Riven Specter, an earth pony with no family or friends, is forced out of equestria for crimes he did not commit, and is abandoned in the wastelands. While he is struggling for survival, the world of equestria falls into anarchy, as the remaining royalty, Princess Cadence is murdered on the throne, like her fellow princesses before her. Wars result, with the power-hungry Twilght Sparkle destroying all unwilling to serve under her, backed up by rarity and Starlight Glimmer. The young Flurryheart, guided by applejack and rainbow dash, is attempting what remained of the original kingdom. In desperation, Flurryheart requests help from all ponies, even the expelled, but Riven is reluctant to return to such a fickle society.
