Chapters The Adventures of Firework and Science Explosions: The Rise to Fame
(Author's notes): Hey everypony thanks for taking time to check out this story. This is my first fan fic, So leave comments here or on my profile about the story if you like it or not. Give me pointers and I'll do my best to fix things. Sorry if the intro is a little slow...
It started off as an average boring day for Firework. He went through the usual morning routine of cleaning himself up, having some breakfast and getting the instruments out for the day. And as usual Science Explosions (or Fuse as Firework liked to call him) was late for their writing/practice session. They had been friend since they were little colts and were close enough now that you could basically call them brothers. Right as Firework was about to go looking for him, Fuse burst through the door, his red and black mane a mess.
“Sorry I’m late bro, got caught up with lightning and completely lost track of time” Fuse said while still panting
“Dude, you’re always late….”
“Hey! I was on time at least twice…in the past two months”
“Just start working” said Firework with a chuckle
Fuse quickly picked up his lyric sheet and started practicing and Firework headed for the keyboard. As they were working Firework started to drift off, thinking about how all of this had started. About a year before Firework had had the idea to start band with him working the mic with raps, Fuse singing harmonies and both of them making beats together on the keyboard and mixer board, and before long they started to put out a some work. Since they were relatively new they hadn’t gained much popularity yet, but they were starting to get some traction. This put more pressure on them to put more out which wasn’t much of a problem with Firework who was always determined to be the best and would put his heart into every beat and lyric but Fuse was a little more lazy... He loved to talk about his marefriend, LightningStrike, and all the stuff they did together, so it wasn't uncommon for Firework to have to work alone even though they were in the band together. This always got on Firework's nerves but he put up with it because they were so close. Firework didn't have a special somepony because his last marefriend moved to Las Pegasus (Firework's hometown) and he hadn't met another mare yet. Fuse always pestered him about getting a another because his marefriend wanted to do some double dates. All Firework could say was "Boring...". Firework was too focused on making music to look for mares. Although it wouldn't have been that hard considering the ratio of mares to stallions in Ponyville.
“Equestria to Firework, Are you there Firework?” Fuse yelled, snapping Firework out of his stupor.
Firework and Fuse continued working for a few hours, but before long Fuse started getting bored. With both of them being pegasi, they enjoyed racing every once and a while to clear their heads and blow off some steam. Fuse suggested they race to Sugar Cube Corner and get a snack but Firework said no. He wanted to work through this and finish up for the day. Firework ignored him and continued to write but Fuse just flew off. Firework was already stressed enough and now he was pissed. He ran outside and screamed for Fuse to come back and work but Fuse just laughed and flew off to Sugar Cube Corner. Firework decided to chase after him and took off to the sky. But while he was chasing after Fuse he noticed a pony watching them from the ground and realized it was Vinyl Scratch! She had been Their idol ever since the start and to see her looking at him nearly knocked him out of the sky. Firework quickly membered he had to flap his wings and decided to quit chasing Fuse and flew down to see Vinyl.
"Hey Vinyl!" said Firework, looking all too excited to see his idol.
"Hey. You're Firework right?"
"I sure am!" Firework was trying so hard to hold back his excitement. Vinyl actually knew his name!
"I hear you started a band and are trying to become the best like me!" She threw him a wink as she lowered down her shades.
"Well we try..." He said with a sheepish grin and kicked a hoof across the ground.
"Don't worry kid you'll get there someday! After all somepony has to replace me when I retire." She said with another wink.
All of a sudden Fuse came bolting down the road and crashed right into Firework. They both got up embarrassed and tried to shrug it off. Vinyl just chuckled a little and put her shades back on. She bid them both goodbye and trotted down the road. Firework looked at Fuse with pure anger and decided it was time to set him straight.
"What the hell has gotten into you Fuse?!" he screamed as Fuse just stared at the ground.
"I'm sorry Firwork... I didn't mean to run into you. I saw you were talking to Vinyl and I got excited and thought I would run over to talk with you guys."
"*sigh* Its ok Fuse. But we have good news, Vinyl has heard of us!"
"A-Are you serious?!"
"Eeeeyupppp!" Firework said with his best Big Mac impression.
"Dude that's amazing! Maybe she'll let us do an opening song for her at a concert!"
"I was thinking the same thing. If she thinks we are good we could actually hit the big times and maybe even go on tour!"
"Well a tour so soon is a little wishful but I get the idea. I hope i didn't mess things up for us though..." Fuse said while having a look of serious regret in his eyes.
"I wouldn't worry about it Fuse. She seems really chill I doubt that even phased her."
"A-Alright Firework lets go get back to work."
So Firework and Fuse raced back home to continue working with new found vigor.

(Author's notes): Sorry about chapter one being so short. I just wanted to introduce the characters and the setting. The next chapters will be longer to make up for it. Hope you guys are enjoying it. I'm gonna try and do a chapter a day but don't be mad if I don't update some days. If you see any mistakes just let me know.
When they got home Firework and Fuse got right to work. Firework did rap vocals and wrote the songs while Fuse could sing and created the music. Firework and Fuse knew that without each other they couldn't make music, that's why they never gave up on each other even when things got hard. Firework was wrapping up yet another song and Fuse was working away at creating the music for the lyrics. Fuse lived next door to Firework and would usually just crash on Firework's couch if they ended up working late. Tonight was gonna be one of those nights. They still had to practice a lot before bed and then record. But kept their heads up and worked through the night. Fuse was starting to fall asleep during the recording session and Firework had to keep waking him up. Firework was starting to lose his voice from practicing so much and him and Fuse decided to call it a night. Fuse crashed onto the couch and Firework dragged himself upstairs to bed. As tired as he was sleep would not take hold of Firework. He was too excited with visions of the future in his head of fame and fortune and maybe even capturing Vinyl's heart as they rose to fame. He would never admit it to Fuse but Firework had a huge crush on Vinyl. She was only two years older than he was and had always looked up to her and admired her. He had posters of Vinyl from concerts in his room along with a couple of Wonderbolts posters too. He finally fell asleep staring at Vinyl's beautiful cerise eyes in one of his posters.
Firework awoke to the sound of the doorbell ringing. He groaned as he climbed out of bed to go answer the door. Fuse was still asleep on the couch when he walked by to the door. Firework opened the door and saw that Vinyl Scratch was standing there! He was surprised at first but quickly invited her inside.
"Fuse get up!" Firework yelled as him and Vinyl entered the living room where the couch was.
"*groan* Ugghhhhh... Jeeze Firework it's only 9:30..." Fuse said with a tired moan.
"I don't care what time it is. We have a guest!"
"Oh!" exclaimed Fuse as he realized who was sitting in the living room with him. "I'm so sorry Ms. Scratch. Please take my seat." Fuse moved off the couch and went to sit on the floor.
"Please call me Vinyl." Said Vinyl Scratch to Fuse who was still embarrassed and star struck all at once.
"Well Vinyl, what brings you to my house and so early at that? Not that I mind though." said Firework with a puzzled look on his face.
"I'm here for business. Somewhat. You see my opening act for the Gala canceled on me and I was wondering if you guys would mind doing an opening song for me? It shouldn't be much trouble but I came over to hear some of your guys's work too."
Firework and Fuse looked so shocked Vinyl thought she had offended them at first until Fuse blurted out...
"WE WOULD LOVE TO OPEN FOR YOU!!!"
His sheer volume blew back Firework and Vinyl and they landed on top of each other which made Firework blush. But Firework piped right up and gladly agreed with Fuse about doing an opening act.
"Thank you guys so much. I know the Princess will love your music! But first I would like to hear some." said Vinyl with an excited look.
Fuse and Firework were so scared. They didn't know what to play for Vinyl... Firework looked through all of there songs and found the one he thought would impress Vinyl the most and started to play it. It started off with a good bass thump and Vinyl started to tap her hoof to the beat. As the song continued to play Vinyl seemed to love it more and more. She would sing along with the chorus and kept tapping to the beat. When the song finished she had a big grin on her face.
"You guys are just what I'm looking for. Can you two perform that song as my opening act at the Gala this weekend?"
"O-Of course we can Vinyl!" Firework said trying not to cry tears of joy as he spoke.
"Thanks! You guys are the best. You know Fuse Octavia might want to meet you." She said with a wink.
Fuse looked like he was gonna faint. Firework had seen him stare at Octavia before he meet LightningStrike. So Firework just laughed to himself while Fuse tried to find his words.
"T-T-Thank you V-Vinyl but I already have a marefriend..." Fuse looked almost sad as he spoke.
"Well that's too bad. I'm always trying to hook her up with cool dudes. Anyways hey Firework lets meet for lunch today to discus the details about Firework Fuse performing at the Gala this weekend."
Now it was Firework's turn to look faint. He could barely find his words as he squeaked out "Sure."
Fuse had a strange look on his face when he saw Firework's reaction and the gears started to turn in his head. Fuse put a sly look on his face when he figured out that Firework must have a crush on Vinyl.
"Alright well I'll meet you for lunch at the cafe."
"See you there!" said Firework with excitement.
Vinyl said goodbye to Fuse and gave Firework a hug then trotted off down the road to her house.
Firework and Fuse just sat there for almost an hour trying to comprehend what just happened. They got up and stared at each other with a huge grin. Then Fuse screamed out "You like Vinyl!"
This made Firework stop in his tracks as he looked at Fuse with an embarrassed smile.
"Look dude I didn't wanna tell you but I guess the truth is out now..."
"Hey bro this is a good thing! You really needed to move on from the last mare you dated."
Firework just stared at the ground as he thought about his last marefriend it made him sad but the fact that he was getting close to Vinyl scratch was a dream come true for him.
"I see that look on your face Firework. You know by working with Vinyl you can get close to her and maybe ask her out!" said Fuse with a sly grin.
"So...? Yeah I do like her but there's no way she would go for a pony like me... I'm sure she already has a special somepony since she could have anypony..." Firework looked defeated as he admitted this to Fuse.
"Bro chill that hug was a little more than friendly business." Fuse said with a wink.
"Maybe your right. Come on we have a lot of practicing to do before the Gala!"
"Oh no you don't! You have a date to get ready for!" Fuse grabbed Firework and was determined to help his friend impress Vinyl today.

(Author's notes): I have decided to keep writing even though at this point nopony has read my story. No matter I'll keep writing until people boo me away. To my future readers thank you for reading this far. This being my first Fan Fiction my chapters wont ever be super long unless it all just flows into my brain but keep reading cause chapters should come out daily.
It had been almost a year since Firework had been on a "date" and even though it was to talk about business at the Gala he couldn't help but feel there was something more to it than that. It made him very nervous but as usual Fuse joked around with him as he got ready to calm his nerves. Fuse always knew what to say to Firework to get him to chill. Firework decided he would do some joking of his own and bring up what Vinyl said about him and Octavia.
"Hey Fuse, I saw the look on your face when Vinyl brought up Octavia meeting you." Firework said with a sly grin.
"Whoa bro. Hold up. I explained to her that I have a marefriend."
"Doesn't mean you didn't like the idea." Firework said with a wink.
"Ok I'll admit it sounded nice but I'm happy with LightningStrike and wouldn't leave her for anypony."
"Alright, alright. No need to freak out. But I know you used to have a crush on her before LightningStrike."
"Well yeah... So what? She is a great musician and very pretty. And now it's plain to see you have fallen for Vinyl Scratch. So shut up."
"Ok, ok. You made your point. But like you said this is good. I needed to get to know some mares since my last marefriend moved away..."
"Now don't get all sad on me. You're about to have lunch with your dream pony. So suck it up and get after it!"
Fuse sent Firework on his way and Firework headed for the cafe. It was around 11:30 now and Firework was starting to get hungry. When Firework arrived at the cafe Vinyl was already there and she waved him over to her table.
"Hey Firework!" said Vinyl as she greated him with another very friendly hug.
"Um.. Hi Vinyl! I see you already got us a table. I hope I didn't keep you waiting..."
"Nah you're fine. I just got here and ordered us some hay fries."
"Sweet! I'm starved. Fuse is at home practicing for the Gala. I guess you are the pony who finally made him get serious about something besides LightningStrike.."
"Lightning-who?" asked Vinyl.
"Oh sorry that's the marefriend he mentioned. Between me and you I know he wants to get to meet Octavia because he used to have a crush on her but is devoted to LightningStrike. I think..."
"Well I'm sorry I imposed that on him. Anyways lets get down to business. We need to get some things done before the Gala so that everything goes according to plan. So we are currently working on changing the posters of me and my opening act from the last band to Firework Fuse."
"Wait we get to be on your poster?!" Firework couldn't hold back his excitement.
"Well duh. How else would we get your name out there?" Vinyl Scratch didn't understand why this was such a big deal. After all it's just a poster.
"You're right I guess. But it's still awesome to me."
"Well I'm glad you're excited about it but I have to put a little more pressure on you guys if that's ok."
"What did you have in mind?" Firework was starting to get nervous...
"I want you guys to be featured in two of my new songs at the Gala!"
Firework went from his normal dark blue to almost cyan. He felt like he was gonna pass out and tears were starting to form in his eyes. He regained his composure and assured Vinyl that they would love to be featured with her.
"I had a feeling you would like that. But we can talk more about the Gala after we eat." She had a hungry expression on her face and quickly starting eating the hay fries.
So Firework joined her and they began their lunch. After they finished Vinyl had yet another surprise.
"So Firework since we are going to be preforming together we need to practice together some. Would you wanna come over to my place in downtown Ponyville?"
This time Firework did pass out. He fell right out of his chair and hit the ground with a thud.
Vinyl started to freak out and called for help but Firework started to come to.
"Firework are you ok?!" Vinyl looked very concerned about Firework.
"Um... Yeah I'm fine my head just hurts a little.."
"Here I'll make it better." She leaned forward and kissed Firework's forehead.
Firework started to turn as red as his mane and said he felt much better now. Vinyl could tell he was still embarrassed but she was done messing with him. For now. She decided they should head over to her house now since Octavia would be finishing up with her afternoon practice. Firework had heard of Octavia and seen her once or twice but could never get into her music. Vinyl and Octavia had been roommates for years and Vinyl said Octavia's music was just as boring then as it is now. Firework laughed and realized they had reached Vinyl and Octavia's house. It was pretty big for just two ponies but then again he had a huge house for just one pony. As they entered the house they could hear the sound of Octavia finishing up her practicing for the afternoon. They decided to go up to Vinyl's room but as they reached the stairs Octavia came around the corner and asked who Vinyl's friend was.
"Hi! I'm Firework. My band and I will be preforming at the Gala with Vinyl!" Firework felt like he was bragging but then remembered that Octavia and her group of musicians always preformed at the Gala too.
"Well it is nice to meet you Firework. I'm sure you will see me preforming at the Gala as well." She spoke with a very dignified voice and a neutral facial expression.
"That would be awesome. Well please excuse us we have to go practice."
Since they were inside Vinyl had taken off her classic shades and now Firework could see those lovely cerise eyes. He could have stared at her for hours. It had only been like 30 seconds and Vinyl was starting to think that Firework was either creepy or had a crush on her. Either way she didn't really care cause he seemed nice enough. So Vinyl escorted Firework to the her room and what Firework saw blew his mind. Everything was designed to make music. It was heaven for Firework but Vinyl called it normal. She said before she was famous she wrote music day and night she stopped only so that she could listen to it or play it in a club. This is what Firework wanted. To perform at thousands of clubs and to be on posters everywhere. Then Vinyl Scratch and Firework began to practice vocals and Vinyl would tweak the song little by little as they went along. By the end of the day Firework had completely memorized the first song and felt ready to perform. Little did he know that fate may have other plans for him and Vinyl besides just the Gala.

I have sorta rushed the story line and left out some details don't worry I'll be going into more detail from now on and will progress the plot a little slower so the story doesn't end too quickly. When Firework left for his "date" with Vinyl, Fuse assumed they would be back after an hour or two but when Firework still hadn't come home by one he decided to go see LightningStrike. Fuse had met Lightning a couple of months ago and they fell for each other. Both of them were kind of socially awkward but loved each other just the same. They had similar hobbies but different backgrounds. Fuse and Firework had grown up together and hadn't really faced any tough times, but Lightning had seen some pretty rough days. Her mother had just recently died and her father was very abusive. Fuse saw this and his heart melted for her. He made sure that nopony ever messed with her including Firework. Firework had to quickly learn that even pranks in good fun were unacceptable to Fuse if they were played on Lightning. Fuse tried to be her "Knight in shining armor" but like most teenage guys he couldn't always handle it. He would get caught staring at mares or be too busy to take her on dates. But today he was gonna try and make up for his lack of time with her. Fuse headed off down the road and arrived at Lightning's at around 1:30. He came up to the door but when he arrived he heard yelling from inside the house. Fuse came inside to see Lightning's dad, Icestorm, had been trashing the house while yelling at Lightning. Lightning looked very scared but had a sigh of relief when Fuse walked in.
"What the hell is going on in here?!" Fuse yelled looking very angry at Icestorm.
"None of your business you stupid colt." spat Icestorm with a look of fury in his eyes.
"This is my marefriend so it's my business! I'm only gonna ask this once more. What the hell is going on here?" Fuse was starting to lose his temper. He wished Firework had been there to back him up. Icestorm can get pretty violent when he was angry.
"Get out of here you little punk before I beat you and my daughter up!"
"That's it! You're dead!" Fuse took of like a rocket straight at Icestorm.
"Ugghhh..." groaned Icestorm as Fuse slammed into him at full speed. During all this Lightning didn't know what to do. She wanted her dad to leave but she didn't want to see anypony get hurt.
"Stop it! Both of you!" screamed Lightning. She was on the verge of tears but had to be strong so her father would get the point and leave. "Get out dad. Now!"
"You know what, screw you and your colt friend. You all can go to hell!" said Icestorm as he stormed out of Lightning's house.
"Are you ok Lightning?" Fuse looked very concerned about his marefriend.
"Yeah I'm fine..." Lightning couldn't meet Fuse's eyes when she spoke.
Fuse took her into his arms and held her tightly. "Everything's gonna be ok. I promise."
Lightning started to cry as Fuse held her. She couldn't deal with her dad anymore. He was just too much stress on her life.
"Hey why don't you come stay with me for a while until things cool down? Unless maybe you want to move in permanently..." Fuse was so nervous about how Lightning would react to the offer.
Lightning reared her head back so she could look into Fuse's eyes. She then wrapped both her hooves around his neck and kissed him deeply. Fuse was taken by surprise at first but quickly met her advances. They kissed for a moment then Lightning said "Yes. Yes Fuse I would love to move in with you."
"R-Really?!" Fuse looked so excited. This was a huge step in their relationship and he couldn't wait to see how all of this would unfold.
"Of course. You're the only pony who actually cares about me and loves me. There's no where I'd rather be than with you." Lightning looked so happy as she said all of this. She couldn't hold back her excitement and kissed Fuse again.
"Mmmm... T-That's exactly how I feel about you. I'm so glad you feel that way." Fuse took her by the hoof and they went upstairs to get her things.
Fuse had a million thoughts going through his head. What would Firework think? How would he deal with sleeping in the same house as his marefriend? Would they take their relationship to the next level? How was he going to be able to balance out his time with the band and Lightning? Would the band start bringing in enough money to support him and Lightning? Then he realized he had been staring off into space for at least five minuets while Lightning was talking to him.
"... And I think I should pack the lamp as well. What do you think Fuse?" Lightning had been telling Fuse all the things she wanted to move to his house but Fuse had been lost in thought for a while.
"Um.. Yeah that all sounds great baby. You can pack whatever you want." Fuse quickly recovered from being brought back to reality.
"Are you sure? I don't want to intrude..." Lightning was scared that if she was too demanding Fuse might revoke his offer to let her move in.
"Of course I'm sure. Mi casa es tu casa. (My house is your house.)" Fuse was trying out a little Spanish that Firework had taught him.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Lightning exclaimed as she gave him another kiss.
"I think I could get used to this." said Fuse with a sly grin.
"Oh shut up and help me pack."
Meanwhile Firework was having a little fun with Vinyl too. Firework and Vinyl had finished practicing for the day and decided to go catch a movie since Octavia had begun her evening practice. It was around 5:00 now and he thought he should go tell fuse the good news before the movie. So Firework and Vinyl made their way to Firework's house. When they arrived Firework expected to hear music and Fuse practicing but no sound came from the house. They went inside and Firework began calling out for Fuse.
"Yo Fuse! You in here?" Firework was wondering where he could have gone until he thought of Lightning. All of a sudden Firework looked pissed. "If I had to bet he's with Lightning..." Firework was staring to get mad.
"Eh that's ok Firework. Let him have his fun. Lets go catch that movie now." Vinyl said with a wink.
"Um.. O-Ok. Yeah lets go!" Firework was starting to blush but regained his composure and they left for the movie.
When they stepped outside they saw Fuse and Lightning walking their way. Firework looked mad all over again but when he saw that Lightning had a suitcase with her he had to find out what was going on.
"Fuse what gives?" Firework looked puzzled.
"Oh! Um.. Well.. You see Lightning got into a big fight with her dad and I was there to break it up and I could see she didn't need to deal with all that and I offered for her to move in with me." Fuse was nervous about what Firework might say but felt better when Lightning nuzzled him reassuringly.
"Oh... I'm so sorry Lightning. I'm glad to hear you two will be staying together. I'm sure you will be safer now." Firework had to bury his anger. He could tell Lightning had been crying a lot and she didn't need anymore crap from anypony.
"Well Firework mind telling me who your new marefriend is?" Lightning had a coy smile on her face and knew she was embarrassing Firework.
"Uhhh... Ummm... S-She's not my marefriend... This is Vinyl Scratch. The best Dj pony in all of Equestria!" Firework realized he had laid it on a little thick there and turned even more red.
"Yeah what he said I guess." Vinyl laughed a little at her intro from Firework but could tell he meant well even if it was a bit much.
"Wait the Vinyl Scratch?! Dj Pon-3?!" Lightning looked so shocked Fuse had to steady her so she wouldn't fall over.
"Well yeah that's me. But please call me Vinyl. I don't like ponies calling me Dj Pon-3. It's just a stage name."
"It's so nice to meet you! I've been to some of your concerts and I was going to try and get into the Gala and hear you preform this weekend." Lightning was staring to think this was the best day ever besides what happened with her dad.
"Well I'm sure you will get to go now that your colt friend is going to be preforming with me and Firework." Vinyl gave her a wink and a friendly smile as she looked at me and Fuse.
"What?! Fuse why didn't you tell me you knew Vinyl Scratch?!"
"Well we kinda just met but I was gonna surprise you with Gala tickets later..."
"Oh I'm sorry Fuse I didn't know it was a surprise..." Vinyl felt bad about spoiling it so she decided to invite Fuse and Lightning to the movie this evening. "Hey why don't you guys come to the movie with me and Firework tonight?"
"OH. MY. GOSH. A double date! Finally! I have been waiting for this for like forever!" Lightning was seriously about to faint right about then.
"Well lets not exactly call it a double date. I mean me and Firework aren't together." Vinyl looked at the ground and very quietly said "Yet..."
"Alright well that doesn't matter. Lets get a move on if we wanna catch the show!" Lightning practically bounced down the road with Fuse at her side. Firework and Vinyl sped off after them to catch up.

This chapter focuses more on the romantic part of the story. If that's not your thing the next few chapters will be more focused on the band aspect of the story. By the way this is a pretty short one. Don't worry Chapter 6 will be out later today and will be longer.
It was about 5:30 now and the movie started at 6. Vinyl and Lightning were talking about what movie to see and a little bit about music for the Gala. Since Vinyl didn't play "proper music" like Octavia did her concerts were always outside. She told Lightning there would be no seats but they would let her back stage so she could be close to Fuse. Firework could see from Fuse's expression he was worried. Firework thought Fuse might have too much on his plate and decided they needed to talk.
"Hey Fuse I can tell you have a lot bothering you. Everything ok?"
"Yeah.. I'm fine. As long as Lightning is safe and happy I'll be fine." Fuse had a determined look on his face.
"Well how's the new sleeping arrangement gonna work?" Firework was curious whether they would share a bed or not. Firework knew they hadn't gone that far yet.
"Um.. well.. W-We may end up sharing a bed unless she's not comfortable with that." Fuse had a nervous smile on his face.
"Oh! Well I guess you guys are moving things along then." Firework threw him a wink just to mess with him.
"M-Maybe... I'm not sure. This is all new to me. I've never had a marefriend live with me.." Fuse was starting to look more nervous now but when he saw how happy Lightning was he relaxed a little.
"Well if you guys ever need anything just ask. Ok?"
"Yeah ok but I want to be able to support us by myself. That's why I need for us to do well at the Gala."
"Alright I understand. But I'm always here if you guys need help." Firework knew he had more money than Fuse but he also knew Fuse would never accept his money unless it was for Lightning.
"Hey guys whatcha talkin' about?" said Vinyl as her and Lightning walked back over to Firework and Fuse.
"Um.. N-Nothing important. Just talking about the band!" Firework had a nervous smile on his face. He hoped Vinyl believed her.
"Oh ok well since we almost at the movies, you guys wanna see the new Daring Do movie?"
"Yeah! That'd be great! We figured you guys would wanna see some romantic movie..." Firework kicked a hoof to the ground and smiled. Fuse just laughed when he could see how Firework was looking at Vinyl.
"Nah. We or at least I hate those movies." Vinyl made a puking face and laughed a little.
"Yup same here." added Lightning who was now snuggling up against Fuse.
They arrived at the movies just before 6 and went inside to buy snacks before the movies. It was kinda dark inside so Vinyl took of her shades and as usual Firework zoned out staring deep into her eyes. He thought she was so beautiful. He loved everything about her from her white coat and electric blue mane to her cerise eyes. Firework had never felt so attracted to a mare before. Fuse had to hit Firework to keep him from staring.
"Dude you're gonna creep her out if she catches you staring!" Fuse was trying to get Firework to snap out of it.
"W-What? What are you talking about? I only looked at her for a second..." Firework looked really embarrassed and just kicked a hoof to the ground.
"Try more like 5 minuets bro." Fuse knew he had to help his friend but how?
"So Vinyl do you have a special somepony in your life?" Fuse had to clear the air to see if Firework had a shot.
"Well actually I don't. My last stallion wasn't that into music so I dumped him." Vinyl laughed as she spoke of her past.
"Oh well that's weird Firework's last marefriend just moved to Las Pegasus a few months ago." Fuse knew he was making things awkward but he had to in order to give Firework a chance with Vinyl.
"Oh.. I'm sorry to hear that Firework." Vinyl said those words but they were a lie. On the inside she was so excited he was single.
"Yeah it's no big deal.. Sorry to hear about your stallionfriend." Just like Vinyl those words were lies. He too was excited she was single.
"It's cool. Alright everypony ready for the movie?" Vinyl seemed to have a lot more excitement now.
"Yeah!" They all said at once and went inside the theater to find some seats.
Firework sat next to Vinyl and Fuse sat in between Vinyl and Lightning. Lightning was still being very clingy and affectionate because of today's events so Fuse didn't notice when Firework and Vinyl held hooves for just a moment. When the movie ended around 8 everypony wasn't ready to return home so Firework invited everypony to his house for some drinks. Firework and Fuse weren't huge drinkers but they knew how to have a good time. Vinyl had seen her fare share of parties and was no stranger to a drink. While Lightning had only drank like once or twice. Everypony arrived at Firework's house around 9 since they had taken their time walking and talking.
"Alright everypony welcome to my house." Firework said with a failed fancy accent. Everypony just laughed and came inside to the living room. Lightning and Fuse could see how much Vinyl and Firework were staring at each other so they sat in they two chairs which made Vinyl and Firework have to sit in the love seat together. Firework went to go get drinks for everypony and sat back down with Vinyl. After a couple of drinks everypony loosened up. Vinyl scooted a lot closer to Firework and Lightning ended up sitting in Fuse's lap. As the night went on everypony got pretty drunk except for Lightning so she walked Fuse back to their house around midnight and that left Firework and Vinyl all alone on his couch (love seat). Firework didn't know what to do. Vinyl's house was too far away for them to walk to at this hour so he decided to carry her up to his bed. He gently laid her down and put a blanket over her and went downstairs to sleep on the couch.

(Author's notes): Sorry everypony this chapter would have been out much sooner but my laptop shut off in the middle of writing it so I had to wait till later. As usual comment on what you think and enjoy.
Vinyl woke up with a pounding headache in a strange bed inside of a strange room. She half expected to see some stallion next to her but found herself alone in the bed. She got up and decided to go downstairs and realized she was still in Firework's house. She saw Firework still asleep on the couch and realized he must have carried her up to his bed. She decided to return the favor and got a blanket, covered him up and gave him a little kiss on his forehead. Vinyl looked at the time it was only 8. She was debating whether to stay till Firework woke up or go home and try and talk to Octavia about her feelings for Firework. She ended up deciding to go home. Most of Ponyville was still asleep so the walk home was quiet and peaceful. She arrived at her and Octavia's house around 8:30 and could already hear Octavia practicing. "Jeeze does that pony ever sleep?" she whispered under her breath. She went upstairs and thought about going back to bed but before she could reach her room Octavia called out to her.
"Vinyl Scratch! Where have you been all night?" Octavia looked concerned for her friend when she saw her disheveled appearance.
"Oh.. Um.. I was just out with some friends." Vinyl looked nervous and couldn't hide her bloodshot eyes from her friend without her glasses. She left them at Firework's. Oh well she thought just another reason to see him.
"Would these friends happen to be stallions?" Octavia said with a coy smile.
"Well two of them were one was a mare."
"Oh Vinyl I didn't know you were that kind of pony." said Octavia with a wink.
"No! Not like that. It was Firework, Fuse and his marefriend. We went out to see a movie then went back to Firework's for drinks."
"Ah, I see and you just decided to sleep with Firework?" Octavia knew she was pushing Vinyl's buttons. It was good to mess with her every now and then.'
"NO! I fell asleep on his couch after Fuse and Lightning left.."
"Well then what's wrong darling? Did he hurt you?!" Octavia was now very concerned.
"No! Of course not. He would never hurt me. I can tell he likes me and well... I think I like him too.." Vinyl looked embarrassed but Octavia didn't know why. Vinyl has had lots of stallions in her life. Nothing really serious but still why did this pony get her so excited?
"Well then what's wrong dear?"
"It's just we have to perform together and I don't want a relationship distracting me from my music."
"Well I'm sure it shouldn't be that bad. You like him and get to work with him. What could be better than that?"
"Maybe you're right.. I shouldn't make a big deal about this. But I do want to get closer to him. Maybe I'll have him over for dinner before the Gala."
"That's the spirit dear! Now if you will please excuse me I have to practice for the Gala and so should you."
"You're right. Sorry to bother you Oc. I'll talk to you later." With that Vinyl made her way to her room to begin to practice for the Gala with thoughts of Firework in her head.
Firework woke up with a major hangover. He had no idea how he managed to carry Vinyl up to his bed or make it back down to the couch. But he decided to go check on Vinyl to see if she had woken up. When he got up to his room he saw that Vinyl was gone but left her glasses on his nightstand. "Oh well just another reason to see her." He said with a smile. Firework went down stairs to have breakfast and saw that it was around 9:30. "I should go check on Fuse and Lightning to see how their living arrangement is going." After he finished eating he walked next door to Fuse's house. When he got to the door he didn't hear anything so he just decided to go inside. In hindsight he should have knocked but he didn't think that far. What he found inside made him run right back out. Fuse and Lightning were on the couch making out and didn't even notice that Firework had come inside and left just as quickly until he slammed the door on the way out. This freaked Lightning out and she let out a small scream. Fuse decided to go see who it was that caught them in the moment. He saw Firework sitting on his porch looking as red as his mane.
"Hey dude... I guess you can see how well we are getting along." Fuse said with a wink.
"Um.. Y-Yeah. Sorry I walked in on you guys." Firework was very embarrassed and didn't really know what to say.
"It's cool bro. You just freaked out Lightning. That's all." Fuse was curious how Firework's night with Vinyl went. "So how did things go with you and Vinyl last night?" Fuse asked with a coy smile.
"Fine I guess she was pretty drunk and passed out around after Lightning took you home. So I carried her up to my bed and slept on the couch. She was already gone when I woke up."
"Oh well that sounds boring..." Fuse had already lost interest when he realized nothing steamy happened.
"I guess. Well anyways if you think you're ready we need to practice for the Gala. We only have 5 days until we preform." Firework was already getting excited just thinking about it.
"Yeah I'm ready let me just go say bye to Lightning and I'll come over." Fuse walked inside and Firework went back to his own house.
Vinyl knew she needed to practice but most of her songs didn't have lyrics and she had already created the music. So she decided to go see Firework. She used the excuse of going to get her shades but deep down she knew it was really just to see Firework. Her headache was starting to fade but she hated walking outside in the sun without her shades. She quickly made her way to Firework's house and could hear music from inside the house. She figured since he was practicing they could work on their duet songs. She now loved the idea that they would be preforming together and hopped they would do it more often. She went inside and found Firework and Fuse working on more music for the Gala.
"Hey guys! Still tryin' to become as good as me?" She laughed and gave Firework a wink.
"I think we are almost as good as you now Vinyl." Said Firework returning the wink.
"Hey how about I go practice at my house. I'll give you two space to work on your duets." Fuse said with a coy smile. He then got up and left Firework and Vinyl alone yet again.

(Author's notes): Hey guys it's late but I couldn't sleep and decided to write some more. It's gonna be short but something big happens here. If you like it or hate it as always comment and enjoy.
Vinyl and Firework just stared awkwardly at each other for a moment before Vinyl decided to come sit next to Firework. Firework could feel his heartbeat quicken as she neared but tried to remain calm. Vinyl sat down and scooted up next to him. Firework could feel the warmth from her snow white mane as she practically snuggled up next to him.
"Hey I wanted to say thank you for not taking advantage of me last night since I was drunk. And thanks for carrying me up to your bed. I came here for two reasons. One to get my shades back." She laughed as she thought how petty that sounded.
"And the other reason...?" Firework asked nervously.
"Well.. It was to see you." Vinyl didn't have her shades so she had to meet his gaze when Firework looked into her eyes. She loved how warm and comforting his teal eyes were and could stare at them forever.
"Oh.. Well I'm glad you came by, there's something I wanted to ask you." Firework's heart was beating out of his chest. He was so nervous.
"Yeah..?" Vinyl moved closer to Firework. Their faces were only inches away from touching.
"Um.. Vinyl, would you want to go out sometime? Like a date not just for business."
"Are you asking me to be your special somepony?" Vinyl was so close to crying she was so happy.
"Well um.. Y-Yes I am." Firework was losing his words in fear that he had upset her by being so forward.
Vinyl didn't reply with words she instead decided to kiss Firework deeply while he wrapped his hooves around her body. Firework was taken back at first but quickly met her advances with another forceful kiss to seal the deal. They stopped for a moment and just stared into each other's eyes.
"So is that a yes?" Firework laughed.
"Of course it is dummy." Vinyl said with a wink.
"Jeeze that took long enough!" Said Fuse as he burst through the door.
"Fuse?! What the hell were you doing?!" Firework was starting to look mad until Vinyl grabbed his hoof to calm him down.
"Oh come on Firework. You think I couldn't see this happening? It was so obvious." Fuse was trying to hide his huge grin on his face.
"Uggghhh. Whatever. Just get out. Don't you have a marefriend at home to go to?" Firework started to slightly turn red.
"Eeeyupppp." Said Fuse with his Big Mac impression. "Alright well you two love birds have fun and do try to actually practice."
"Good bye Fuse." Firework said annoyingly.
"Later you two." He said as he left with a wink.
"Wow this all seems to be happening so fast.." Vinyl seemed concerned now.
"Yeah you're right but you know what? I'm glad it is because I don't know if I would have been able to ask you if I had waited any longer."
"Well I'm glad you asked." Vinyl said with a smile.
"Alright well we should try and get some work done." Firework said taking Vinyl by the hoof.
"You're right. Let's get to work."
As Fuse walked back over to his house to find Lightning waiting for him in the living room. He came and decided to sit close to her in order to warm off from outside.
"Hey baby. How was your day?" Fuse seemed extra excited than normal.
"I had a great day. I looked at some furniture for the guest room and just cleaned up around the house a little."
"That sounds like fun but you will never guess what just happened to me." Fuse was looking more excited.
"Well are you gonna tell me?" Lightning was getting impatient with Fuse.
"Vinyl and Firework are together now!!!"
"OHMYGOD that's awesome!" Fuse was happy for his bro while and Lightning just found her new double dating buddies.
"Yeah it really is. I'm so happy for him. I know how much he likes Vinyl."
"And I know how much Vinyl likes him." Lightning smirked when she saw Fuse's reaction.
"Well at least everything turned out ok for everypony."
"Yeah you have a point there. Well I gotta go practice for the Gala." Fuse got up to go upstairs and kissed Lightning's head as he left.

(Author's notes): Alright guys here's the long chapter I promised. Sorry the last few have been so short. As a side note tell me what you think about Vinyl and Firework. It was really late and in my tired state I decided to get them together. Don't worry it won't be all hugs and kisses from here. There will be some problems in the future. Enjoy.
Fuse work upstairs for hours. He was mixing beats, recording beats and editing finished songs. He never once left his room and Lightning was starting to get concerned. While on the other hoof Vinyl and Firework would work a little then talk or joke around. Vinyl was amazing at creating beats. She got on Firework's mixing table and it was like magic. She knew how to create the sickest bass drops along with an amazing beat for Firework and Fuse to rap to. But no matter how hard she worked or how focused she got she would always get lost in thought staring at Firework. Firework had the same problem and they would just laugh at each other when they would catch it.
"Hey Vinyl?" Firework started to get a serious look on his face.
"Yeah Firework, what's up?"
"Well I was just thinking. The only reason we are preforming together is because your first band canceled. And I don't think you want to take us on tour with you every time you need a opening band, so how are we gonna have time for each other?"
"Hey I'm always on tour. It's just a couple times a year and plus I could help you and Fuse get the band off the ground."
"Well that would be great but I'd give up the band just to be with you. That's actually what I was considering. That way I could just follow you on tour so we could always be together." Firework had a nervous smile on his face.
Oh no. This is what I was afraid of thought Vinyl. If he is always with me I know I will be distracted from my music and that could ruin my career. Is he worth that?
"No. I-I can't have you give up your dream just for me Firework. Don't worry I'm not gone that often just ask Octavia. She's a nervous wreck every time I leave for tour. Good thing I'm not always gone or she would go insane." Vinyl laughed at the thought of Octavia loosing her mind.
"A-Alright.. I just wanna make sure we can see each other." Firework still looked unsure.
"Don't worry about it babe." Vinyl instantly wished she hadn't called him babe. She was scared how he would react.
"Babe?" Firework asked with a huge grin and gave Vinyl a wink.
"Ugghh.. Just get back to work." Vinyl had to resist the urge to smile.
"Hmm I wonder what Vinyl is now? She should be practicing but I don't hear any of that "music" coming from her room. I wonder where she went. I bet she's off with that stallion. What's his name? Firepit, Firenote, Fire... Firework! That's it. I'll look up where his house is and go pay him a visit. He needs to know how important Vinyl is to me and that he better not break her heart." With that Octavia put down her cello and made her way to Firework's house.
Fuse came outside right as Octavia was coming down the road and instantly wished he hadn't. He would have ran back inside but Octavia called out to him.
"Excuse me sir? Yes you. Can you tell me where I may find the stallion known as Firework?" Octavia wondered why this stallion looked so nervous as she approached.
"Um.. H-He l-lives next door..." Fuse mumbled.
"Well thank you sir. Have a nice day." Octavia made her way to Firework's front door and knocked. Knocked and knocked again but there was no answer. "Hmm well maybe I'll just have a peak inside." The door was unlocked and Octavia went inside to see if she could find Firework. She looked downstairs but nopony was down there so she made her way upstairs. She looked around and found the one room with a shut door. "This must be Firework's room." She opened the door and let out a shriek at what she saw on the bed.
Vinyl and Firework had finished working for the day and starting talking and joking around. They talked for an hour or two then Firework said he was gonna try and take a nap. Well Vinyl wasn't done with him yet. She pretended to leave but just waited on the stairs until she knew he was in his room. She then sneaked back upstairs to his room and quietly opened the door. Firework was lying there on his back hooves sprawled out. Vinyl thought he looked so cute when he was sleepy. But she was about to wake him up. She ran over to his bed and jumped on top of him. Firework woke up with a fright and before he could say anything Vinyl started to kiss him.
"Mmmm... Vin... Wha... Doin..." Firework tried to talk between kisses.
"Oh shut up and kiss me Firework." Vinyl said. Firework didn't have to be told twice and followed his orders.
This went on for about 10 minuets until Vinyl and Firework heard a shriek from inside his room. Vinyl freaked out and jumped off of Firework and landed beside the bed. Firework was still in a daze and looked up to see who had entered his room. It was Octavia.
Crap they thought I'm screwed.
"VINYL SCRATCH!" What in Equestria were you doing on top of that stallion?!" Octavia had a look of rage on her face.
"Well what did it look like Oc?" Vinyl said smugly.
"It looks like you went from nervous about getting close to him to very close to him!"
"Well um.. he asked me to be his special somepony and of course I said yes." Vinyl and Firework were turning red.
"Then you just decided to make out with him?!" Octavia was very angry now.
"Nice goin' bro. You guys are already makin' out." Fuse said with a laugh as he ran in and brohoofed his friend. Lightning was right behind Fuse and she slapped him upside the head.
"Shut up Fuse. Octavia has a point. Things are moving pretty fast between Firework and Vinyl." Lightning said giving Octavia a look to continue.
"Look Vinyl I understand you like this stallion." Octavia started but was interrupted.
"His name is Firework." Vinyl said coldly.
"Ok. I understand you like Firework but this isn't like you to move so fast in a relationship.
"Why is everypony making a big deal about this we were just making out?" Vinyl was starting to get mad.
"Calm down Vinyl let's go get some air." Firework said as he glared at the other ponies crowded in his bedroom.
"Yeah let's get outta here." Said Vinyl.
"Hey I'm sorry Octavia is like that. She's always over protective of me ever since I had some problems with this one stallion. She means well but can get on my nerves sometimes." Vinyl still looked somewhat mad but was trying to calm down.
"Problems? What stallion?" Firework looked concerned for Vinyl.
"I-It's nothing.." Vinyl said looking at the ground.
"Look Vinyl. You know you can tell me anything right?" Firework was trying to look into her eyes but she wouldn't meet his gaze.
"I-I know I just don't wanna talk about it. Ok?" Vinyl was staring to look sad as she spoke.
"Alright I understand. If you need to tell me anything don't be afraid to talk to me."
"Thanks Firework." She gave him a tight hug just to feel safe again. Firework kissed her forehead and they went to the cafe to get something to drink.
Fuse, Lightning and Octavia were left in shock inside of Firework's room as Firework and Vinyl left. They all just stood there for almost half an hour in silence until Octavia spoke up.
"Well I believe introductions are in order. I'm Octavia. I live with Vinyl. And you two are?"
"I'm Fuse. Firework's neighbor and best friend. Firework and I are the band that's opening for Vinyl this weekend at the Gala."
"And I'm Lightning. I'm Fuse's marefriend and friend of Firework."
"I apologize for my angered behavior earlier. I am very worried about Vinyl. She normally has good judgement and doesn't rush into relationships. But I've always protected her ever since her problems with one stallion."
"What happened?" Lightning looked concerned but was curious.
"That is not my story to tell dear. I have sworn my self to secrecy." Octavia looked very serious.
"Oh ok. Well maybe Vinyl will tell us." Fuse said. Again Lightning slapped him upside the head.
"Don't go ask her. It's serious. If she wanted everypony to know she would have told you." Lightning said with a stern face.
"Ow, ok jeeze I won't go ask." Firework said as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I apologize but I must be going. I have a lot to prepare for before the Gala." Octavia said as she left.
"Come on Fuse let's go home." Lightning said grabbing Fuse's hoof.

(Author's notes): Hey everypony this chapter was gonna be out sooner but ibrony.com was down for a few hours. Anyways seriously somepony tell me what you think. I feel like I've veered to far from the band aspect of the story. Well as always comment and enjoy.
Firework and Vinyl were having drinks at the cafe when they saw Octavia walking past on her way home. Vinyl tried to not be seen by Octavia but when you are a snow white unicorn with an electric blue mane ponies always notice you. So Octavia walked over to their table and sat down to have the serious talk she wanted to have earlier.
"Hello Vinyl, Firework." She nodded to the unicorn and just stared at the blue Pegasus.
"What do you want Octavia?" Vinyl said coldly.
"I'm here to apologize for my behavior earlier. I was out of line and disturbed a private moment." Octavia tried to look sincere behind her stern manner.
"It's fine. You don't need to worry about me all the time, ok Oc?" Vinyl was trying to be nice but she was still upset. "And if it makes you feel any better Firework didn't know. I just ran in and jumped on top of him." She had a hard time saying that without turning red.
"O-Octavia I promise I would never try and hurt Vinyl. She means the world to me. In fact I was willing to quit my band just to have time for her." Firework was very sincere but looked sad all the same.
"Well that's very nice of you but I still had to come talk to you all the same. I love Vinyl. She's my best and only friend in the world and I've already seen her hurt by a stallion with nice intentions." Octavia looked at Vinyl with pleading eyes.
"Look Octavia. He's the nicest stallion I've ever met. You should see his room, he has posters of all my concerts and albums. It feels like a shrine to me!" She giggled and held Firework's hoof from under the table.
"Well I'm glad you two are happy. Firework please allow me to make you two dinner as a peace offering so to speak."
"Well I don't want to impo-." Firework was cut off by Vinyl.
"That would be awesome Octavia. 8 sound good?" Vinyl asked.
"That will be fine don't you two be late." Octavia had a fake serious expression on her face.
Vinyl and Firework had to find something to do until 8. It was only 3. So Firework said they should go get Fuse and do a run through of the Gala. The three of them had yet to practice together. So Firework paid for the drinks and they left for Fuse's house. It took them an hour to walk to Fuse's. It's hard to walk fast with only three hooves. Vinyl kept holding Firework's hoof so Firework just put his wing around Vinyl and kept her close as they walked. When they got to Fuse's house Firework knocked on the door right as Fuse was opening the door.
"Oh hey guys! Sorry about earlier... I was on my way to see if Firework wanted to practice." Fuse said after closing the door.
"Well that's why we're here. We want to do a run through of the show. We haven't all practiced together yet." Firework stated.
"Alright well let's get to it!" Fuse said.
The three of them went up to Firework's room and Vinyl got on the mixing table while Firework and Fuse took their places at where the stage would be. Vinyl would be almost directly behind them with her speakers pointing outward towards Firework, Fuse and where the crowd would be. When Vinyl started the first track she noticed how Firework and Fuse tensed up but both tapped a hoof to the beat in sync. When they started to rap they were in total control. They captured Vinyl's full attention. They commanded the mic and rap back and forth like they had done this a million times. Vinyl was very impressed. Then she was worried. The biggest names in all of Equestria were at the Gala if Firework and Fuse became famous she might lose him and that was the last thing she wanted. Half way through the third song the unicorn ran out of the room with tears in her eyes. Firework ran after her and Fuse just sat there with a puzzled look on his face. Vinyl ran into Firework's bedroom and fell onto his bed crying into his pillow. Firework came in after her and curled up beside her.
"Vinyl, baby what's wrong? Are we really that bad?" He said with a laugh.
"No it's the opposite. You guys are amazing. I'm afraid you guys will get noticed at the Gala, become famous and then I would lose you..." Vinyl said between sobs.
"Vinyl. I-I would never leave you." Firework said as he scooped Vinyl into his arms.
"You mean it?" Vinyl asked with sad, wet eyes.
"Of course I do." Firework said. He leaned down and kissed her forehead.
"Firework?"
"Yes Vinyl?"
"I-I love you."
"I love you too Vinyl." Firework kissed her deeply and held her close to assure her that he wasn't going anywhere.
After about 10 minuets Vinyl and Firework returned to Fuse who was patiently waiting on the floor. Vinyl returned to the mixing board without a word and began the next song with her magic. Fuse looked at her and then at Firework with a very confused expression. Firework gave him a look that said "Don't worry about it." so Fuse just went back to rapping. After hours of practice Vinyl realized it was 7:30 and they needed to start heading to her house for dinner. So Firework and Vinyl said their goodbyes and headed off to Vinyl's house. They arrived just around 8 and came inside to the smells of cooking.

Firework and Vinyl entered the dinning room where Octavia had set out a full spread. There was everything from just plain apples to sauteed veggies. Firework was trying to act a little more reserved than normal because this was his first official date with Vinyl but since this was Vinyl's home she seemed very relaxed and ran to the table to dig in. Firework stifled a laugh as Vinyl began to eat an assortment of everything on the table.
"Vinyl! Where are your manners?" Octavia yelled as she watched in horror as the white unicorn devoured her food.
"Um.. Sorry? Come on Firework sit down and chow down. Oc always makes good food." Vinyl said with a mouth full of food.
"Ok Vinyl." Firework laughed as he took a seat across from Vinyl.
"Firework I do hope you enjoy your meal. I didn't know what you liked so I just made a little of everything." Octavia said blushing.
"Well it all looks amazing Octavia. Thank you very much." Firework said while helping himself to some of the sauteed veggies.
"It was no trouble darling. It's the least I could do considering my behavior earlier." Octavia looked slightly ashamed.
"It's no big deal really Octavia. Vinyl and I talked about how fast we are moving and realized you're right." Firework said while looking at Vinyl who was still eating but nodded.
"Well I'm glad you two are happy but don't go too fast. Vinyl and I had that prob-" Octavia was cut off by Vinyl who gave her the death stare.
"I didn't tell him about that yet!" Vinyl screamed.
"Oh Vinyl I'm so sorry I thought he knew." Octavia said with an extremely red face.
"Told me what? What's going on Vinyl?" Firework looked confused but concerned.
"Ugh.. Well I guess you should know now instead of later. Please don't hate me for this. Ok well back in collage Octavia and I got to know each other pretty well. Then one day I became her roommate. We had already been spending a lot of time together and we also had psych together. When we became roommates well there was a lot of chemistry between us so well... um.. we dated for a while."
"Oh! Wow.. Um.. I-I had no idea.." Firework was at a loss for words. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His marefriend had dated her own best friend.
"Oh Celestia.. You think I'm a freak now don't you?" Vinyl was on the verge of tears.
"No! No. V-Vinyl I'm just surprised that's all. It would explain why you two care about each other so much. It doesn't change how I feel about you. I still love you Vinyl." Firework was trying to look as sincere as he felt.
"I'll leave you two alone now..." Octavia said stepping out of the dining room.
"Oh thank Celestia! I love you too Firework." Vinyl said coming around the table to embrace Firework.
"Well any more secrets you need to tell me?" Firework laughed but inside he was still wondering about the stallion from her past.
"Maybe.. Just not now. Well I'm gonna get some sleep, It's been a long day. You're welcome to stay with me if you want." Vinyl said with a wink.
"Sounds good to me!" Firework said as the two raced upstairs to Vinyl's bedroom.
"Ugh.. They just said they were going to take things slow and now Vinyl has invited him to bed..." Octavia said to herself with a groan.
Fuse went home after Vinyl and Firework left for dinner at her house. He was really concerned for Vinyl and Firework. He was still wondering why she ran out of the room crying. Did he do something wrong? Did Firework? "Gosh mares are confusing..." He said to himself. "I need to talk to Lightning. Maybe she know what's up with Vinyl."
"Hey Lightning! Whatcha up to?" Fuse asked.
"Oh nothin' just layin' here talkin' to the stallion I love." Lightning said with a coy smile.
"He sounds pretty cool." Fuse said with a laugh. "Anyways can I ask you something?"
"No." She said laughing. "Duh! Of course you can. What's up?"
"Do you know if Vinyl and Firework are having problems?" Fuse looked concerned.
"Well how would I know? They have only been dating for like a day or two. How could they have problems already?" Lightning seemed very puzzled.
"Well today while we all were practicing during a song she just ran out of the room crying. Then Firework ran after her and they came back ten minuets later and neither of them said anything about it." Fuse knew he should just ask Firework but he was with Vinyl.
"Well that seems pretty weird. I'll talk to Vinyl and see if she says anything about it." Lightning now looked even more puzzled than before.
"Thanks baby. I was gonna ask Firework but him and Vinyl left for dinner at her house." Fuse was worried about his friend.
"Well I'm sure they will have a good time. Why don't you just wait for Firework to come home?" Lightning said.
"That's a great idea. Well I'm sure I have a lot of waitin' to do." Fuse said with a laugh.
"Yeah I'm sure you do too. Well I'm gonna head upstairs and get a shower."
"Alright I'll be up as soon as I talk to Firework." Fuse said with a small smile.
"Ok. Don't stay up too late."
"I won't baby. I promise." Firework said as Lightning walked upstairs.
But Fuse never got to talk to Firework. Firework had been in bed with Vinyl since around 9. The two fell asleep in each other's arms. Fuse waited by the window until around 12 and knew Firework must be staying at Vinyl's. "I guess things aren't as bad as I thought. He gets to sleep with her tonight. Well brohoof to you Firework." Fuse said lifting his hoof in the air. "Time to go to bed." Fuse said walking up the stairs. When he got to the room he saw that Lightning was already asleep so he climbed into bed next to her, gave her a kiss and drifted off to sleep.

One because of how often ibrony.com is down and due to the fact that I wrote this chapter earlier and lost the whole thing, I will be posting on FimFic.net first. Second Vinyl and Firework didn't actually have sex they just slept in the same bed together. As always comment and enjoy.
Firework awoke to the sound of Vinyl softly snoring and couldn't help but smile. He couldn't get out of bed because she had her hooves tightly around him. She was so cute when she was sleeping. Firework started to think how his whole life had changed in less than a week. He now had the girl and the start to a promising career. But something in the back of his mind kept nagging at him. He felt like something bad was gonna happen. Soon.
"Ugh.. Huh? Oh hey Firework." Vinyl said with a sleepy smile.
"Morning sleepyhead." Firework laughed and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Her hooves were still wrapped around him.
"I slept great. You kept me nice and warm all night." Vinyl said.
"Happy to help!" Firework winked "I can't believe the Gala is only three days away!
"Yeah me either. Oh I almost forgot to tell you, we have to travel to Canterlot Friday night to be ready to set up early Saturday." Vinyl said half excited.
"Oh cool! Well I'll have to tell Fuse." Firework replied with a smile.
"Vinyl! Firework! Breakfast is ready!" Octavia chimed.
"Ok! We'll be there soon!" Firework replied.
"I don't wanna get outta bed." Vinyl said with a pouting frown. "I wanna stay here with you."
"Well come on let's go get some breakfast then we can do whatever you want today." Firework said carrying Vinyl off the bed.
"Looks like I don't have a choice." Vinyl laughed as Firework flew down the steps with her in his arms.
"Finally you two are awake. I thought you two would never get up. I guess it's a good thing the walls are thick." Octavia laughed.
"We didn't do that!" Vinyl replied.
"I'm teasing darling. Trust me I know. These walls are thin."
"Well Octavia what's for breakfast?" Firework asked changing the subject.
"Just pancakes I'm afraid. I don't have much time before my morning practice." Octavia replied.
"Well it looks great. Thank you Octavia." Firework replied sincerely.
"No trouble at all darling. You are welcome here anytime." Octavia forced a smile.
"Let's eat!" Vinyl called grabbing a plateful of pancakes.
"Hey Vinyl are you ever gonna tell me the story behind that stallion from your past?" Firework asked.
Octavia left the room and Vinyl replied "I'll tell you about him sooner or later..." Vinyl's mood instantly was dampened at the mention of that horrible stallion.
After breakfast Vinyl and Firework decided to go back upstairs and cuddle for the rest of the day. Vinyl didn't want to work she just wanted to be with Firework. Meanwhile Fuse was up early preparing for the Gala which was only three days away. The next few days went by about the same. Fuse worked tirelessly on perfecting his music while Vinyl and Firework slacked off. Finally Friday night arrived and Fuse, Firework and Vinyl met at the train station with their equipment ready to board the 7 pm train to Canterlot. When they arrived Firework and Vinyl took off straight to the castle. Princess Celestia allowed the performers of the Gala to stay inside the castle. This meant everypony from The Wonderbolts to Firework. But this left Fuse alone with all the DJ equipment to carry to the Canterlot Gardens. Fuse was struggling to try and carry it when a Royal Guard asked him if he needed help. Fuse told him it would be appreciated so the Guard simply cast a spell and transported all of the equipment to the Gardens. Fuse thanked him and ran off to the castle to get some sleep. Firework and Vinyl were met by Princess Celestia who showed them to their room in the west wing. Firework and Vinyl bowed and thanked the Princess repeatedly. Celestia simply replied "You're quite welcome now get some rest my little ponies." She smiled and returned to the front of the castle to welcome more ponies. Firework was shocked when he entered the room. The bed was huge and had to have been at least three times the size of his or Vinyl's, the furniture was very expensive and tasteful and there was a great view of Canterlot outside the window.
Firework was flying over to the bed when suddenly Vinyl stopped him with her magic. "Ladies first." She said with a wink. She laid down and elevated Firework over the bed and dropped him on top of her.
"Well if you wanted me to be on top all you had to was ask." Firework said returning the wink.
"Oh shut up I didn't mean to." Vinyl said trying to look annoyed but actually she liked him being so close to her like that.
"You know you like it." He said giving her a kiss.
"So..." Vinyl replied wrapping her hooves around him.
Fuse on the other hoof was alone. Lightning wasn't able to stay in the castle since she wasn't a performer. Lightning promised she would take the first train to Canterlot in the morning. Fuse hadn't slept without her in over a week. He now wished more than ever that she was there by his side. "Well no use whining about it. I better get some sleep. I have a huge day tomorrow." Fuse said drifting off to sleep. When morning came Fuse woke up and said "Thank Celestia. The Gala has finally arrived!" Fuse got up and saw that the Castle had delivered breakfast. "Well I might as well eat. There's no point in going to perform on an empty stomach."
"Wakie wakie sleepyhead!" Vinyl cooed.
"*yawn* Good morning to you too Vinyl." Firework said smiling.
"Hiya! Now come on lets get some breakfast!" She said bounding with energy. Firework had never seen her so full of energy. She reminded him of that perky pink pony that works at Sugar Cube Corner. He laughed as he thought of her.
"Alright. Wow! They really go all out here! Breakfast looks great!" Firework exclaimed.
"Tastes better than it looks!" Vinyl said with a mouthful of food.
Ponies started coming to the castle early and continued to arrive throughout the day. Firework, Vinyl and Fuse were in the Gardens setting up for the concert. As the clock neared 8:30 Firework heard six ponies singing about what they were going to do at the Gala this evening. He laughed as he realized he wasn't the only new pony there. The concert was set to begin at 9 and Firework was starting to get nervous jitters but shook them off when Vinyl asked if he was ok. As the announcer pony introduced Vinyl AKA Dj-Pon3 and Firework Fuse. Vinyl saw the one thing that could ruin tonight. The stallion that ruined her past. Boulder.

(Author's notes): Hey guys almost at 200 views :D. I'm really thankful to everyone who's following the story. This chapter starts the Boulder/Lightning Arc. I won't explain just read and find out. Dark chapters ahead. As always comment and enjoy.
Vinyl couldn't move. She couldn't breath. She couldn't blink. There he was after all this time. Boulder. That stallion who messed up her life and almost ended her career. She couldn't believe he was there, why did he come to the Gala? To see her again? To mess up her career even more? Firework noticed how Vinyl froze as they were called on stage. He didn't know what to do but he had to think of something quick and get Vinyl in the booth. Fuse was looking for Lightning in the crowd but still couldn't find her. "Where is Lightning? She wouldn't miss this for the world. Something must have come up." Fuse said. Firework told Fuse to take the stage and stall the crowd with his flying skills as he ran back to Vinyl.
"Vinyl what's wrong? Why aren't you going to the booth?" Firework was freaking out. He didn't think Vinyl of all ponies would have stage fright.
"I-It's him..." Vinyl mumbled.
"Who? What are you talking about?" Firework was seriously starting to worry.
"B-Bolder..." Vinyl said at a barely audible tone.
"Bolder who? Who is he?" Firework was sweating bullets. He didn't know how long Fuse could stall the crowd. They were there to see Vinyl not firework Fuse.
"H-He's the s-stallion from my p-past..." At this point Vinyl was shaking and on the verge of tears.
"Oh Celestia. Vinyl don't worry we'll call of the concert. And then I'm gonna have a talk with this Boulder guy." Firework was deadly serious now. Whatever Boulder did to Vinyl he was going to pay dearly for it.
"N-no I'll deal with it. Let's just get this over with." Vinyl looked terrified but determined.
"Are you sure? We can explain what happened to Princess Celestia. I know she would understand." Firework was doing his best to comfort his marefriend.
"Yes. I'll be fine." Vinyl snapped as she put on her famous shades and took the stage behind the booth.
"Oh boy... Here we go." Firework said flying out to the stage with Fuse.
When the three ponies took to the stage the crowd roared. Mostly for Vinyl but at the same time some ponies were excited to see this new upcoming band. Firework and Fuse were there to open for Vinyl so they started with their favorite song: Firework Fuse. The song was a hit. The crowd loved it and Vinyl had done a slight remix to the music to make it even better. Vinyl may have been upset but she loved Firework and wanted to help him however she could. After that it was Vinyl's time to shine. At this point Boulder had stepped through the crowd to get to the front. Vinyl's facade was starting to crumble. His sheer presence brought horrible memories flooding back. By the third song Vinyl couldn't handle it anymore and ran off stage crying. Firework told Fuse to end the concert and explain to everypony that Vinyl was sick and to keep Boulder in the Gardens. Fuse did as he was told as Firework ran off after Vinyl.
"Vinyl! Vinyl wait!" Firework called as he flew after her.
"I-I just want to be alone!" Vinyl cried.
"Tell me what's going on! Who is that guy? What did he do to you?" Firework had landed in front of Vinyl and stopped her.
"H-He did terrible things to me! Ok?! I just want to be alone!" Vinyl said collapsing into Firework's arms.
"Dear Celestia what in Equestria did he do to you?" Firework said to Vinyl's sleeping body as he flew her to their room.
Firework laid Vinyl down on the bed and started to leave to the Gardens to have a "word" with Boulder when Vinyl called out for him to wait. Firework flew over to the bed and sat next to Vinyl. She crawled into his lap and wrapped her hooves around him.
"Vinyl I swear whatever he did to you he'll pay dearly for it. What in Celestia's name did he do to you?" Firework's eyes were filled with rage.
"W-Well let me explain our past first." Vinyl sniffled trying to hold back the tears. "It all started back after I had broken up with Octavia. Me and Octavia were still best friends but there was a hole inside of me. I tried drinking more and dating lots of stallions. Then I met Boulder. Boulder was a great catch or at least I thought so at first. He was handsome, had a little bit of money and knew how to party. He was my kind of guy. We dated for months and he was always wanting to take our relationship to the next level. I had never been with a stallion before and I wasn't sure about it. I told him no. He didn't take that answer very well. One night we went out drinking at the clubs. I had just started getting my music played in the clubs so we decided to celebrate. We drank more than usual and Boulder tried asking me again if we could have sex. Even in my drunken state I told him no. Boulder got pissed and grabbed me and took me out to the alley behind the club. Nopony was out there or noticed him taking me out there. When we got in the alley Boulder slapped me across the face with his hoof. I was shocked and too drunk to react. He began to hit me over and over until I was crying in the back of the alley bruised and broken... What he did next I'll never forget no matter how many drinks I take. H-He... raped me..." Vinyl couldn't hold back the tears anymore. She cried and cried as Firework held her. Firework didn't know what to say. His mind was full of rage and sadness. He was ready to kill Boulder for what he did. "Vinyl why didn't you tell the police?" Firework almost started crying with Vinyl. "I tried but nopony believed me. Boulder had a good reputation and there was no evidence. Even the bruises and broken bones were covered up by Boulder staging a bar fight with me and another mare." Vinyl continued to cry. "So he got away with it?! That's it I'm going to have a few "words" with Boulder." Firework tried to get up but Vinyl wouldn't let him. "Please just stay here with me!" She begged. "Alright. Let me just call off Fuse." Firework said going to the window.
Fuse had been staring up at the window waiting for the call to let him go or take him down. Firework gave the order to take him down and Fuse took Boulder to the far side and the Gardens and began to do what Firework wished he was there to do. By the time Fuse was done Boulder couldn't move. He was broken and bruised just like how he left Vinyl in that alley. Fuse didn't know what this pony had done but he knew he deserved it. He really needed to see Lightning now. He was worried about her.

After the beating Fuse gave Boulder, Boulder laid in the grass of the Gardens for hours until a patrolling Royal Guard found him unconscious. The Guard rushed Boulder to the healing room inside the castle and the doctors began to fix him up. Fuse had returned to his room to get some sleep but sleep wouldn't come. Fuse had to know why Firework had told him to beat up Boulder. Fuse knew there had to be a reason but he needed to know. "Well I'll have to ask Firework in the morning. Then I can go back home to Lightning." He said with a smile. Then he drifted off to sleep.
The next morning Firework awoke with Vinyl clinging tightly to his body. So yet again he knew there was no escape until she decided to wake up. Firework kissed her forehead and tried to go back to sleep. Then he herd a knock on the door. Vinyl rolled over at the noise so Firework went to answer the door. He was expecting to see Fuse there but when he opened the door it was much worse. There he was. Boulder. Standing right in front of Firework. Firework's mind went blank. All he could think about was beating the life out of Boulder. But not here, not in front of Vinyl. She didn't need to see him again.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Firework said coldly. His words were like ice but his eyes were filled with fire.
"I'm here to see Vinyl." Boulder said with a smirk.
"I suggest you leave now while you still can." Firework had never been a violent pony but he was ready to kill Boulder.
"Nah I'll pass. Where's Vinyl?" Boulder said looking over Firework into the room. Firework grabbed Boulder by the neck with his hooves and slammed Boulder against the wall opposite the door. Firework said nothing. He was seething with anger. He was ready to break Boulder's neck when Fuse ran up and grabbed Firework.
"Firework! Stop! You can't kill him. No matter what he did. You can't kill him. Vinyl needs you with her not in jail." Fuse was trying to hold back his friend.
"NO!" Firework screamed. "Not after what he did to Vinyl!" Firework broke loose from Fuse and began to beat Boulder senseless.
"FIREWORK STOP!" Vinyl screamed running out of the room. Firework froze at the sound of distress in Vinyl's voice. "Fuse is right I need you with me. I can't have you in jail." Vinyl was on the verge of tears again.
"There she is! You're just the pony I wanted to see." Exclaimed Boulder.
"Burn in hell Boulder." Vinyl said as coldly as she could.
"Aw... I'm hurt Vinyl. That's no way to talk to an old friend. Especially after all we went through." Boulder said with a wink.
"THAT'S IT!" Firework screamed as he threw Boulder against the wall and started to beat him again. Boulder was just as bloody and bruised by now as he was the night before. Firework wasn't holding back. Vinyl had to get him off of Boulder using a levitation spell. As much as she hated Boulder she couldn't let Firework go to jail for murder. She needed and loved him too much.
"Get him out of here Fuse. Call the Guards." Vinyl said spitting on Boulder as she took Firework inside their room.
"Guards! Come quickly!" Fuse yelled and almost instantly three Royal Guards appeared.
"What seems to be the trouble sir?" Asked one of the Guards.
"This stallion came trying to harass Miss Vinyl Scratch and fight Mr Firework. I suggest you lock him up before he causes any more problems." Fuse tried to sound dignified but he wanted to beat Boulder just as badly as Firework did.
The lead Guard told the other two. "Understood. You two take him to the holding cells."
"Yes Sir!" They replied in unison as they dragged Boulder's unconscious body away.
Vinyl set Firework down on the bed and released him from the spell. Before Firework could move she tackled him with a hug. She gripped him tight and wouldn't let go. She needed to know she wasn't going to lose him. Firework finally began to hold her.
"Firework... Please. I can't lose you. Let it go. Let him go." Vinyl pleaded with tears in her eyes.
"Vinyl he deserves to pay for what he did to you." Firework said with anger.
"His time will come. I know it will. But I love you and need you with me. Not in jail for life." Vinyl held onto him like a scared child.
"You won't Vinyl. I promise you won't lose me. I'll let him go but he won't be so lucky if he bothers us again." Firework stated bluntly.
"Firework?" Vinyl asked.
"Yes Vinyl?"
"Will you kiss me?" Vinyl asked looking into the stallion's teal eyes. Firework didn't respond he simply leaned in and kissed Vinyl deeply. Assuring her he wasn't going anywhere without her at his side.
"Vinyl let's go home." Firework said exhausted from the days events and it wasn't even noon.
"Agreed." Vinyl said.
Fuse had dealt with all he could stand for one day. It was time to leave and go see Lightning. He decided to do Vinyl and Firework a favor and paid to have all the equipment shipped to Firework's house so they wouldn't have to worry about it. He left a note on their door before he left. Fuse packed his bags and got on the first train to Ponyville. When he arrived he flew straight to his house and burst through the door. "Lightning! Lightning I'm home!" he called. Nopony answered. Fuse started to worry. "Calm down Fuse she's probably out shopping or something that mares do." He laughed. But when he walked into the kitchen he saw a note on the table. And when he read the note his blood ran cold. "Dear Fuse, I have taken back what is rightfully mine. My daughter. Go to hell. Icestorm." Fuse couldn't think. He couldn't breath. He just sat down on the floor and stared at the note. Then he realized there was only one thing to do. Go get Lightning back.

As a side note: Me and editor will be rewriting chapter one soon because I feel like that's where I seem to lose most people. Firework and Vinyl decided to catch a late train and just relax a while before they went home. Vinyl just wanted to be close to Firework and to try and forget about the stress of the past few days. So couldn't believe Boulder, that even after all he did he still tried to cause her more pain. She tried not to let Firework see her distraught expression but like always he noticed.
"Vinyl I can see your face, what's wrong?" Firework asked as Vinyl tried to hide her expression.
"N-Nothing Firework. I promise babe." There it was again. She called him babe and she didn't know why. Since Boulder she never used nicknames on stallions. It made her feel too close and vulnerable.
"You know I could really get used to you callin' me babe." Firework said with a wink and he nuzzled her head.
"oh sh-" She stopped herself from her usual come back. "It feels right." She said with a loving smile.
"I love you Vinyl."
"I love you too Firework." Vinyl hid her face in his chest. She was holding back her tears. She couldn't get the memories of Boulder to leave her mind. She was having a breakdown and couldn't let Firework see her like this. She needed Octavia.
"H-Hey Firework can we leave now?" She asked with pleading eyes.
"Of course we can. I'm ready when you are baby." Firework thanked Celestia he had a dark blue mane because he started blushing right after he finished his sentence. Vinyl on the other hand was starting to turn noticeably red. This made him and Vinyl laugh.
They grabbed their bags and headed out the door. Firework noticed a note on the door. The note read: "Hey Firework I paid to have all the equipment shipped back to Ponyville. You and Vinyl have fun but come home soon to hang out with me and Lightning. I left early. I couldn't stand to be away from her any longer. I'm sure you understand. Fuse."
"Well that was nice of Fuse!" Vinyl said with a smile.
"Yeah it was. I hope Lightning's ok. It's not like her to miss something like this..." Firework was starting to look concerned but shook it off when Vinyl grabbed his hoof.
"I'm sure she's fine. I bet she just got busy." Vinyl was trying to be optimistic.
"Yeah you're probably right. Well let's go and check up on them." Firework grabbed his and Vinyl's bag and they headed for the train station.
The ride home took about an hour and Vinyl fell asleep next to Firework about half way there. When they arrived she was still asleep so Firework called a carriage, put their luggage in the back and carried Vinyl onto the carriage. The pony pulling the carriage was a red earth pony with a wheel as his cutie mark. He saw Firework carrying Vinyl and whispered to him that the ride would be free. Firework tried to protest but the stallion simply put his hoof up to his mouth as the signal to be quiet for Vinyl. Firework sighed and climbed in next to the love of his life.
The ride across Ponyville took about as long as the train ride. The stallion driving took less crowded streets to avoid noise so Vinyl could sleep. Firework didn't mind. He was enjoying the peace and time alone with his thoughts. Half way to his house Vinyl curled up close to him and Firework couldn't help but smile. He was so happy but there it was again. That nagging feeling that something bad was going to happen. He was right the first time and it was about Boulder. He was nervous about what it could mean now...
When they arrived at Firework's house Firework grabbed the luggage and placed it on the front porch. He walked up to the carriage to get Vinyl but then springed out of the carriage and tackled Firework and kissed him. The driver blushed, he knew he should get going. The driver waved goodbye to Firework and chuckled as he drove away. Vinyl looked confused at first but decided to go back to loving on Firework.
"V-Vin-... we sho-... insi-..." Firework was trying to talk between kisses. He needed to learn how to that soon, she had left him with a great need for that talent.
"Shh.. Let's go inside so I can kiss you some more." Vinyl said with a wink. She had forgotten all about her breakdown and decided Firework was more important.
"Alright whatever you say." Firework laughed. They threw their bags by the couch and ran upstairs.
After a few hours Vinyl and Firework decided they should go see how Fuse and Lightning were doing. They walked downstairs and out the door. As they neared Fuse's house they noticed no lights were on and it was around 8. They walked up to the door and knocked but nopony answered. So they decided to go inside. They looked around but nopony was home. Then Firework found the note from Icestorm. His face turned bright blue and he almost collapsed on the floor. Vinyl ran into the room to steady him and saw he was holding a note. She read it and she too couldn't believe what she had just read. Firework knew where Fuse had gone and told Vinyl he had to go help Fuse and that she needed to go home and stay there.
"Oh no you don't! You're not going anywhere without me!" Vinyl snapped.
"Vinyl I don't have time for this. Go home. I won't risk you getting hurt." Firework was trying to sound as forceful as possible.
"Sucks for you cause guess what. I'm going. Lightning and Fuse are my friends too and I love you so we are doing this together. Got it?" Vinyl stared him right in the eyes.
"Ugh! Fine. You know you're so stubborn. Please don't get hurt trying to help me though." Firework couldn't handle the thought of seeing Vinyl hurt.
"And you don't get hurt by trying to be a hero." Vinyl replied.
"Then it's a deal. Let's go save Lightning!" Firework said. And with that they left to start the journey of a lifetime.
The Adventures of Firework and Science Explosions: The Rise to Fame
(Author's notes): I am going to start splitting up the chapters by who's telling the story. Each main character will have chapters of their own during the Lightning arc. Lightning:
The past three days had been the some of the worst in Lightning's life. She was currently being held hostage by her own father, Icestorm. She was tied up and had no idea where she was. She decided to go over the events of the past few days to see how she wound up here.
Three days ago. Lightning was helping Fuse pack for one of the biggest events of his life. She was so proud of him that he was going to be performing at the Gala. She was even more excited that he was going to be performing along side Vinyl Scratch her new friend and music idol. This was all a dream come true for Fuse and she knew it. She couldn't wait to be backstage cheering on the love of her life in front of crowds of thousands. They would shower him in diamonds! But sadly she would have to catch the first train to Canterlot in the morning. Fuse got to stay at the castle because he was a performer but she wasn't so she couldn't stay with Fuse.
Fuse left for the 7 pm train and Lightning began counting the hours until she could see him again. When 11 pm rolled around she couldn't stay up any longer and decided to go to bed. Alone. She couldn't sleep without him by her side. She always felt so warm and safe with him and without him she was cold and afraid. Around 1 am she heard a noise from downstairs. She was really afraid now. She needed Fuse so badly. He wasn't afraid of anything except losing her. Lightning decided to go check out the strange noise so she could try and sleep. She slowly crept downstairs trying to see in the dark. Fuse didn't have a lot of furniture in his house so if it was a burglar he wouldn't have much of a place to hid. She didn't see anypony in the living room so she moved on to the kitchen. And that's when she saw him. Icestorm. Her father. Her blood ran cold and her heart skipped a beat at the very sight of him. She panicked. She couldn't move. She didn't know what to say or do.
"Hello LightningStrike." Her father said coldly.
"I-Icestorm...? W-What are you doing here? How did you find me?" Lightning could barely speak. Her father had a cold angry look on his face and had blood on his hooves from where he had smashed some glass.
"It wasn't hard. Your stupid stallion has even dumber friends. I went back to Las Pegasus and asked Firework's ex marefriend Sugar Sprinkels where Fuse lived and she led me here." Icestorm had a evil grin of satisfaction on his face. Lightning knew Sugar was a nice pony but not the brightest. Firework had tried to explain to her that Icestorm and Lighting didn't have the best relationship and he shouldn't come near her but she was just too nice to lie to anypony.
"Damn... That mare..." Lightning cursed under her breath.
"Now Lightning I'm here to take you back to Las Pegasus where you belong. I'm tired of you living with this stupid excuse of a stallion." Icestorm was inching towards Lightning as he spoke.
"He's not stupid!" Lightning screamed. "He loves me more than you ever have or will! And I'm staying here whether you like it or not!" Lightning was terrified but she stood her ground.
"I figured you would say something like that..." Icestorm flew at Lightning and struck her across the head with a blunt metal pipe he had under his wing. Lightning passed out almost instantly.
Lightning woke up on a empty train car on the way to an unknown destination. She looked around for somepony that she could ask for help but there was only Icestorm.
"Ah I see your awake. We are on our way to Las Pegasus. Your new home." Icestorm said indifferently.
"You won't get away with this Icestorm. Fuse will come kick your ass like he did last time." Lightning smirked.
"You are such a stupid child!" Icestorm spat as he slapped Lightning across the face.
Lightning whimpered but stood her ground. "Firework will come too as soon as he finds out and then your dead. Fuse and Firework will rip you apart." She tried to sound confident, but how long would it take before they could figure out that she had been taken?
"Again you are so stupid. This is all apart of my plan. I want Fuse to come find you. And when he tries to save you I'm going to end his pathetic excuse of a life for messing with me." Icestorm said laughing at Lightning. The look of fear in her eyes made him know she believed him.
"Y-You w-wouldn't kill him! You're too weak! You couldn't even handle him in a fight." Lightning didn't know what to say so she tried to call his bluff.
"You don't believe me? Well then I guess you never knew what actually happened to your mother." Icestorm said coldly. It sent chills down Lightning's spine.
"W-What happened to mom?!" She screamed at him.
"Isn't it obvious? I killed her." Icestorm laughed at the look of terror on his daughters face.
"N-no, no that's not true. That's impossible!" Lightning screamed again with a total look of disbelief.
"Oh really? Why do you think the police never caught the stallion who did it? The only other "witness" was me." Icestorm continued to laugh as this new information destroyed his daughter facade.
"You bastard! How could you?!" Lightning was starting to cry as she backed away from the monster known as Icestorm.
"It was easy. She was weak like you. She was good for nothing. Not even sex." The rage had returned to Icestorm's eyes. He was ready to kill Lightning as well but he still needed her. Lightning was curled up in the back of the train car as Icestorm still slowly made his way towards her. She had no where to run so she simply curled up into a ball and prayed to Celestia that he would leave her alone. Celestia must actually answer prayers because he simply punched one of the seats and went back to where he was before. Lightning fell asleep crying and wishing she was in Fuse's arms.

(Author's notes): Hey everypony I got bored and decided I'd post a chapter tonight anyways. I know everypony hates Icestorm and Boulder but don't worry they will get what's coming to them. I'm announcing that next week there will be no new chapters from Wednesday to Friday. I'm really sorry but football has taken up a ton of my time so please bare with me. You guys are awesome! Oh somepony tell me what they think of the new improved Firework. More drama happening now but this chapter is a little slow. I had to introduce a character for later. Fuse:
Fuse knew Icestorm was a terrible pony but he had no idea he was this sadistic. Fuse also knew where Icestorm was going. Icestorm's home was in Las Pegasus. He hoped that Firework didn't come the last think his friend needed was to run into Sugar with Vinyl. He could only imagine the chaos that would come out of that... Fuse decided that there was no time to catch a train. He needed to fly there. Icestorm had a days head start and the train to Las Pegasus took about a day and a half and to fly there took about a day at top speed. Fuse was a pretty good flyer but he knew even at top speed he couldn't catch the train. So Fuse did what he had to do. He took to the skies and headed off to save the love of his life. Fuse had nothing but the wind beneath his wings. He was flying as fast as he could. The fear of Icestorm hurting Lightning was driving him to fly harder and faster.
Fuse arrived at Las Pegasus at around 6 the next morning. He had flown all day and threw the night. When he arrived in town he landed in the middle of the enormous city and collapsed. Fuse woke up in an apartment somewhere in the city. He could hear hustle and bustle of the city outside. He called out to see if anypony was home. "Hello? Anypony there?" Fuse got up to look around. Suddenly an all too familiar pony appeared.
"Hi Fuse!!!" Sugar Sprinkles yelled.
"Oh crap..." Fuse muttered. "Not this mare..."
"Hiya! How you doin'? How's Firework? Is Firework here? Does he miss me? I really miss him. I wish he was here.. Why are you in Las Pegasus? Did you move? Are-"
"SUGAR! Please! I don't have time for this!" Fuse yelled over Sugar's questions. "Look do you know a pony named Icestorm?"
"Icestorm? Who doesn't know Icestorm. That grouchy pony. Although I do feel bad for him since his wife was murdered..." Sugar expression changed from excited to sad.
"Murdered? Oh crap... Lightning..." Fuse started to look terrified at the thought of Icestorm standing over Lightning's cold lifeless body.
"Are you ok Fuse? You look scared." Sugar looked worried.
"No. I need to find Icestorm, now! Where does he live?" Fuse was getting anxious.
"Um... I think he lives on the southern outskirts... That's the last place I saw him." Sugar said trying to remember.
"Ugh.. Well can you take me there..?" Fuse asked reluctantly. He didn't wanna spend any more time with her than he had to but he didn't know anything about Las Pegasus.
"Sure! That way we can talk about Firework more!" Sugar said excitedly.
"Great..." Fuse mumbled.
Sugar and Fuse left the apartment and Fuse started to fly away but stopped mid air when he remembered Sugar can't fly. "This is going to be a long day" he muttered. Sugar asked all kinds of questions about Firework and Fuse started to realize she thought they never broke up. "Oh crap... This is not going to end well... When she finds out Firework upgraded to the Vinyl Scratch she's gonna flip." Fuse started to freak out so he tried to change the subject.
"So how's Las Pegasus been?" Fuse asked nervously.
"It's been awesome!" Sugar said. "Except Firework is so far away..."
"Well i'm sure this town has lots of great stallions, right?" Fuse said trying to see if she had moved on.
"I guess there are some nice stallions here." Sugar shrugged.
"So Sugar have you been seeing anypony else?" Fuse asked hoping she would say yes.
"Um.. no. Why would I? I have Firework." Sugar looked puzzled.
"Great... My suspicions were right... She still thinks that Firework is her special somepony..." Fuse cursed under his breath.
"Has Firework been seeing other mares?!" Sugar screamed and got face to face with Fuse.
"Um.. Well... Maybe..." Fuse squeaked.
"WHO IS SHE?! SHE'S DEAD!" Sugar was pissed now.
"Her name is V-Vinyl Scratch..." Fuse said barely above a whisper. I really hope Firework and Vinyl don't come here, Fuse thought.
"Vinyl Scratch?! That DJ whore?!" Sugar was ready to murder Vinyl. Sugar thought Firework was all hers but now she was going to fight to get him back.
"Hey! Hold up. She's not a whore. She's a great mare and Firework is really ha-" Fuse cut himself off in fear of his life. He had never seen Sugar so mad. He figured he should hold his tongue before he got punched.
As if Fuse was already having a bad enough day he then saw a flash of light and Firework and Vinyl appeared a couple yards down the street from them.

Firework:
When Vinyl and Firework left Firework's house Vinyl told Firework that she knew a pony who could help them get to Las Pegasus faster. She said that the pony could use a teleportation spell to get them there instantly. So Vinyl and Firework headed off to visit this pony. Vinyl led Firework to this pony's house. She lived in the local library near Vinyl's house. Firework wasn't much of a reader so he had never been to the library. The pony was a purple mare unicorn with a cutie mark that looked like a star. She said her name was Twilight. Vinyl said Twilight owed her a favor and told her that they needed to get to Las Pegasus as fast as possible. Twilight told them that she had been working on a long distance teleportation spell and said she was about ready to use it if they were willing to volunteer.
"We're ready Twilight!" Vinyl called as Twilight was coming downstairs with the spell book.
"Yeah what's the worst that could happen?" Firework laughed.
"We could run into your ex marefriend." Vinyl chuckled.
"Not funny Vinyl." Firework said with a flat look.
"Alright listen up you two. This shouldn't hurt. You might feel a slight pinch but other than that you will be fine. Well here it goes!" Twilight exclaimed as her horn started to glow. Vinyl and Firework were wrapped in light and lifted slightly off the ground.
"Hey this is pretty co-" Vinyl was cut off by a huge flash of light and then they were gone. Ten seconds later they landed in Las Pegasus with a thud. "-ol." She said finishing her sentence.
"Hey is that Fuse?" Vinyl asked.
"Yeah and that's... Oh buck!! That's Sugar! My ex marefirend..." Firework started to turn pale.
"What's wrong Firework? She left you. You shouldn't have to hide." Vinyl looked confused.
"Yeah. You're right. I'm glad she left cause now I've got you." Firework said with a loving smile.
"Well I guess she's not as happy as you are..." Vinyl said when she saw Sugar charging at her with a look of rage.
"YOU WHORE!!! YOU DARE TO TRY AND STEAL MY FIREWORK?!" Sugar was picking up speed and was about to slam into Vinyl when Firework leaped over and grabbed her.
"Sugar calm down. What are you all worked up about?" Firework looked as confused as Vinyl.
"Shut up you cheating bastard!" Sugar screamed as she slapped Firework and broke free from his grip. She turned her attention back to Vinyl.
"Let me take care of this Firework. Nopony calls me a whore." Vinyl said coldly.
"Vinyl! Sugar! Everypony just calm down!" Firework yelled trying to defuse the situation.
"Shut up Firework. She's gonna pay for splitting us apart." Sugar replied just as coldly.
And that's when Vinyl shot off like a rocket strait at Sugar. Sugar was prepared though and caught Vinyl with a hoof to the chest. Vinyl stumbled back, shook it off and continued her assault. Vinyl shot a beam of magic into Sugar so she couldn't move her hooves. Sugar stood there struggling to move as the white unicorn barreled into her. Vinyl started punching Sugar with her hooves but was thrown back when Sugar bucked her body and slapped Vinyl with her lifeless hooves. Vinyl was getting tired of the earth pony and decided it was time to end this. Vinyl summoned all her magic and lifted Sugar off the ground and threw her down the street. Sugar landed with a thud and collapsed. Vinyl stumbled and fell over after the overuse of her magic. This broke the spell on Sugar's hooves and allowed her to get up. She wasn't finished yet. Sugar started to run down the street at Vinyl. But Vinyl didn't need magic to beat this mare and charged back at Sugar. They collided with a bang and began throwing punches. Sugar hit Vinyl square in the chest again and Vinyl gave her a uppercut to the jaw. Firework had seen enough of this and decided to intervene. Firework flew over and tried to get between the girls. The girls simply double punched Firework knocking him out cold. Fuse stood there in total shock and flew over to drag Firework away from the fight. Fuse flew in and grabbed Sugar and pulled her away from Vinyl. Sugar bucked and struggled but finally gave in. Firework sat up and rubbed his head.
"What the hell girls?! I was trying to stop the fight!" Firework yelled.
"We know." They both replied with an angry look.
"Look Sugar, Vinyl didn't split us apart. You did when you moved away from me. I thought it was pretty clear we weren't dating anymore." Firework was still rubbing his head but looked annoyed.
"You know what? Screw you Firework. I thought we had something special." Sugar said angrily trying to hide the hurt look on her face.
"We did Sugar. Until you ripped out my heart and left me alone in Ponyville. But I'm happy now. I have Vinyl." Firework said trying to put on a smile.
"Well screw you two. Fuse that stallions house is just a few blocks away. I'm leaving." Sugar said with a huff. And with that she was as gone as quickly as Vinyl and Firework appeared.

(Author's notes): Hey everypony I know it's not the morning but I'm staying up late to write this for you guys. Sorry I haven't posted anything in the past few days. I've been worn out from football. Anyways I'm gonna try and make this one long. On a side note I'm going to talk about a new character in this chapter that will come into play later so pay attention. Vinyl:
Vinyl watched as her new enemy ran down the street in defeat. She hadn't had to fight off a jealous mare in a long time. It actually felt good to have to fight off somepony jealous. She felt like she still had it. She turned around just in time to see Fuse running off towards Icestorm's house. That's when she remembered the real reason they were there. Lightning. Lightning was in danger and she needed to help her friends get her home safely.
"Firework come on we need to go help Fuse. I'm sure Icestorm knows we are coming." Vinyl never lost the seriousness in her eyes from the fight. She was full of rage and Lightning being kidnapped wasn't helping. She was ready to unload on Icestorm for the trouble and pain he had cause.
"Yeah let's go. Are you ok though Vinyl?" Firework looked very concerned
"I'm fine. Come on we're going." She said coldly.
"A-Alright.. Let's go then." Firework muttered.
Vinyl and Firework ran down the street after Fuse. They had almost lost sight of him when they saw him stop at the end of a deserted street. The lonely, run down house standing in front of him was Icestorm's. The house looked cold even during the summer. It looked abandoned and destroyed. Desolate and empty. Just the place where scum like Icestorm would live. Vinyl felt a cold breeze go down her spine as they reached Fuse. Fuse just stood there frozen in place. Vinyl knew what he was thinking. This was it. Now or never. They could die here or save Lightning. She knew it all depended on them being smart and working like a team.
"Damn I wish I had listened to some of my brothers combat training tips." Firework cursed.
"You have a brother?" Vinyl asked confused.
"Yeah. His name is Regal Knight. He's the son my parents dreamed of. I was the failure." Firework said looking down at the ground.
"I remember Regal from when we were colts. He's younger than Firework but never acted like it. He always acted so mature and proper. Like a Canterlot pony. I guess that suites him fine now since that's where he lives. He's second in command of the Royal Guard. He's Shining Armor's right hand stallion." Fuse recalled.
"Yeah... He tried to teach me some fighting tips when he got back from basic training but I was too jealous to listen to him." Firework cursed himself again for being so stupid.
"He sounds smart. Why do you guys not talk anymore?" Vinyl asked knowing that she was only delaying the inevitable.
"I was kicked out when I came of age. While Regal was allowed to stay as long as he wanted. Regal got most of the inheritance when my parents died. And Regal gets to be a Royal Guard. He got everything. I got nothing except Fuse. But now I have you." Firework smiled. "Regal never really knew how to talk to mares and when he went to be a Royal Guard he didn't have time for them. So I guess I do have something he doesn't."
"Guys seriously we need to focus." Fuse said as he came back to reality.
"Yeah. Anypony got a plan?" Vinyl asked. Then Vinyl and Fuse turned to look at Firework.
"Why are you guys looking at me? I'm not really one for tactical stuff." Firework looked at the ground again.
"But you are a leader Firework." Vinyl smiled. "Come on I'm sure you can think of something."
"Alright, alright. I've seen this type of house before. Three stories. Upstairs, ground level and a basement. Possibly an attic. Look I would say split up but Icestorm is dangerous. We need to be extremely careful. We need to find Icestorm first though and deal with him. Then save Lightning. I'm sorry Fuse but it's the safest course of action. I don't want to see anypony get hurt during this. Now when we find Icestorm we need to take care of him carefully. Vinyl I want you to freeze him with your magic while Fuse and I tie him down. Now when we find Lightning we need to be very gentile. She's probably going to be in a state of shock depending of what Icestorm has done to her..." He trailed off at the thought of what Icestorm might have done. "Alright everypony ready?" Firework asked trying to contain his nervousness.
"Yeah." Fuse said with a determined look on his face.
"Let's do this." Vinyl said coldly.
"Alright here we go!" Firework yelled as him and Fuse rushed the door. The both slammed the door with their hooves and sent it flying into the house.
"ICESTORM! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Fuse screamed into the darkness.
"Come in and find out you stupid pony." Icestorm called from the darkness and laughed. His laugh sent shivers down Vinyl's spine. It was like how Boulder laughed after he had finished his evil acts with her so many years ago.
"I WILL KILL YOU! JUST WAIT!" Fuse yelled again. Firework could see the rage building again in Fuse.
"Fuse calm down. He's taunting you so you lose focus. Stick to the plan. Don't worry we'll get him I promise." Firework had a hoof on Fuse's shoulder.
"Yeah you're right.." Fuse said shaking his head. "Let's go get this bastard."
Firework was the first to step into the house. Vinyl knew it was a trap but she didn't know how they were going to spring the trap. She held her breath as Firework made the first steps into the house. It was like time moved in slow motion. She could hear his hooves hit the old wooden floors and realized he was ok. She could breath again. She saw Firework look around and his expression change to one of horror. Vinyl stepped inside and realized why. Blood had coated the walls and floors. Messages written solely in blood had been sprawled over the ceilings and doors. Saying things like "Find me before it's too late." or "Fuse I'm dying." or "Fuse come save me." Vinyl almost threw up at the horrific sight. Why would Icestorm do this to his own daughter?
"Fuse don't come in here. Stay out there me and Vinyl can handle this." Firework said turning around to see his friend on the porch.
"Why? What's wrong?" Fuse started to look worried and then he stepped by Firework and threw up. "ICESTORM!!! IF YOU HAVE HURT LIGHTNING YOU WILL BE WISHING FOR DEATH!" Fuse screamed at the darkness knowing that Icestom was in there somewhere.
"Well why don't you come see for yourself." Icestrom taunted from inside the house.
"Firework I can tell where the voice is coming from. It's the basement." Vinyl said trying not to look at all the blood.
"Alright well I guess that takes care of searching the whole house. Come on I know where the basement door should be." Firework said leading them through the darkness. When the arrived at the door there was a F painted in blood on the door and a blood trail leading through the door. Firework slowly opened the door. Vinyl watched in horror as she saw that the blood ran all the way down the stairs into the darkness.
"Dear Celestia... What the hell has he done to her?" Vinyl asked as Fuse almost started to cry in his rage.
"He will die." Fuse said coldly. "I will kill him."
"Guys please focus I can't have anypony getting hurt." Firework had never seen such horrors and was in just as much shock.
"I'm going down there to stop this madness." Fuse said coldly as he started down the stairs.
"Wait let me at least shine some light from my horn." Vinyl said as she lit up her horn.
"Alright let's do this." Firework said scared as ever.
Fuse, Vinyl and Firework walked down the bloodied stairs slowly. Every step seemed to take forever. Each breath was heavy with fear. Everypony was on edge. They could hear Icestom quietly laughing to himself as they neared the bottom. It sent chills down everypony's spine. They knew he was insane and could have very well killed Lightning. And they could be next. But they weren't ready for the horrors they saw when the reached the bottom of the stairs and entered the basement. There she was. Lightning. She was strung up by her hooves pulling her apart in a star like shape. Blood dripping off her body like a leaky faucet. And the worst part was Icestorm sitting there in the middle of the room with a cup of her blood in one hoof and a bloodied meat cleaver in the other.

He's a pretty cool pony so be ready. Anyways I'm sorry I got so graphic but I think it's keeping you all on your toes so be ready for anything. Fuse:
Fuse had met some weird ponies before and some pretty sick ponies before. Then he met Icestorm. There were no words that could describe his disdain for such a wretched pony. Such an insidious creature. A demon among society. Hell in Equestria. He looked at Lightning's body. The love of his life strung up like a prisoner holding onto life by a thread. His heart broke at the sight. Her beautiful body now bruised, bloodied and broken. Tortured and beaten. She couldn't even look up to see him and the others. He knew she was still barely alive by her chest slowing rising and falling. She looked in pain even while breathing. Wincing at every breath of life. He wished he could take all the pain for her. He wished he could take her suffering away. But he couldn't. He could only pass on more suffering to the pony responsible for these malevolent acts. Icestorm. He was beyond ready to kill. He had silent rage flowing through his body. Radiating from his soul. It was a haze that tunneled his vision and heightened his senses. It was adrenaline without the crash. It was the wrath within.
"Icestorm." The room froze as Fuse spoke, "You bastard. To do this to your own flesh and blood. You're sick. I hope you burn in hell. But before you die you're going to know the pain you've cause Lightning. I guarantee it." Fuse flashed an evil grin as he thought of all the pain Icestorm was going to have to endure.
"Oh I've been waiting for this day for a long time. But you're wrong again you stupid stallion. You and your friends won't leave here alive." Icestorm laughed as he threw the cup of blood on Vinyl's white coat turning her a sickening shade of red and causing her to vomit. He then ran at Fuse with the knife at full speed with a smile that only a sociopathic killer could relate to. Teeth flashing, eyes full of joy and rage. Visions of death and fire dancing in his eyes. He lunged at Fuse full thrust going for the kill shot with the knife. Only to be stopped by Firework who dove in front of Fuse and watch as the kinfe entered his chest. The tearing of fur and skin. The gushing of blood and the cry of pain that escaped from Firework as he crumpled to the ground the knife fully erect out of his rib cage.
"FIREWORK! NO!" Vinyl and Fuse screamed as they watched their friend slowly bleed out onto the already blood soaked floor.
"One down two to go." Icestorm Chuckled as he went to pull the knife out of Firework.
"No. No. No. NO! DIE YOU MONSTER!" Fuse scream as he tackled Icestorm and started beating his face with his hooves. But Vinyl was seething with rage. Her coat was stained with Lightning's blood, she had just fought off a mare and now watched as the love of her life just took a knife to the chest to save his best friend. She was done. It was time to finish this.
Vinyl moved Fuse out of the way with her magic and lifted Icestorm off the ground. Her eyes were starting to glow and her horn was brighter than ever. The rage flowed with her magic making it powerful and strong. She started in concentrate as she held up Icestorm's body for Fuse to do his worst. Fuse began to pound and punch, buck and kick, bite and spit. Slowly killing the monster that was held before him. Watching his body bruise and break with every hit. Blood start to seep from his mouth and nostrils. Groans escaped Icestorm's sealed shut mouth. Vinyl had her grip on him and wasn't gonna loosen one inch. She loved to see him suffer as did Fuse. The two work like machines as they tried to inflict as much pain as possible before they ended his wicked, malicious life.
"Fuse step back. This will get messy." Vinyl said calmly as she began to increase her magic. Fuse started to protest but realized Vinyl was the way this pony was going to suffer. Vinyl started closing the spell around Icestorm. Slowly squeezing the life out of the wretched stallion. Watching as he gasped for breath as his chest couldn't expand to take in air. Crying out in pain as bones broke and shattered under the weight of the magic. Hearing the gruesome noises that escaped from the dying pony. Fuse knew this was the end for Icestorm as he walked over to him so he could be the last thing the stallion saw before he burned in hell. The pressure on Icestorm's body was extremely intense. His eyes were starting to bulge and his hooves had swollen as the blood rushed away from the pressure. He was either going to explode or crumple up like a piece of paper. Unfortunately for Fuse Icestorm's body couldn't handle the intense pressure and exploded like a fleshy bomb. Guts , bones and blood flew through the air and splattered the walls and drenched Fuse as Vinyl collapsed onto the disgusting ground. Fuse didn't move at first he just stood there and saw the pure carnage of the house of horrors. The blood. The guts. The ponies. He didn't know who to aide first. Lightning who was strung up by ropes and bloody and broken. Firework who had a meat cleaver sticking out of his chest. Or Vinyl who had just passed out onto the floor. He decided quickly that he needed Vinyl's help for the other two and ran to her aid.
"Vinyl! Please wake up! I need you!" Fuse yelled as he gently shook the unconscious mare.
"Ugh.. F-Firework.. Not now.." She mumbled, "FIREWORK!" She gasped as she bolted over to see the love of her life bleeding and dying. "Fuse hold his hooves down. I'm going to encase the knife in magic so I can remove it without hurting Firework. Then I'll try and seal the wound with my magic." Vinyl had never needed her magic so much before. It had really only been used to help make her music but now she was so thankful she took the magic first aide class in college. She focused as the magic slowly removed the knife from Firework's once blue chest. She quickly sealed the wound with her magic. Doing the best she could to take away the pain from her love.
Fuse ran over to Lightning and began to untie her. Her bonds had left grooves in her hooves like rings branded into her coat. He began to cry as she fell into his shaking arms. He held her close and cried. His mare. His whole life was lying in his arms. Too weak and fragile to speak. To hurt to even know where she was. But she was where she belonged. Safe in the arms of the one who loved her.

(Author's notes): So everypony I'm having a poll. If I decide to make Firework and Vinyl get intimate (more than kissing) (btw this won't be anywhere soon.) does everypony want it to be full detail (The story will become rated m and I will get very detailed but at the same time classy and interesting not just a clop fic) or rated T (just kinda saying they got intimate, dancing around it without going rated m)? Respond please!!! This chapter should clear up some questions about Sugar Sprinkles by the way. The next chapter will help with questions about Icestorm and his house of horrors. Also I'm going to stick to writing from each ponies perspective for a little while longer. I like the style more. As always comment, thumbs up and enjoy! :)
Firework:
Firework woke up in a strange place with white walls and floors, a bed with clean sheets, and tubes and wires running in and out of his body. This can't be heaven , he thought. And if it is I want to file a complaint. Firework noticed as a nurse walked in to check on him that this was a hospital. He tried to call out to the nurse but his throat felt drier than Ghastly Gorge. It came out as just a raspy moan.
"Well good morning Firework!" Chirped the nurse. "You've had a rough past few days it seems, It's amazing what you did for your friend. Stepping in front of a mugger with a knife like that but it's a shame what he did to that mare... But you're a hero! But here let me get you some water, I'm sure your thirsty." She said as she handed him a glass of water.
Firework quickly drank the glass of water. "Thank you nurse..." Firework didn't know the nurses name and felt kind of embarresed.
"Redheart. Nurse Redheart." She smiled. "How are you feeling? That stab wound was pretty nasty." Her smile faded as she mentioned the injury.
"I feel achy... Where's Vi-"
"FIREWORK!!!" Firework was cut off by the white unicorn bursting through the door and leaping onto his bed.
"Ugh.. Hey Vinyl!" Firework tried to hide his wince when she jumped onto the bed. The pain in his chest was extreme but he just wanted Vinyl close to him.
"Hey babe. Are you feeling any better? I can't believe you did that for Fuse. You're so brave and I love you." Vinyl said as she kissed him.
"He would have done the same for me. We're bros remember?" He said trying not to laugh in fear of pain.
"Yeah I know but still you're my hero!" She grinned as she kissed him again.
"Well I'll leave you two alone now." Nurse Redheart chuckled as she left Firework's room.
"Um.. Thanks Nurse." Firework said slightly red.
"Now where were we?" Vinyl said with a coy smile as she began to kiss Firework again.
"Something about me being your hero." Firework said with a wink.
"I think I remember that." Vinyl smiled as she began to kiss him again.
"Mmm... W-Wait Vinyl what about Lightning and Fuse? How are they doing?" Firework started to worry.
"Fuse is fine but he can't forgive himself for what happened... He thinks it's his fault." Vinyl started to look down. "A-And Lightning... Well.. She's not doin' so good.." Vinyl couldn't look Firework in the eyes.
"Damn it.." Cursed Firework. "It's not Fuse's fault. That bastard Icestorm did this. Not Fuse. Can we go see Lightning yet?" Asked Firework as Vinyl decided to snuggle up close to Firework.
"You can't. Not yet at least. You need bed rest. Doctor's orders and mine." Vinyl said snuggling closer to Firework. "You're not going anywhere without me."
Firework realized there was no reason to argue. "Fine. You win." He sighed and wrapped his wing around Vinyl to keep her warm.
"Firework?" Vinyl asked looking deep into his eyes.
"Yes Vinyl? Firework answered.
"Why did Sugar still think you two were together?" Vinyl had a slight frown on her face as if she thought he had been cheating on Sugar with her.
"Well.." Firework started with a sigh. Recalling the painful memories of when she left him with nothing but a broken heart in Ponyville. "Sugar and I dated for almost a year and we were very happy together. I loved her so much but then she told me she was moving to Las Pegasus. No reason why, she just wanted to. I told her I wouldn't move because me and Fuse were getting the band started and I wanted to see how far we could go. She said that she was going to leave with or without me. I begged her to stay but she wouldn't listen to me. She left me here with a broken heart. Alone. I thought her moving meant that we were finished. But I guess she didn't. I'm so sorry that she fought you. But I'm so happy that I ended up with you instead. You fixed my broken heart and I love you." Firework said kissing Vinyl's forehead.
"Aww, I love you too Firework." She smiled as he kissed her forehead and scooted closer to him. She was basically on top of him now and noticed Firework's coy grin. "Don't get any ideas you." She said with a grin and decided to curl up on top of him.
"I just hope Lightning and Fuse are ok... Fuse can be really hard on himself when he thinks he did something wrong. And just how bad is Lightning...?" Firework asked afraid to learn the truth.
"She was so close to death when Fuse cut her down from her ropes. She had lost so much blood. She had bruised and broken bones scattered through her body. She was such a mess." Vinyl again couldn't meet Firework's eyes.
"Is Icestorm in prison yet?" Firework was trying to find some good news in all this tragedy.
"Well actually..." Vinyl started.
"You two killed him?!" Firework yelled.
"N-No I-I d-did..." Vinyl started to cry at the mention of the sickening act she. Firework's jaw dropped as he laid there in shock.
"Oh Celestia... Vinyl a-are you ok?" Firework couldn't believe that the love of his life actually killed a stallion and probably saved his life.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine... I'm sure you hate me now.. I didn't want to tell you but you deserved to know." Vinyl said looking at the floor starting to cry.
"Vinyl there's nothing in this world that could make me love you less. I promise. You probably saved my life by doing that. I owe my life to you." Firework kissed Vinyl and brought her up close to his chest. He ignored the pain and began to hold her close.
"Firework did you see the scar..?" Vinyl asked unsure of how he would react.
"No. Show me." Firework looked nervous but ready to get it over with. He would see it sooner or later.
Vinyl levitated a hoof mirror over to Firework and held it up so he could see his chest. "It's not that bad.." Vinyl said trying to be optimistic.
Firework looked into the mirror and saw why the pain was so bad. The scar was a dark red and was about four inches across his chest. It looked like a thick piece of his mane glued to his chest. He sighed when he realized this would be a permanent reminded of his friendship with Fuse and his hatred of Icestorm. "I'm sure you think it's hideous.." Firework sighed as he closed his eyes in shame and pain.
"Never. I see it as your love for me and how brave you are. It's like a medal." Vinyl kissed his chest to try and ease the pain she knew he was feeling.
"You're the best Vinyl. You have gone through so much because of me and yet you still love me. I'm so lucky to have you in my life."
"There's nopony I'd rather be with. Through thick and thin I'm yours until the end." Vinyl smiled as she snuggled up to Firework and they both began to drift off to some much needed sleep.

(Author's notes): Hey everypony it's finally here! Fuse's first chapter written by Fuse himself. I hope you all enjoy it. If for some reason nopony likes it I'll post my own version of it later. The poll is still going on so please vote on it! As always comment, thumbs up and enjoy! :)
Fuse:
Fuse awoke suddenly in cold sweat, screaming into the dark room. “NOOOO!!”. He quickly looked around, panting as he tried to regain his bearings. A few seconds went by as the memories started to flood back to him. The flight to Las Pegasus. Meeting with Sugar. Going to the house, Vinyl and Firework by his side. Then so much pain. Seeing his love hanging onto life by a thread, and his best friend in the world stabbed by a blade meant for him. And the one who did it paying for his crimes with death. The paramedics showed up soon after Icestorm’s death. They nearly had to fight Fuse to take Lightning out of his arms. The medics rushed them to the nearest hospital, using every spell they knew to keep them alive. And Fuse could only watch, helpless, as the two most important ponies in his life slipped away from him. When they reached the hospital both Firework and Lightning were rushed into surgery. Vinyl and Fuse waited outside the O.R. for an agonizing 5 hours, until they finally received the news that their friends were expected to make a full recovery, and would be placed in rooms 200 and 201 for the time being. Right as the nurse told them the room number Fuse ran as fast as he could to find his marefriend, almost knocking over a group of doctors along the way. Fuse found the door labeled 200 and what he saw made him burst into tears. There she was, the love of his life, hooked up to an uncountable number of machines, tubes seeming to be everywhere. He trotted to her side tears streaming down his face, and held her hoof, nuzzling it for the slightest feeling of comfort. In a shaky voice he talked to her, hoping that maybe something would get through. “I’m so sorry… This is all my fault, I should have never left you… I’ll never let you go again; for as long as I live I’ll never let anypony hurt you again…” He kept talking until exhaustion finally took its toll, and he passed out beside her.
And that’s where he was now, waking from one nightmare to another. Lightning rustled in her sleep and he stroked her mane until she wore a peaceful look once again. He looked to the clock; it read 3:45 AM. Fuse didn’t care. He told himself he wouldn’t sleep or eat again until Lightning had awoken. So there he stayed, watching the sun rise over the city of Las Pegasus through a hospital window. He hated this godforsaken city. First with Sugar leaving Firework for this place, and now Lightning’s kidnapping. It only served as a place of pain for Fuse. He wanted to leave this place as soon as possible and never look back.
After a while Fuse looked back to the clock and discovered it’d been 8 hours since he had woken. Fuse decided that as much as he wanted to stay by Lightning’s side he had to go check on Firework. He left the room for a moment and peeked into room 201. There he saw Firework awake, with Vinyl on top of him, kissing him passionately. He decided not to disturb them and quietly shut the door. He went back to Lightning’s room and saw her in the same position he left her. He walked back to his post by her side and gave her a light kiss on her forehead. He stood there for another hour stroking her mane and holding her hoof for another hour until Nurse Redheart walked in with a plate of food. Fuse politely turned down her persistent offers of food. He wasn’t hungry, even if he hadn’t eaten in over 24 hours, and he didn’t want anything to distract him from Lightning. As the nurse left another pony walked in.
“Firework!” Fuse yelled as he ran and gave the biggest bro hug they had ever shared, not noticing the wince of pain Firework gave.
“I’m so sorry bro, I should have taken that knife…” Firework stopped him right there.
“No, if we had to do it over again I would take that knife every time. I love you like a brother, and I know you would do the same for me.”
“I…I love you too bro.” They both held back tears as the shared another hug. At that moment they heard a rustle from behind them. Lightning was waking up. Fuse ran back to her side, and Firework left the room to let them be alone.
Fuse anxiously held Lightning as her eyes slowly fluttered open. “Good morning sleeping beauty.” Fuse had thought about those words all morning, and now he just thought they sounded dumb. Lightning had a confused look on her face for a few seconds as she struggled to remember what happened. Her eyes widened as the memories of the past 2 days returned to her. She broke down right there as Fuse just continued to hold her tighter and tighter. He tried to hold back his tears, to be strong for Lightning but utterly failed and just continued to hold her. “I love you” he whispered in her ear as she shook in his arms. ”I’m so sorry…” They stayed like that for what could have been minutes or hours. The only thing that mattered was the Lightning was safe. After a time, Lightning had calmed to the point where she could talk with Fuse. “He took me so fast, and tied me up, he said he was going to kill you, and….” Fuse stopped her by putting his hoof to her lips, and kissed her with more love than he ever had before. He pulled away after a few moments. “This was all my fault, If I just hadn’t left you for that stupid Gala then none of this would have ever happened, but from now on no ponies going to ever hurt you, I’ll quit the band if I...” This time it was Lightning’s turn to interrupt with a kiss. “No it’s not your fault, and you can’t give up your dream just for me.” Lightning said looking away from Fuse. Fuse put his hoof under her chin and looked deep into her eyes. “You are my dream pony, and you always will be…” They kissed again and Fuse held her with a deep love. He told himself as long as there was still air in his lungs, he would never let her go.

Vinyl:
Vinyl waited in the hospital room while Firework went to go see Fuse and Lightning. She didn't feel close enough to the other two to go visit them at the moment. She had spent five awkward hours with Fuse in the waiting room while Lighting and Firework were in surgery. They didn't ever really talk before and the current situation didn't help that problem at all. She was so glad that it was all over. Firework and Lighting were safe and she could finally spend time alone with Firework. She couldn't get the image of the scar on his chest out of her head. It was his symbol of selflessness and bravery. He was a hero in her eyes. She loved him so much. But there was another pony on her mind too. Octavia. Her first real friend. The pony she loved as much as she did Firework. And one of the only ponies she could trust with anything. She planned to go see Octavia as soon as she and Firework left Las Pegasus and returned home to Ponyville. She had so much to tell her. She giggled as she pictured the look of pure shock on Octavia's face as she would retell her latest adventure. She missed that pony so much.
While Vinyl was lost in thought Firework came back into the room rubbing his chest from Fuse's constricting bro hug. He laughed a little as he saw Vinyl staring out the window with a strange look on her face.
"Hey baby you ok?" Firework asked as Vinyl jumped up at the sound of his voice.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine.. Just ready to go home that's all." Vinyl said running over to be in Firework's arms.
"Me too Vinyl. Me too." Firework said holding her close to him. "But I can't leave until I know Lighting is going to be ok. I think she just woke up as I was leaving so I left them alone but I can't leave Fuse here alone without support. Why don't you go back to Ponyville and be with Octavia for a while till the three of us can finally come home?" Firework held her close while they talked. She felt safe in his arms yet scared that she could lose him at any moment. She wanted to go home so badly but couldn't leave Firework.
"N-No I'll stay. Octavia can wait. I want to be here with you." Vinyl forced a smile. She couldn't have both so she chose Firework.
"Ok baby. Whatever you want." Firework said with a comforting smile.
It was three long days before Lightning was discharged from the hospital. During the three days Firework stayed at the hospital so the doctors could monitor his wounds and make sure the scar didn't get infected. Vinyl slept with Firework in his hospital bed. She wouldn't leave his side for anything. She always kept her eyes on him. Making sure she didn't lose him. Firework left the room everyday to check on Lightning and Fuse. He always came back the same way. Depressed. She talked to him about it and could see that Fuse blamed himself and wouldn't let it go. She knew this was killing Firework. She knew how close Firework and Fuse were and when one was depressed the other was too. Nurse Redheart visited a lot and always tried to talk Vinyl's ear off. Firework would pretend to be asleep when she would come by so that the Nurse would talk a little less. Vinyl was being driven insane in the quiet hospital. She hadn't listened to music in days and her mane was starting to straighten out. She missed the wubs and bass drops. The high notes and rapid drum beats. Her creations and masterpieces that pumped through speakers and headphones all over Equestria. Firework must have noticed what was going on and went out and got her a DJ-PON3 poster. This made her smile but it was like looking at completely different pony. A pony that knew no sorrow. Just parties and concerts. Not Vinyl. Her career had to be in shambles now. The flop at the Gala probably made her lose several important sponsors and fans. She knew Firework would take care of her but she still hoped deep down that she could somehow make a career comeback. Just to step back into the booth would be a miracle. Now she really needed to talk to Octavia.
Finally the third day came to an end. Lightning was discharged from the hospital along with Firework and the four made their way to the train station on the edge of Las Pegasus. Lightning was silent the whole way there. She hardly made a sound while clinging to Fuse as they walked. Vinyl tried to talk to her but all she got were quiet mumbles for replies. Vinyl was going to say something about it but Fuse cut her off with a glare.Firework just put a hoof on her shoulder and they kept walking to the station. The train arrived at noon and they all boarded the train exhausted and ready to be home again. Lightning seemed reluctant to enter the train but Fuse coaxed her on board and they sat near the back. Firework and Vinyl grabbed a seat near the door and began to talk.
"Did I do something to make Lightning mad at me?" Vinyl asked with confusion.
"No. She won't talk to anypony but Fuse. She won't even talk to me and I've known her almost as long as Fuse. I think Icestorm messed her up a lot more mentally than he did physically..." Firework couldn't contemplate the horror she endured while the were coming to rescue her.
"Oh boy.. This is worse than I thought. Do you think she'll ever be like she was before?" Vinyl looked worried and glanced back at Fuse who was holding Lightning while she slept in the train seat.
"I'm not sure... Lightning used to be a very social pony. I've never seen her like this." Firework put his face in his hooves. "Poor Fuse... He'll never get over this. Their lives have been ruined by one damn pony!" Firework was starting to get angry. Fuse must have heard Firework shouting and came over to see what the problem was.
"What's wrong Firework?" Fuse asked slightly annoyed. Vinyl saw that Lightning had woken up and was staring at Fuse with sad eyes.
"N-Nothing dude. You can go back to your seat." Firework sighed as he sat back down next to Vinyl.
"Fine." Fuse huffed as he trotted back to Lightning who hugged him as he sat down.
"This is going to be a long train ride..." Vinyl sighed.
When the train arrived in Ponyville everypony disembarked and began to walk to their respective homes. Vinyl and Firework kissed goodbye and Vinyl began the walk to her house. Back to Octavia. Ponyville seemed different now. The colors less bright and the ponies less friendly. It was like the whole world could feel the groups pain. Or maybe it was the other way around. Vinyl's mane was a little less bright and had completely straitened out. She didn't talk to anypony on her way home. Her coat had faded from bleach white to a light grey. When she reached her house Octavia was staring out the window and saw her coming up to the door. Octavia ran downstairs and shot out the front door, tackling Vinyl in a huge hug.
"Hey Octavia missed you too..." Vinyl said halfheartedly.
"What's wrong Darling? Lightning isn't... Is she?" Octavia wore an expression of pure worry. She knew how bad it could be depending on what Vinyl saw. If she had only know truly how awful it was.
"No. She's not dead but she'll never be the same again..." Vinyl couldn't even meet Octavia's stare as she spoke.
"Oh Celestia... What happened to that poor mare...?" Octavia had already seen one mare forever changed by some twisted stallion she didn't want to see another.
Vinyl began to retell her "adventure" with Firework and Fuse. She told Octavia about the teleportation spell, fighting Sugar, finding Icestorm's house, and then finding Icestorm himself along with Lightning, Firework being stabbed with a knife, the awful murder she committed and the time in the hospital. Octavia listened intently but had to control her gag reflex as Vinyl went through the gruesome details with precise accuracy. Octavia had never heard such a horror story. Especially not one that was real. Vinyl could see it was too much for the mare so she stopped. Octavia told her to continue and that she would feel better after she had gotten it all out. Vinyl wrapped up the story at where she had disembarked the train in Ponyville. Octavia just stood there, mouth agape and eyes wide.
"D-Darling... I have no idea what to say.. I-" She was cut off by Vinyl as Vinyl wrapped her up in a hug. Vinyl began to cry as Octavia held her close. "It's alright dear. It's alright. You're home now. You're safe." Octavia tried not to cry as she held Vinyl. "Come along darling let's go inside and get you cleaned up." Octavia said walking Vinyl inside and upstairs to the bath.
"T-Thanks Oc... I don't know where I would be without you."
"Still laying in that alley on Blueberry Road in Manehattan." Octavia laughed.
"Oh shut up." Vinyl laughed as she got in the bath Octavia had set. "Ahhh... This feels so good... I haven't showered in days." Vinyl blushed as she realized Octavia was still there. "Oc are you going to leave...?" Vinyl asked slightly embarrassed.
"No. I'm going to make sure you take a proper bath and relax. You have gone through so much. You need to take it easy for a while." Octavia said as she began to bathe Vinyl.
"O-Octavia what are you doing?" Vinyl was taken by surprise.
"Oh hush you. We both have seen much more than this with each other." Octavia didn't even blush as she continued to wash Vinyl.
"Oh Celestia... Fine." Vinyl sighed as she realized there was no way out of this.
"Octavia?" Vinyl asked to break the silence of the water splashing in the bath.
"Yes Vinyl?"
"What happened between us? We used to be so happy together. We used to never leave each other's side." Vinyl seemed slightly depressed as she recalled college and when they moved in together.
"We were young Vinyl. We had never been with stallions before and we just rushed into things. I still love you Vinyl. I always will but you and both know it wouldn't have worked out. But I'm glad we still live together." Octavia smiled as she recalled their first kiss and how new and exciting it had been. They had dated for almost two years half in secret from everypony and half known to the public. It had been hard keeping it a secret considering the fact they were always so giggly and clingy to each other. But they somehow did and when things really started to get serious they went public with their relationship. That's what ended it for them. As soon as everypony found out they instantly began to exclude them from everything. Vinyl couldn't get into clubs and Octavia was excluded from many famous orchestra concerts. This began to tear them apart. They couldn't go on dates and staying at home always ended in only one pony getting to do what they wanted. College ended and they moved in together. Their friendship strengthened but their relationship failed and left them where they are today.
"I love you too Oc." Vinyl said as she relaxed into the bath. It was good to be home.

(Author's notes): Hey everypony. That last chapter was a long one right? Ha ha well I hoped you guys liked it. Octavia will start becoming more involved with the group. Fuse is being lazy as usual (If only you guys knew him). There was supposed to be a Fuse chapter last night since his first was a big success but he was out with Lightning (wink wink). Oh yeah I forgot to mention Lightning is his girlfriend's OC in real life. Anyways if I post a comment about a new Fuse chapter coming out don't be surprised if it gets posted way late (He's a procrastinator). Anyways this chapter will finally answer questions about Icestorm and what he did to Lightning. A little shout out to StormkingArcana I wrote this whole chapter listining to Machine Supremacy! Firework:
Firework watched as he and Vinyl parted ways at the train station. He didn't want to leave her side but he knew she needed space after everything that had happened. Firework needed time alone too. He hadn't thought much about what all had happened and needed to clear his head. He was in no condition to fly so that wouldn't be an option. He decided to go home and try and make some music. Not like it really mattered if it was good or not. He doubted they would ever get a concert or even an opening act after what happened at the Gala. The Gala. This all started because of the stupid Gala. Or did it all start when they befriended Vinyl... No. She's perfect. She's not the problem it's the Gala's fault. He seriously needed to clear his head now. He couldn't believe he would even think this could be Vinyl's fault. Firework got to his house about thirty minuets after the train had stopped in Ponyville. He was going to walk with Lightning and Fuse but they bolted off as soon as they disembarked from the train. So Firework was now alone with his thoughts. Home at last.
He went up to his room to be greeted by his posters of his idol now lover. He walked out of the room and went to the music room. It was a small room with a mixer board and a multitude of speakers and a small computer. Everything was crammed tight into the room. There was barely enough space for three ponies in there. He entered the room and shut the door as he sat down at the mixer board. It was good to be back with his music but it didn't feel the same. The beats just weren't loud enough or fast enough. He turned up the volume until his music could be heard from halfway across Ponyville. He blasted bass drops and wubs till his house began to shake. The music had drowned out every sound within his house. Firework closed his eyes and began to clear his head with every note. He thought about how excited he was to be preforming at the Gala. Then arriving there only to have the show stopped by Boulder. He thought about how he had ordered Fuse to assault Boulder and then how Boulder had the nerve to show up at their room looking for Vinyl. He thought about beating Boulder senseless in the hallway only to be held back by Vinyl's magic. He remembered Fuse leaving in a hurry to get back to Ponyville, to Lightning only to find her kidnapped by Icestorm, her bastard of a father. Then having to be teleported to Las Pegasus by the purple mare. Only to find his ex Sugar thinking they were still together. And how Sugar and Vinyl fought over him. He remembered Sugar running away after telling Fuse where Icestorm's house of horrors was located. He thought about how him and Fuse kicked down the door only to find the blood. So much blood. On the walls, the ceilings and floors. Messages written in it. Taunting his best friend. Telling him that Lightning was dead. He remembered the small river of blood that led them to the basement door. He remembered Icestorm's sadistic laugh as they descended into the darkness. He shivered as he recalled Lightning being tied up and bloody. Then Icestorm with the cup of blood and the knife. The knife. That shiny instrument of pain that cut him open like a wet paper sack. He clutched his chest as the memories of pain returned. The room began to spin and Firework collapsed in the small room, music still blaring. Firework didn't make a sound besides shallow, inaudible breaths.
"FIREWORK!!!" Fuse yelled but it only sounded like a whisper with the music turned up so loud. Fuse ran up to the music room and burst through the door. "FIREWORK!!!" He yelled again only to realize that his best friend was collapsed in the middle of the room. Fuse ran to turn off the music and check on his friend. "Firework! Hey come on bro get up!" Fuse yelled as he shook Firework.
"Ugh... ICESTORM! THE KNIFE! WHERE IS IT?!" Firework thrashed around on the floor as Fuse tried to comfort him.
"Firework calm down! Icestorm is dead. The knife is gone. He can't hurt you or anypony else. Ok?" Fuse said still trying to comfort him.
"No... No. NO! He stabbed me Fuse! HE STABBED ME!" Firework was face to face with Fuse. The fear in Firework's eyes was startling. It was like he was trapped in the nightmare of memories.
"Snap out of it Firework! You're home! You're safe here!" Fuse grabbed Firework and shook him as he spoke.
"F-Fuse I'm sorry... I don't know what came over me.." Firework shook his head trying to make the horrible memories leave his brain.
"It's ok dude. Come on I need you to come to my house. Lightning said she wants to tell me and you everything that happened. She told me you deserve to know." Fuse motioned for Firework to follow him downstairs as the two left to go next door.
Firework and Fuse found Lightning curled up in a ball on the couch when they came inside. Lightning instantly shot up and went to Fuse's side. She was like a scared child. It broke Firework's heart to see her like this. Death wasn't an appropriate punishment for Icestom. He should have suffered forever. He had destroyed this mare. Fuse sat down on the couch and Lightning curled up next to him.
"I have something to tell you two..." Lightning said at barely a whisper. "I want to tell you two everything that happened..."
"Alright Lightning. You can tell us whatever you want." Firework felt like he was yelling compared to Lightning's whispers.
"Well it all started when he broke into Fuse's house the night of the Gala..." Lighting began her retelling of the horrors she went though with Icestorm. She told them about the train ride and how Icestorm admitted to killing his own wife, How Icestorm had concealed Lightning in a big black bag to get her to his house without anypony taking notice. She faltered when she told of how Icestorm had killed his own neighbors to get all the blood for his sick messages and to coat the walls. Lightning said they were a young couple who had no foals thankfully. She said Icestorm had tied her up in the basement like they had found her and would beat her and cut her daily. He was brutal. So full of rage and anger. He had driven himself insane. She said she finally passed out after two days of hanging there. She told them how she was ready to give up on rescue and just let go. She recalled that she was unconscious when they had finally arrived and didn't know anything about how Icestorm died or how Firework got stabbed. She began to cry as she finished her story and held onto Fuse tightly. Fuse held her close and tried to comfort her but Firework knew hugs could not fix the trauma this mare had seen. Firework got up and told Fuse and Lightning goodbye. He needed to go see Vinyl. Hugs may not fix everything but one would sure help.

(Author's notes): Hey everypony sorry it's been so long... Fuse didn't have his chapter cause he was sick so I decided to write a Lightning chapter. Well my brother thought it would be funny to unplug my laptop (it has no battery) as I was finishing the story so I lost it all... In a state of rage I couldn't rewrite it so Fuse wrote this chapter for me finally. Hope everypony likes it! Enjoy. :)
Fuse:
Fuse sat fuming as he listened to Lightning tell her story. He wished at that moment that Icestorm was alive, so he could continue to beat him over and over. Death was not enough of a punishment in Fuse’s eyes, in fact it was merciful for what he wanted to do to him. Over the past few days, as he saw just how bad that sick pony had hurt his marefriend, he grew angrier and angrier at himself and everything around him. He walled his anger in though so he wouldn’t lash at his friends, but with each word Lightning spoke that wall broke more and more. As Lightning finished with the last gruesome detail Fuse held her close. Firework walked out, and Fuse looked down towards Lightning. She looked so different. Her coat had turned a lighter blue to the point where it was almost grey. Her once beautiful, life filled eyes seemed almost hollow, void of the spark they once had. How could one pony have done all of this?
He felt his anger growing to the point it physically hurt in his chest. Fuse screamed into the air and bucked the couch behind him causing it to flip over. He pushed away Lightning as he felt the rage inside of him taking over. Firework heard the scream and ran back inside to see what was wrong. Fuse doubled over as the pain in his chest grew to a near unbearable point. He looked up to Firework and Lightning his eyes red with anger. “Get…out…”He said, his voice dripping with malice. Lightning curled up on the floor and began crying, and Firework quickly picked her up and took her outside the house. Fuse jumped up and began hitting anything in sight completely blinded by anger. He broke the lamp Lightning had brought over and his hoofs began bleeding. He didn’t care. Fuse continued hitting and bucking anything in reach. Outside Lightning began sobbing as Firework tried his best to console her. Fuse heard these sobs and stopped. He looked down at his now blood stained hoofs. “What am I becoming?” He thought. “I…I’m a monster.” He looked around at the disaster around him, the damage he had caused. And now he had made the pony closest to him cry. She had already been through so much pain, and he just gave her another reason to hurt. He fell onto the ground and began sobbing. “What is the point anymore?” he thought as he contemplated about taking his life. No, no matter how hurt as he felt he would never leave Lightning in this world alone.
Firework ran in after hearing the crashing stop. He saw his best friend on the floor in a puddle of tears, sweat, and blood. “FUSE!” He yelled running up beside him. Firework had never seen him like this. Fuse was the last person to get angry in a hostile situation, and even in heated arguments he would remain calm, so to see him like this…Firework didn’t know how to react. So he lay down beside his friend trying to console him anyway he could. After an hour Fuse had passed out and Firework got up and left to find Lightning. She had fallen asleep right outside the door. He picked her up and moved her inside, laying her beside Fuse who clung to her the instant Firework let go of her.
He awoke the next morning still holding Lightning, struggling to remember the prior night. It was all a rage filled blur. As he looked around the room, it dawned on him just how destructive he had been. It looked like the place had been ransacked. All the furniture had been tipped over, and there were multiple holes in the walls. All that rage had now been replaced with a deep sadness and worry for how Lightning would react to this. She had blocked herself off from almost everyone but him and if she was to cut him off too, he didn’t know how he could live with himself. He tried to pull himself away without waking her, but with no avail. She began slowly waking up. Her eyes fluttered open and grew large as she saw Fuse. He couldn’t tell if she was afraid or surprised. He got his answer seconds later as Lightning pulled him close to her in a tight hug. He put his arms around her, holding back tears.
“I’m so sorry. I don’t know what came over me, I was just so angry…I’m sorry.” She stroked his back as she tried to calm him down.
“Shhh, It’ll be alright,” Fuse was amazed as this mare, who had been through so much pain and turmoil was here trying to help him through this. His love for her only deepened as time went on and he didn’t think that would ever change.
“Alright let’s get cleaning.” She said smiling at him. They worked for hours, Lightning using her magic, and Fuse using his strength to clear all the damage. They would have to get a repair man to come out and fix the walls but until then they hung some of Lightning’s paintings over them. When they had finished cleaning Fuse left to find Firework. He had to apologize for freaking him out so bad and thank him for taking care of Lightning. He walked over to Firework's house but couldn't find him. Fuse figured Firework must be at Vinyl's house and decided to give them some space. After all he did just wreck his own house in front of him. Fuse trotted back home to be with Lightning once again.

(Author's notes): Yes I did change the last chapters ending. No I won't change it back (sorry Fuse). I need it to be a certain way for a reason so be mad at me if you must. I'm glad there are still readers out there. Sorry for the delay in chapters me and Fuse are busy with football and school started Monday so that means even less time to write but don't worry I'm in the process of making a schedule so that you guys can have a chapter at least every other day. Also this is the "detailed" chapter (wink wink) so if that's not your style don't worry you can skip over it without missing anything. By the way I've never written clop so it's not be the best but it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. (Note: I rewrote this chapter a hundred times and I still think it sucks but I can't put it off any longer. Firework:
Firework trotted through Ponyville while on his way to see Vinyl. He needed a hug. Hell he needed way more than a hug, he had an unshakable sadness about him. His best friend had just had a mental breakdown right in front of him. Firework couldn't believe the damage Fuse had done to his own house. Lightning seemed so shaken up by him freaking out but ran right back to him when he had calmed down. He would never understand the bond those two shared. Firework sighed as he reached Vinyl's door, he rang the doorbell but nopony answered. "Hmm that's odd.. I'll go in and see if anypony's home." Firework said opening the door. "Hello? Anypony home? Vinyl! Octavia! It's Firework!" He yelled out through the house. The only noise he heard was the sound of running water and soft music from upstairs. Firework walked up the stairs to find the source of the noise. The bathroom door was closed as Firework approached, he reached out to turn the knob and opened the door. Steam filled the room and the scent of roses filled his nose. Soft music play from a small speaker in the corner Inside the bathroom was Vinyl, all alone in the bathtub.
"Um hey Vinyl.." Firework said nervously. He didn't know why there were roses and candles all over the bathroom.
"Oh hey baby..." She said seductively. "Wanna join me in the tub?" Vinyl asked with a wink and motioning with her hoof for him to climb in.
"Um w-well I sho-" He was cut off by Vinyl grabbing him with her magic. She moved him closer to the tub and asked again.
"You sure you don't wanna join me?" She asked spreading her legs slightly in the tub so Firework could get a glimpse of her love.
Firework began fidgeting, trying hard not to just blurt out yes. He knew something was wrong with Vinyl. She was never so open about sex before. "Vinyl I'm sure there's something wrong and you'll just end up regretting this later." Firework tried not to look at the prize that lay before him. She was all his for the taking. All he had to do was say yes.
"There's nothing wrong Firework. I'm just... relaxed. And I've wanted this for a long time now." Vinyl said hiding her nervousness behind a seductive smile.
"A-Are you sure Vinyl?" Firework asked inching closer to the tub. To Vinyl and her amazing body.
"Why don't you get in and find out?" She winked as he reached the edge of the tub. Firework just stood there not sure whether to get in and go through with it or to walk away and let Vinyl clear her head. "You gonna get in sometime today?" She asked slightly impatient. She was horny but still trying to act somewhat classy. Octavia said good stallions hate whores.
"Y-yeah sorry Vinyl.." Firework said climbing into the hot water. "Mmm this feels good..." He said sinking into the water.
"See? Don't you feel less nervous already?" She asked moving through the water so that she was in his lap.
"Yeah I do Vinyl..." Firework said closing his eyes smiling.
"And I'm sure this will make you feel even better." Vinyl said as she started to kiss his neck.
"Ooohhh Vinyl..." Firework said with a moan.
"Now for the real fun baby." She said with a wink.

Vinyl moved her hooves down his chest reaching down towards his stallion-hood. Firework shifted nervously as Vinyl began to rub her hooves slowly up and down his shaft. His head began to swim as she stroked his member. Sugar had never done anything like this with him. He didn't know what to expect but he knew for sure this felt so right. Vinyl began to stroke faster as Firework wrapped his hooves around her and shifted her closer to him. Vinyl started to rub her body along Firework feeling the friction of their bodies and the warm water. She moaned slightly as her body started to heat up. Firework moved his hooves down her back until he reached her plot. He slowly shifted his hoof to her mare-hood and began to slowly rub as Vinyl began to twitch.

"How about this?" Firework winked as he began to move his hoof faster over her love.

"V-Vinyl are you sure you're ready?" Firework asked less out of concern but more with courtesy to make her feel more secure with her decision. He wanted this badly and nothing was gonna get in his way now. Or so he thought.
VINYL!!! WHAT IN EQUESTRIA ARE YOU DOING??!! Screamed Octavia as she opened the door to the bathroom.
"Oh buck..." groaned Vinyl. "She had to come back now..."
"... Octavia? What are you doing here?" Firework asked trying to hide his erection from the glaring pony.
"Well I do live here Firework." Retorted the mare. "But now it seems to have become a brothel." Huffed Octavia as she tried to not stare at Firework in his current state.
"Oh come off it Octavia! You've caught me doing worse things than having sex in the tub. And some of them were with you!" Replied a very angry white unicorn.
"Hush Vinyl. No need for such silliness." Said Octavia trying to hide her blushing face. "I think I'll take my leave now. She said as she left the bathroom.
"Well that was a mood killer..." Sighed Firework no longer erect.

Vinyl looked a little upset as she climbed out of the tub. Firework felt bad about what they just did. He should have know she would have second thoughts after they had finished. Little did he know she was only mad at herself that she didn't please him. It hurt her that she felt unworthy of Firework's love and affection. She had to find a way to return the favor and soon. She had just the idea.

Vinyl dried off from the bath looking as red as Firework's mane. "Heh heh... Well um.. Thanks for a good time babe." Vinyl blushed as she spoke.
"It was my pleasure." Firework winked. "I just hope Octavia's ok..." Firework rubbed his hoof behind his head.
"I'm sure she's fine. She was probably just jealous of you.. There are days when I can tell she still has feelings for me." Said Vinyl sighing a little.
"Something wrong Vinyl?" Asked Firework with concern.
"It's nothing Fire.. I just need to talk to Oc for a while." Vinyl said thinking of how she could talk this through with the charcoal mare.
"A-Alright well um... I guess I'll be going now.." Firework rubbed his neck with his hoof.
"Bye babe." Vinyl said with a wink as she kissed him goodbye.
"B-Bye Vinyl.." Firework stuttered as he floated out of her house, his wings carrying him out the door.
Vinyl laughed as she closed the front door. "I guess I did a good job." She said to herself. "Now to talk to Octavia.. This isn't going to be easy. I thought she had already gotten over her feelings for me." Vinyl sighed some more as she walked up the stairs to Octavia's room. Vinyl walked up to the door and began to knock but she heard a strange noise coming from the other side of the door. It sounded almost like crying. "Oc you in there?" Vinyl called through the door. "Oc you ok?"
"Just go away you- you whore!" Octavia cried through the door.
"Hey! What the buck is up with you today?!" Vinyl screamed through the door. Octavia had never acted like this around Vinyl's other stallion-friends.
"Nothing's wrong with me! Since when do you use our bathtub as a sex spot?!" Octavia continued to cry.
"That's it I'm coming in!" Vinyl yelled as she burst through the door. She was about to give Octavia a piece of her mind but was stopped by a sudden kiss from the mare.
"Oct- mmm! Mmm..." Vinyl struggled to break from the kiss. "Octavia! What in Equestria are you doing?!" Vinyl said with a look of total shock on her face. Her mouth agape and jaw dropped.
"Oh Celestia... I'm so sorry Vinyl.. I-I don't know what came over me.." Octavia stuttered and blushed as she spoke. She couldn't meet Vinyl's gaze. Years of holding back her affections and having to watch countless stallions get to be with Vinyl had built up inside of Octavia. Seeing Vinyl with Firework earlier made the emotions overflow.
"Octavia we need to talk." Vinyl regaining her serious face.
"A-About what Vinyl?" Octavia said trying to pretend nothing was wrong.
"Seriously Octavia, what's with you? We broke up a while ago and us living together or me being with other ponies has never been a problem. So why is this all coming up now?" Vinyl looked annoyed and confused at the same time.
"I-I don't know Vinyl... It's just you know I'm still attracted to you-"
"Yeah I can tell." Vinyl interrupted.
"And I think I'm attracted to Firework too so this is making it even harder on me..." Octavia sat down and began to cry again.
"W-What?! You're attracted to Firework?! My Firework?!" Vinyl began to shout at Octavia.
"Oh Celestia... I knew this would happen..." Octavia hid her face in her hooves.
"Oc this is hard to take in but I may have an idea if it's ok with Firework..." Vinyl began to smile.
"W-What's your idea Vinyl..?" Octavia asked nervously.
"Well maybe... N-No never mind it's stupid.. Firework would never go for that." Vinyl began to sigh.
"What is it? Tell me!" Octavia was getting impatient.
"Well what if... we shared Firework?" Vinyl asked unsure. "You're my best friend in the whole world Oc and if that would make you happy then I'm willing to do it." Vinyl said smiling.
"Really?! You mean it?!" Octavia had a huge grin on her face.
"Well as long as Firework is ok with it..." Vinyl said trailing off.
"What's wro- Oh..." Octavia said realizing Firework may not be attracted to her as well. "Look just forget it Vinyl. I don't want to put you in an awkward position with Firework.." Octavia said looking at the ground. Vinyl started laughing as soon as Octavia had finished her sentence. "Oh hush you. No pun was intended."
"I know but still." Vinyl said still laughing. "Look I'll talk to him tonight. I'm sure he's still in a good mood from earlier." She winked at Octavia.
"You sure do have your way with ponies..." Octavia chuckled.
Firework had practically floated all the way back to his house. He completely ignored all other ponies as he passed through town. He was too busy thinking about the most beautiful mare ever. Vinyl. That morning had been a whole new step in their relationship and he was excited to see where this could go. He had just sat down on his couch when he heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" He yelled. He hardly ever locked his door now that Icestorm was dead. But standing in his doorway was something just as bad as Icestorm. It was Boulder.

(Author's notes): Hey everypony sorry I keep falling behind on my updates. There really is just no time left to write anymore. For those of you who still read this, thank you so much. Aceman100100 or Fuse as you all know him has decided to quit the story. Him and I agreed that we are just too busy so this chapter is the final chapter. I'm sorry to those who love this story but I kept falling behind in writing it and I feel like it has died. But to those of you who liked this story I plan on trying my hand at a dark possibly horror story (considering how well the dark chapters went) that will continue the storyline of Firework and Fuse. The story will begin soon (when my football season ends, possibly when season 3 starts!) So if you wanna read it just keep watchin my profile! I love you all and hope this is a worthy ending. Enjoy!

Firework turned his head to see Boulder, the only pony who could shatter his euphoria right now.
"Boulder?! What the hell do you want?" Firework said with malice.
Boulder said nothing as he stepped into Firework's living room.
"If you've hurt Vinyl in any way Boulder I'll-"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Boulder screamed with fury. "I didn't touch your little whore. I'm here for you. I'm here to finish this. You have beaten me, embarrassed me and had me convicted a rapist. You ruined my life! And now it's my turn to end yours."
"Boulder I don't want to fight you again but I will if I have to." Firework said calmly. "But you're gonna pay for calling her a whore."
"Then let's dance." Boulder said as he leaped towards Firework.
Firework tried to dodge Boulder's first kick but with no avail. Boulders leg caught Firework right in side and knocked Firework to the ground. Firework started to get up but Boulder bucked him back down. Boulder began to stomp on Firework as Firework tried to crawl away. Firework didn't know how much longer he could take this beating so he bucked with all his might and sent Boulder across the room. Firework crawled towards the door but could hear Boulder getting up behind him. Boulder grabbed Firework and slung him back into the living room. Firework was running out of strength and Boulder was barely even scratched. Firework peeled himself off the ground and stood on shaky legs. Boulder charged him like a bull but Firework side stepped the attack. Boulder slammed into the wall, knocking himself to the floor. Firework thought Boulder was unconscious so Firework made his way to the door. Boulder decided to make his way to the back door while Firework wasn't looking.
"Hey Firework! You home?" Fuse yelled as he entered through the back door, unaware that Boulder was against the wall behind the open door. "I've been-" Fuse was cut off by Boulder who slammed the door into the back of Fuse's head.
"Fuse? Is that you?" Firework yelled back, making his way slowly towards the back door. "Fuse? Hello?"
"Your precious colt friend is down!" Mocked Boulder from the doorway. "And you're next."
"I'll kill you for that!" Screamed Firework as he charged Boulder. Boulder was crushed up against the wall as the air deflated from his lungs.
"Firework..." Boulder gasped. "Please..." Firework was standing above Boulder with pure hatred in his heart.
"Time's up Boulder." Firework said as cold as death himself. "It's too late for please." Firework grabbed Boulder by the neck and lifted him up.
Fuse was starting to come to as Firework picked up Boulder. Fuse knew he couldn't stop Firework's new found rage. He could only watch in horror as Firework preceded to break Boulder's neck. The sound of crunching as his bones snapped in his neck was sickening. Fuse felt his insides churn as the life faded from Boulder's eyes. Fuse met Boulder's lifeless gaze as he fell to the floor. Fuse knew how this would play out in the media: "LOCAL STALLIONS MURDER A CANTERLOT PONY!" or "MURDER IN PONYVILLE!" Fuse knew he was alive but now his life was completely shattered. No more Lightning, no more band, no more Ponyville. It was all too much stress on him at once. Fuse proceeded to vomit all over the floor and began to stare at Firework.
"What have you done?!" Fuse cried as Firework walked over to him. "What are we gonna do now?! You just ruined our lives!"
"Get up." Firework ordered. "We've got work to do."
So this is how Firework and Fuse became famous. Or should I say Infamous. Either way they made the papers.
(Author's Final Notes): Thank you so much for reading this story. I know I got lazy with posting and it eventually died but still I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
