Foal of Yaks

Duet was going to go insane. "what in the all mighty moon of Luna am I supposed to get her?" Duet said,

as he paced around his room. he pushed a light blue lock out of his face as he sat on his bed. "come on think what doesn’t Guma have?" he said. truth be told that was a difficult question Guma's mother Pinkie pie and her godmother Fluttershy showered her in gifts and fluttershy somehow beat Pinkie pie with the number of presents given, pinkie usually gave her daughter 2-4 presents but fluttershy gave her 5-7 presents which was impressive since her job didn’t pay that much. "probably comes from her government allowance" Duet thought. he sighed. he couldn’t give her anything he had because she wouldn’t have any use for them everything he had was music related. he couldn’t ask Colour Blaze, Guma didn’t really play video games. he couldn’t ask Mirror Vanity since Mirror was a unicorn who specialised in zebra magic and Guma was a Yak-pony. what use did a Yak-pony have with zebra magic? Duet sighed again and flopped on his bed "its official I am doomed" he mumbled.

DING the oven went as Mrs cake was putting on her Hoofmits. "perfect timing" she sang

as she pulled out a large vanilla cake. she set it on the counter as she looked at the cake recipe again.

                                                                                                                      ANGEL FOOD CAKE

INGREDIENTS: 1 1/4 cups cake flour, 1 3/4 cups white sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 cups egg whites, 1 teaspoon cream of tartar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

DIRECTIONS: Beat egg whites until they form stiff peaks, and then add cream of tartar, vanilla extract, and almond extract.

Sift together flour, sugar, and salt. Repeat five times.

Gently combine the egg whites with the dry ingredients, and then pour into an ungreased 10-inch tube pan.

Place cake pan in a cold oven. Turn the oven on; set it to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Cook for about one hour, or until cake is golden brown.

Invert cake, and allow it to cool in the pan. When thoroughly cooled, remove from pan.

Mrs cake smiled, Guma loved Angel food cake, well enough to sneak some from her counter when she was 5 she was so sneaky despite her size. Mrs cake laughed there was no way anypony was going to let anypony ruin her 18th or at least Pinkie wouldn’t let them.

Mirror Vanity could barely control herself. "thank you so much for helping me Zecora" said Mirror.

"It is my honour Vanity for this is her gift from you and me" rhymed Zecora.

Mirror rolled her eyes she was sure she was one of the few to understand Zecora completely. "this has to be her best birthday yet" squeaked Mirror.

"ah yes it definitely must" Zecora rhymed once more.

"speaking of Guma what is it you wish to give her?" asked Zecora. "she loves Angel food cake and like you said this is delicious" answered Mirror. "This is your gift?" asked Zecora. "no... I have got something she has been wanting for a while and I'll be dammed if she doesn’t love it" Mirror proudly said.

"CELESTIADAMMIT" shouted Colour blaze as Night terror killed Sun Shield making her TV proudly display.

she should have known The Bit Master rated its difficulty a '9.5/10'. "b-but you can’t p-pass u-up a free 9.7/10 g-g-game" she thought she remembered when she had won it while she was in manehattan "th-those o-other competit-tors never s-stood a ch-chance" she chuckled.

she looked over to her door as it opened and one of her mother’s put her head through "Colour have you gotten Guma a present yet?" asked Spitfire.

Blaze's yellow coat went pale "uh o-of  c-course mom" smiled Blaze.

"good you can be so forgetful sometimes anyway me and dashie have to go to a meeting we'll be back soon" Spitfire said as she closed the door.

"ok m-mom b-b-bye" stuttered Blaze as soon as her mother closed the door she slammed her head against her beanie chair "how could I have forgotten" she thought she quickly got up got her purse and went out her window towards Goodwill's custom plushies at least she had somewhat of an idea of what Guma wanted.

"CARROT TOP WHAT IS THAT??????!!!!!!!!!! YOU SHOULD KNOW GUMY DOESNT LIKE CARROTS!!!!" shouted Pinkie pie.

"Sorry Pinkie I forgot I'll go make something else" said Carrot top.

"OKAY BUT HURRY AND NO ANGEL FOOD CAKE MRS CAKE IS MAKING IT" she shouted again as Carrot top went away with her carrot cake.

Twilight grabbed pinkie and slapped her "Pinkie for the love of Celestia calm down" said twilight slightly worried.

"I CAN-I-I can’t Twi its Gumy's 18 she'll be legally an adult this has to be PERFECT" said Pinkie Imedeintly went back to shouting at ponies. Twilight shook her head "we'll she is doing for Guma at least" thought twilight as she followed Pinkie to make sure she didn’t go even more crazy.

Sweetie bell sang as she wrapped the present in a pink ribbon once she was done she put it on her vanity. "thank god that’s done" she sighed as she flopped on her king-sized bed.

the amount of money she spent on that present was outrageous but she owed it to Guma for being so nice to her son. she sighed and curled up into her blankets Guma's party was tonight and there was no way she was falling asleep again mostly because Pinkie screamed in her face to wake up last time. as she snuggled into her pillows she could just feel nothing could go wrong tomorrow.
