An old kingdom buried under salt, sand, and rubble has been discovered in one of the far corners of Equestria and along with it an ancient, omnipotent being who claims to have once ruled over all its lands.

Though her words are beyond outlandish few have questioned her legitimacy of royal lineage or power potential after confirmation from the sisters, however, many still speculate her true motives for returning. After all, why come home after nearly ten millenniums and why refuse to lead such a nation once more?

But most importantly, why is she so obsessed with a particular Princess of Friendship?

Twilight Sparkle intends to find the answers to all these questions, but in doing so discovers the beginning of the end of an ancient conspiracy- and with it, a crumbling nation...
