//-------------------------------------------------------// A Different Type of Princess -by Gabrielangel13- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Historical Revisionism. //-------------------------------------------------------// Historical Revisionism. For an immortal, how long is a millennia? Depending on who you ask, the answer changes. Had you asked Celestia, most elegant of the Alicorn princesses, she'd have informed you that her world ended. Without her sister, she became alone, a goddess among mortals, with none to understand her. To her, a millennia was an eternity. Had you asked her sister, Luna would slip into silence. Princess Luna would slip into an uncomfortable silence. After several minutes of scarred memories flashing through her psyche, she'd have given you a very simple, short reply. To an immortal, a millennia is hell. Luna slashed forward, her twin katanas clashing loudly against Nightmare Moon's longsword. The 365,250th sun-rise pulled hard against Luna as she struggled to keep her moon in place. Nightmare wasn't weak enough, it was too soon! "Do you feel it, Luna? Do you feel this prison breaking? You failed, Luna! Equestria will be mine!" Sharp teeth glinted in the reflecting sun. Luna winced at the pull to her soul, a desperate attempt to pull her back to the physical spectrum. She flared her wings, flapping backwards. "A millennia, Nightmare! Don't you regret any of it?" Luna demanded, flipping her swords into a defensive position too late to stop the dark mare's palm from wrapping around her neck. Blinding light replaced the darkness they'd been succumbed to for a thousand years. "Oh, trust me Lulu, I'm just getting started." Luna squeaked as the world solidified and Nightmare slammed her against rough marble, the grip Luna'd held on her katanas for over a millennia slipped and the two clattered against the ground. "You...you can't...Celestia..." Nightmare Moon's laugh cut into Luna's protests. "It took yourself and your sister at full strength to lock me away the first time, what makes you think you can do it now?" "We're not alone this time, Nightmare." Luna grasped for her swords, rolling out of the way and gentle arms helped her up. She blinked several times, trying to take view of her sister and their companions through the blinding light. Her sister, taller and dressed in far more regal attire than last Luna had seen her, held her battle axe tightly, ready to spring. Beside her, an alicorn Luna hadn't met before held a bow at the ready, but she had to toss multi-colored hair from her face. A purple Unicorn stood on Celestia's other side,  tattoos glowing slightly in preparation of a fight. "Captain Armor, get my sister to safety." Celestia ordered. "No." Luna straightened up, drawing her swords in to a defensive stance. "Only a weapon forged of the moon's core can defeat her."
