As I started to take off I looked behind me so see one of the marines on the chaingun look at me with a smile.
"You ready to kick some convenient ass?" He yelled
"As long as you don't kill us with that cockyness." I commented jokefully
"As you as our pilot nothing can take us down!" He laughed
I shook my head before taking us further up and towards the out skirt of the base.
"This Spartan 1620 leaving base and heading towards battle zone. Over." I informed
"Roger that Spartan, kick some ass for us." The commander said
Laughing I pushed the stick forward and left the base. Turning off the radio I looked out the window to my left and saw a couple houses untouched by the war. The further he got from the base the more destroyed places became, even over head we could see the corpses of human soldiers and convo net alike littering the streets. As we became closer to the dead zone I saw a group a marines patrolling the area with weapons at the ready. A few of them looked up and saluted us before continuing their patrol.
"We're just about to hit the outskirts of the battle zone. Get ready, this is about to become on hell of a flight." I called out
"Roger!" He replied in a soft tone
After a couple minutes a couple spikes imbedded themselves into the corner of the pelican as I flew over heard a small battle zone.
"Light'em up." I commanded before hearing the soft buzz of the chaingun going off.
Smiling I started circling around the periminter to give the gunner max view of the battle. A constant tink kept going off the the sides of the bird as we were being shot by enemy weapons. I turned slightly to see a small hole going through the sides in almost a perfect line. Flying a bit faster I decided to get us a bit higher up and a bit further from the fight.
"What are you doing?! The fights down there!" He yelled out angerly
"I don't know if you noticed but there-" I was cut off by a missile hitting one of wings. "Shit, hold on!" I yelled over the mic.
All I saw before darkness was crashing into the road right into a convenient plantoon. "Get fucked..." I whispered before falling unconscious.
"The fuck happened...." I asked waking up to my sore body. "Marine you still alive? I paused waiting for a reply. "Mari-." I closed my mouth when I turned around to see his corpse slammed into the co pilots seat. I could see bones and burnt flesh from his wounds.
"God fucking dammit. How am I gonna tell not only command but his family how he died?" Sighing I turned the chair and got up before falling over with a loud thump. "Let's try this again." Pushing myself up manège to shakily stand up before leaning against the wall.
I shakily walked over to the marine and croushed down next to him. Reaching over I grabbed his dog tags and took them off of him. "You're name a was Daneil aye? Well Daneil let's see if we can get out of here." I said after reading his name.
Getting back up I went over to the back of the pelican before pressing a button on the bottom of a chair. A clicking sound was heard before revealing racks full of weapons and ammo. Smiling I limped over and looked over the guns before grabbing a small pistol and a couple clips, putting a clip in the pistol I clipped it into the side of my leg before walking back to the seat. Giving the guns another look over I leaned down and clicked the button and watched the racks of guns disappear. Turning I walked back to the pilot seat and clicked the button next to the side of the seat. Turning to the right I noticed the chaingun was broken with the gun broken off and gone. Walking over to it I Jumping down I turned and shut the door before looking around the area I was in. I noticed that I was surrounded by trees and that they even looked weird. Shrugging it off i walked to one of the trees before jumping into the tree and activating my cloak, jumping from tree to tree I noticed a small little but made of what looks to leaves. Shrugging I jumped down before walking to the window of the hut.
"Come on girls. Let go!" Someone yelled
Upon hearing this I quickly laid onto the ground and put my hand on my gun. Soon after I saw what looked to be.... six ponies?
"Did you girls hear that?" The purple horned one called out sounding female. The sight of her made want to pull out my pistol but I suppressed the want.
"Whatever it was I can beat it! I'll show it not to mess with the amazing rainbow dash!" The cyan one wings shouted while shoving it's hooves out like it's punching sounding femalish too.
"Darling, you're gonna hurt yourself if you keeps doing that." The white one scoffed sounding female as well.
"What's up with all of them sounding female?" I whispered under my breathe
"Did any of ya'll just her that?" The orange one called out with a accent tone and female sounding.
Getting up I quickly ran the direction of some tress before quickly jumping up a tree and jumping away.
After some distance I stopped and sat down on a branch. "What the fuck was that?!" I whispered under my breathe. "I've never seen one of those things.... Well not one that can talk that is." I said before getting back
About to jump I noticed that my scanner is offline.
"I spent all this time not knowing my scanner is offline?! I'm basically walking blind?!" I yelled put angerly
