I’m so excited to see you next week! It’s going to be so awesome! Figured we can play some basketball, maybe do some snowboarding. Then when you want to relax, I’m bringing some home made hot chocolate and marshmallows that Pinkie Pie made for us. Anyways, gotta go. Just wanted to send you a quick letter. I truly hope you’re having fun with Mother and Father. We will get our time soon enough though. I talked with them, and they agreed to take you here, instead of me picking you up over there, and having to go all the way back. Sorry darling, but that sounds dreadful, to have to make that long trip twice in three days. We’ll I suppose there’s not much for me to say, except that I love you, Sweetie, and I will see you next week.

Dear Shining Armor,
I really wish you could be here with us, but we know you’re busy in school. Besides, spring break isn’t that far, we’ll see you then. You’re honestly not missing much. Dad tried his hand at making cookies...long story short, the neighbors called the fire department. Everyone is alright though, and we should be able to repair the damage no problem. Now if I can keep Mom from trying to do all the kiddy stuff with me, that would be a miracle.
Cadence says hi. She stopped by to give me a little teddy bear with the Crystal Prep logo on it. She said that even though I don’t have the greatest memories there, I shouldn’t forget where I started, and how I ended up where I am. I know it’s cheesy, but hey, it’s Cadence. Can’t really do anything about it.
Sorry, but that’s all I can say right now. It’s dinner time. I, or rather we love you so much Shinny, and we’ll see you in a couple months. I’m already planning some fun stuff for us to do during your visit. I was debating sending you the list, but I decided against it, due to things may change. I don’t want to get your hopes up. You know what, forget I said anything please. It’ll be fun though.

Hey, it’s been a while. Life has changed a lot since ah last saw ya. Made a ton of new friends, and even got ta meet a princess. Ah now have magic now also. Not quite sure how it works yet, but ah know Sunset and Twi will figure it out. Let’s hope it’s before the end of the world though.
Ah miss ya Grampy. Life still aint the same without ya. Holidays seem ta be the hardest for us Apples, considerin’ how much you were a part of it. Like that toy train that you had round the old tree. Ah remember you yellin at us for knocking it of track. Didn’t know if ya knew or not, but we soon figured out how ta do it myself. We must’ve knocked it off fifty times, without ya realizin. Then we’d all snuggle on yer bed, and watch the classic movies.
The holidays now seem more...mandatory than fun now. It’s almost somethin that we dread. Things’ll get better though. Ah know it. As long as one of us keeps the holiday spirit, ah know we’ll get through it. Still aint the same without ya…
But ya know how the sayin goes “When one door closes, another one opens”, and it’s true. Naw, we don’t have the same traditions we did as kids, but we creating new ones now. Thing’ll work out. They always do. I love ya Grampy, and I hope you always know that. I’ll see you again one day.

I hope you all are doing good. I still wish I could be there, but I just couldn’t get the time off of work. I hope you all forgive me. I’m super duper excited to see you all! I made a whole bunch a yummy treats for us. Cupcakes, rock candy, muffins, hot chocolate, marshmallows, and I also got some apple cider from Applejack. I know it’s not traditional, but I thought it would be a lot of fun! If only I could get there sooner than the week after, but the holidays are the busiest time of the year for the store. I’ll make it up to you. I love you all, I can’t wait to see you! I’m already planning so many activities for us to do! I got games, extra batter for baking, I bringing some of my new party equipment to show you all also! Oh, I know! I’ll throw you a “I’m sorry we had to postpone Hearths Warming, but I hope it was worth the wait” party! I need to go plan now…

It’s been awhile, huh? I’m not even sure where to start. There’s so much to say. My friends and I decided to write letters to our loved ones for the holidays. I don’t have anyone except my friends over here though, and that’s one thing I can’t change. I have friends, and I still have enemies, There’s love everywhere, but nothing will ever be the same as the motherly love you showed me for all those years. I think about it every night. You’re soft voice, the gentle kisses, and the way we used to snuggle. I’d always fall asleep watching the stars with you, and then you let me sleep in your bed with you. Wow...that came off a lot different then intended, if somepony were to read it out of context. You know what I mean though. Anyways…
I’ve learned so much these past couple years. Since I were an idiot and stole Twilight’s crown. I don’t even know what I was thinking anymore. That doesn’t feel like it was me. I was a selfish, inconsiderate, ignorant, power hungry, demon child. I’m also referring to me back when I was your student. I don’t know how I could ever treat you the way I did. I doubt you’ll forgive me, but I still need to say this…
I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for everything I had said and done. I didn’t have the right to do that, and if you never want to talk to me again, I’d understand. I don’t even know if you’ll read this far in my letter. I have to get it out though. I was just a stupid idiot, and I hate myself. You were like, you were my Mom. You didn't deserve that, and there’s nothing I can do to make it right
I understand what you meant though. No matter how much power and money you have, it can never replace true love. Like the love you feel in friendships, and families. Like the love I still feel for you. Even if I never said it enough, I love you. You were always there for me, and I let my jealousy get in the way of that. That is something I still and always will regret. I couldn’t see what I had, and after I lost it, I was nothing. I ended up trying to force people to like me, but it wasn’t love, it was fear and hatred. Looking back, I was awful. Actually awful is too nice of a work. I think demonic wanna-be dictator would fit it more. It’s not something I’m proud of, but I’m working on changing myself.
Things can always get worse, but they will always get better. Just sometimes not in the way expected. I’d love to talk to you, to reconnect. I know it’s a lot to ask to see you again, after everything, and I’d understand if you would say no, or even see this at all, but I’d like it. I just wish there were more I could do to show that I’m sorry. Ink on a piece of paper just isn’t the same as in person or pony, contact. I hope we can start over though.
