Chapters I was a LCDR on the U.S.S Lincoln that was heading toward an uncharted planet, one that seeming has life on it. We're not completely sure that it has life on it, but the chances are high, so they sent me and my team with a handful of scientists to investigate the planet. If we do found sentient life, than am to plant a beacon that will send a signal that will alert the U.S.F (United States Federation) of my location.
I walk down the metal hallway that was the U.S.S Lincoln The Lincoln was a very well shaped ship that kinda looks like the ship from Star Trek, but the colors were different from the original.
She was black and blue,the main deck was a tangy yellow, with a hint of black in it. It was the most beautiful ship I'd ever seen. Nothing compares its beauty and I've seen Beautiful ships. The insides were not to be mistaking form the movies. Most of it was dark the only lights were the blue lanterns mounted on the wall.
The lights were limited - five lanterns per room,main deck, barracks, engineer/boiler room and The Department, also known as the science room. I enter the main deck, finding one of my private's and a genetics scientist talking
"Bu-but we need more information about the planet we're heading to. We don't know if the ecosystem will withstand our genetic DNA, we might burn or worse get infected by an unknown disease and die!" the scientist explained.
The Private looked over towards me and saluted before I excused him. The Private was wearing a white tank top and the jeans was a thick-weighted black jeans that has two combat knives on both side of the jeans. The Private was a African american, sporting two side burns on the cheeks and he looked very busy at the moment. I decided to leave him until he'd finished. The Private continues his conversation with the scientist. As for me, I check over the other private's to see if they had everything. I step in the room,seeing the men down around a table playing poker "Aw come on!" Shouted the frustrated private " you gotta kidding me." he complained then as the private was about to speak "Officer on deck!" shouted Sergeant Booker that alerted the others of my presence.
They quickly sat up to recognized me, before getting near their bunk beds standing right near them. I walked over them, circling like a vulture waiting for the small animal to die so that the vulture could eat the lifeless corpse. I looked at Booker, who was standing perfectly still like a true soldier. Sergeant Booker a very respectable man. He very loyal to me and his fellow colleges, he was wearing a white t-shirt and a black with a hint of gray in the jeans.
I stopped at Private Locke who was staring right at me - emotionless like he'd seen things and done things that he's not proud of. he was wearing a white tank-top and brown slacks. After a few moments staring at his deathly eyes that seems to deeper and deeper I broke away.
I then step back so that all the men could see me. "Alright a couple hours away lies our destination. until than, I want every single body in this room ready." I said firmly. "Our satellites confirmed that there are indeed alien life on the planet, but don't know if its sentient. So I say ether sack up, or pack up." I finished
"What did you say sarge?" Private Abram, known also in Russian culture Абрам.
I quickly marched over to the Private who spoken directly to me and said "Could you say that again Private". I looking at him, noting that he was wearing a standard combat vest and a bullet proof shirt with black and grey camo jeans. He a spetsnaz. When in the field he would rather charge in than wait,he's a mean, cold, killing machine. We came up face to face and i could tell that he was not afraid of me and I respect that. It's good to rebel sometimes, but if you rebel all the time you might as well call yourself a traitor, that's what I'll say, but hell I'm no judge, I don't tell who's going to die and who's not, Im a soldier who did his job with no questions.
"What did you say private....what did you say?" I said calmly. I waited few seconds of for the private to answer my direct question.
"I said what did you say...sir." Abram firmly said. His voice so clear that his voice could be heard throughout the ship.
With that I made sure that he was put back were he belong "WHAT DID YOU SAY!.....WHAT DID YOU SAY, YOU KNOW GOOD PIECE OF DOG SHIT IF YOU CANT HEAR ME THAN WHY DON'T YOU GET SOME EAR AIDS FROM YOUR DEAD GRANDMA. WHY DON'T YOU TEAR IT OFF HER COLD EARS....HUH....HUH!" I furiously shouted at the brute who just stood taking it like a true man "Now will you excuse me I got business to attend to." I said smoothly as I walk out of the room.
As I walked down yet again the U.S.S Lincoln, then I stopped I started to think, was I too rough on the guy, no...no It's part of being a LDCR, you got to be rough on them or in battle they will be massacred the second they step on the field and I will not let that happen because I promise their family's that I will return them in one piece and If I lose a less one of them I will not forgive myself ever again. I quickly snap back into reality and continue to walk then checking on the time It was 12:34 pm and I need some sleep I'll need it for tomorrow when we step on the planet that no being step on before.
I was awoken by someone knocking on my door that was right beside me and as I got up I heard someone outside "Sir we're about to enter the atmosphere, we need you to report to the main deck." said the voice behind the metal door I quickly got dressed than opening the door to see a scientist waiting for me outside.
"Morning sir as I said we're entering the planet's orbit." the scientist said as I walk past him I past by the barracks room where the private's were held and found all the beds were empty, I think I saw a shadow on the wall that quickly disappeared. I stopped to see if my mind was tricking me, but finding that it didn't reappeared, I felt a little more assured.
The scientist got my attention. "Sir..are you okay?...you feeling okay..."he asked, with a hint of worry in his voice. he had notice that that my face was drained from colors.
"I'm... I'm fine, let's get to the deck," I said with a hint of fear in my voice.
We'd reached the main deck and at just the right moment to see the ship enter the atmosphere. All my men dressed and ready. I walk over to the large window that offered a good view of the planet, making a sigh " Finally...here." I said to myself, sitting on a chair. I began to chuckling, which turned into crying. I don't know why I was crying, I just had a feeling - having to leave your family at earth so you can explore a beautiful uncharted planet. I looked over to find Booker there, staring at the the planet below
"Heh it so beautiful..huh?" said Booker, looking at me with a small smile upon his face.
I got up, making a couple of grunting noises in the process "Yeah..beautiful." I said turning to him "Are you ready for this?"
He quickly saluted, taping his shoes "Yes sir!" Booker said. man - this guy some how every time I see his face he fills me with confidence and determination, every time I saw his face.
I smiled "Now than let's get down there, I'm already getting tired of constantly standing on the metal ground." I said chuckling.
I met the rest of the crew at the pods that will send us to the planet below " Alright people, into the pods," I said, as i climbed into the pod was shaped like a egg.I could see some of my men enter with me, and after they boarded, we were all were done "Alright, here goes nothing," I said pressing the launch button that was right beside me. We launching towards the planet below.
Ponyville
Twilight was doing her daily reading until she hears a large explosion which caught her attention making her run outside to find the source of the explosion, but to see the townponys looking up in the skies staring at a strange floating object that was floating high in the skies. She didn't think much of the object other than the other ponies as they started to gasp, the thought of the end of the world is nigh, thinking that this is a bad oman.
Twilight on the other hand was quite curious about the object, but she has to be careful the thing is the skies might be dangerous. It could be a asteroid that was ruled out because if it was a asteroid than it would not hesitate but to crash in to the ground like any other asteroids. Twilight past spike who was placing some books on the table that was next to stairs that lead towards the star seeker that was pointing toward the strange metallic object. As she looked though the star seeker she saw the object was spitting in pieces and heading towards the Everfree forest.
She had no time to lose, she have to send a letter to the princesses about this occurrence and what to do about this matter, she turned around to find spike looking at her with a hint of worry in his face.
"Twilight is something wrong?"he said staring at the star seeker "Is their something out there?" he tried to look outside, but twilight tried to stop him but spike was too interested to see what twilight saw, she sigh in defeat
"Spike I don't know what's in the sky, but I have a feeling that Equestria is going to be in trouble, so I'll you to send the Princesses a letter while I'm away can i trust you with that responsibility?" She said spreading her wings. He quickly nodded grabbing a quill and paper.
"You can count on me Twilight." he said, smiling at twilight, who grabbed her things and started to search for her friends.
I looked though a small glass that, to see grassy trees everywhere that means that, we landed in the middle of some type of forest or jungle. I looked back seeing that everybody is up and ready.
"Is everyone okay?" I said to make sure that everybody was ready and okay for the long hike to reach the others
They all nodded, "Aright...counting, 1..2..3..4..wait where's Private Scout?" I said with a hint of worry in my voice. They looked around the shuttle "God dammit we forgot her did we." I said, rubbing my temple, until we heard a female voice in the back of the shuttle.
"Uh I'm right here." said the female voice
I looked past the men, to find a median size woman wearing a combat helmet and a combat suit, she had a 6.5 pulse rifle sheathed on her back, and a .357 Magnum.
"Thank god, I was really not looking forward of going back to the ship." I said, chuckling to myself like It was a joke. " But I'm serious I don't want to go back on the ship."
I press the button which open the latch making a hissing noise in the process. It open and a gush of wind ran past us, sending chills down our spins. I step out, smelling the fresh cool air, feeling the air around my rough skin like it was the first time in for awhile.
I was the first human to step on this planet and It felt great to finally to do something like this, no killing this time.
We made quickly made camp, so we can keep contact with the ship above, after all the work, I laid down right by a tree and fell into a deep sleep.
I woke up, the sun shining apon my face making me cover it. I looked around my surroundings to see my men, sleeping on the grass covering by only their blanket and as I got up, I notice one of my private's hanging on a tree branch eating a apple, a thought came to me.
"Private how did you get that apple?" I asked him as I walked over to the tree, which he was sitting on.
He looked at me quiet startle by my voice, which made him fall than getting up saluting. I withdraw him, "Uh I found a orchard full of apples sir." The private quickly said, without hesitation.
I walk over to to the other Private's "Morning, you maggots, time to wake up!" I shouted, kicking the nearest one."HEY get up, or trust me you wont be able to get back to sleep ever again!"
The private's slowly started to get up one by one, moaning as they get of the cold hard ground. I walked over to the private, who told the rest of the teammates about he's recent visit, the Private started to speak about a near by orchard just south of our location, so I suggested that we stock up on food at the orchard, we don't die by starvation or that no one would complain about lack of food.
We packed things up and started to head towards the orchard, with the private leading the way. I don't know how many hours it took us to reach the orchard, but finally we made it and I'm sure as hell hungry. The Private's started to enjoy themselves, laughing, joking and eventually playfully punching each other. We grabbed quite a handful of apple's and then something caught my eye, movement to tree to tree it was quick I couldn't tell whether I was imagining or real
" Positions." I said, making the others startled, grabbing their guns and getting into positions. " We're not alone boys."
I notice a small yellow thing, behind a tree and by the looks of it, it's scared like it seen a monster. We withdraw our weapons and I got a clear view of the creature, it was a pony, a pony that had a red bow on top of it's head, why would someone put a red bow on top a pony's head. That's when a thought came to me, if someone put a red bow on this little pony's head that means their's got to be intelligent life on this planet.
It started to freak out, kicking the air like it might scare us off, but no it didn't. It eventually got tired of fighting and just started to cry, but not like a animal cry, but like a human child cry, crying for their mama. I was truly astounded by this, I don't really know zoology but I know a pony couldn't be able to cry like that.
"Hey...hey don't cry" I said softly, tried calming it down, but didn't work it just cried more but this time more loud. I eventually had to cover my ear so I couldn't hear it's relentless ear deafening cry.
I told scout to handle this, because she used to be a care taker back home and you know what it did, it stopped crying after she showed it a funny face, can you believe that. she quiet it so fast that you could barely say "Mother." yeah she's so damn fast.
I step right back at it's line of sight and I gasp to find the pony snuggled on scout's legs and by god it was so adorable.
She looked at me "Sir umm what should I do now?" She said, slightly moving her legs, getting into a comfortable position
That when it spoke " Uhh excuse me?" It said, looking at me, It took me some time to process the words that it said. I was about to freak out then I remember what I said, "That there might be intelligent life on the planet." and looks like there is. I told my men to go with scout to set up camp while I convinced the pony to take me to her parents, but to find out that she doesn't have no parents, but her sister and brother take care of her.
" Mah sister's farm is this way." The southern-accent pony pointed at a distanced house. "So uh what's your name?"
I looked at her, smiling kneeling down holding out my hand, she quickly shook it. " I'm John...John Williams nice to meet you." I introduced myself before getting up " What's your name?"
She was about to answer than out of the blue, an voice call out for her "Applebloom!" said a female southern voice in the distance and before I could turn to the voice that called, I was kick, a couple feet away from the so call Applebloom. The kick was so suddenly I swear that could hear a slight shock-wave, but I don't know, It was to fast to hear it.
"Ugh, what happen?" I said as I got to my feet, seeing an orange pony an by the looks of Applebloom, she's arguing with her.
"What do you mean he, it's a strange ape." said the orange pony
"Just look at him, he's wearing clothes...." Applebloom said, before looking seeing that I've been watching them argue about me, the orange pony got into a fighting stance in front of Applebloom.
"Stay behind me." she said waiting for me to attack or something, I completely understand why she's acting like this, protecting your love one's, don't want to anything to happen to the. I used to have a family, but their gone now, now all I have is my career, I guess my family is my career, and I'll do anything to protect it.
" Whoa there, I'm not to harm you or your sister." I said cautiously, showing my hands as I raise it to my head. I don't want to provoke her, because I don't want to get another kick by her, her kick is very strong, I'm surprise.

We had a little talk, about how I got here, I told my name and she told her's, she was pretty friendly. After awhile It got dark, I went back to base camp, telling about the experience I had, I went to bed after I told them, drifting into slumber.
