The Promise
The Heralds are the organisation charged with protecting Equestria from inner and outer threats that elements of harmony are not fit to deal with. For centuries they have kept a secret vigil, ensuring that peace will always prevail.
However, with the Zebra on the warpath and about to conquer the Buffalo, the future looks increasingly uncertain.
Even at home, things are looking grim: the aristocracy corrupted by an insatiable greed and lust for power; rumours of a dark cult; and even an outbreak of bandits now haunt the dreams of the nation. Lucent Flare, one of the Heralds agent, must fight this outbreak of nightmares. This time, friendship may not be the answer.
Set after the events of Crystal Empire and before Twilight Sparkle transformation into alicorn.
