I wear red glasses, my cutie mark is a quill and ink because I love to write! I'm a permanent resident in ponyville I live with my pet koala named coco because she is very sweet to others. And today was a very exciting day but it was also quite scary. I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock going ring, ring! Ring, ring! I stopped it before it could make any more racket. I sat up and looked at my calendar and saw that today was the summer sun celebration! I quickly got out of bed went over to the mirror combed my mane, brushed my teeth, and put my glasses on. My body was ready but my eyes weren't they were still half asleep. I looked over at coco who was sleeping on a wooden pole next to my bed. “Wake up cocoa today is the day” she heard me mumbled a bit and got up. I walked over to her and she wrapped herself around my neck like it was a branch. I went downstairs and to the kitchen to get some breakfast but when I opened the fridge there were no apples in it. “Strange I swear I ordered a whole bucket yesterday” I closed the fridge door and opened the front door of my house. I was greeted by the warm sun and some ponies walking around doing their daily routine. Some ponies noticed me and waved I waved back to them and finally made my way to the source ponyville's apples. Sweet apple anchors. I arrived at the entrance to the farm and already saw my good friend applejack kicking away at an apple tree. It was like magic whenever she kicked the apples fell exactly where she wanted them to. I walked over to her “good morning aj” I said with a wave. She heard me and looked over “oh hay ps what brings you here?” I smiled shyly “just needing something for breakfast because I'm all out of apples” She grew suspicious “didn't I give you a whole bucket yesterday?” Then I remembered what happened “I was feeding the animals from the woods poor things looked so hungry and next thing I know they ate the whole bucket,” I said shyly. She sighed “of course you know you got to keep your sweetness under control” she pushed one of the buckets full of apples over to me “now this one’s on the house since the other was for a good cause but don't go thinking this will happen again understood?” I nodded. Then a magenta unicorn with a lavender mane and six stars for a cutie mark came over “good afternoon my name is twilight sparkle” now this was exciting because she was new here and ponyville doesn't get many new ponies. Applejack shared her excitement by giving her a… body shake? “Well howdy do miss twilight my name is applejack we here at sweet apple acres sure do like making new friends!” she said shaking her and smiling all the while. Twilight, on the other hand, was getting nasus “actually ie-” applejack stopped shaking her. “So what can I do ya for,” she said with the biggest grin I've ever seen. But twilight was still shaking her hoof and needed a…. BABY DRAGON!? To stop her. He had green spikes with purple scales and a yellow underbelly. Twilight cleared her throat “well I am in fact here to supervise preparations for the summer sun celebration and you're in charge of the food” but I didn't hear anything else because I was out of there. I went inside my house put the bucket of apples on the kitchen counter and took out 2 of them and started chopping them up into tiny circles. I then chopped 16 of the circles in half then got some mint gel and put it between the circles of apples and they stuck together like glue. I put them in the oven and waited 5 seconds. I pulled them out then ate one and it was delicious! These were my signature dish implement! Whenever I sold this stuff ponies would be buying them so fast I'd be sold out in an hour! I then walked upstairs and went into my writing room which was a desk in the middle and then a whole bunch of bookshelves full of things I wrote. I sat down at my desk, took out a blank scroll, got a call from a drawer, and….. Did nothing. I completely forgot what I was supposed to be doing! I then looked over to the left and saw a scroll with the royal seal. It was a speech for the festival but what was it doing here? I then read to the bottom and there was my name right next to the words “author”. I then remembered that yesterday when I got the message from princess Celestia I immediately wrote it so I didn't have to worry about it today! And right as I folded it up again there was a knock on the door. I went downstairs and opened the door to my surprise it was twilight but she seemed a lot more grumpy than when I last saw her. She cleared her throat “my name is-” I didn't want to be rude but I already heard her introduction “sorry if I'm being rude but I already know who you are here come inside you seem like you had a bad day” I moved out of the way so they could come in. She sighed “thank you-you have no idea how stressful today was” she walked in with her baby dragon and they sat on the couch in the living room. I went over to the kitchen and started to make some calming tea which guarantees to calm down any pony. Once it was done I put it on a tray along with 2 apple mints and set them on the coffee table in front of them. Twilight smiled at me “thank you” and picked up a cup with her magic and took a sip. I giggled and sat in a chair across from them “it’s no problem at all by the looks of it some ponies tried to make you their friend the second they saw you?” She put her cup down and smiled “you will not believe how jittery the ponies in this town can be. How come you're not like them?” she questioned I smiled “well I learned from experience that if there's some pony new here give them their space to just greet them make a good impression and give them a couple days to settle in” She then noticed the “layout” of the room “are you a writer?” I nodded “I spend at least half of my time here writing books for ponies of all ages to read” She looked at my apple mint “what are those?” I cleared my throat “those are what I call apple mints there like peppermints but instead of having spice they taste like apples with a little bit of mint” She used her magic and levitated one into her mouth she then smiled “wow these are really good! did you make these?” I smiled “indeed I did” I then looked at the clock it was almost 11 “well looks like you should be going we're all going to need to get prepared for the celebration” She looked as well “indeed” she looked back over at me and noticed coco “what’s with the scarf?” I giggled “she’s not a scarf she’s a koala coco say goodbye to the guests” he looked at them made the cute noise he makes and went back to sleep. They got up and went towards the door “thank you for your hospitality miss….” “Peppermint swirl” I answered for them and right before they left I threw them the scroll and giggled “you were too relaxed to do what you came here for in the first place” and then they waved and left. I cleaned up everything that I used while they were here and then looked at the time. It was time for the festival to begin. I reached town hall and went inside to see not princess Celestia, not the mayor giving her speech but none other than the mare in the moon. Nightmare moon.
