"BOOM!" the thunderstorm said as it continued to echo throughout the dark forest.
"What the? Where am i?" the white figure said "I thought he was supposed to bring me to a place to start a new life! Not a place to start fighting for my life! .........oh well......No point in complaining now. (even about the weather) I asked for a new life, different from my own, and i got it.
"Wait a minute. What's that?", the figure said as he stared with a face of surprise at the thing before him.
"It looks like.......Like a village! Phew! I am so glad that this isnt where my new life is supposed to be." he had said with much relief.
"So, i guess i should be trying to find a way to a path or something..."
"ROAR!"
"And quickly!" as he said that he had suddenly realized he was on all fours, and couldn't stand up.
"What the..." he had said amazed as he looked at his body.
"I...I'm... A horse? AND NAKED?" the last part he said his voice cracked. That might get embarrassing quickly if someone had been watching. Then he remembered the roar from before. He obviously wasn't alone.
"I'll save my self admiration for me later. For now i guess i......trot? (that sounded a bit wierd to say)"
The first step he took was an uneasy one, causing him to nearly faceplant in the mucky dirt, but after a few more steps he had soon gotten used to "trotting".
"I'm glad i didn't run into any monsters in that wierd forest. But i wish i wasn't so wet. Whatever, i guess that will change soon due to the fact that the rain was only in the forest." he had said with a bit of optimism as he passed by a sign that said "WELCOME TO PONYVILLE: THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE EVER SINCE CELESTIA BECAME OUR RULER" as he read this he grabbed one of the many folded up maps on the side of the sign.
This Celestia sounded like she might be these people's monarch. He had tried to think whether he should be starting a new life in a place with a monarch. She might be a harsh ruler. Then he had looked aroud for a bit and then ruled that theory out due to the fact that if she was harsh there wouldn't be so many houses, and especially ones that look like they have been taken care of. He was all too familiar with poverty stricken towns to know that this place wasn't one of them.
As he kept walking in to the town he suddenly realized a large board that was nailed to the side of one of the buildings. It had papers all over it, papers that asked for.......volunteers.
"This might be a good place to start to find a job here. All i need to do is tomorrow is go to some of these places and try it out to see if one of them is good for me. (I hope none of them require a resume. Like i ever had one.)
"Well that's tomorrow sorted out. But what about tonight? Where do i sleep?" as he kept thinking he remembered that he grabbed that map and was holding it on his back. Since he wasn't quite used to holding things in his "hoof" he sowly took it off his back with is mouth and spread it out with his hoof on the wall.
"Well i guess since i don't have any money i can't stay at a hotel, and there is NO WAY i am sleeping on the street. So i guess i'll just have to go back by forest where the sign was and sleep in the grass there. it looked soft enough to sleep on, and i think i remember a lake right next to it as well."
Once he had made it back to the sign he had heard a noise that nearly scared him to death.
"RUMBLE!"
That was something that he had forgotten to think of... Food.
"Well, since im a horse-thing i guess i can eat grass." he said as he leaned into the gras and grabbed a big clump of grass and chewed it slowly.
It actually wasn't that bad, but it wasn't the best thing he had ever tasted either. Then he shrugged as he took another bite of the grass and then continued to head towards the lake. Surprisingly, the whole day hadn't made him tired, just a bit thirsty. He then proceeded to do the same he had did with the grass. Kneel as close as he could without touching the water, wait a minute comptemplating whether to drink it or not, then finally decide to do it and take a drink.
After a few minutes of drinking he decided to look at his reflection. What he saw surprised him: a white horse with a black mane, dark blue eyes, a set of large, white wings, and a magnificent white horn that was sticking out of his head. He stared at this sight for a few more minutes, rubbed his eyes, and then accepted the fact that he was an alicorn. Then he thought to himself for a minute...
"Wait a minute... I remember, he told me something about this world. Anything with a horn has powers and not many of these alicorns exist. Maybe i can hide it with my powers."
He focused as his horn lit up for a brief moment and then died out.
"Maybe i need to focus specifically on what i want?"
He tried once more as he focused with all his might. He fell to the floor exhausted but still looked at the lake to see that the horn and wings dissapeared.
"Now, i hope that stays like that for a while. All i need to do know is wait for tomorrow" as he said that he yawned and fell into a deep sleep.
