"Are you ready Twilight, dear?" a purple-haired girl by the name of Rarity asked her best friend, Twilight Sparkle.
"Yeah, lemme just grab my sunscreen and we can go." Twilight replied as she grabbed a bottle of sunscreen.
Twilight and Rarity headed outside of Twilight's house and got into Rarity's Porsche and headed to the beach.
"Twilight, I'm so glad that my designer bikini collection worked out, and I'm glad that Pinkie Pie thought of going to the beach to show them off. I just hope that the guys won't be to surprised by our bathing suits, I don't think they know that when I said, "new designer bathing suits" that I meant bikinis." Rarity said.
"I'm sure we'll be fine, but if it is a surprise, I'd love to see the look on Soarin's face when he sees Rainbow!" Twilight snickered.
"Yes, with that design I was trying to design something that was compatible for sports and swimming, I just didn't think it would be that, showy." Rarity said as she pulled into the parking lot for Crystal Beach.
"But even if they do know that we're wearing bikinis, I bet Soarin'll be surprised once gets a glimpse of the Dash!" Twilight joked.
"If that is the case, poor Dashie'll never live it down!" Rarity said.
"Oh! And if Soarin isn't wearing a water shirt, ha! Poor Dashie!" Twilight said while burst out into laughter.
The friends spotted the others, crowded around the end of the dock.
"Hey guys! Where's Rainbow Dash? Twilight asked as she and Rarity walked over to them.
"See fer yerrself!" Applejack said though laughter.
They parted to show Rainbow Dash's head poking out from the water.
"Hey, Dash, why don't ya come out of the water and sunbathe!" Rarity said.
"No, I'm not coming out! This bikini shows almost everything!" Rainbow said.
"Ha! I knew this would be a show!" Sunset Shimmer said as she walked up.
"Hey Sunset! Glad you could make it!" Twilight said.
"And miss the fireworks? No way! I even brought some popcorn!" Sunset said as she pulled a bag popcorn out of her bag.
"Oh, and we invited Flash to come along too, just to let you know, darling." Rarity said.
"Shoot! I thought I was gonna get away with that." Sunset said.
"Nope, not on our watches!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Darn. Dash, c'mon, I found us a good spot for us all hang out, I already set us up." Sunset said.
"Fine". Rainbow said as she climbed up onto the dock, revealing her very, um, showy, bikini.
The group made their way over to the spot that Sunset had found. Rarity texted the guys where their meet up spot was and got settled.
"You know, ah think this was actually a pretty great idea, Rarity! I'm glad ya did this!" Applejack said.
"Why thank you, darling, wait, who put you up to this?" Rarity asked.
"Rainbow Dash, she said it was payback for what ah said earlier." Applejack replied.
"What did you say earlier?" Twilight asked.
"Trust me, you don't wanna know." Rainbow replied.
"Okay, but next sleepover, truth or dare, I'll get it out of you!" Sunset said.
"Oh look! It's the guys!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Finally, now we won't look so desperate!" Rarity said as she stood up and walked signaled the girls to come with her.
Upon seeing the girls, the guys had the exact same thought at the exact same time.
Oh crap, she's hot!
Both Rainbow and Soarin turned into tomatoes upon seeing each other. Twilight, seeing their faces burst out laughing. Sunset tapped on her shoulder and pointed in the direction of her boyfriend, Timber Spruce.
"You were saying?"
"Well technically, I wasn't saying anything, I was laughing, so, you're wrong! I wasn't saying anything!" Twilight said.
"Well, yeah, but still, you're being kind of hypocritical when you think about it." Sunset said.
"Oh, shut up! It's not like you won't act the same once Flash shows up!" Twilight countered.
"Yeah, well, he hasn't shown up yet! So he might be sick!" Sunset said.
Flash walked up to Timber.
"Does any of this make sense to you?" Flash asked.
"No, no it doesn't. All I know is that Rarity never said they were all going to be in bikinis, I'm not sure if I should be mad, or pleasantly surprised." Timber replied.
"Yeah, me neither. But but poor Soarin, he and Dash are never going to live this down." Flash said.
"Yeah, I'm gonna go talk to Twilight." Timber said as he walked over to Twilight.
"Yeah! I'll go talk to Sunset." Flash said.
"Well, just because a pineapple isn't a real apple doesn't mean I can't call it one!" Sunset told Twilight.
"Well, scientifically speaking, and I know you love science, a pineapple is not an apple despite it's name." Twilight said.
"But I really like pineapples as apples!" Sunset said.
"Um, hey there Twilight." Timber said.
"H-hey there Timber! Ho-how's it b-been?" Twilight asked nervously.
"It's been good, how 'bout you?" Timber replied.
"Pretty good."
"That's good."
"Yep, it's all good."
"Good to know."
"Good."
"Good."
Sunset had seen Flash coming towards her, and had walked over to Rainbow and Soarin, who were still silent, and red as tomatoes.
"Hey, Soar! These three girls your side chicks?" Sunset asked, acknowledging the three other girls with Soarin.
"Oh, no. This is my older sister, Fleetfoot, and two of her friends, Sky Rocket and Indigo Dawn." Soarin finally said.
"And why are they here?" Sunset asked.
"Fleetfoot was my ride." he answered sheepishly.
"Oh, okay, you should probably talk to Dash, I think if she stays like that, she'll faint of not moving, not breathing, and all of the blood rushing to her head from blushing." Sunset said as she pointed at Dash.
"O-okay. Ulp. Hey, Dashie, you wanna go hit the waters and swim for a bit?" Soarin asked.
"S-sure." Dash finally said.
Meanwhile, Rarity and Thunderlane had started making out, in front of everybody at the crowded beach. While Discord and Fluttershy were just talking. Applejack, however, was enjoying the single life, not needing neither Caramel, nor Spike. Or that's what she thought until she noticed both Spike and Caramel running towards her.
"Shit." Applejack muttered as they got closer.
"Hey, Applejack! How's to been? You ready to take me back yet?" Caramel asked.
"Or, you're ready to take me back, aren't ya." Spike said.
"For starters, it's been really nice bein' single, and no, ah am not ready take either of you back. And Spike, ah know you want to be with Rarity, that's why ah broke up with you." Applejack replied.
"But after you saved me from those bullies, I just felt a new feeling around you, and I knew it was love!" Spike said.
"And ah like you as well, but ah know that you only like me because Rarity already has a boyfriend." Applejack said.
"No, but I really do like you!" Spike said.
"Spike, ah want ya t follow year heart and tell Rarity that ya like her, and even if she doesn't, you'll at least have it out of the way." Applejack said.
"So, does that mean you like me?" Caramel asked confidently.
"No, but ah still want to be your friend, and that's all you're gonna get, now both of you, shoo! I would appreciate being left alone." Applejack said.
"But Applejack, we love-"
"AH SAID SHOO!" Applejack yelled, trying to hold back tears.
Indigo Dawn walked over and sat down with Applejack.
"Hey, is everything alright?" Indigo asked.
"Yes, it's all perfectly fine!" Applejack lied.
"C'mon, I can tell when something's up, spit it out."
"Okay, ah really like Spike, but ah know he likes Rarity, and, and, ah just know he only says he likes me so my feelings aren't hurt, but they are, I just wish that he would listen to his hear and not his mind!" Applejack cried.
"He likes you, I can tell." Indigo said,
"But how can ya tell?" Applejack asked.
"Because I watched a YouTube video that gives you the signs that a guy likes you, and Spike shows all the signs." Indigo replied.
"Okay, but ah don't think ah'm ready to get back in a relationship yet, especially after Caramel cheated on me." Applejack said.
"You don't have to. Hey, you wanna come and beat me at volleyball?" Indigo asked.
"Sure, but do ya know I'll beat ya?" Applejack asked.
"Because I suck at the sport!" Indigo laughed.
"Aright, volleyball, here we come!" Applejack said.
Meanwhile, Sunset was sitting down, eating popcorn alone, after not being able to taunt anymore of her friends. Flash walked up and sat down next to her.
"Hey." he said.
"Hey."
"Why have you been avoiding me?"
"You know why."
"The incident?"
"Uh-huh."
"Well, you don't have to let a thing of the past haunt you, you'd think you would've learned that by now."
"You'd think. It just haunts me."
"Well, could teach you how to swim, so we can avoid future incidents, would that help?" Flash asked.
"Sure, I guess."
"And, you can go make fun of Rainbow Dash and Soarin, that'll be fun, right?"
"Hell yeah! Teach me how to swim!" Sunset said as she got up and ran towards the water.
Over all, it was a pretty good day, Twilight and Timber got over the awkwardness, and so did Rainbow and Soarin. Rarity and Thunderlane did things that will never be spoken of again, Fluttershy and Discord got to know each other even more, Applejack let lose and had fun beating Indigo at volleyball, Pinkie Pie Cheese Sandwich played pirates and made sand castles, and Sunset finally learned how to swim. All in all, it was a pretty good day, and all of the guys had certain, other thoughts when they saw the girls.
