The show
I am now
Load Full StoryLyra was packing bits into her saddle bag for snacks and to buy the tickets she had ordered and reserved for Shadow Rifts new show. When she was done with her bits, she decided to take down one of the couple posters off of her wall of Shadow. She grabbed a pen off of her dresser which was usually messy. Lyra got one of the passes which let her go back stage after the show and talk with Shadow Rift. She then tossed that into the bag as well. Her roommate Bon-Bon came into her room.
"Are you sure you want to stay bestie?" Lyra asked the cream colored mare standing in front of her.
"Yeah, I remember last time I went to one of that guys shows, The ponys their got really pushy." Bon-Bon said concerned. Lyra nodded. She then closed her bag and grabbed her bus ticket. She trotted over to her friend and gave her a sweet hug. She walked out of the room and grabbed the house keys. Then walked out of the house.
Lyra was already out of the house when she saw a small line of people at the cloudsdale bus stop. Lyra was 15 minutes early for the bus. So she used her time wisely and started to think of things to say when she saw Shadow. Lyra was thinking so hard about this that when the bus got there it almost left without her. Lyra was pretty embarrassed when this happened, so she shook her head and walked to the back of the bus.
"Excuse me miss?" Said the bus driver. Lyra turned.
"Ticket, please?" He asked. Lyra could feel her cheeks heating up like a stove on medium. She walked over their and gave the stallion her ticket. She then walked shamefully to the back of the bus. Lyra wanted a seat all to herself. When the bus was driving to the next bus stop to pick up other possible fans of Shadow, she thought of how much she wanted to go back to her sweet roommate. She thought that if Bon-Bon came along, she wouldn't have had the two embarrassing things happen to her. Bon-Bon always reminded her of things before Lyra forgot. After 15 minutes of guilt, the bus stopped to the next bus stop. Most of the seats were taken. A stallion walked over to her. He had a black jacket on him and his hood draping over his head. Nobody really noticed him. Lyra saw the red on his black coat that the jacket didn't cover up. Lyra was going to have a panic attack.
"Oh no! He's coming twords me! Do I smell bad? Oh shoot what if I smell bad... I should of put more deodorant on today-" she thought. But it was to late. The stallion sat right next to her. He then moved over a bit.
"Sorry... am I squishing you?" He asked. "I wouldn't mind if you did..." Lyra thought.
"No... its fine! Hey..." Lyra broke into a whisper. "Are you Shadow Rift?" The stallion paused for a bit and thought about this for a second. He then responded with a small head nod. Lyra had eyes as wide as apples. She then breathed in and out.
"I just want to say that I like all of your shows! Ever since you started I went out with my friends and saw your shows. I love your stunts and face-" that's when Lyras mouth took control of her and she stopped talking. Her face was as red as the streaks in Shadows mane. Shadow smiled at her.
"Heh... thanks... I wasn't that good with the stunts I could do when I was a teenager, but thanks for the support! Oh... and thank you for the compliment on my... pretty face." Shadow said in a mocking tone. Lyra couldn't contain herself from all the embarrassment surrounding her. She mentally pounded her head against a wall.
Lyra kept thinking of how lucky she was to finally hit it off with one of the famous ponys she actually liked. She also kept thinking how unlucky she was meeting him like this. Lyra then told Shadow something's she was doing in her life, and he did as well. Shadow still had his hood over his head, so nopony could see him but Lyra. The two kept talking and then Shadow started talking about what he did before he was a stunt colt.
"I was always a thrill junky at heart, so even before I did things like go almost 50 mph flying down, I always jumped off cliffs and at the last minute I flexed my wings out and darted forwards and up. My parents weren't the happiest about me doing these 'risky' things... I never listened to them and now guess what... I'm doing it for a living." Shadow said with a slight chuckle. This made Lyra laugh. Lyra was happy she finally got to meet the stallion with such a funny personality. This made her think of how she wished Bon-Bon was there right now... Lyra sadly told Shadow about how Bon-Bon couldn't make it to the show.
"My best friend and roommate couldn't make it... in sure she would have loved to meet you!" This made Shadow Show some concern in his face. "What's wrong?" He asked.
"Well, last time we went to your show a couple of fans decided to get into a fight with us saying we 'stole' their seat. We offered to move and apologized at least 1000 times and they didn't forgive us. We then said sorry one last time and that's when they started pushing us. Bon-Bon didn't exactly find this... fair. So she started pushing back and I finally separated the two. We had to leave immediately." Lyra said shrugging. Shadow frowned.
"That's messed up! I'm terribly sorry for this, and I wish I was their to break up the fight. Listen, some ponies are just naturally rude, and don't take sorry for an answer. Next time that happens just leave them alone." Shadow Rift said. Shadow ran a good up his neck,
"So how old are you?" He asked.
"I'm in my 20's," Lyra said as a tiny blush ran across her face. "So... are you taking anyone to the show today?" Lyra asked. She would have exploded if his arms wasn't around her shoulders. He put a hoof under Lyra's chin and turned her face to his.
"I am now," he said with a small peck on her lips
