Chapters Darkice's Notebooks - Family
My father wasn’t around all that much, I don’t even remember seeing him until he came back one day when I was like 5 years old! He was a grey Pegasus with white wing tips. He had a baddish temper and was sad about my predicament. He expected me like my mother did but he still wished he could change it where as my mother was happy to leave me how I was. My father’s mane and tail where Blue with the odd purple stripe. His cutiemark again described the kind of job he did… He had a silver shield protecting a castle behind it. He was often away off doing some brave and heroic thing.
He worked in the army with the ruler of my time. King Crystal Night. They were often battling the changelings, griffons and stupid equestrians of that time. I believe he was one of the captains all I know is that his job included a lot of killing and battling and I wanted to be like him… I wanted to me the hero my books held. He was fearless and brave and smart and everything I wanted to be… I wanted to change history just like him.
He had an army friend who he brought home often… I mean we all lived in the same village at the very edge of the shield empire… This unicorn was different from others I had seen. He told be the story, the day he lost it… He was a one eyes partially hornless unicorn. I a battle he and my father had been captured and as punishment for something he done received a knife to the eye and a saw to the horn by a horrible griffon. The unicorn was red coated and had a yellow mane and tail. He was fearless as well but was more of an earth pony that a unicorn. His name was Hammer- hood.
When my father did come home he spent most of his time with me… I was the youngest and my Siblings where a good 7-10 years older than me. Apparently only a couple of years before I was conceived my father had joined the army and my other siblings had gotten the attention that I didn’t have from him… I love my father more than my mother probably mostly from the fact I barely saw him growing up and when I did he made my life heaven…
We would go training for hours, play hide and seek among the clouds and just be a father and son. We would collect the ingredients together and Primrose would have some more time with my mother and Moonlight. Once I was in bed, he would come in my room and read me his diary. This diary was filled with everything he did in the army from battling to just stocking the supplies.

I have two siblings both were older than me by a lot of years I don’t completely remember how many but at least 7 year my sister was and my brother was more…
My sister was a Pegasus. She had a white coat with a red and blue stripy mane and tail. She was pretty and didn’t care if she broke a sweat. She had a finish line cutiemark which again like the rest it fits her well she’s an athlete and a good one at that. She has medals and trophies. She loves speed and loves racing me. We always find sometime every day to do a race around the village speeding past the tops of buildings and busting through clouds. She does her bit for the family working to for fill her goals and bring in the big bucks which she pays to mother for rent on staying at home.
She wins a lot of races, small and medium once she hasn’t had a chance to fly with me and father to the arena in the empire to sign up for the Empire games each empire comes together and competes to see which out of the 8 empires is the best in the following events:
All the empires compete in it and it only comes around once every 3 years. The empires are as followed:
Every empire was a war with one of the enemy the changelings, the griffons or the equestrian.
The games would happen and my sister was ready, or she would have been if my Brother would stop trying to feed her his cakes…
He didn’t pole dance for competing purposes he just like to do it for performance reasons he earned a lot for it as well I would watch him practise his performances in the basement of our home Father had helped him add a pole and a few lights to the unused part of the house. Mother and father expected his way of life like they did me.
My brother was engaged to this lovely mare. She was red coated with a lovely Black flowing main and tail. She worked in the empire as a fashion model and she sure looked good as well. They planned to get married and they did… I was present as was the entire village. I loved my brother and sister they would always support me in my time of need and I did the same back anyway I could.

So I am different from the rest of my family and all of the 8 united empires… There is no other like me that I had seen until a fateful day. I didn’t know what I was and no one knew what I was… I was bullied and told I was a demon. That I shouldn’t exist and I should die. I am a Black coated earth pony with purple tipped wings and a unicorn horn. I have a Black mane and tail with streaks of purple and blue. I have red eyes and a huge slash down my body from my neck to my flanks on both sides and I was born with it. It’s not special affects or makeup. No magic or anything it is a part of me for some reason… For the longest time no one knew why I looked like I did and why I had it.
I tried to help my family with everything I could and ignore the bullying as best as I could. It all changed when the war ended between the 8 empires and equestria… 2 things that look like I do one white coated and one Dark blue coated apparently came to earth and wanted to stop this war and that the 8 untied empires should join equestria… The Crystal Empire accepted but the other 7 refused. My family and I were in our empire when the sisters arrived and they walked through the streets with their wings out and horns held high. My father desperate to find out what I was pushed past the security and went to the 2 mares. I remember both mares looking shocked then my father calling me over. I walked out of the crowds with each step I spread my wings more until I had my wings out wide and the mares could clearly see what I was.
I asked them what I was there simple reply was: You’re an alicorn and the pony we need right now, bring your family and follow us. I and my family followed and spoke to the 7 empire rulers who didn’t want to join the equestrians. An agreement was held that there would be an alliance between the 7 united empires and the 2 equestrian princesses under the new King Darkice.
My name IS Darkice and there are many other Notebooks like this one I wrote many but this was just the beginning…

So as the sisters explained I was immortal like them I could be killed but it would take a lot of power to do so… Of course the day was going to come when my family died and I was left in the world with-out my parents and siblings. They did but thankfully no all at the same time there was a span of about 2 years in that time the 4 of them would be gone forever.
First came my father and I actually have no idea what he died from and we didn’t get to say goodbye all we got was a letter…
Dear my family,My daughter – I love you very much and I’m sure you will do fine in your upcoming empire games.My 1st son - Keep the dancing going your are amazing, I wish I could taste your cakes instead of the rubbish these birds are feeding us. Love you very much.My son - who is Ruling the very earth I fight for… I love you very much and I’m sorry I failed you as a solider and as a father I could have been there more… I thought I had more time with you. Please forgive me…My beloved - I’m sorry to have to give you the stress of the children on your own. You’re a strong mare and I love you very much.
My Mother came shortly after my father’s death letter, Depression didn’t help. She got a heart disease and died in bed one night. She was found by myself. I came home to see her and she hadn't moved from her bed for about 15 hours I had estimated.
My sister came about 13 months later she was visiting me in my castle it was a short bit away from the main shield empire an entrance from the empire went thought these big gates and winding pathway with rolling fields of grass and flowers stretched around as you could trot or take carriage to my front gate at the entrance to my castle. As she entered the gates I trotted down the long path to meet her, talking to my advisor. An arrow was set off I watched in horror as I saw the arrow go in her front and blood came out. She collapsed and died later that day…
My brother was the last to die but I attend another death before his, His wife was killed on stage when she was on the catwalk. Weird and suspicion circumstances. I went home about a week later to find a note and my brother hanging from a rope… he had committed suicide apon his wife’s death. Along the note there was a letter of blackmail… why his wife was killed, she was targeted because she was related to the ‘king of the empires’ and wasn’t meant to die just be placed unconscious as part of a deal. His letter read.

Darkice's Notebooks - Family
My Mother was the kindest person in my life. She cared for me and my siblings very much. She loved us all exactly the same but she was confused and more worried with me. I wasn’t a bad foal or a hurtful foal. I was small innocent and carefree… Like most foals about 1 year old give or take a few years… She was a unicorn, she was black coated and had feathers, her hooves were a little cracked but that was always the same with her. Her mane and tail were red with a white stripe through the middle. My Mother’s cutiemark fit her of course, it was 3 flames with a few smaller ones around it, and it was dark red.
She was a fluffy coated mare, originally but that had to be shaved and her mane and tail cut everything had to stay as short as possible. This was because my mother was a fire wielder. She would be the one to go around lighting all candles and fires in the village at night. In the morning however she worked in the family bakery. She enjoyed her jobs and most ponies loved her. She made the best bread and rolls. Her cakes were pretty good as well but my brothers were better… She stopped working in the bakery at about noon. She would then go and meet her friends.
One of these lovely mares was the family’s deliverer her name was Primrose. She was pink coated Pegasus with a pink and while mane and tail. She delivered the bread and cakes to our customers who had ordered that day. Then later in the afternoon she would fly with me to the factories to collect the ingredients to make everything for the next day. We would laugh and joke for a grown mare she sure did have a lot of fun!
My mother’s other best friend was Moonlight; she was just a really good and old friend of my mothers. Mother would tell me of their adventures as fillies. What it was like to go to school. What they did after and everything else. I loved listening to my mother. My other siblings didn’t really care they had their work to do and hobbies. Moonlight was a Pegasus; she had a dark blue coat with a silver mane and tail. This mare lived up to her name she even sprayed glitter in her mane to make it look shimmery. All 3 of these mare where slim and worked out regularly. My mother only had these 2 mostly because of my father being away.
My mother enjoyed her laughs with her friends before coming home to us children. She would cook food and read me a story asking how my day was and that I would find a way to stop my bullies soon.
Once we were all in bed my mother would take about 15 minutes to writing her day in her diary. She kept it hidden from us all but she told me she had it. Apparently it had some incriminating information in it… Still to this day I have no idea what that information was…
