CiE: Chapter 2:

Next day: CHS

Sunset Shimmer sat next to the Wondercolts statue- or what remained of it since the friendship games.

She grazed her fingers on the cutie mark emblem on the brown book she used to communicate with the princess Twilight Sparkle.

She sighed as she looked around the courtyard, she enjoyed moments like this. Although she loved her friends dearly, sometimes she wanted her space.

Luck was short for the red head as she soon heard a scream,

"SUNSET SHIMMER!!!" she heard her name being screamed from a mile away as Pinkie Pie was soon jumping on her and lifting her off the ground in a hug.

"Pinkie...pie.... air... I need air..." Sunset gasped out as she was trying to struggle out of Pinkies grasp.

Pinkie chuckled as she lowered Sunset to the ground. "Sorry." She smiled.

Sunset laughed at the girls’ awkwardness when she noticed the sky had gotten significantly darker in the past few minutes.

"Huh, normally rain clouds take a few hours to come around." Sunset noted as she pointed to the sky. When she said this it started raining. But not water as the two expected, but multi-colored sprinkles were coming from these clouds.

"What in the world?" Sunset asked as she caught some in her hands. "Pinkie? You're not messing with the weather are you?" she asked.

"No. That would be stupid. But we should get inside." Pinkie said before the two made their way into the school.

Sunset sighed as she and Pinkie sat down with the other girls at their normal lunch table. “What’s up with you?” AJ asked.

“Nothing, just really tired.” Sunset answered dully.

“Did you SEE the weather this morning?! It was raining SPRINKLES!” Pinkie squealed.

“She’s kidding right?” Rainbow asked.

“Actually no, it started raining sprinkles all over Pinkie and I.” Sunset suddenly looked at the window; the sprinkles had been replaces with “snowing” marshmallows. “Uhh girls.” She said in a shaky voice as she pointed to the window.

The girls looked over in shock at the crazy weather they were currently going through.

“I think ya need to ask Twilight about this sugar cube.” AJ suggested. The other 5 nodded.

“Yea. This defiantly isn’t normal by any means.” Sci-Twi said as she pushed her glasses up her nose.

Sunset leaned over her book bag and started rummaging looking for the book with her cutie mark on it. “Sunset darling, it’s right here.” Rarity said as she pointed on the table next to Sunset’s plate.

“Oh, he he.” Sunset laughed as she took out a pen and started writing in the book,

Dear Princess Twilight,

What’s happening in your end? There seems to be something going on. First it started raining sprinkles and now it moved on to marshmallows. Pinkie is absolutely delighted but the rest of us are unsure of what to do. This screams “Equestrian magic.” But I have never seen anything like it. Any advice on what we should do?

“There.” Sunset sighed as she closed the book. “Anyone got any plans after practice today?” Sunset asked.

“I was going to ask if you all wanted a sleep over at my house but I’m not sure with waiting for Princess Twilight’s answer.” Pinkie said with a sheepish grin on her face.

“Actually, that sounds like a fantastic idea.” Sci-Twi said happily as she clapped her hands together with a bright smile on her face.

Pinkie’s grin grew even more, “Well that settles it. Sleepover my place!”

Time skip!

The seven girls were sitting around in Pinkie’s room waiting for the pizza to show up. AJ and Rainbow were playing the same game they played the last time the girls had a sleepover at Pinkie’s place. And it looked like AJ was starting to kick Rainbow’s butt, again.

Rainbow got frustrated and turned the game off. “HEY! I was about to beat you again!” AJ yelled.

Sunset tried to hide her giggles in her hands but they were growing louder with each passing second. “You know… after all this time… you would think Rainbow would be able to win by now.” Sunset was able to say through giggles.

The two gave a glare. Sunset gave a playful grin back.

Many hours later:

Sunset awoke. But it wasn’t on the floor of Pinkie’s bedroom. She was in the courtyard of the school. But things looked more than a little off. The marshmallow and sprinkles made a slimy past all over the ground. “Eesh.” Sunset thought to herself, “This is more disgusting than Pinkies kitchen after she makes cupcakes.”

“Ohhh she’s feisty.” A voice said behind her.

“Who’s there?” Sunset asked ready to punch anything. She saw a shadow appear behind her but it was gone the moment she turned around. She felt buzzing, the school faded, and she found herself back in Pinkie’s bedroom.

“What a weird dream.” Sunset whispered and then suddenly noticed the buzzing she felt in her dream was her journal.

Dear Sunset Shimmer,

The way you described these things happening; it sounds like one of Celestia’s old enemies, Discord. He is reformed over here. But I didn’t even think there was a discord. The way he can be stopped is with the elements of Harmony but when we fought him he turned us against each other. Watch out for him Sunset. But I know you can be strong. If you need my help I will come over.

Twilight Sparkle.

Sunset starred at the entry from Twilight. Sunset had heard of a villain called Discord as a foal. But she never thought that he would be friends with Twilight and her friends. She suddenly gave a yawn. “Maybe I can tell the others tomorrow.” Sunset said as she fell asleep again.

Well here is the official first chapter! The other is more of a prologue because it’s so short. But anyway enjoy the story as it goes on!
