it,, but a moment later the clouds all turned pink, and chocolate rain started to fall onto her. She didn't recognize it, but didn't drink it anyway. Derpy quickly rushed over to Dr. Hooves' lab as fast as she could possibly run.
Dr. Hooves didn't see any of the stuff that was happening outside, or hear the booms coming from the Castle of Friendship, but when Derpy rushed into his lab, telling of the chocolate rain and pink clouds, he knew something fishy was going on. Just the, a maniacal laugh rad throughout all of Ponyville, belonging to only one of the most evil creatures in the knowledge of ponies-Discord. They both knew something had happened, but they had no idea what. So, using a spell of Dr. Hooves', they were off to talk to Twilight Sparkle.
Vinyl Scratch had just woke up from a long nap, when a burst of thunder boomed. She didn't think the pegasi were planning to make it rain for the daily weather. Suddenly, a burst of light struck down. Vinyl barely had any time to dash out of the way before the beam rammed down right next to her. She shielded her eyes for a second, but when she looked back, she saw somebody nopony had expected to see in a very long time. He cackled, and another burst of thunder boomed across the sky. Vinyl ran away from the scene as fast as she could and to the Castle of Friendship.
Lyra Heartstrings was having out with Bon-Bon when the sky went black. A purple mist swirled through them, a look of pure evil on its face. Wait... mist with faces? Lyra shook her head, but it was still there. But Bon-Bon wasn't. Rather, she was chasing it through the snow and soon to the Crystal Empire. She shook her head again, slower, but still ran after her. As Bon-Bon rushed through the gates of the Crystal Empire, Lyra followed her, but the purple mist didn't. It rammed into the gates repeatedly, but never made it through. Suddenly, a loud crack came from the gates, and the mist rushed through towards the Crystal Palace. Lyra was about to follow Bon-Bon when the ground shook, and a shining green gem burst through the ground.
Bo-Bon had followed the purple mist into the Crystal Empire, when a tremor ran through the ground, shaking her. what's going on? She thought. The ground started to crack open, and a beautiful purple gem rose from the crack. Bon-Bon reached out to touch it, and it flew over to her neck. It glowed, and when she looked down, a golden necklace with a candy-shaped gem of the same color rested in the center. Ignoring it, she shook her mane and tail lightly, and rushed into the Crystal Palace. When she arrived in, however, she saw-NOT Princess Cadence, but a gray pony with a red cape draped over most of his body. A statue was sitting over by the throne. The pony laughed.
Sombra. Looking around, she noticed Cadence was owhere to be found. With a gasp and wide eyes, Bon-Bon realized that the statue was not just decorative, but once was a live pony. Sombra laughed again. Suddenly, a magical force seemed to lift her up and move her. As the world around her blackened, she saw Sombra picking up the Crystal Heart and destroyed it..
