Chapter One

It’s not like she wanted this to happen. Applejack watched as two of her best friends made out. They were really going for it. One lifted their hand up and placed it on the other’s cheek. As the kiss deepened, Applejack looked over at her two remaining friends, Twilight and Rarity. They each watched as they drank out of plastic cups. Applejack just chuckled as the two girls continued to kiss. Both Fluttershy and Pinkie were the drunkest out of the five, but nobody knew that they both thought of each other that much. It's said that if you’re drunk, hidden secrets come out, however, their secret might have been they love each other so much that they wanted to kiss. AJ moved over next to Twilight. “This is gold,” Applejack heard Rarity say as she looked over to see she was recording the make-out session.

It was thundering outside. Each time the lightning struck the ground the lights would flicker. It had been a long night and all the girls had agreed that it would be best if they settled down for the night. Pinkie and Shy finally stopped kissing and both lay down next to each other to fall asleep. Applejack went downstairs as the other four went to bed. Going into the kitchen, she noticed the back door open slightly. She went over and closed it, not thinking who might have just come in. She walked to her kitchen sink and ran the water. AJ grabbed a glass and filled it up. Drinking it all at once, she placed the cup in the sink and proceeded upstairs. She just wandered into the guest room and collapsed onto the bed — she just wanted to sleep.

A Few Hours Later

“Applejack! Applejack! Quick! Wake up!” she heard. Waking up, she saw Rarity. She was shaking and it seemed she’d taken a bath in her clothes. “Pinkie Pie is gone!”

AJ shot up. “What?!” She dashed out of the room to see Fluttershy crying and Twilight calming her down. She looked at Rarity. “Did you go outside to check if she was there?”

Rarity nodded as the thunder continued.

Applejack covered her mouth as she rushed downstairs as quickly as possible, Rarity not too far behind her. She saw the door wide open again. “Did you go out the back door?”

Rarity shook her head. “No, front.”

Applejack ran to the back door and rushed out into the back yard. There was a giant hole in the fence. She began panicking.

Rarity called the cops as soon as she could. AJ ran back inside and up to Twilight and Fluttershy, looking around for any clues. She noticed Shy’s right ear was bleeding. Someone ripped her helix piercing out just to draw blood. “It’s okay, Flutters,” AJ said as she went to her knees next to her. “We will find her.”

It had been a year since Pinkie Pie’s disappearance, however, it had only been a month since the friends had started getting threats. Mr and Mrs Cake sold the house they were staying in just to get away from everything — they’d been very upset about Pinkie’s disappearance. But nobody felt as bad as Fluttershy did — it had been her house where she’d vanished. She didn’t leave her room for a week after the threats started coming through.

Rarity made her way to Shy's house. She brought her favourite food: chocolate. Who doesn't like chocolate? She climbed the stairs in front of the house and rang the doorbell. After a minute the door opened and Fluttershy’s mother stood in the doorway. “Morning, Mrs Shy,” Rarity said happily as Mrs Shy smiled at the young girl.

“Morning, Rarity. You came to see Fluttershy?”

Rarity nodded.

“She hasn't come out in a week. It'd be nice if she could see a friend right now.”

Rarity tilted her head. “Guessing the others haven't been here.”

Mrs Shy nodded. “What's going on between you girls? You used to be together all the time but now you hardly see each other,” Mrs Shy asked.

“Just giving each other some space. Since Pinkie's disappearance we decided it'd be best if we didn't see each other for a while,” Rarity said as Mrs Shy let her in.

“Then she's just upstairs,” Mrs Shy said.

Rarity nodded. “Thanks.” She made her way to the stairs. She saw Fluttershy's father in the kitchen. “Morning, Mr Shy,” she said before rushing upstairs. He looked up and shrugged. She went to Shy's room. Rarity knocked rapidly against the door before letting herself in, Fluttershy got up and prepared to shout. “Fluttershy?” Rarity said.

Shy sighed. "Oh, it's just you.” She threw herself back down onto the bed.

Rarity walked over to her. She sat down on the bed next to Fluttershy. She patted her on the leg. “Come on, McFlutters… smile!”

Shy lifted her head and raised one eyebrow. “Did you just call me McFlutters?”

Both girls suddenly started laughing. Rarity looked at Fluttershy and vice versa. That's when they both heard rapid footsteps and the door opened. It was Mr Shy. “Did I hear laughing?”

Then all three started laughing together. “Yes, father, you did hear laughing,” Shy said.

He went over and hugged her, “It's good to hear your laugh again, Fluttershy. I missed it.”

That's when Rarity looked down. “That's just reminded me of something…” Rarity stopped in mid-sentence.

Mr Shy looked at his daughter's friend. “What do you mean?”

Fluttershy looked at her father.

“It's kinda private,” Rarity said as she looks at Shy.

“I'm guessing it is. I'll leave you girls be.” He left the room.

“What's wrong, Rarity?” Shy asked as Rarity began to form tears. Fluttershy looked her in the eye. “Hey, there's no need to cry, Rarity.”

Rarity wiped her eyes and took a deep breath. “Police were over yesterday…” Rarity started as Fluttershy leant in closer to her friend. “I'm a prime suspect in Pinkie’s disappearance…”

Shy's eyes widened, “What?!”

Rarity started to cry at her friend's response, but then she nodded. “I… I didn't do it, Fluttershy.”

“I know you didn't. Please don't cry.” Fluttershy placed her hand on Rarity's cheek and wiped the tears as they cascaded down her face. She looked at her face to face.

“Fluttershy…” Rarity said softly.

Shy smiled softly at her. “It’s okay. I’ll back you up.”

“They won't believe it, Fluttershy.”

“They will if you say you were beside me all night.”

“I recorded you and Pinkie Pie with your little makeout session that night. They have the video. They have pictures, Fluttershy! Fucking pictures!” Rarity said jolting her head to the side and removing her friend's hand from her cheek.

“What happened that night, Rarity?”

“Nothing.”

“After everyone was asleep? What happened?!”

“Nothing happened, Fluttershy! Please stop asking!”

Flutters closed her eyes. “Rarity, that night… what happened when everyone was asleep? Did something happen between you and Pinkie Pie?” She reopened her eyes.

Rarity giggled as Pinkie smiled at her. Rarity was sat on the kitchen counter as Pinkie cleaned a glass in the sink. “So how does it feel?” Rarity asked.

Pinkie Pie tilted her head. “How does what feel?”

“Feel to kiss a girl? You know, you and Fluttershy seemed to enjoy it.”

“I knew Fluttershy would. After all, she always wanted to taste my cherry chapstick.” She winked as Rarity smiled. She puts the glass away and walked over to her. “If you want I could let you feel, the way I felt, the way Fluttershy felt.” Pinkie stood between Rarity's legs and brought her hand to her cheek. Rarity’s cheeks lit up a reddish colour. “Aww, you're blushing. Cute. Here, let's give it a go.”

Pinkie leaned in and connected lips with Rarity. She pulled her closer by grabbing Rarity by the ass. Rarity leaned into Pinkie. That's when they heard the door slowly open. Rarity leant back and Pinkie looked around. “Just the wind, princess.” Pinkie resumed the kiss.

About five minutes into intense kissing, they both ended up lying on the kitchen counter, Pinkie above Rarity. That's when there was a flash. Pinkie looked up… nothing. She looked down at Rarity and continued to kiss her once again.

Another five minutes went by when they both heard a bedroom door closing and someone coming downstairs. Pinkie quickly got up and pulled Rarity up. Pinkie walked around the kitchen counter. They saw Mrs Shy, Fluttershy’s mother.

“Oh hey, girls. What are you two still doing up?” she asked.

“I wanted something to eat and I asked Rarity to come down with me.” Pinkie backed up as Mrs Shy went to the fridge.

“Oh, okay.”

Pinkie then walked down the hallway and went into the downstairs bathroom. Rarity went off upstairs. She settled down in the bedroom with the others and soon drifted into what she thought was the dream world.

“You made out with Pinkie?” Fluttershy asked.

Rarity nodded “And when she said it was just the wind, it was someone coming in to take pictures. And now they’ve sent the videos and pictures to the police and I'm fucked…”

“Rarity it’s fine. If it's only footage of you two kissing, then it's nothing.”

“I was the last person to see Pinkie alive, Fluttershy.”

"We don't know that she's dead, Rarity. Please don't believe she's dead."

"Fluttershy, I'm sorry for saying that, but I am the last person to see Pinkie Pie alive."

Fluttershy just hugged Rarity as she didn't know what to say, but then she thought of something that might make her smile. “Listen, will it make you feel better if I go to school today?” Rarity nodded. Shy sighed. “Okay, you stop crying while I have a shower.” Fluttershy got up and passed Rarity some tissues. Rarity smiled and accepted them. Shy walked into the en suite bathroom, closing the door. Rarity heard the shower turn on at the same time her phone rang.

She grabbed her phone from her bag and checked the message. Unknown number. It was an image… of Fluttershy. “Oh fuck.” She looked at the bathroom door then back down at her phone. It was a naked photo of her friend, just about to get into the shower. “Your friend is heading for a bright future. It'd be a shame if you leaked this photo of her.”

Rarity began panicking and that's when she got another message. It was of her and Pinkie. A photo she’d never seen before. The image was followed by text. “Either you or her Rarity. Send that photo of Fluttershy to all your contacts or this photo goes to the police.” The photo the unknown person was threatening to take to the police was Pinkie in the bathroom downstairs, and Rarity behind her smiling at her. But it's what her eyes were showing: clearly an unsettling look.

She had to do it or she would be locked up forever. She noticed Pinkie’s reaction in the picture. She was clearly screaming help but for some reason, she didn’t. Her eyes were wider than anything Rarity had seen before. That's when she got another message through. “Tick tock, bitch.”

She quickly scrolled up and forwarded the picture of Fluttershy to everyone in her contacts. Minus Fluttershy.

First to see it was Applejack, then Twilight, then Shy’s parents, Mr and Mrs Cake, Rarity's own family, Applejack's brother and sister were next, then Twilight’s father, mother, brother and sister-in-law. More people who she sent it to began seeing the image.

Mrs Shy ran in and saw Rarity. She sighed. “I think you should go,” she said firmly.

“Mrs Shy… I'm so…”

“Out!” Mrs Shy shouted.

Rarity ran out, crying her eyes out once again, leaving her phone behind by mistake. Mrs Shy walked to the bathroom door and knocked on the door. She heard the shower switch off.

“One-second, Rarity!”

Mrs Shy sighed and backed up.

A minute later Fluttershy stepped out with a loose towel around her. Seeing her mother, she tightened it up. “Mom? Where’s Rarity?”

“Fluttershy, Darling…”

Rarity rushed back home. She slammed the front door shut and rushed upstairs. She arrived at her room and slammed the door shut. Throwing her bag down, she began to get angry. She picked up a chair from the side of the bed and threw it towards the door just as her mother opened the door. She ducked as the chair broke against the wall. Rarity then threw herself onto the bed.

“Rarity! What’s gotten into you!” Cookie shouted. Rarity ignored her. “Now since you’re here, why the hell did you send me, your father, and your little sister a photo of your friend naked?” Rarity cried into the bed. Cookie walked over and sat next to her. She slowly patted Rarity on her back. “You can tell me.”
