The Wedding

Previous Chapter

One Month Later...

Mist spun her gun on her desk in sheer bordem, her head resting in a hoof which was resting on the table. She let out a sigh as the door opened.

"Boss?" asked the colt.

"What?" asked Mist, eying him.

"The tenth search team came back." He hesitated. "They found nothing."

Mist slammed her hoof on the table and stood up. The colt backed up a step or two.

"This... is BULLSHIT!!!" she yelled furiously.

"I-I'm sorry, boss." said the colt, backing out of the room in fear.

Mist followed him out. All the colts in the area watched her.

"It's been one fucking month..." she said, glaring at the frightened colt. "ONE MONTH!!! AND NOT ONE SIGN OF THOSE FUCKERS!!! WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY??!!!" she yelled.

"I-I'm not s--"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!" yelled Mist, pointing her gun at him.

Just then an orange unicorn colt with a red mane came running into the warehouse.

"Boss! Boss!" he yelled.

Mist looked over at him. "WHAT??!!!"

The colt slowed to a stop, seeing that Mist was in one of her moods.

"We found them." he said.

"You what?" asked Mist, not believing her luck.

"The eleventh search team." the colt said. "We found the ponies you've been looking for."

Mist put her gun away and quickly trotted passed the colt.

"Wait." said the colt. "Where you going?"

Mist stopped and turned to face him. "I'm gonna kill them."

"I... have a better idea."

Mist's eyes narrowed as she slowly trotted towards him.

"Oh?" she asked. "Then, by all means... Do share."

The colt gulped in fear. "U-Uh... Well... As it turns out... the colt that stopped you and the mare you were searching for... They're... getting married."

Mist stopped in front of him. "What?"

"Today, actually." said the colt.

Mist looked off to the side. "They're getting married..." She hesitated. "This is perfect." She looked at the colt. "What's your name?"

"C-Core." said the colt, surprised my Mist's question.

"Well... C-Core..." said Mist. "I want you to assist me."

"Really?"

Mist nodded. "Let's go."

"Right now?"

"I've waited... a long time... to kill them, Core. I'm not waiting any longer."

"How about another three hours?" asked Core. "The wedding doesn't start until then."

"So?"

"Think about it..." said Core. "You crash the wedding... Their happiest moment ruined..."

Mist grinned. "I like the way you think, Core." She let out a little chuckle. "I know just the thing." she said, smiling evilly.

3 Hours Later...

Thunder stood at the altar. Candy and Winter were in the front row, smiling at him. Thunder smiled back when the wedding music began playing.

"This is it." Thunder said to himself.

The doors opened and Plumsweet stepped through, walking down the aisle. The only ponies in the audience were Candy, Winter, and a few random ponies who decided to watch. Plumsweet headed up the steps to the altar and stopped at the top, smiling at Thunder.

"Mares and gentlecolts..." the minister began. "We are gathered here today to celebrate the union of Thunder and Plumsweet. The strength of their commitment is clear. The power of their love, undenia--"

Before the vows could be finished, a shotgun blast echoed throughout the chapel. All the ponies turned and looked toward the exit. A purple mare was standing in the doorway, a scowl on her face.

"So sorry to interrupt." said the mare, walking down the aisle. "But I have some unfinished business with the bride and groom."

"Mist?" asked Plumsweet. "How'd you get out?!"

"Oh, it wasn't that hard." said Mist. "I never actually made it to the prison, so... that helped a lot."

Mist stood at the bottom of the steps, looking up at Plumsweet and Thunder. She aimed the shotgun at Plumsweet. Thunder attempted to tackle her, but the mare whacked him with the gun, knocking him off the stage.

"THUNDER!" yelled Plumsweet.

Mist slipped behind her and put a hoof around her neck. "You're coming with me."

She tried to move her but Plumsweet wouldn't budge. Mist let out a growl and threw her down the steps. She rolled across the floor a bit and looked up at Mist. The purple mare stood above her.

"As I was s..." she stopped when she saw a colt making a dash towards the exit. She raised the shotgun and fired, taking the colt's head off. All the others cowered in their seats as Mist turned back to Plumsweet. "As I was saying... you're coming with me."

Plumsweet let out a whimper as Mist dragged her out. Thunder looked up.

"Plumsweet?" he asked. He tried to stand but he had sprained his leg. "PLUMSWEET!!!"

Mist disappeared out the door. Thunder began crawling towards the entrance.

"PLUMSWEET!!!" he yelled again.

Winter got up from her seat and ran over to him. "Thunder! You okay?"

"PLUMSWEET!"

"Thunder, look at me." said Winter, grabbing his face and forcing him to look at her. "We'll get her back. I promise. But first you need to get your leg looked at. You'll be no help to her if you can't even walk."

Thunder hesitated but nodded. "You're... right..."

"Let's get you to a doctor." she said as Candy came over to help.

The wo mares helped carry Thunder out the doors and into their car. Candy stayed in the back with Thunder and Winter got in the driver's seat. Thunder didn't ssay a word. He just stared at the floor.

"We'll get her back." said Candy.

"Yeah..." said Thunder.

"And who knows? Maybe the cops'll have a nice reward for bringing Mist back a--"

"Candy..." said Thunder. "When I find Mist... I'm gonna tear her fucking head off."

Candy closed her mouth and looked away. "I understand."

"Thank you."

Winter looked in the rear-view mirror at them briefly.

"So, what's your story?" asked Thunder.

"Who?" asked Candy, looking at him. "Me?"

"Yeah..."

"It's a long story..." said Candy, looking away.

"We have time."

Candy looked back at him and smiled. "Okay."
