Creeping from the darkness

Another day that passed and there wasn't anything to do. We still hadn't something planned or a mission from the Cutie Map. We didn't even have a letter from Spike from his dragon meeting. We didn't even have a letter from Spike from his dragon meeting. The time seemed to go much slower than normal, making it seem like a joke.

• Somepony has anything to do? - said finally Starlight.

• I don't have anything. - answered Rainbow with bored tone.

• Sorry darling, but lately things have been really quiet. - added Rarity.

• That's what worries me, it's like something essential is missing, i think. - I said.

The quiet started to be stressing next day and I think a was the first to be affected by that, but finally something happened. When we were in the living room, a mysterious letter appered from nowhere, like if it had been teleported. Slowly Starlight walked towards the letter and read it, but her facial response wasn't even a bit positive.

• We have a big problem. - said Starlight returning to us.

She left the letter on the table in a position that all of us could read it. It was a letter from Celestia. But it wasn't one of the usual letters, this seemed more dirty and broken, like if it was urgent to deliver it as fast as possible.

"There's no much time, you have to hurry,you've probably noticed that lately things have been too quiet. Something happened, someone entered the castle and they took us to an unknown place. Now they're coming for you. It's someone else, it's not about anything you've managed before, you'll need help of a friend. I think Twilight knows who I'm talking about. See through the mirror. Good Luck, you'll need it"

• What does she mean that you know who to search, Twi? - asked Applejack.

I kept thinking, reading the text again, till I realised who she meant.

• Of course! The mirror, Sunset!

• Sunset Shimmer? The one who tried to rule Equestria? - said Rainbow.

• She changed, now she's better pony, or person than before. - I answered.

Then I went to the mirror's room, where I could use the book to call Sunset. When I was there, I took it and wrote as fast as I could. Seconds, minutes, and there wasn't any response.

• And... something? - said Fluttershy.

• No, I think I'm gonna have to go for myself, I won't delay, I promise. - I said.

• Emm... Why is a mirror so special and who's that Sunset Shimmer? - asked Starlight.

• Ah, she was Celestia's student before Twilight, but she gone selfish and arrogant. Then she went to another dimension, but our Twi could help her to go in a better path. - explained Pinkie too fast.

• Wow... Just wow... - exclaimed Starlight

• We don't have time, I'll tell you the details later, I'll be right back - I said.

Then I jumped towards the portal. I came out fast and finished on the ground. Suddenly, someone was in front of me. It was me.

• Hey Twilight, or me, I don't know how to call you. - said the other Twilight with a smile.

• Hi, I know that we have a lot to talk about, but I'm hurry, where's Sunset?

• She's in the music room with the others, we were practicing and I went outside a little bit to rest, just I'm the moment you've appeared. - she answered me.

• Thanks, can you guide me please, I was never there. - I said.

-Sure.

We went through the halls, I started to remember the moments that I spent here with friends, good moments. Then we arrived the music room, when I entered, I saw everyone taking a break.

• Girls, guess who came. - said Twilight.

Everyone was surprised about my unexpected visit, and they hugged me, Sunset too.

• I don't want to disturb, but something terrible is happening in Equestria. - then I turned to Sunset.

• Celestia told me that we needed you.

• Me? Why me? - she said, surprised.

• She said that we needed all help possible.

• It is, so... Will you come? - I asked her.

She agreed and then we said goodbye to the others. We were going to jump into the portal, but Sunset asked me something.

• Do you think I can be of help? - she asked sadly.

• Obviously, don't feel guilty about what happened long time ago. If it makes you feel better, you have friends that you can count on.

She smiled to me and then we entered the portal at the same time and appeared driven at full speed. But when I got up, things weren't good.

The doors were closed with shelves blocking them, while Rainbow and Applejack were trying to stop whatever was in the outside. Pinkie, Rarity and Fluttershy were sitting in the middle of the room hugging each other strongly. Starlight was searching for some spell, probably. I helped Sunset to stand up.

• Eh... I know everypony, but who's the one that is over there? - Sunset told me, pointing to Starlight.

• Ah, she's Starlight, my pupil.

She probably have heard me, because she turned to us and lifted her hoof up, while she said:

• Nice to meet you! - she shouted.

Sunset returned the greeting. Then we went to her.

• What are you searching, a spell? - I asked.

• Yeah, something like that. - she answered.

• Who are they? - Sunset asked.

• We barely saw them, they're giant lizards, with terrifying eyes, of like 6 feet.

• Can you hurry? we can't hold them much more! - shouted Rainbow.

We searched and searched, till I remembered a secret passage, which is for emergencies near the terrace. I told everypony, that the passage was our only escape. All agreed and then we hid, so they couldn't see us. The doors opened sharply and the creatures appeared growling and then they started breaking everything. While they were doing that we slipped away towards the exit. When only Rarity left, accidentally she stepped on Pinkie's horn, just what we needed. The lizards looked at us and they're faces weren't nothing friendly.

• Run! - shouted Rainbow.

We ran at top speed through the halls, avoiding furniture. Sometimes I looked behind us to check if we lost them, but they still behind us. We reached an enormous room, where the passage was. When we were half way from there, a giant lizard which was following us took Sunset by her hoof, then it held her on the ground, while it called its mates. Quickly, Starlight threw a beam to the lizard, in the exact moment, where the creature was distracted, Sunset threw a beam too. It fainted and let Sunset run. I stayed to distract them to give Sunset some time to recover. When she passed next to me, we ran towards the rest of the group. I was the last one, and everypony was already in the other side of the passage. They shouted, telling me to run faster and when I was crossing the door, something grabbed my hoof. It was pulling me away, while I screamed. Then Rainbow grabbed my frontal hooves.

• Hold on! - she said to me.

• I'm trying. - I screamed.

I couldn't resist any more and I released Rainbow's hoof. But instantly, somepony held my hooves again, Starlight. Then the rest came and helped her.

• Twilight! Get down! - said Starlight to me.

Quickly I did it and then she threw a big beam towards the lizard, making it release me. Then they pulled me in and Sunset locked the door and we kept in the darkness.
