Big Sisters Are Always There
Seeking Solace During A Storm
Sweetie Belle was silently sleeping in her bed at night time as it was a while that she was in bed. Her breathing stayed calm as she slept peacefully. She was unaware of the storm that was brewing. Soon there was a loud bang outside and she jolted awake looking around while frightened as her sleep was interrupted.
She couldn't believe that a thunderstorm was happening. She felt terrified by the loud noises from outside. It soon made more crackles outside and started to pour heavily. Sweetie Belle started to hyperventilate. She hated thunderstorms and she had no idea that it would rain that night. She must have missed reports of the weather ponies producing this weather tonight.
There was another large crackle of thunder and she also saw lighting. She yelped and hide under the covers and tried to cover her ears but even the thunder was to loud for that. She started to cry. She was shaking as she fell onto her belly under the covers and hid her whole body in the sheets but that did not work.
She wanted the storm to end as quickly as possible but unfortunately for her that did not look like that was going to happen. She hugged the sheets closer to her she heard another loud bang and cried. Tears fell from her eyes as she was scared. She wished that the storm would stop. It rained heavily.
She felt like she wasn't able to stay in her room anymore and was thinking about going to her sister. She wondered what her sister might think of her requesting to sleep by her. Would Rarity tell her to deal with it and send her back to her own bed or would she allow her to sleep by her.
She was scared of her sister sending her back to her room. Besides she felt like she wasn't going to make it as she was breathing heavily and would probably be overwhelmed by fright of the storm and would possibly faint by exhaustion and being overwhelmed by such loud scary noises.
She contemplated on going to Rarity as she couldn't fathom sleeping alone. If she wasn't going to be able to get to sleep en she would have to ask her sister for help. The only thing was is that Sweetie Belle would feel bad for waking her sister. She didn't want to bother her sister but she was unsure of how much of the storm that she could take before seeing her sister.
Another huge bang was made by the storm she shook in fear and she started to sweat. She felt overheated and dizzy as she had a fear of storms. They were just to scary for her. She needed Rarity and needed her soon as she couldn't take this anymore. Slowly she got out of bed and while silently shaking she walked to her sisters room.
While walking to her sisters room she heard many more noises from the thunderstorm. The house looked completely dark and that made her even more scared in her terrified state. She needed to get to Rarities room. She walked In a quick pace hoping to get to Rarity. Her heart was beating heavily against her chest.
She was shaking and tears were falling from her face. Soon she made it to Rarity. She got to the side of Rarity's bed and pleaded for her sister to wake up as she just couldn't spend another minute alone hearing the storm. Soon her sister woke up and rubbed her eyes. Rarity then used her magic to illuminate the area and looked at her and spoke.
"Sweetie Belle what's wrong?" Rarity asked in concern for her precious sister who had just barged into her Room. Sweetie Belle responded.
"The thunderstorm is scaring me! I can't go to sleep!" Sweetie Belle sobbed. Rarity held her forelegs out for a Sweetie Belle and Sweetie Belle and jumped into her embrace. Sweetie Belle held her with all of her will. Rarity understood how Sweetie Belle was feeling. She wanted to comfort her. Rarity didn't mind that Sweetie Belle wanted comfort.
"I'm sorry it's scaring you. If you want you can sleep with me for the night!" Rarity exclaimed in softly as she smiled. Sweetie Belle's eyes lit up making Rarity smile. Rarity kissed Sweetie Belle on the forehead and Sweetie Belle crawled over Rarity and Rarity made room for her to sleep.
Rarity lifted the covers and Sweetie Belle got herself under them. Rarity levitated a pillow over and placed it under Sweetie Belles head and Sweetie Belle laid down. Rarity then pulled covers over her and then Rarity pulled he covers over her and laid back down as well.
"Is that better sweetheart?" Rarity asked. Sweetie Belle sighed while still sniffling. Her tears were still evident in her eyes. Rarity continued to hold her close.
"Yes it is. Thanks so much I didn't think you would bother." Sweetie Belle said.
"Your welcome and of coarse I would help you out I'm your sister and I love you." Rarity said lovingly. Sweetie Belle hugged her which Rarity hugged her back and kissed her cheek. Sweetie Belle sniffled and wiped her eyes. They stayed like that for a few moments as Rarity calmed her down. Soon Sweetie Belle spoke again.
"I love you to big sis!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed with tears in her eyes. Rarity smiled and then let released from the hug as both sisters laid down. They looked at each other and smiled then Rarity spoke to her sister.
"Comfortable?" Rarity asked as she wanted to make sure her sister was good. Sweetie Belle nodded and nodded. Rarity smiled and extinguished the light in her horn as they both cuddled for a few moments and then fell asleep together. Sweetie Belle was greatful that her big sister understood as she slept in Rarity's embrace. Her fears soon drifted from her mind and now were placed with pleasent dreams of her and her sister.
She was glad that her sister was there to comfort her when she needed it. Rarity was glad that she could comfort Sweetie Belle as they were both happy in their embrace.
