Is what I would like to say... sadly though, after months of the CHS Musical Event; we fought off a new threat called the sirens. I haven’t seen news nor hair of them ever since then; school life has been normal, being with friends, the life of a student. Now... after seeing how the sirens were taken away from their home... it just reminds me of why I’m here in the first place. I made some great friends while I’ve been here, but it’s no excuse for the things I done... That reminds me of one old friend I met when I first came to this world... he was... interesting... but I met him that one time sadly, and... I wonder if I’ll ever meet him again. I hope to meet you again, and maybe we can hang out some more without... you know... anything weird happening out of the blue. From your student and friend, Sunset Shimmer “Done, I wonder how Twilight is doing back at Equestria? Well, she’s a princess so she must be very busy and doing a lot of important work,” said Sunset. Sunset sat alone as she leaned against CHS’s statue; after finishing writing her recent letter to Princess Twilight Sparkle. It has been couple months since the siren incident and the three sirens haven’t been spotted since then. Our heroines have one and are enjoying their lives... however, it seems Sunset is a tad homesick. “HEY SUNSET!” Sunset looked where the source of the speaker came from; at the entrance of CHS was Sunset’s closest friends, this world’s Mane 6... well except without Twilight. Pinkie waved happily at her friend, behind her were Fluttershy who held her pet bunny, Angel. Among them was also Applejack and Rainbow who were currently talking about one of their many competitions with one another. Finally was Rarity, wearing something either she found interesting at the mall or made it herself... it could be the latter... maybe... “Oh hey girls!” said Sunset, waving back at Pinkie. “We’re heading to Sugarcube Corner, you wanna come?” asked Pinkie. Sunset looked at her journal until she placed it away into her bag. Picking up her belongings she followed her friends to Sugarcube Corner. “Sure, let’s head off now,” said Sunset. The six friends headed off after a day of classes at school; the life of student. Once arriving at Sugarcube Corner, the building was filled the brim with energy as people talked about the latest events today, or past memories. Sunset and her friends sat in a corner of the building, talking to one another about their day. Applejack noticed Sunset’s quiet form, and tapped her silent friend on the shoulder. “Something wrong, sugarcube?” asked Applejack, a friendly smile upon her lips. Sunset looked at Applejack a little stunned, but continued to stare at her unfinished milkshake. Swirling the drink with her straw, Sunset stares out the window into the sky. “Just feeling... a little homesick...” said Sunset, sighing. “What you mean Sunny? Your already are at home,” said Rainbow, placing both her hands on the back of her head. “Rainbow dear... you must remember Sunset is from... well... from the same place Twilight is from too...” said Rarity. “This isn’t her ‘true’ home.” Rainbow stopped smiling and began to grin in attempt to apologize for her mistake. “Sorry, I forgot,” said Rainbow. “Hehehheheeeee...” Sunset turned to looked at the worried expressions of her friends, and smiled back in return. Finishing the rest of her milkshake, she sits up properly and tries to change the conversation. “It’s alright, but maybe when Twilight comes by again... we can do a picnic of sorts maybe. It be a nice idea to do something for the weekend,” said Sunset. “There’s the Sunset I know,” said Applejack, patting Sunset on the back. “I could bring Granny Smith’s famous apple pie!” “Oh oh oh, maybe I could bring some cupcakes, cake, muffins, and-” “Now now Pinkie, this is a simple picnic not a buffet,” said Rarity. “Okay... but I could bring this new cake recipe I made the other day,” said Pinkie. “I could bring some cookies; they would fit perfectly with the season,” said Fluttershy. “Then’s it’s settled,” said Sunset, standing up. “Next Sunday we’ll go for a picnic near the forest on the far edge of town; there’s this nice hill we can eat over. I’ll also see if Twilight could come over, if she’s not busy.” All of Sunset’s friends rose up and placed their hands together in the center; with one hand placed over another hand from one of their fellow friends, they raised them high with a small cheer. “YEAH!” shouted all the girls. All the girls giggled to themselves; Sunset stopped her laughing and looked into the sky and smiled to her reflection. As the sun was setting, all friends began to head to their respective homes; Sunset walked alone under the glow of moon. After an hour of walking she approaches a bricked apartment; the entrance lobby made of marble but showed signs of aging. The counter-top revealed a man wearing a suit; whether the suit was part of the employee dress code or not was the real mystery. “Good evening, Silent Whisper,” said Sunset, greeting the man. The man looked up from a newspaper he was reading; the man gave a warm smile and nod, but continued his reading. The man known as Silent Whisper or many call Whisper was one of the oldest workers in this apartment complex… many could say he could be the owner… that was half true. Whisper’s grandson; Bright Vocals, was the inherited son who was in charge of the long-old building, while his father and mother were given the deserved retirement they needed. The Bright Vocals was a kind soul, and whenever he was seen many would smile… except Whisper; many believe he doesn’t smile when he sees his grandson but, that’s because he must be the responsible figure he is for his age, and Bright knows so and tries his best as role as manager or boss in other words. “Have a good evening, Whisper,” said Sunset, waving goodbye to the old man. Whisper grunted, and lifted a hand to wave goodbye; Sunset walked up to an elevator but saw the “Out of Service” sign and sighed to herself. It’s one of those days… Sunset looked to the door where the stairs were and began her slow climb up. Luckily her floor was the fourth out of the ten there are; reaching her floor, Sunset headed to the last room at the far end of the hallway. Room 30… Home. Sunset pulled her keys and was about to open them when… she heard a familiar voice behind her. “Hey Sunny! Nice day we’re having!” said a bouncy familiar voice. Sunset turned around and was met with a face both familiar and gave some bad memories. It was one of the sirens, the blue one called Sonata Dusk. “Oh hey Sonata,” said Sunset, smiling back. While the sirens did tried to attempt to control everyone; this was the closest thing to food to them, luckily they had enough shards to make one gem. That single gem is the only thing that can make them survive one more day and next and so forth. I only found out a month after their little fiasco that they lived in the same apartment, the same floor, and were one room near from mine… we were neighbors. While at first we started off in bad terms, but one day Adagio Dazzle their leader of sorts said she and Aria Blaze, the one with anger management issues were off to work and none of them could stay to watch Sonata. Surprisingly while they are old enough to not have a guardian watching them since Adagio is 19 while Aria and Sonata are both 17, Sonata acts like a child and nearly burnt down their old home. I remember when she first approached my door the first time those months ago. Two months after “The Mane Event”… “You want me to do what!?” shouted Sunset. “Look… Sonata can’t be home by herself; the only thing I will ever trust her with is the gem that’s keeping us all alive. The last time we left her alone, she nearly burnt down our old place,” said Adagio. “It was an accident...” said Sonata. “Which was; when you spilled gasoline on the burner? Or when you almost put a car battery into the microwave?” said Aria, both her arms crossed. Sonata stayed silent while Aria facepalmed herself; Adagio glared at both of them and returned her focus on Sunset. “Look… I know we haven’t have good… times before-” “Your point?” asked Sunset. “What… I am saying is that… I… need your help… and your the only person… that I can trust...” said Adagio, biting her lower lip. Adagio rubbed her arm; both her and Aria work in the same work environment since it was safer to work together than separately. They both worked in a mailing service which was where Derpy’s mother and Derpy herself work at too. “All I’m asking is for you to watch Sonata for the night; out of the three of us, she’s the most tame… Please… I’m only asking for this one night, after that I won’t bother you… I-I’ll even do something for you in return… okay?” Sunset crossed both her arms, and looked all the sirens until her stare ended at Sonata; Sonata was busy playing with some yarn from Aria… who only got her hands all tied up. Sunset mentally snickered to do and sighed in response. “Alright… only this one time,” said Sunset. “Tha-” “But!” said Susnet, raising one finger up. “I ask you of one thing...” “And, that is?” “...You must apologize to my friends and everyone at CHS,” said Sunset, grinning. Adagio face contorted to anger and frustration until she felt a hand on her shoulder; it was Aria. “Just do it Adagio,” said Aria, whispering. “We’re gonna be late for work soon.” Adagio stare down on the ground, and sucked up whatever pride she had and looked right into Sunset’s eyes and brought a hand forward. “Deal!” said Adagio with resolve. Both the pony and siren in disguise shook each others’ hands a went their ways… right after they left Sonata with Sunset. “Make sure she doesn’t go near anything that can break. An if she wants to cook… watch her every move!” shouted Adagio running to the stairs, since the elevator was broken… the second time. “Oh and make sure she doesn’t go near the balcony and all doors and windows are locked when she’s asleep!” “She sleepwalks!” shouted Aria. “I DO NOT!” shouted Sonata, back at Aria. “Good luck!” shouted both Adagio and Aria. Both the sirens disappeared like the wind… leaving only Sonata and Sunset in the hallway. Sonata looked at Sunset, and began to look at the ground sadly as if she already did a mistake already. “...Are you going to ditch me here?” asked Sonata. Where did she get that idea from? “No no no no noooo! I promised I’d watch I will; come on, get inside,” said Sunset. Sonata was taken back by Sunset’s honesty and accepted her offer. On that day, both Sonata and Sunset gained a close friendship, and in the future both became close friends. Sometimes Sonata would slip out once and awhile and accidentally call Sunset sister; but Sunset was okay with that. Present time… “Are Adagio or Aria home?” asked Sunset. “Well Adagio is at work, but Aria just went across the street to do our laundry; so it’ll be alright for me to stay home for today,” said Sonata. “…Say… can I ask you something?” Sunset raised her brow and listened to Sonata’s question; Sonata began to twiddle with her fingers and sighed to herself closing the door behind her. “Nevermind; have a good evening Sunset,” said Sonata, closing the door. That was… strange… It is Sonata though. Sunset entered her home away from home; it was a small apartment room, with one bathroom, a living room that had a TV installed into the room, a kitchen equipped with a stove, a fridge, a microwave, and a number of utensils and plates. There are two rooms, one with a bed which was Sunset’s room, while the other was empty. “Sigh… What a day,” said Sunset, slumping into the ground. Sunset lay there on the ground, leaning against the door; standing back up, she places her jacket away into the closet and walks to her room. Once entering her room, she puts her bag down and drops onto her bed, face first. By Celestia I’m tired… At least I got the picnic plans next Sunday… which leaves… Sunset looks up and stares at her calendar. Today is Thursday which means I got three days to prepare. I wonder what I should bring… maybe I should go send a message to Twilight… I am tired though, and luckily I have no homework due… I guess sleeping early is fine… Sunset sits on her bed and dresses up for bed; once in her pajamas she looks at the rising moon and the distant buildings and forest at the far edge of town. The view reminds Sunset of the view from Canterlot overlooking Ponyville and the Everfree Forest when she was Celestia’s apprentice. How the days fly by… I wonder if anything interesting has popped up recently back at Equestria? Oh well, I can ask Twilight that… Better get some rest. Sunset sleeps snugly under her sheets, slowly falling to a deep sleep; the moon’s light shining on her sleeping form. In another part of town, in a hilly part of town; Principal Celestia of CHS and her sister, vice-principal Luna sleep soundly in their home… when a door bell is heard in their front door. “Hmmmm? Luna… go get the door...” said Celestia, placing her hand on Luna’s face. Both sisters while having their own rooms were busy watching today’s game… and may have overslept, which resulted in Luna sleeping in Celestia’s room. Luna who shoves her sister’s hand away, wakes up and moves to the entrance of their abode; once leaving Celestia’s room, she opens the front door of their home. “Who’s there?” asked Luna, a tad grumpy. After wiping her eyes of her sleepiness, she stares down and ahead of her to see nothing but the light of the moon and some streetlamps. Luna then notices their mailbox has something inside it; opening the mailbox inside is a single letter. A letter, this late of the day? Luna grabs the letter and reenters her home, after closing the door behind her she sees Celestia already at the bottom of the stares, clutching a small pillow. “What is it Luna? Was anyone there?” asked Celestia, yawning. “No sister… but apparently we may have a new student,” said Luna, having already opened the letter. “Oh?” Celestia receives the letter from Luna and reads it herself, which states… Dear Principal of CHS, I am the principal of Gravity Falls High, and I have sent this letter for two reasons; my first reason is that a… “incident” has happened at Gravity Falls and the town is currently under repairs, while this is happening many of our students have been sent into different parts of the country for education reasons. I have sent one of our students to stay there until the duration of repairs; his name is Uni, a student who’s a third year from our school and one of our best ones, please do take care of him though as his mother… has passed away some years ago through unknown means and has stayed most of his childhood under the care of many of the education board of Gravity Falls. The second reason for this is to have close relations with your school as CHS has been recently been built several years ago and is freshly new; so this is a perfect as a form of student interaction from students of our institution and yours. Hoping that both parties are pleased with these changes. Principal of Gravy Groovy Gravity Falls, Lye Fibbar P.S. Uni has no last name; so sadly he is only called Uni, after the passing of this mother. “Uni? Gravity Falls? Where is Gravity Falls, and how come I never heard of it?” asked Celestia. Luna pulls out her phone and looks for a place called Gravity Falls. “Gravity Falls; it’s a town from Oregon, a population of fifty or so it says. It has a long history of weird events and mysterious surrounding it; it’s also famous tourist spot, and has one such called the Mystery Hut or something. Recently something has happened there and the town has been closed off to tourists and outsiders, until repairs are done… I don’t know Tia… are we sure we should accept this?” said Luna, afraid of the mysterious appearance of the letter. Celestia looks down at the message of the letter, but reads the boy named Uni and his recent past. Celestia frowns but, smiles once putting away the letter in case of future use. “Don’t worry Luna; this letter seems genuine; besides… it seems we’ll be getting a new student soon. We should ask some of the students to volunteer if he could stay with them until we find a permanent place for him to stay,” said Celestia. Luna looks down at the ground and sighs, deciding it’s futile to argue now. “Alright… Well let’s get to bed,” said Luna, walking up the stairs. “Hold on! Your not planning in sleeping my bed now, are you?” said Celestia, following behind. “BUT IT’S SOOOO COMFY!” said Luna, pouting. The next day; it’s the end of the week and many of the students rush to their classes. News of a transfer student spread wild as it’s the number one thing to talk about. Students put their guesses on who it is, where their from, and most of all… Is he or she like their previous new kid; Twilight Sparkle who had to return to her original school… is what Celestia and Luna told everyone. “Did you hear! A new kid is coming to school!” “Really?!” “Yeah, I heard that the new kid is from a place called Gravity Falls.” “Gravity Falls? Never heard of it.” Entering the school at that same time the rumors were spreading was Sunset; walking past a group of students talking about the transfer student, she reaches for her locker. Opening her locker she gets her books until she sees her friends coming down the hallway. “Girls!” shouted Sunset. “Oh Sunset!” shouted Pinkie, running to her. As Pinkie arrived near Sunset, she stopped to a halt and began to speak in such a way, Sunset gave a confused look. “Pinkie Pinkie! One word at a time...” said Sunset. “Now what is it that you want to tell me?” “You didn’t hear! Well, apparently there’s some a transfer student coming to CHS from a place called-” “Gravity Falls; weird name, right,” said Rainbow, interrupting Pinkie. “Yeah, that place,” said Pinkie. Gravity Falls?...It can’t be… could it? Sunset began to ponder about the news she heard, until Rarity noticed her friend’s shocked expression. “Sunset, is there something wrong?” asked Rarity. Sunset sighed, and began to look at her curious friends faces; deciding that it’s best to explain, Sunset leads her friends somewhere private to speak. Once all of them are in the school’s gym, they all hear Sunset’s past when she first came to this world. “When I first came here, I didn’t ended up in this exact place… I found myself in Gravity Falls… Where I met someone; back then my physique changed suddenly making me appear as a young child, possible around the age of 7,” said Sunset. “It all started one summer...” I left my teacher Celestia, and tried my best to survive in this world; but because of my form back then and my lack of knowledge… I was like a filly in a dangerous world… then… I met him. He was a boy by the name of Uni, I assumed he was same age I was back then and we became close friends. Sadly I couldn’t stay at Gravity Falls because… well a kid like me in that world would catch a lot of attention; that was when I found a way back to Equestria and decided to hide the duration back at Equestria and return to this other world. After some years or so, when I returned… instead ending up at Gravity Falls… “I ended up here, and so I became a student of CHS for three years since I first came to this school from grade 7 all the way to grade 9. This is my fourth year here in the tenth grade… I haven’t seen him nor received news of him since; I tried sending letters to him but… they were all returned back to me saying the address doesn’t exist! I thought that maybe…” said Sunset. Sunset sat down on the bleachers, covering her face with both palms of her hands; until she felt something on her shoulder, she looks up to find her friend Applejack. “It’s alright; even though you haven’t seen this fella for awhile, I’m sure that you can become friends with this new guy too,” said Applejack. “Besides, what are the chances it’ll be the same dude you met as a child,” said Rainbow. “Well there’s the chance-” Pinkie was immediately hushed by Rarity, stopped her from ruining the moment. “Don’t worry, were here for you,” said Fluttershy. Sunset smiled and stood up and picked up her belongings. “Thanks girls,” said Sunset. At that same time the bell for the five minute warning for classes rung; all the girls looked at one another then the school. “Well… we better get to class. See you at lunch!” Everyone headed to their classes; as the bell was about to ring Sunset made to her class, English. “Sunset, good you made it.” Sunset’s teacher, Miss Cheerilee began to stand up and get all her students attention. Sunset sat down as everyone else did the same too; the bell rung and school has officially began for the day. “Students, before we begin glass… the rumors of a transfer student are true, and he will be starting the day in our class. You may come in now.” “It’s a guy?” “I wonder what his like?” Sunset was too curious and watched the silhouette of someone walking in… until her eyes began to shrink after recognizing who it was; the transfer student stepped forward, headed to the chalk board behind Cheerilee and wrote his name in chalk. Everyone was confused and surprised by the name… being a very short and strange name. “Sup,” said the transfer student. “Name’s Uni… nice to meet you all.” Everyone was shocked from the transfer student’s attitude that they all thought he was kidding… but everyone continued to stare at the person called… Uni. “It’s nice for you to come to our school Uni; you can sit near...” said Cheerilee, scanning the room for empty desks. “...Sunset! Are you alright with that Sunset?” NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! “Yeah, I’m okay with that,” said Sunset, hiding her feelings. This can’t be happening, not now, not tomorrow; and especially not me of all people! The Uni walked toward his seat toward Sunset; hearing the voices of other students as he approached Sunset each step. After seating down, is when he notices a familiar face; Uni face contorts from confusion to shock, then a mixture of embarrassment in between. You have got… to be kidding me. A few hours before glasses begun; near the town’s train station… “So… this is Canterlot, huh?” said Uni, talking to himself… or is he. Ever since the incident back at Gravity Falls with the whole explosion, I’m surprised the town haven’t blown up or anything. I know things there happen a lot, but that explosion happened because of some kid called… Lipper Wines? Anyway; he was chasing some kind of horde of leprechauns and it ended up causing the newly built power plant to go haywire and go… KABOOM! Now me, and many others from Gravity Falls High been moved to different school across America… sadly I was sent to somewhere that isn’t even mentioned on the map. This… Canterlot place is pretty new; though the town is old, it’s not older than the other towns like Gravity Falls… I think they build this place… hundred? Two hundred years ago? Yeah, I think that’s the number; anyway… The name’s Uni… just Uni nothing else… and this is my new life in CHS; Canterlot High School… This will be fun. “Arriving at Canterlot in two minutes!” shouted the conductor. Another day… Another adventure… Hoo boy… Uni stood up on his seat and headed to the nearest exit of the train. Once stepping onto the train station’s platform, Uni noticing two figures before him; one is of a tall woman her skin completely white, while the other woman was slightly smaller and thinner than the other woman but was equally tall too, who her skin was a dark blue. Both the women stared and stood waiting for someone… that “someone” was Uni. “You must be Uni; I am Principal Celestia and here is Vice-Principal Luna. Welcome to Canterlot; we hope your stay here is pleasant,” said Celestia. “Uh, it’s… good to see you?” said Uni, confused. “Come, we must head to your new school,” said Celestia. Uni was led to a vehicle that was big enough to fit four to five people depending on their size. As Celestia drove Uni and Luna to their destination, Luna explained some things toward Uni from the passenger seat. “CHS while small compared to other schools is well known for it’s past accomplishments with a wide range of clubs and activities for the students and yourself. We hope you enjoy your time here at CHS,” said Luna. “If there’s ever anything you need, please come to either my office or Celestia’s for help.” Approaching the entrance of the school, Celestia drops off Uni; at the same time the school bell rung beginning the start of classes. First day of school… and I’m late. “Do not worry Uni; since this is your first day here, I’ll tell any hall monitors you were with us,” said Celestia. “Have a good day at school; remember, you can find me or Luna at our offices near the entrance of the school.” Celestia drove away to the teacher’s parking lot; Uni turned away from the slowly disappearing car and looked toward his new school… his new life. “You think anything bad will happen?” asked Uni, talking to the air. Uni nodded his head and made a few grunts that sound like his agreeing to something… or someone. “I suppose that might happen… welp; let’s get this over with. It’s not like I’ll meet anyone I know, I am the only one they sent here.” Present time… “Sunset? Is that you?” said Uni, staring wide-eyed. Everyone stared at both Uni and Sunset, the two students looking at one another; both embarrassed and wished they were somewhere else at the same time. Sunset was the first to respond as she coughed and made a few fake laughs to ease the situation. “Hey uh… Uni… It’s… it’s good to see you,” said Sunset, smiling sheepishly. Uni at first had his jaw unhinged in a shocked expression, but slowly turned to one of pure glee. Uni instantly hugged Sunset so tightly and strongly that he lifted her off her seat, causing Sunset her face to burn a bright red. “IT IS YOU SUNNY! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOUR HERE OF ALL PLACES!” shouted Uni, his bored demeanor disappearing completely. Uni realized his own actions and let go of Sunset and began to cough into his sleeve. “I-I-I mean… it’s good to see you too Sunset… H-h-h-how yeah doing?” “F-f-f-fine… How’s Gravity Falls?” asked Sunset. “Oh it’s...” said Uni, trying to think of something. “...Fine… though there is an explosion I was near it when it happened-” “YOU WERE NEAR AN EXPLOSION!” “Whoa calm down, it’s nothing too major, I promise… Well, I was sent flying away a few miles away.” “WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAT!” Both Sunset and Uni began to talk to one another, either shouting or worrying over the other; at that same time Sunset’s friends were at the entrance of her class and were curious of the new kid… they were shocked to hear Sunset knew Uni. “Sunset knows the new kid!” shouted all of the Mane 6. “I KNEW IT” shouted Pinkie, raising her finger to the air. “I thought you said it was a girl?” said Fluttershy. “...Well I sort of knew it,” said Pinkie. “Hehehehehhe.” //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.2 Old Friendship //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.2 Old Friendship Morning classes were ending, everybody was curious of the transfer student, Uni; but before anyone could have the chance to speak with the strange boy… NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE! He ran past the curious students, and began to run outside to the school’s soccer field; once there he hid behind a bush for the time being, contemplating on whom he saw and how long it’s been. Why is she here!? It’s been years and the one place I finally find her is HERE! This is too sudden, I’m not ready… I… I need more time! Need more time for what, partner? Uni then heard a voice both familiar and aggravating to the young teen; ever since he was twelve, a strange spiritual being entered his body when he returned from his summer vacation. Surprisingly though, the spirit and Uni became a perfect match; both beings creating a symbiotic relationship, the other unable to survive without the host… or in this case, the spirit can’t survive without Uni. “Oh for the love of… Can we not do this now; I had enough to deal with so I rather not start the day with your ass,” said Uni, making sure to not shout. Oh come onnnn, we never have a conversations like before; also… I ain’t got no booty, if I did… I SHAKE IT LIKE NO TOMORROW! Uni groaned, having to deal with this annoying but sometimes useful spirit. “If you want to be helpful then, shut up and let me focus,” said Uni. Come on Unister, for once let me take the wheel; I’ll even help you with your ‘girl troubles’. A wink was heard from inside Uni’s mind; this caused Uni to shudder. “BILL!” screamed Uni, immediately covering his mouth. That’s Bill Cipher to you sonny. Uni could see and hear Bill whenever he would appear before him; while Bill is inside Uni’s mind, Bill can create an astral form of his to appear before Uni. Though whenever this happens and the two talk, it appears Uni is talking to the air… and right now, Uni sees Bill wearing the clothing the seniors back at Gravity Falls wear at the retirement home. Uni began to swipe his arms at Bill’s astral form, as it slowly disappeared in the air. Uni then sat down, leaning against a nearby tree’s trunk. How did this even started… A few hours before morning classes ended; Uni sat by the desk right beside his long-old friend… Sunset Shimmer. The two continued to stare at the wall opposite of the other, daring not to take a glimpse of who’s beside them. From outside of the class was Sunset’s friends who somehow were able to sneak away from their classes. “So that’s the transfer student, and his also an old friend of Sunset’s,” said Rarity, baffled. “I thought Sunset never made any friends until she met us?” “Same here too, but it’s good to know we’re not the only ones who’ve befriended Sunny,” said Applejack. “What are you girls doing?” Everyone turned around and gulped in panic; it was Vice Principal Luna. “You better have a good explanation for not being in your classes?” said Luna, crossing both her arms. “V-v-vice p-p-principal Luna, we we-we-were just curious of the new t-t-transfer stu-stu-student,” said Rarity. “We’ll return back to our classes now; excuse us.” All of Sunset’s friends ran for their lives, not wanting to get in trouble with Luna; once they all left, Luna peered in the classroom seeing the new student, Uni. Much of the classroom directed all attention toward him, which he found extremely awkward, making him sweat… or was he sweating for another reason. “Hmmmm,” said Luna. Inside the classroom, Cheerilee gets everyone’s attention and directs her focus on Uni. “Uni; since you’ll be here on an extended time until further news are heard from your school, would it be fine if we knew more about yourself. It be a great way to connect with everyone, and seeing that you already know Sunset… maybe you can talk how you met her?” said Cheerilee, smiling. “Bwah, but… I...” said Uni. Uni sighed and gave up on arguing; setting himself upright on his seat, Uni takes a good glance at Sunset then stares at the ceiling of the room. “It all started one fateful summer day...” I was turning seven that same day, friends of mine were coming to visit my birthday party but, before preparations for my party were being made I took a quick stroll in the forest. Since Gravity Falls is practically in the middle of nowhere, every local knows some parts of the forest that are near town. I was walking down a path near my home… that’s when I heard some rustling near some bushes; I was the curious tike and wasn’t afraid of anything, you could say I was bit of a hard head back then. When looked behind the bushes… I met face to face with another kid… her hair looked like bacon, but it had this sort of warmth to them… like I was staring at a sunset. Nevertheless, that day on I met Sunset Shimmer… “If you got anymore questions, your going have to wait,” said Uni. Uni sits back down and stares at the ceiling; Sunset glances at Uni giving him a happy smile, but immediately shakes her goofy smile away. “Thank you for telling us that small part about yourself,” said Cheerilee, focusing her attention back to the rest of the class. “Okay everyone, I’d like everyone to turn to page forty-two on your books; we’ll continue off where we last left off. Uni, you may read with someone else; I’ll give you your school supplies next Monday.” Uni eyed the whole class, giving them the stink eye here and there, but luckily nobody noticed… that was until he turned his attention to his left. Beside him and was also staring back was Sunset… the two locked eyes until both look apart and began to stare at their own desks. Sunset twiddled with her thumbs while Uni simply laid his chin on the palm of his hand. Come on Uni just ask her, “Can we share the same book together Sunset?”, it’s as simple as that… okay… on the count of three we’ll ask her. One… Two… Three… “Hey Sunshine, can I borrow- I mean, read the book with you?” asked Uni. SUNSHINE! SUNSHINE! I HAVEN’T USED THAT NICKNAME IN YEARS! WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING UNI, STUPID STUPID STUPID! Uni began to facepalm himself, trying to hide the obvious blush on his cheeks. Sunset on the other hand didn’t notice and blushed herself, and spoke back. “Uhm… you said… I… I haven’t heard that nickname in so long…” said Sunset, shaking her head. “I mean, sure… we can share...” Sunset sat up and carried her seat next to Uni’s desk, bringing with her the book. Opening the book to the page that Miss Cheerilee directed everyone to read, at the same time, both Uni’s and Sunset’s hands touch each other. The sudden touch caused the two to make a small noise… well Sunset was the one to make a noise; while Uni simply went berserk and flipped his pencil case off his desk. Everyone stared at the two, but went back to their reading; Uni frowned and rubbed his forehead in frustration. “First day of school and I’m already making a fool of myself...” said Uni, sighing. Sunset smiled and placed a hand on her mouth, subduing her own giggle fit. “You were always the troublemaker you know; never the one to stay put, always active,” said Sunset. It reminded Sunset of her friend Rainbow… maybe Uni would make quick friends with her, and maybe the others too… Once both continued to read, Uni glanced up at Sunset realizing how much she’s changed… how much his changed. Time passed away and before anyone noticed, morning classes were coming to an end; everyone prepared to head to their next class. Sunset sat up and began to pack her belongings away, when she turned around to speak to Uni. “Uni, there’s something I need to tell...” said Sunset. The second Sunset faced where Uni was sitting… his seat was empty; glances at the classroom’s only exit, Sunset could of seen the small glimpse of Uni leaving. “...you. Maybe another time...” Uni walked briskly, slinging his backpack over his shoulder; pasting by fellow students who wanted to know more about him. Uni took a quick turn and was in an empty hallway; the lights dwindled, blinking in and out every few seconds. Finding a good spot to sit, Uni sat down on the floor, leaning against a locker with a loud thud. What do I do? I’ve been friends with Sunset since I was seven, but after she moved towns a year after I met her… Uni slammed a fist against the locker on his left, not making a dent but creating a loud bang; echoing across the empty hall. Sighing to himself, Uni unclenched his tightened fist, rubbing his eyes with the other hand. Standing back up, Uni heads to his next class… not until encountering a familiar face. “Now what brings you here, Mr. Uni?” Looking up, Uni stares back at Vice-Principal Luna… who was currently carrying a large pile of books. “You need help carrying those?” asked Uni, eying the tall pile. “Don’t worry for me; you should be heading to class soon. It be upsetting for Principal Celestia to find you in my office for being late for class,” said Luna. Uni was about to leave, but remembered something from his school schedule. Pulling out a small slip of paper and unfolding it, Uni reads the paper’s contents, before looking up at Luna. “Actually… I have currently have a spare right now; I can eat lunch early or go to the library and study or whatnot,” said Uni, shrugging. “Oh? Is that so, well may I see your schedule for proof?” asked Luna. Uni nods, deciding to hold the books for Luna while she examines his schedule. Scanning the piece of paper, Luna nods and hands it back to Uni. “It seems you do indeed have a spare right now; well since your not busy, might you help me carry these books to the library?” “Sure, got nothing better to do anyway,” said Uni. As Luna carried half the books from the pile, Uni carried the other half; surprisingly though while both carried equal amounts of books… Uni’s felt heavier. What in the stars?! Yeesh, Luna must be strong because I can barely carry these damn things. “Are you alright, Mr. Uni?” asked Luna. “You seem to be… sweating.” “I’m… alright… and please… just call me Uni,” said Uni, struggling with the sheer weight of the books. Both student and vice-principal walked in a steady pace to the library; once arriving they lay them on a nearby table, Uni taking the moment to relax. Scanning the library itself, there are two floors, the first floor holding some tables and circular area for computers, while the second floor held more books. Finding some seats, Uni slumps on them taking the time to rest his back from being nearly split in half; Luna sits adjacent of Uni, pulling something out of her pocket. Uni eyes what Luna has in her hand… until Uni’s eyes bulge out in surprise. “Is that… a Gameboy?” asked Uni, pointing a finger at the purple rectangular device. Luna who glanced at Uni than at the small device in her hands, hid it away and pretended that the device was never there. “What, what are you talking about? I have no idea what this ‘Gameboy’ is,” said Luna. “Heh heh heh heh… heh… hehhhhh…” Uni raised a brow, skeptical to Luna’s sudden change of attitude; after sighing, Luna reveals the device held in her hands. The device was old and was adorned with a number of stickers that surprisingly still stuck; a few scratches can be seen behind the back of it, a memento of the past. “Alright; yes this is a Gameboy, and yes I ‘was’ going to play it right now… Don’t judge me,” said Luna, cradling the Gameboy. “Aren’t you… a bit old to play something like that?” asked Uni. “WHAT!? OLD!? I’M ONLY TWENTY-FOUR!” shouted Luna. “Just because I’m taller than everyone other than Celestia, does not mean I am older than you… well… not old enough to have my hair turn gray, but… you get my point!” “Yeah… sorry for… being a bit rude about your age… Still though, shouldn’t you ban this sort of attitude? I thought personal technology or something like that is banned?” said Uni. Luna gave Uni a strange look until going to a fit of snickering; once she was done she focused her attention back at Uni. “Maybe where your from; there are similar rules like that here, but they’re… not as severe as others. Let’s say… Celestia’s way of teaching is by giving the students to make their own choices; in my opinion we could of done it another way, so that’s why we have an equal amount of freedom and order,” said Luna, explaining. Uni thought of this, until a thought rose from mind. “Or in this case… You ignore anything that may break any certain rules… as long as she lets you play your video games… I’m right aren’t I!” said Uni. “WHAT!? That’s… okay your right; yes I don’t bother to stop some students, so they can decide for themselves. However… if a situation gets too dire, that’s when I intervene… like that one time with Sunset,” said Luna. Uni’s curiosity rose; the mention of his long old friend quirked his curiosity to overdrive. “Wait? Something happened to Sunset?” asked Uni. “Uhhhhhh… well-” Before Luna could finish her sentence, the bell rung meaning it was currently lunch. “Oh look at the time; seems you need to get to the cafeteria before all food disappears. Thank you for assisting me with this… oh and don’t tell anyone this, promise?” Luna opened her hand, awaiting a shake of agreement between both Uni and Luna. Uni stared at the open hand, and shook back. “Yeah I promise; if you promise to tell about this… ‘incident’ with Sunset,” said Uni. “Maybe next week; have a good afternoon… Uni,” said Luna, walking away. After Luna left the library, Uni grabbed his belongings and headed his way to the cafeteria… wherever that was. After seeing some students heading to the same direction, Uni concluded that was where the cafeteria would be. Bingo. Making his way, Uni turned around the corner his fellow peers went… until he encountered face to face with Sunset; behind her were several other girls who gave inquisitive looks in return. “Uni! I-I was just talking, what a coincidence to bump into you. Also, I need to tell you something; so could we eat together at the cafe, it be great to introduce you to my friends,” said Sunset. “Uhm uh, I uhhh,” said Uni, slowly backing away. “Uni? Is… is something wrong?” asked Sunset, giving a worried look. “I’m a… gotta use the washroom!” shouted Uni. Before Sunset could retort, Uni turned back where he came from and booked it like no tomorrow; leaving Sunset in a bewildered look. “...But the washroom… is the other way...” said Sunset, sighing. “His never been this jumpy before girls… I wish I knew what’s changed about him.” Present time And now I’m here; hiding behind some tree, talking to nothing but the air. You wished you were talking to the air. “JUST SHUT IT BILL!” shouted Uni. “I think I heard something; it was coming from there.” Crudbucket! Uni slowly looked over his hiding spot, some ways from where he was the other girls that were with Sunset, and Sunset herself. They all looked around the area, intending to find Uni… but for what though? Looks like your in trouble partner; better think of something… unless you want me to go and- “No Cipher… just… keep quiet, I need to think,” said Uni. Whatever yeah say, I’m out. Instantly, Uni felt Bill’s presence disappear from his mind; Uni isn’t where Bill goes… but right now was a perfect time for Bill to be gone. “Uni? Are you here… I really need to talk to you; if you don’t want to come out then that’s okay...” said Sunset. It’s now… or never… Taking a deep breath, Uni slowly stands up and moves from his hiding spot; standing on the open soccer field was Sunset, behind her were her fellow friends. Sunset turned around and spotted Uni, smiling to see him again. “Uni...” said Sunset. “Hey Sunset… It’s… it’s good to see you too,” said Uni. Before Uni could react, he found Sunset running straight at him, tackling him to the ground; the two found themselves hugging one another… well Sunset hugging Uni with Uni staring in a dumbfounding look. Uni stared at the girls behind her giving happy looks, and a few "Awwwws" were heard. Among the five girls, one with hair that of rainbow simply pointed her finger to her open mouth making a face that one would make if they saw something disgusting. Standing back on both feet, the two long old friends held each others’ hand without noticing. “Uh Sunset,” said Applejack. “You might want to let go.” “Huh?” said Sunset. Looking down, Sunset saw what was happening and immediately loosened her grip where at the same time Uni did the same. “S-s-sorry! It’s just that… I haven’t seen you for so long.” “I can say the same… Sunshine,” said Uni, grinning. “Sunshine? Is… is that you Sunset! SUNSHINE! BWAHAHAHHAHAH!” shouted Rainbow, laughing hysterically on the ground. “It was nickname he gave me when we were kids; it’s not that silly… Is it?” asked Sunset, smoothing her hair with one hand. “Nah, Rainbow’s just surprised you had a nickname… Why’d you never mentioned it to us?” asked Applejack. Sunset stared at her own hand, remembering an old memory long ago. “…It… was something that I didn’t want to remember… A lot happened since I came to CHS… a lot I’ll always regret doing,” said Sunset. Sunset felt a hand on her shoulder; it was Fluttershy, who held her signature kind look in her eyes. Sunset smiled from the kind gesture her friend gave, and loosened her fist and breathed outward. Before anyone could speak any further, a cough was heard from the purple haired girl of the group. “Sorry to intrude but… Maybe it’s best we continue this conversation from inside. Shall we?” said Rarity. The friends headed back inside for lunch, following behind was Uni, Sunset standing close near him. As Uni was going to follow, he quickly stopped and waved his hands at Sunset. “Hold up! I need to get my bag; I’ll be right back!” said Uni, turning. Going back to his original hiding spot, Uni spotted his bag… until he heard a voice. Yo Uni? What I miss? “Nothing much Bill… just… getting back to seeing an old friend,” said Uni, smiling. Wow, haven’t seen you smile in a loooooong time; anyway, there’s this… strange feeling I’m getting from this school… It reminds me this one time about a rift in reality… “We can talk about this later,” said Uni, in a hushed tone. “Uni? Are you okay; is there someone else there?” asked Sunset. Uni popped his head out of the bush he was in and gave a grin to Sunset’s questions. “Nope; just me. Come on, I’m starved, I want to meet these friends of yours,” said Uni. Sunset smiled gleamed grabbing hold of Uni’s hand as the two made their way to the school’s cafeteria. Behind the bushes where Uni just was, Bill’s astral form swayed left and right; crossing their arms in frustration. That kid needs to listen to me more often… Bill turns to stare at the sky; giving a strange look with his eye. Something big is going to happen… Really big……… I wonder what happens if I just float here? Bill continued to float where he was, watching Uni’s silhouette disappear until it was out of sight. … …...Huh, nothing… Welp time to cause some mischief; hehheheheheheheheheh! Bill flies off the opposite direction that Uni decided to go to; giggling mischievously to himself. Meanwhile; in another world… WHERE IS SHE!? A small figure ran across a crystalline hallway; with each step he made the quiet pitter-patter of clicks and clinks, against the crystal floor. Passing by numerous doors, the figure came to a halt to a doubled door; pushing the doors with all his strength, the figure spotted his target. There she is! The room the small figure entered was a library; filled to the brim with books on every shelf. In the far side of the room was a single figure; surrounded in books stacked with such precision and skill, a skill that took years of learning. The sleeping form moved every few seconds, her stomach rising and falling with each breath; her mane was messy and right beneath her hooves was a book… possibly about scientific theories or what-not. The small figure from before ran across the room with ease and jumped right on top the table, surprisingly not waking up the sleeping mare before him. “WAKE UP TWILIGHT! IT’S AN EMERGENCY!” screamed the small drake. After the mare simply made a few grumbling noises, she swiveled her head away from the small drake; intending to catch for sleep than to listen to the young drake. With a sigh, the young drake leaned close to the mare and inhaled one large breath and shouted the one thing that will, and ONLY will work to wake up this specific mare. “THE BOOKS ARE ON FIRE!” “WHAT!?” screamed Twilight; shaking the sleepiness immediately. In the process of instantly rising to her full height, Twilight sent Spike flying across the room; nearly crashing into a wall… nearly. In the last second, Twilight caught Spike in her magic grip; once bringing the young drake back onto the table, Twilight gave Spike a good once over of the him and the room. “The books aren’t on fire!? Spike? Why did you wake me up; there’s no emergency here!?” “But there is… And-it’s-big!” said Spike, saying each word at a time. “Uhhh… Explain,” said Twilight, rubbing her eyes. Spike began to retell of a series of events that happened before he came barging into the library and rudely awakening Twilight from her beauty sleep. “Well… it started this morning-” Before Spike could start his story, another figure came barging into the room; it was nopony but one of her closest friends, Applejack. “TWI! We got a situation at the farm; we need your help! PRONTO!” shouted Applejack, running back outside. Immediately Twilight went to hyperdrive and followed suite with her friend Applejack… leaving a very confused Spike. “...But… what about my problem?” said Spike, to nopony. Sighing Spike gave up and followed too, deciding to figure out what was more important than his conundrum. Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle; fourth princess of Equestria, ex-element of Magic, and the Princess of Friendship. It has been only a few weeks since the incident with the sirens in this parallel world that is connected to Equestria; there, my new friends are the Elements of Harmony just like the ones in my world. My friend and apprentice, Sunset Shimmer who used to be somepony who attempted to rule Equestria became my friend over time. Right now, my friend Applejack is telling me something strange has appeared in her family’s farm and asked myself to help too; the rest of my friends are there ahead of us, but this is normal to both us and the citizens of Ponyville. We do live near the Everfree Forest after all. What could possibly be happening that’s more stranger and mysterious than the other adventures we done together? Author's Note The second I mentioned Gravity Falls; you had to have expected this! BILL CIPHER IS IN THE HOUSE! Next time on The Child of Chaos: It may seem something is a hoof in Equestria at Apple Acres. Sunset and Uni can finally reunite their long old friendship, and possibly make newer ones in the process; and most of all... What sort of shenanigans is Bill up to? All of this will be answered... soon... BYE! //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.3 Change Comes //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.3 Change Comes Canterlot High School Cafeteria 12:20pm “So let me get this straight,” said Rainbow, who held a cookie in one hand. “Your from this weird place called Gravity Falls, where tons of weird shenanigans happen?” “Well... yeah and-” “What kind of weird stuff happens? Do you fight monsters? Did gravity ever go flip-flop once? Oh, or did you ever-” Pinkie was hushed when Applejack shoved an apple into her mouth, shushing the hyperactive girl. “Pinkie; give the poor fella a chance to speak. Sorry about our friend, she can be... overwhelming,” said Applejack. “It’s... alright,” said Uni, waving his hand. “You sure have a lot of new friends Sunshine; the old gang would of wanted to see you one last time before you... well, moved.” “Can you please stop with that nickname... It’s so embarrassing for you to bring that back,” said Sunset. Sunset began to slide off her seat, shrinking away from the conversation. The rest of the girls giggled from the now shy Sunset, while Uni on the other hand stared obliviously at the current situation. The cafeteria was brimming with energy; news of the transfer student spread quickly as some students take a glance at Uni and his interactions with the Rainbooms. Nothing much is known about Uni, but many rumors of him acting similar to Rainbow Dash… only with a few slight differences. “So Uni dear, how did you meet Sunset? Sunset gave us… a little bit about how she met you, but it would be wonderful if I heard your side of the story,” asked Rarity, clasping both hands together. Uni turned to look at Sunset who was being comforted by Fluttershy, smoothing her hair every once in awhile. “Well… it started one fateful- Wait; I think I should tell it from the very very beginning,” said Uni. It was my seventh birthday party on a hot summer’s day; I could still remember the smell of cake and the laughter of other kids like myself back then. The many adults talked with one another while I simply played with other kids my age. When everyone was distracted for one second, I decided to take a stroll through my favorite forest path; I don’t know why I love it so much… must be because it was my mother’s favorite spot to walk too. I remember there was this lovely tree at the end of the path; it was smaller than the other gigantic trees but something about it made me all warm inside… like I had some strong connection to it or something. Well as I was making my way to it, I heard some sudden rustling coming from my left; I was halfway through the path and gone through it dozen of times. For some unexplained reason, animal wildlife never seemed to be spotted around that path… my mother mentioned something about the place being special or something, whatever she meant it was safe to walk, so when I heard some noise coming from those bushes I was curious to find out what was causing it… To my surprise I was going to meet possibly the most special person in my life ever. Seven years ago in the past; Gravity Falls, Oregon “Hello? Is someone there?” asked young Uni. The rustling continued to grow louder with each step I neared the bush; right when I was about to move the shrubbery, something came rushing out and crashed right into me. My first reaction of course was to begin swinging my arms around wildly… big mistake. “GHAAAH!” I continued my blind onslaught until when I stopped to look, I found a girl who was slightly taller than I rubbing the top of her head; her face was wet (was she crying?) either because of my sudden attack or from wandering the forest alone. While she did looked older I could tell she was around my age. I stopped immediately and bent down to help her stand up; at first she wobbled a little and tried to steady herself by leaning against the nearby trees. “Are you alright? I am soooo sorry, I heard some noise from that bush and you ran right into me and I thought some animal was attacking me and-” “I-I-Its alright; I should have been more careful in the fu-” The strange girl stopped speaking and stared wide-eyed at me as if I were some kind of alien or something. She should look herself in the mirror, she looks like some sort of living bacon creature. Uhmmmm… bacon. Back to my story; she shook her sudden shock away and finished her sentence. “ture.” “Uhhh, is something wrong?” asked Young Uni. “N-nothing… I was just… surprised that… Where am I?” asked the mysterious girl, taking her surroundings for the first time. The mysterious girl stared awestruck at her surroundings taking every detail; every leaf, every stick, every rock. She even began to take a look of herself as if she never saw herself at all in her entire life. She began to play with her fingers by touching the fabric of her clothing, which she also took a surprise to too. She began to touch everything she was capable touching… until she started grasping for… “WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOOOOOA! What do you think your doing?” asked young Uni, taking careful steps away from the mysterious girl. “I’m sorry… I’m just a little… disoriented right now,” said the mysterious girl. “Dis-what?” asked young Uni. “You know disoriented; when your confused or out of touch.” I gave the mysterious girl a look of confusion I wasn’t that far adept in vocabulary yet; in return she sighed and gave a better way of understanding her situation. “Its like when you’re lost in a mall and can’t find your way out or can’t find your family.” “Ohhhhh; gotcha,” said young Uni, responding to the explanation. “By the way; what’s your name…” I stared at the mysterious girls strange looking hair and decided to give her a nickname that would befit her. “Bacon-Hair!” At that moment before Uni could continue the rest of his story, a few of Sunset’s friends; especially Rainbow started laughing hysterically, slamming her fist on the cafeteria table they were sitting on. Applejack crushed the apple juice in her hand while Pinkie Pie sputtered some chocolate milk she was drinking. Rarity tried to stifle a laugh but had a hard time holding it in; as for Fluttershy she gave a few giggles but calmed down Sunset who suddenly exploded into life from her sudden shyness. “I THOUGHT WE PROMISED NEVER TO MENTION THAT… That… DUMB NICKNAME EVER AGAIN!” shouted Sunset; a tinge of red forming on her cheeks. “Oh come on, Sunset; it wasn’t that bad,” said Uni, grinning. “YEAH! At least he changed it into… Sunshine,” said Rainbow, covering her mouth as a few snorts came out. Sunset glared daggers at Rainbow, but she was busy laughing from sudden mention of an old-time nickname that Sunset regretted ever being given to her. “Besides; I’m only telling them a story, I won’t ever mention that nickname ever again… Until I finish the story, alright,” said Uni. “You promise?” “Absolutely!” “If you promise, then Pinkie Promise” “Pinkie what?” asked Uni, confused. “What’s a Pinkie Promise?” Pinkie scooted over to Uni and whispered to him a shortened version of the Pinkie Swear. After understanding, he began the rite of the Pinkie Swear. “Cross my heart hope to fly,” said Uni, placing his hand and remembering to form it into a fist on his eye. “Stick a cupcake in my eye.” “Good; now if you break a Pinkie Promise, a lot of bad things will happen if you do so,” said Sunset. “Yeah yeah; but I can still mention it until after the story’s over, right?” asked Uni, looking at Pinkie. “Uhm hmmm; that’s right! So continue with your story!” said Pinkie, bouncing with anticipation. “Alright… Now, where was I...” Her first reaction was by staring at me; at first I thought she was going to pulverize me were I stood. Luckily she blushed profusely and began to wave her arms wildly in anger. “WHAT YOU MEAN BY BACON-HAIR! I’M NOT A PIECE OF MEAT!” shouted ‘Bacon-Hair’. “Well whatever… Hey, you wanna see something cool!?” asked young Uni. Before ‘Bacon-Hair’ could speak, I grabbed hold of her arm and began dragging her with me. She was a bit angry that I began dragging her with me, but was curious of what I was going to show her. Once we arrived at the end of that path, we both witnessed a beautiful sight; in the center was a tree that had it’s branches extended as far as it could in the small space it was given. The branches were surprisingly thin and held a beautiful array of colorful leaves like red, green, yellow, orange, purple, and others I wasn’t able to name off back then. My mother told me the tree was special and every season would stay the same no matter how much it’s surroundings may change; she even said that in a storm, this single spot would always stay sunny and untouched by natural occurrences… like it was protected by an invisible dome. “It’s cool right?” asked young Uni, turning to see ‘Bacon-Hair’s’ reaction. When I turned to see, she was staring with a gaze of wonder; her mouth was agape and she nearly stepped over me when she approached the tree. I watched in fascination of her curiosity and followed behind; she began to touch the tree, but retracted her hand back until she placed whole palm on it’s bark. The tree’s bark was surprisingly smooth and was cool to the touch, even though it was summer; what was most curious was the tree gave off a warmth, that eased the soul… She sat down and began to take quick nap, leaning against the tree. I joined with her and began to sleep too; when we both enjoyed the scenery around us, she spoke up and showed how relaxed she was. “Sunset,” said ‘Bacon-Hair’. “Hmmmm? Sunset what, Bacon-Hair?” asked young Uni. ‘Bacon-Hair’ was surprisingly relaxed and ignored my mention of her new nickname, and turned to look me in the eye; she was smiling and gave off a warmth grin when she spoke her next line of words. “My name; it’s Sunset Shimmer,” said Sunset. “Sun...set,” said young Uni, replaying the name in his mind. “That’s… a nice name… Sunset...” The two of us enjoyed our relaxation in this small peaceful area; until I remembered a very important detail. “MY BIRTHDAY! I NEED TO GET BACK BEFORE EVERYONE STARTS WORRYING ABOUT WHERE I AM!” shouted young Uni, standing up immediately. Before headed off; I stopped mid-run and turned to face Sunset, and extended a hand toward her. “Hey; you wanna come to my birthday party?” asked young Uni, grinning. Sunset stared at the hand and after a few silent seconds nodded and grabbed hold of my hand. “I accept your invitation; uhmmm...” said Sunset. “Uni; you can call me Uni,” said young Uni, raising a thumbs up with his other hand. The two of us made our way back to where I stayed; and after a few scoldings from some of the adults I continued enjoying my party with my new friend, Sunset. While the two of us enjoyed my birthday, by playing with the other kids, hitting the pinata, and eating some cake, everyone had to go home. The only people who were left was myself and Sunset, I was going to invite her to stay at my place but said she needed to go back home. I wanted to lead her back… but… Uni sat still on his side of the cafeteria table whilst everyone continued to look at him, worrying that something happened between him and Sunset. “Did… did something happen?” asked Fluttershy, who was now interested in the story. “Well; when Sunset was leaving, I saw her going back to the path that led to the spot that I showed her before. I followed of course, but when I was unable to catch up since it was getting dark soon and the only light was from my own flashlight, I could barely see where she went off to. When I saw her took a turn to the same bushes I saw her came through, I followed behind… except… when I came through to the other side… she vanished,” said Uni, his face showing both confusion and worry. “Sunset somehow vanished into thin air, and all that was there… was a small mirror on the ground; it was a simple hand-held mirror you can hold to look at only your face… I thought it was yours Sunset, but it had no name on it...” Uni looked up after staring at the table to take a glance at Sunset. “Sunset… what… happened to you that night? Where did you go and… Why did you go into the forest?” asked Uni. “Well… I… I...” Sunset began to twiddle with her fingers and looked away from Uni, staring at the far wall of the cafeteria across where she sat; of course Uni became suspicious but awaited Sunset to answer first. “I… had my reasons… there are some things you don’t know about me Uni; we may had created a close friendship that day but… there some things… I’m not ready to tell you yet.” Sunset’s friends watched where they stood, looking at Uni’s response. Uni sat where he was and took a sip of his juice and it placed back down; with a sigh he stood up and began to leave the table. “I need to use the washroom,” said Uni, leaving. As Uni left the cafeteria, Applejack was the first to speak up from the awkward moment. “You… haven’t told him yet… have yeah Sunset,” said Applejack. Sunset kept quiet and took a few looks at each one of her friends, ending her long staring at Applejack. “...Do you think… I did the right thing by not telling him AJ?” asked Sunset. “Do you think… that I should of told him; I mean… back then… I was a wreck. I just left Celestia’s teachings and ran away, and the only reason that I even went back was so I could hide somewhere and find a way to enact my revenge… but now… things changed. I’m not the same person I was back then… I’m… different.” “Sunset, even if Uni never knew the real you it doesn’t mean his not your friend still… Out of all of us, his possibly your first genuine friend when you came to this world… so don’t loose hope yet,” said Rarity, placing a hand on her shoulder. Sunset looked at her many close friends, and smiled a small but content smile. “Thank you… everyone; I don’t know if I could ever be able to see face to face with him ever without any of you with me,” said Uni. “Don’t mention it Sunset; besides, the guy lives in a town in the middle of nowhere. Compare to us, he probably seen way weirder things than us,” said Rainbow, grinning. “The only difference is that he never fought back a trio of sirens that tried to brainwash the whole school!” “Yeah! Not to mention when that giant ghost pony that appeared when the six of us, and Princess Twilight joined together and stopped their plans,” said Pinkie. “It was the best battle, ever!” Pinkie spread both her arms wide; her left hand which held cookie that was bitten by her flew off and hit smack in the face a familiar blue haired boy. Of course this boy continued walking like nothing happened, tempted to take a bite of the mysterious flying cookie himself. “It was an interesting day… I wonder how Princess Twilight is doing? Do you know Sunset?” asked Fluttershy. Princess Twilight… “No I haven’t received news of her yet, but she’ll come around soon… Maybe when the next time she comes to visit us, I could introduce her to Uni… as long he doesn’t find her popping out of the portal the school statue of course,” said Sunset, smiling sheepishly. “Why if that happened, poor Uni would probably faint,” said Rarity. “You mean, you would faint; I’m pretty sure Uni would of ignored it like everyone else,” said Applejack. “It is a possibility… speaking of Uni… He sure is taking his time,” said Rarity. “I know we girls love to take our time when going to the washroom, but it’s already been fifteen minutes; I hope he didn’t eat something bad.” “Good thing it ain’t Taco Tuesday; that sure gave me a kicker when ate those tacos,” said Rainbow, reminiscing of the memory. Elsewhere; Uni strolls around the school halls having passed the school washroom, and decided to go outside. Once opening and going through the school’s front doors, Uni for the first time ever took to taking in the school’s front lawns’ sights; especially the statue of a horse in the center. Taking a seat on the steps, Uni took a quiet glance at his surroundings; for a town that was bigger than his, it was sure quieter… it shows how rowdy his hometown really is. Uni stretched both his arms and shoved his right hand into one of his many pants’ pockets; after a few finger grabbing seconds, Uni pulled out a phone. It wasn’t something special like phones people use nowadays; it was a simple flip-phone. Uni opened his phone and began clicking some random buttons until a series of pictures appeared; strolling through each picture, Uni stopped on one particular one. Unbeknownst to Sunset, during Uni’s seventh birthday, one of the adults took a photo of Uni and her with their knowledge. It was only two years ago did he found out someone took the picture of him and young Sunset back then that they gave he the photo considering they didn’t permission and were happy to give the photo to him since it was the only photo of the strange girl that Uni met as a child. Uni smiled to himself but as swift as the wind, he closed the picture and continued to scroll through the pictures until another picture, one that was recently taken showed a map of the whole town; Canterlot. In reality, Uni wasn’t here because he was actually transferred… well this was half true; an incident did happen at the school… an incident caused by him and his friends. Why though did this incident happen… three reasons; firstly, after one of his friends hacked through the school board’s list of students across the country, it was revealed that a Sunset Shimmer was attending CHS; of course Uni needed to make sure if this was the same Sunset he met all those years ago. Secondly, Uni’s knows nothing about his father, but apparently Uni’s mother met him in this town… question is… doesn’t anyone know if he still lives here. And finally… the true reason to why Uni’s really here… Bill Cipher; Bill, Uni’s partner and roommate (both physically and mentally), was getting strange readings from this town. You see, ever since Uni met Bill the two… had been ‘fixing’ problems around their little town… in short… they were super heroes. Well to be more specific the were problem solvers; and their next problem was apparently somewhere in this town. From what Bill could surmise, a portal of sort was somewhere here but the problem wasn’t the portal… it was what came out. Uni stood up and approached the statue in the center; placing his hand against the statue, Uni expected to feel the cold touch of stone… instead something else happen. Uni’s hand went through the staute… it felt strange, like his hand was going through a tub of jello… but it felt warm when he did… almost… familiar. Uni shook the feeling out and pulled his hand out; it seems he found the portal… now all that was left… was to find out if ‘anything’ came through. Uni was about to turn back and go back inside the school and head back to the cafeteria with everyone else… when he saw something. It was for a short moment, but after taking a second glance he saw… an ‘irregularity’; across where he stood was a strange trio of girls. Now there was nothing weird about that per say… but… to Uni, they were indeed strange. For a brief moment if anyone looked carefully, they would of saw Uni’s shrouded in a strange glow… that would be his psychic abilities. Now not the false kind that many of the skeptical kind would think but, pure, mental, powers; these are the side-effects for having your soul fused with a demon dream. With Bill’s guidance, and a bit of Uni’s own flair, he was able to see for who they really are… sort of; every living being has a certain trait to them… a ‘mark’ you could say. Humans left a blue energy, animals were green, while other mythical creatures were ranging from the full on color spectrum of sorts… however… beings from other worlds though… they left something else… red. As Uni continued to stare, the three girls who to the untrained eye looked normal… were shrouded in the red mist… not only that… but Uni could almost see the small glimmer of a creature. It looked… sea-like; that was the only clue to go by for him. Having found his target, Uni would of went to do what he came here to do… sadly, his in the middle of town and he promised to return from his supposed bathroom break; turning around and deactivating his powers Uni turned around… only to give a cold glare at the three strange girls. “I won’t allow these monsters to harm my new friends… Especially you Sunset,” said Uni, muttering. Uni left returning back inside the school. Sonata Dusk; the third member of the Dazzlings and closest thing to being their youngest member (even tough she and Aria are the same age), shivered… in the middle of spring… on a windless day. Instantly felt it, the cold glare of someone staring at her; she spun around to find the source of the glare… but found nobody standing on the street, especially across the road. Her fellow companions didn’t ignore this and turned around to, only to stare at their blue-skinned friend. “What’s the matter not Sonata? Don’t tell me you need to go again,” said Adagio. Sonata stopped her searching as her eyes softened, but show sign of caution at the same time. “It’s… nothing… I thought I saw or… felt something… but it was nothing…” said Sonata, rubbing her arm in embarrassment. Adagio stopped her annoyed glare and placed a firm hand on Sonata’s shoulder; the taco-loving girl looked up at her leader, having been shocked from the sudden touch. “Look… I know we can’t forget what we done before… That we nearly lost… this,” said Adagio, showing the red gem. “But we’ll fix our mistakes… someday… so whatever is bothering you just tell me, alright.” Sonata took a good side glance but returned her gaze back to Adagio; with a quick exhale Sonata spook. “Well… I thought someone was staring at us… gave me the chills,” said Sonata. “I can still feel even now.” “That’s what’s bothering you? Oh bother; it better not be that creeper from before. I told that bastard if he tried going near you again I was going to tear his little head and shove it up his-” Adagio shoved her hand onto Aria’s mouth, silencing her. “Not in public; now come on, I don’t want to be late this time. Their selling twenty percent off today, and I am not going to miss it because of some weird-do,” said Adagio. “...Can we buy some tacos while we’re at the mall too?” asked Sonata, innocently combing her hair with her hand. Adagio gave Sonata good stare, but sighed having surrendering to her cute innocent look. “Alright; we’ll buy some tacos-” “YEAH!” shouted Sonata, hugging Adagio. “THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ADAGIO! YOUR THE BEST!” Adagio hated hugs… but she tried her best to stomach the feeling; she patted Sonata’s head with a light pat. The three sirens made their way to the shopping mall to buy today’s dinner. Right before they left the street, Sonata took a quick glance at CHS. I hope it was just that weird-do… because whoever was staring… they weren’t interested one bit on know me at all. “SONATA!” shouted Aria. “Coming!” Sonata followed quickly behind, giggling (while drooling) of the thought of eating her favorite food in the entire world. Back at the school; Uni went back to everyone at the cafeteria and continued with small talk. The bell rang and the remaining half of classes continued afterwords. Luckily Uni remaining classes were the same as Sunset’s and was able to have a less awkward time in class and was able to hangout with her at the same time. Soon everyone began to flood out of the school and headed their separate ways; as Uni was about to leave… I need to find those girls; and once I do I- “UNI! HOLD UP!” shouted Sunset. Uni turned around and saw Sunset running toward him; he smiled and waved towards her. Once Sunset stopped in front of him, Sunset’s other friends followed behind as well. “Is there something wrong Sunset?” asked Uni. “No...” said Sunset, out of breath. “But… there is… something… I need… to tell you. Are you busy… tomorrow?” Uni stopped his own breath, and thought what Sunset just said as Uni’s whole world started to slow down to a crawl. ...Is she… is she asking me on a date? Uni’s face slowly grew to a bright red as the world returned to its normal time. “N-n-n-no; w-w-wh-y?” “Well… me and the girls are having a picnic; do you wanna-” “OF COURSE! I’D LOVE TO!” “REALLY!? I mean… really?” “Yeah! Like old times.” “Cool… come at the hill at the far edge of town with the single tree at its top…” “Alright; when?” “Next Sunday… is ten o’clock alright for you?” Uni nodded happily, grinning stupidly too. “Yeah yeah; I’ll be there as quick as a tiger.” “I think you mean leopard...” “THAT TOO! Well… see ya on Sunday!” Before Sunset could say another word, Uni went running disappearing behind the school’s wall. “...See yeah,” said Sunset. In that instant Sunset collapsed, kneeling down where she stood. She felt a hand on her shoulder and when she looked her friend Applejack smiled; her hat tipping a little bit. “I guessing I need to make that three pies now, huh?” said Applejack. “YEAH! Before it was a good get-together party; but now its going to be a welcoming party!” shouted Pinkie, throwing confetti. “Was it just me but… did it seem that Uni was happier than usual when Sunset was the one who invited him… It may seems he may have thought you and him were going on a-” At that instant Sunset rose and inhaled a large amount of air… and screamed. Everyone; even some random pedestrians who were walking by were spooked by the sudden noise, even covering their ears too. Once Sunset’s screaming was done, she looked around embarrassingly; blushing bright pink. “I-I-I… I’m sorry,” said Sunset, waving shyly. Everyone continued to walk by… quickly; after that was done she turned swiftly at a rather frazzled Rarity. “Never, ever, speak-that-word!” said Sunset, resolve in her voice. “Bu-” “Up up up… don’t,” said Sunset, placing a single finger on her friend’s lips. Rarity squinted her eyes, and slowly removed her friend’s finger and continued to speak. “All I’m saying darling is that he may become upset if he finds out that it… wasn’t what he thought it was originally. So it’s best we tell him, personally,” said Rarity. “Yeah there’s a problem about that; none of has his phone number,” said Rainbow. “Then we’ll just find where he lives,” said Applejack, crossing both arms. “Uhm girls...” said Fluttershy. Everyone directed their attention at Fluttershy who was still staring where Uni went. “...Where does Uni live?” At that moment; the Mane 6 stood there dumbfounded at their new predicament. “...Oh…” said Sunset, having realize that now. Meanwhile but not too far; Uni skipped like a kid in a candy shop… Nah, not in a candy shop… but in a candy mall. He was giddy with excitement having his oldest crush asking him out; it was a dream come true for him. “Finally, it’s actually happening!” shouted Uni, spinning around a convenient lamp post. What’s convenient partner? “GAH!” shouted Uni. Uni turned around to see Bill Cipher floating behind him… in a rather weird pose to mention. “Don’t do that!” Do what? I’m a spirit for bloody sakes Uni; how in the world you’d notice me or not in the first place. I’m freaking floating! Uni was about to argue but, slowly lowered his finger in defeat. “…Good point. Speaking of which; where were you anyway?” asked Uni. Nowhere… But the real question is… Where we going to stay? You never really thought of where exactly where we be make our crib, now did you. “I’m working on that; but I found three anomalies and the portal. I already sealed the portal but the anomalies… I lost,” said Uni. Well that don’t matter if we can’t find a place to hang about! “I SAID I’M WORKING ON THAT!” “Working on what, exactly Mr Uni?” Uni froze like an icicle; turning ever slowly, the one who spoke was none other than Vice-Principal Luna… behind her, Principal Celestia. The authoritative figures for the school stood where they were; Luna having her arms crossed and showing an inquisitive eyebrow raise while Celestia placed one hand on her mouth, trying her best to hide her laughter fit. “You mind telling me, Mr Uni… Just what are you doing in the middle of the school’s parking lot… talking to yourself for?” asked Luna. Any memory of Luna of when Uni met her before slowly disappeared; slowly replaced by a woman who was to feared… and respected. Uni stiffened and kept standing not daring to move an inch. CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP! SHE CAUGHT ME TALKING TO BILL! You're screwed partner. “Shut up,” said Uni, in a whisper. “What was that!?” said Luna, having heard the whisper. “I-I-I… Miss...Luna-” “Don’t you ‘Miss Luna’ me; I don’t know what your doing here but, you and I am going to have a talk after we return home.” “Please I wasn’t… wait… ‘we’?” “Well what else; your principal sent Celestia and I a letter about you, and strictly said that we needed to take a close eye on you. So the best way we could do that… was by letting you stay with my sister and I.” Uni was shocked; he was the one who sent the letter to trick this school’s principal to think he was a transfer student… but he never thought it went as far as to living with them… then it came to him… “Bill...” said Uni. Celestia walked toward Uni; Uni thought he was in trouble but instead, Celestia kneel one leg down and met her eyes toward Uni’s. “Now don’t be afraid Uni; I know my sister may look… frightening,” said Celestia, taking a good look at Luna; who was grumbling about something. “But she can be… friendly, sometimes. She’s also more knowledgable around to playing video games so you won’t feel lonely when living with two grown women.” At that moment Celestia winked; it both gave Uni a shiver down his spine… and calm feeling too at the same time. Something about Celestia was… strange; taking measures Uni’s used his powers and as surprising as this situation was… she was just an ordinary human, as well as Luna. I guess she’s just a weird, but wise principal is all… Kind of reminds me of… Mom… That thought may Uni frown; Celestia too noticed and smiled in returned, placing her hand on Uni’s cheek. “Now… I know that… you had a rough childhood… But I promise I won’t let you down… It’s why I’m the principal of the only school in this little town of ours… And I hope you feel welcomed too; there are a lot of people here that you could make friends with, that I am sure of,” said Celestia, rising back to her full height. “Now; let’s head back home. I’m going to show you my famous ‘Mac n Cheese’, it’s Luna’s favorite.” “Mac n Cheese!” shouted Luna. “SWEET!” Luna instantly realized her sudden change of personality and began to cough viciously. “I mean… I suppose we’ll have that for tonight; let’s go.” Even though Luna kept a straight face, after passing Uni, she began to smile giddily. Uni looked back at Celestia and pointed a thumb at Luna. “Is she always like that?” asked Uni. “Sometimes; but you should see her when she’s playing online with other players,” said Celestia, giggling. “She was half-asleep during that day when we were working. I found her splayed on inside the janitor’s asleep with an empty can of Red Bull clutched in her hand.” Celestia walked passed Uni, but turned her head to urge him to follow to her parked vehicle. Uni followed and after seating in the previous seat he was on during this morning; Bill appeared beside him. Where were you really? I haven’t seen the rest of the day since Sunset found me. ...I was… busy you could say… Bill’s expression changed, his eye showing the slight bit of malice. ...Really busy… At that same time as Celestia drove her vehicle away, and Sunset and friends left the school’s front lawn; the school was quiet… then from the statue, the portal began to brighten. Slowly it was dim… then it shined like the sun… then stopped… but something changed… something changed… … … … ...Something… appeared; sprouting out like a freshly planted flower was a hand… it was gray and emitted a purple glow… A malicious voice was heard… none-like anyone has ever heard. “Seems things are going to get… chaotic.” A laughter (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGn1TlBLm0w) ever so haunting rang across the small town… ‘Something’ walked out of the portal... Author's Note Today's chapter you get https://img.youtube.com/vi/itAOGRiYRLI/mqdefault.jpg ...CLIFFHANGERS! Now for some news for the future chapters of this story; I will make some filler chapters focusing on two perspectives. One being Bill's, the other being Twilight's; we'll continue back to our regular scheduling once those two chapters are out. Hope you enjoy for what's to come soon... because I know I will. *evil laughter* https://img.youtube.com/vi/pVY1-v97Mic/mqdefault.jpg //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.3.5 Bill's Triangular Day Out //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.3.5 Bill's Triangular Day Out “Nope; just me. Come on, I’m starved, I want to meet these friends of yours,” said Uni. As Uni left, Bill watched as his astral form swayed left and right; his arms crossed in frustration. That kid needs to listen to me more often... He stares up at the sky; giving it a strange look. Something big is going to happen... Really big... ... ...I wonder what happens if I just float here? After floating for a few seconds, he watched as Uni left with the group of girls out of sight. ... ... ...Huh, nothing... Welp time to cause some mischief; hehheheheheheheheheh! Bill begins to float away, to spread panic and mayhem wherever he goes; giggling mischievously in the process. Floating for a lengthy amount of time, Bill seems to realize that this whole town is enriched in a powerful sphere of energy, meaning he can leave Uni for long durations, as long he stays within the city’s limits. Sadly, the wandering dream demon has lazily looked everywhere for good entertainment… only to find… this! THIS IS THE MOST BORING TOWN EVER! Even Gravity Falls had some fun once awhile, but this... Is torture! Bill was floating completely still above a crowd of people; so far his made the simple prank here and there but wasn’t enough to entertain him. The minutes have gone by and was past lunch hour, meaning Uni was probably doing his next set of classes soon. Better go back to the kid, don’t want to worry him. Before Bill could float away, disappointed of today’s events… He saw the most peculiar and interesting trio of girls. While many of the townsfolk here come in different shapes and colors; literally, these three girls showed off a faint energy signature... The same signature they been trying to find. Seems I may need to change plans... Bill’s voice changed tones, going darker and more sinister (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-0Avu766wQ). This should be fun, mweheheheheh. Meanwhile, the Sirens bought their needed groceries, and tacos. Making their way home, crossing the school again like they did before. Sonata was busily eating some ice cream, while Aria continued reading a novel they bought, holding two bags of groceries with one hand. Adagio carried a box full of spices and other ingredients, also around her neck was the red gem that keeps all three alive. Just when they were about to take a turn… they heard an eerie voice. Ollo! The voice echoed creepily, all three girls turning instantly out of instinct and practice. What they saw… was not what they expected. “Is that… a triangle?” said Aria, confused. “Looks like those chips you ate last night… What were they called; Boratis… Garotees?” said Sonata, thinking of the bag of chips. “Whatever it is, it’s messing with the wrong girls. SIRENS!” shouted Adagio. Instantly, Aria and Sonata stood behind her, placing both their hands together. The trio began to sing harmoniously a strange tune, both enchanting and mystique. However, the triangular demon kept staring with it’s one eye. OHHHH a singing competition! MY TURN MY TURN! Suddenly Bill’s eye turned into a trumpet and blasted the three girls sensitive ear drums asunder. The blast was so powerful that Sonata’s ears started bleeding and she was sent down to her knees, whimpering. “SONATA! YOU SON OF A BITCH!” shouted Aria, running straight at Bill. “WAIT ARIA!” But before Adagio could stop her, Aria jumped right at Bill, only to go through him like nothing was there. “His a spirit, we need to go now!” Adagio lifted Sonata up and the three ran going into a nearby alleyway. Bill continued to stare at the dropped groceries, looking back up to where the three went. You forgot something! ...OH, A TACO! As the sirens ran away toward the nearby alleyway, they continued to run until they reached a few blocks, ending up near an alley close to their apartment. Adagio gently placed Sonata, her back leaning against the wall, Aria kept walking left and right, spouting angry retorts to nobody in general. Adagio rested beside Sonata, moving her as close to her as possible, not bothered by the small droplets of blood on her sweater. “THAT SON OF A STUPID MOTHER BLOODY! GRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!” screamed Aria. She then started to slam her fists against the nearby wall, causing small cracks to appear. Pieces of her skin and blood began to peel off her fists, but continued her angered onslaught. “Aria… stop… please...” Aria stopped and turned to find Sonata talking, her ears still ringing form the loud blast of sound. “Hey hey hey. Sonata you need to rest, once we return home I see if I can find the first-aid kit. Then… we may need to tell Sunset,” said Adagio. “Why tell her? What will she do?” asked Aria, still angry. “She and her friends were capable of handling us… She’s the only person who can stop, well whatever that thing was. Now come on, we need to head home. I’ll order us some food; it’s not safe going out now.” As the trio left, Bill left from his hiding spot within the shadows. Seems my fun for today is over; time to head back to Uni. Bill floated away, heading back to CHS… however. What in the... Some distance below Bill was a strange but familiar sight. Walking near the school but keeping a safe distance was a pitch black doberman, and instead of its usual brown was dirty yellow. The dog walked forward, only to stop and swivel his head around; it seems that the dog was looking for something… or someone. Bill floated down and met face to face with said dog; the dog barked having seen Bill now. The hell are you doing here? I thought we told you to wait at Gravity Falls... well no matter, not my problem. What are you doing here anyway? The doberman continued to bark in a series of low and high barks, while people walked by, seeing only a dog barking at nothing when he was speaking to Bill. You came here because you wanted to help Uni? The doberman shook his head up and down; Bill sighed, pulling out his eye and rubbing it as if it were a glass, putting it back inside his socket. Look... I know you and I hate each others guts, but we both care for the kid... for our own reasons... I’ll let you stay and not send you back to Gravity Falls; it’s Uni’s decision what to do with you. The doberman barked happily, doing a cute jig swaying left and right and doing a little spin. Yeah yeah, don’t be so sure he’ll say yes. Come on; I spotted him going this way! Bill floated toward where he saw Uni was, and spotted him walking inside a car. Now since he doesn’t know your here, and I doubt anyone knows he owns a dog, it’s best you follow behind... You can catch up with that car, right? The doberman gave a whine, staring at Bill, feeling insulted by the question. Right right... you’re no “ordinary” dog. Bill went inside the car, unnoticed by the car’s driver and other passenger. “Where were you anyway? I haven’t seen you for the rest of the day since Sunset found me,” thought Uni. Bill heard his thought and responded. ...I was... busy you could say... Bill’s expression changed, his eye showing the slight bit of malice. ...Really busy... As the car began to drive away, outside the doberman followed with such swiftness and speed, it looked completely unnatural. To the average eye, you could almost catch the small glimpse of a pair of pitch black wings, black scales, and yellow slitted eyes on the doberman… disappearing instantly. Author's Note Some silly shenanigans that Bill has been up and doing... OH! And a new character, won't reveal who he is, but it's another OC character idea by dragon whisper. The character itself is somewhat a crossover from a movie... to be specific, a "nightly" and "wrath-like" one. This filler chapter takes place after chapter two and near the end of chapter three. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.4 Chaotic Mischief //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.4 Chaotic Mischief In a world of magic, a certain young alicorn princess runs and follows her farmer friend to solve a problem happening at her farm. Once arriving, she can spot her other friends there too, having zero clue to what’s happening either. “Are we all here!” shouted Twilight. “We are Twi,” said Applejack, turning to face the purple alicorn. “That’s good,” said Twilight. Spike who was following behind was able to catch up, panting tiredly. “What’s happening Applejack?” “Its better you see for yourself,” said Applejack. Applejack led Twilight toward a part of the apple orchard; within the orchard was a cluster of trees, but amongst them Twilight could sense something was wrong. Using her magic, she saw it instantly; before them was a massive swirl of magical energy, just waiting to be unleashed. The pool of magic was so great, Twilight flinched back from the magical output it’s making. “This is dangerous, make sure no unicorns go near that; who knows what it’ll do to those you can cast magic.” Twilight gave a grim look at the swirl of magic, taking a few steps back. “What is it Twilight?” asked Rainbow, flying closer to take a better view. “A pool of raw magical energy. I don’t know how it got here, especially a place that isn’t magically enchanted. Usually things like this are more common in the Everfree or other such places that are born from magic.” “Well whatever it is, will it harm my farm? Or anypony who goes near it?” Applejack stared at the pool of swirling colors worriedly. “As long nopony who’s a unicorn or uses magic doesn’t go near it; pegasi and earth ponies will feel a little dizzy. And those who have no magical abilities within them won’t be affected, like griffins and minotaurs.” Twilight closely examined the pool of energy, seeing it’s making no attempt to spread. “Good thing it hasn’t gone beyond your farm; imagine these things in town.” “Twilight.” “Not now Spike.” “Well now we know what it is...” said Rarity, getting everypony’s attention. “How shall we handle this situation?” “Can we block it or something,” said Rainbow, suggesting her idea. “That won’t work; making a physical barrier won’t do anything and creating a magical one would simply increase it in size. We need a rune-master or an expert on these things. I need to send a letter to Princess Celestia. Spike can you-” Before Twilight could finish her sentence, Spike inhaled deeply and shouted with the top of his lungs. “THERE’S ONE IN THE CASTLE!” shouted Spike. Everypony froze instantly, not expecting the sudden shout; luckily Twilight heard Spike’s message clearly and swiveled her head at Spike, staring with disbelief. “THERE’S WHAT IN THE CASTLE!” screamed Twilight. “Well, remember I said I had a problem. Well… there’s one in my room, back at the castle,” said Spike, twiddling his thumbs. Twilight’s eye twitched, slowly laughing to herself. Shaking her head she focused her attention at Applejack. “Applejack, make sure nopony goes near this thing, and tell me if there’s any sudden changes to it.” Applejack nodded. “Sure thing Twi, I’ll get Big Mac to make a fence around the thing so nopony goes near it.” Applejack runs toward where she last saw her big brother; Twilight turns to her other friends. “This is the new plan; while Applejack handles this magic pool here, we need to return to my castle. However, to be extra sure...” Twilight turned to face Rainbow and Pinkie. “Rainbow, Pinkie; I need you both to check Ponyville if anymore of those things are within or near town. Rainbow, you check Ponyville’s outskirts, while Pinkie handles the town. Check every nook and cranny, these things can be as small as a pebble, and if left unnoticed… It’s better we don’t find out.” Rainbow nodded, and Pinkie smiled brightly. “Don’t worry Twi, we’ll find these magic pool-thingies. I’ll do under ten seconds, flat!” said Rainbow, throwing a hoof pump. “I’ll search for the swirly-twirlies! Maybe I can ask some of them if they and their friends can go somewhere else than here,” said Pinkie, saying things in her usual silly way. Rainbow and Pinkie left the farm in such speeds that they left a cloud of dust – Pinkie left a dust of cloud in a shape of her – Twilight then moved to her other friends. “Our job is to check the one in the castle. Let’s go girl!” When the three mares, and a baby dragon – who was tired and sat on Twilight’s back – ran back to town… they saw a sight that wasn’t like it just earlier. Before Twilight left town to go to Sweet Apple Acres, Ponyville was completely peaceful this afternoon. Now… “How could this happen,” said Twilight, shocked. More of the magical pools were floating all over Ponyville, some unicorns have already befallen the effects of the pools of energy and fainted. Some other ponies were struggling under the strange phenomenon and were either having trouble flying or either had their endurance lowered to extreme levels. The magical pools were so condensed they were visible without the help of magic to see them, this was both good and bad. The good part was now ponies were able to see them and avoid them… the bad news… was that things were getting worse. “Twilight darling, what do we do now!?” said Rarity. A tiny magical pool was inching near Rarity, and after seeing what just a tiny one could do, jumped away from it, fearing that death itself was near her. “I rather hope you have some form of plan for this.” Fluttershy was trying her best to help ponies who’ve fallen back, up helping them rest somewhere clear of the swirling energies. “New plan; you girls try to help as many ponies here and get them out of town. With this many magical pools, they’ll all combine together and farm a maelstrom right in the middle of Ponyville,” said Twilight. “Spike and I will head back to the castle and find a solution.” Rarity and Fluttershy agreed; Twilight left them to handle things there, she heard Rarity shout something to her as she left. “BE SAFE DARLING!” As Twilight and Spike neared the castle, they entered through the two massive doors – well to be more specific they teleported inside – once inside they reached the library until they passed Spike’s room. Inside was an averagely sized magic pool, slowly growing in size. Ignoring it for now, they reached the library; the second Spike got off, Twilight began relaying her orders. “Spike, write a letter to Princess Celestia! Afterwords, search for any books related to magical anomalies and phenomenons!” Spike saluted, grabbing a scroll and feather dabbed with ink began to write. After following what Twilight had told him to write, he sent it instantly without delay. The two then began to scavenge through shelf after shelf; two piles were made, one pile of books they need, the other of books that weren’t needed. The pile of books needed were smaller than the other pile, actually to put it in better terms, the books needed was so small it couldn’t be considered a pile itself. So far they found three books, but all of them was more on theory than actual fact. During this, the two doors that enter to the library burst wide open. Twilight looked to see Rainbow Dash there, a worried look on her. Her rainbow-maned friend zoomed right toward Twilight, panting at the same time. “Twi… Those things… are every...where,” said Rainbow, able to breath out her message. The poor mare fell to the ground, but was able to be caught by Twilight. “Wha-what you mean!?” asked Twilight, at a lost of words. Rainbow took one deep gulp of air, and spoke her message. “Those magic cloud-thingies are all over Ponyville, and beyond the outskirts. It’s impossible to get out by hoof or train, and by air will take to long. With the one air balloon, we can only get at least five to seven grown ponies on it every thirty minutes. And with most of the pegasi weakened from already, the number ponies needed to be carried by air balloon are increasing every passing second. Not only that, but unicorns are starting to shake violently… and… and Rarity...” After hearing one of her friends names, Twilight placed a hoof to her muzzle, signs of tears ready to fall. Luckily, Rainbow took another breather and continued her mesasge. “She’s fine, for now… If we don’t do something fast, a lot of ponies are going to get hurt. What should we do Twilight?” said Rainbow. While the daredevil mare was never afraid of a challenge or going beyond her limits, Twilight could see she was outright afraid, no terrified of what’s happening. As he role as princess, it’s her responsibility to protect the ponies of Equestria. Standing straight and tall, she looked at Spike, and told him her next orders. “Spike, forget the books. It’s time we handle the situation full on. Rainbow, get everyone to head toward the town hall; I’ll try something to get us all out.” Twilight left the library, standing tall and regal-like; Rainbow and Spike stared then at one another. They slowly followed, the sound of flaps of wings and the clinks of claws touching crystal. Outside, everypony was near the town hall, some tired, others unconscious, others afraid. Rarity was between unconsciousness and being tired, her sister Sweetie Belle was by her side, not wanting to leave her for a single second. Applejack had a bandage around one of her forelegs, as to how it happened is a mystery but the mare was able to stand tall, slightly. Pinkie and Fluttershy tried their best to help the townsponies, while Rainbow finally arrived, with her some other pegasi. “This is everypony Twilight… So, now what?” asked Rainbow. Twilight looked around her, then at the sky; the original tiny swirls of magical pools turned into a giant maelstrom of unprecedented power, that it could be felt physically and magically by all. It wouldn’t be surprising if Celestia and Luna felt the powerful bursts of energy this thing was giving back at Canterlot. Speaking of which… why didn’t they send any help, is it possible the maelstrom has gotten so out of hoof that even they can get pass it… Or maybe… this is not just happening here, but all of Equestria. If that was happening… this could be the end of the Equestria, the world. Twilight shook the idea away and focused her magic; what she was about to do was both risky… and probably one of the greatest feats any pony would do… if she were an ordinary pony. With a quick upper motion of her horn, and runic circle appeared around all the residents of Ponyville. The magic from the rune was felt by all, it gave a feeling of comfort, that everything was going to be fine. Twilight was going to do the impossible, something she could never be able to do in her original unicorn form. She was going to use a massive teleportation spell; teleporting everypony within Ponyville, at least a kilometer away from here. Before Twilight could finish the spell… despair happened; a massive bolt of magical lightening struck poor Twilight, sending her flying and careening toward the town hall’s wall. She created a loud thud, and she slumped down on the stairs of the town hall. “TWILIGHT!” shouted all her friends. All of them ran toward her, even Rarity who simply began to crawl but was helped up by Applejack. All of her friends, and Spike neared her; some other ponies like the mare and some of Ponyville’s notable residents surrounded her, worried for the Princess of Friendship’s current status. “Twilight, Twilight get up… please!” shouted Spike, pleadingly. Everypony started to grow quiet, the princess not responding to her young assistant’s pleas. Without nothing else to do, Spike did the one thing that might work. Grabbing one of her hooves… she bit deep down into her fur. “SPIKE! What are you-” Before Applejack could finish her retort, a loud “YOWCH!” was heard from the previous motionless Twilight. Everypony looked down to see Twilight shaking Spike off and rubbing where he bit her. Twilight looked up and at Spike, glaring at him. “Spike, what was that for!?” Spike began to have tears well up, and hugged Twilight by the neck, his little form swinging on her neck. “I-I-I t-t-thou-thought, y-yo-yo-you were d-d-de-deeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!” Spike started to bawl uncontrollably, not wanting to let go of Twilight with all his might. “NEVER EVER, DO THAT AGAIN!” cried Spike, his tears staining Twilight’s fur. Twilight realized what has happened, and began to hug Spike back, whispering. “I promise...” A loud thunderous crackle was heard and everyponies attention was taken to the sky; the maelstrom was growing wilder and more out of control. Before anypony could think it was the end of all hope… a loud poof was heard, and standing tall and wearing sunglasses and a tropical shirt was the Spirit of Chaos; Discord. “That’s ex-Spirit of Chaos, to you,” said Discord, sipping his mango smoothie. “DISCORD!” shouted the whole crowd of ponies. “In the flash,” said Discord, grinning toothily. “Now I would ask what’s happening… but guessing by that giant formation of raw magical energy… I can assume you need my help?” Everypony gave Discord a very uneasy look, but that’s when they heard Twilight speak. “Please, help us Discord,” said Twilight, a worried look on her. “Are you sure Twilight?” asked Applejack, skeptical. “His our friend Applejack, don’t forget that… and his the only one I know who can help us with this problem. The princesses don’t have enough time to get here in time, and it seems he knows what to do,” said Twilight, glancing at the draconequus. “I know I know, I am that magnificent aren’t I,” said Discord, changing his clothes and staring at his sharpened claw. “So… will you help us Discord… please,” said Fluttershy, appearing before Discord. Discord knelt down and petted Fluttershy’s mane. “I’d do anything for you Fluttershy. Now then...” Discord rose up and stared at the maelstrom with a strange gleam in his eyes. “Stand back everypony; this is going to get loud.” Everypony was confused by the line, but stepped back, just in case. Discord cracked his claw and paw, making a loud cracking noise. He then pulled out of nowhere a giant cannon; the cannon had his face in the front and was oddly colored to look like him. Discord slung the cannon over his shoulder, holding it with both his claw and paw. The cannon began to create a loud noise that sounded like this, “vvvvvmmmmmmm”. The noise began to grow so loud, everypony had to cover their ears until it abruptly stopped, but Discord shouted with all his might. “FIRE IN THE HOLE!” With the power to rival the heavens, a bright beam of energy was fired at the maelstrom. The energy pierced the maelstrom, ceasing all activity immediately. All the magic pools began to disperse and the sky returned to it’s normal sky blue, with clouds floating lazily around. Everypony rejoiced happily, hugging one another and shouting in joy; Discord removed his cannon as it disappeared in a loud pop noise. He was suddenly surrounded by hugs from Fluttershy and the CMC. “THANK YOU DISCORD! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!” “Whoa whoa whoa; Fluttershy, I did it because your my friend.” Discord heard a cough and saw the other Mane 6 staring at him. He sighed and continued his sentence. “All of you are my friends.” Everypony giggled, as Discord groaned but his a smile. In the distance two giant flaps of wings could be heard; up in the sky was Celestia and Luna who had a group of royal guard and lunar guard ponies following behind. “AH! Cellie, Lulu; good to see you two!” shouted Discord, waving toward them. The two alicorn sisters landed before the group of ponies and bowed instantly; the two alicorns responded for their ponies to stop their bowing, checking their for any injuries of any kind. Celestia then turned to the two groups of guardsponies. “Check the injured, and the surrounding area for anypony that was still outside Ponyville!” shouted Celestia, though not as loud as the Royal Canterlot Voice. All of the guards nodded and moved throughout to do their roles; some of them were higher ranked and started shouting orders while those with some medical degrees or know some healing spells moved toward the citizens. One unicorn moved to Princess Twilight to heal her wounds but Twilight dismissed her and told her to help the others. “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine,” said Twilight. The unicorn nodded and moved away. Celestia approached Twilight, helping her up to her hooves. “Twilight, are you alright?” asked Celestia. “We received your letter but didn’t had enough time to respond; we’re glad Discord was able to reach you in time.” “Speaking of that troublemaker… How did you know Twilight was in danger?” asked Luna, turning to face Discord. Those who were near, like the Mane 6, Twilight, the princesses and Spike all turned to stare at Discord. The Spirit of Chaos was busy waving at ponies when he caught a glance at everyone eying him. Discord; while not often reliably in many – or any – situations, was surprisingly helpful. “How can I help you fine ladies this afternoon, hmmmm?” Fluttershy was the first to move forward and ask Discord the question in everypony’s head. “Discord… How did you knew that storm was coming? Its not bad you did that… I was wondering… we were all wondering thought how you knew. If you don’t mind...” Discord’s brow rose up, slightly floating in the air before returning to its owner. He coughed on the back of his paw, and rubbed his neck with his claw as he grinned guiltily. “Wwweeelll… What if I told you I know instead of how I knew, but why I knew,” said Discord, smiling sheepishly. That was when it was Twilight’s turn to speak. “Discord… What did you do?” “It wasn’t my doing… bbbuut, when I was wandering about I saw… something… interesting.” Discord pulls out an object, a quiet pop and said object is floating before everypony to see. The object was a shard… a shard of mirror. “Apparently, that mirror portal that Twilight used to retrieve her crown and go back to see… Sunnypants or something?” “Sunset Shimmer,” said Twilight, stating her friend’s name. “Yeah her; apparently the portal imploded back at the Crystal Empire, and its shards have spread out across Equestria, causing these magical abnormalities. I did stop a few like the one here at Ponyville… but whatever is causing them… Is happening in the other side of your friend’s world.” It then hit Twilight hard like the friendship train; with renewed vigor, Twilight teleported back to her castle. Of course Celestia, Luna, and Discord teleported themselves and the rest of their posse. They were in the castle’s lower levels, and in one spacious room was the remains of Twilight’s prototype portal. Twilight was busily preparing and fixing a few bugs on the machine. “Twilight? What are you doing?” asked Applejack. “If Discord is correct, then something is happening or about to happen back at the parallel world Sunset is at! Discord you said the shards… ‘exploded’?” “To be precise, they imploded and were teleported across Equestria, causing the magic from each shard to create these abnormalities. I tried to collect a few… but some were in harder areas to find and trust me… there are a lot, a LOT of those things.” “Then we can’t gather those shards; the best way is to go to Sunset’s world, find her and ask her assistance to make sure the portal on her side won’t implode either. Whatever caused it’s implosion may happen to her too… or worse.” Twilight gulped, plugging a few wires and pulling a few switches; soon the machine began to come to life, and instantly Twilight stood ready to enter through. “Hold on Princess Twilight,” said Luna. “Is it safe for you to go alone?” “I can bring Spike, he and I can-” “Bring Discord with you.” Everyone turned and saw it was Celestia who suggested to bring Discord. Everyone in the room had a bewildered look – even Discord – and, began to realize what she just said. “But sister… Why Discord? Can’t we send any of our guards or the Mane 6 instead?” asked Luna, shocked. “Our guards couldn’t handle such a life-changing moment; to realize another world exists. And we can’t send Twilight’s friends without encountering their own counterparts either. From what Twilight told me, Discord and Sunset are the only two Equestrians who don’t have their own counterparts in that world. Strange as it may… Discord may actually have a use for Twilight.” “HE CAN!” shouted everypony. “I CAN!” shouted Discord, too. “I MEAN- I mean… Thank you, Celestia; I won’t disappoint.” “I hope so too… and… be safe you three,” said Celestia, a small smile forming on her snout. “Don’t worry princess; I’ll make Twilight or Discord don’t do anything reckless!” shouted Spike, saluting. “You mean that you don’t cause any trouble; I’m sure a talking dog is worse than whatever Discord would do,” said Twilight. “Don’t jinx us Twilight.” Spike was the first to step through the portal, following behind were Twilight and finally Discord before he did one final farewell. “Adios my friends! I’LL BRING SOME SOUVENIIIIII-” Discord’s sentence was cut out as he entered the portal. Everypony present watched the portal, until Pinkie spoke. “Oh! I wonder what he’ll get for us!” In the other side, some moments after Uni left with Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna through vehicle; Spike reappeared at the front of CHS’s statue in his dog form, with Twilight appearing next in her teen form… when finally… Tumbling out the portal – and landing face first to the concrete – Discord skidded across the ground until his whole body slumped still on the ground. Spike began to laugh while Twilight tried to stifle her laughing. Discord pushed himself up with both hands open… that was when he noticed his new look. Discord who stood as tall as Principal Celestia – possibly taller – wore a brown suit, with brown pants. He worse a belt that had a belt buckle with a silver draconequus, he also wore two gloves, the glove where his lion paw used to be was yellow and had a texture similar to said paw. His other glove which was the same color as his claw had pointed ends but weren’t sharp but felt… pointy-er. Other details was his mane or hair in this case; it was short but thicker and was black with grayish lines going through the middle. On his face was a thin but noticeable tuft of gray hair, his eyes were oblong and his pupils slitted like a snake’s. He worse a pair of dark red shoes, that were flat but made a unique clacking noise with each step. What was even more interesting was that he also had a cane that looked like his tail and had two designs of a pegasus’s wing and a bat’s wing on it. The top hat was the last accessory and had two decorations sewn into it, they were two horns; one of a deer antler and the other was a blue goat horn. Even though Twilight and Spike already saw Discord’s true form, this still baffled them to see him look like a human. Discord looked at his new duds and grinned, his signature snaggle-tooth smile still there. “I like this new look… I think I’ll use it when we get back to Equestria… Also why do I have the strange urge to laugh evilly?” said Discord. “What?” said both Twilight and Spike. “Oh well, I’ll do it for the heck of it.” Discord began to laugh, using his evil laugh instead of chortling. Once he stopped and took a deep breath, he glanced up at the sky. “Seems it’s about to get dark soon. Any ideas, oh Princess of Friendship?” Discord bowed jokingly, but Twilight shook her head and also noticed the sun setting, pulling out a bag – which was a saddlebag – she brought a journal that connected to the journal she gave to Sunset when she became her apprentice. She opened the journal and noticed some new entries but decided to read them later; pulling out a feather and dipping it in some ink she began to write a quick message to Sunset. With that done she put away the journal and feather, looking back Discord who had Spike staring up at him. “We’ll wait for not here; I told Sunset that we’re here at the front of CHS. She’ll come over to pick us up then we’ll ask her of any strange occurrences… Which means Discord, behave.” Discord looked up at Twilight, busy looking at Spike. “Yes yes, I’ll be-have… besides, this world while having no magic, I can still smell the chaos just brimming here.” Twilight sighed and looked up at the sky, hoping bringing Discord wasn’t a mistake. Let’s home we can find out what’s causing the magical anomalies… I hope Sunset’s doing well. Vice Principal Luna was distracting herself with playing on her Gameboy; the sounds of a certain electric mouse was heard from the small device. Uni stared aimless out the window, watching passing houses and pedestrians with uninterest but continued to stare at something that wasn’t there. Celestia while still driving was still able to notice Uni’s sudden glum look. I won’t question what was the reason for him talking to nobody in the parking lot… but considering about his past… “Uni, is something wrong?” asked Celestia. Uni was still staring outside but responded to Celestia’s question. “Just busy with some my own thoughts… A few things caught my interest in town and I wanted to go see them,” said Uni. “I was actually invited to go somewhere on Sunday.” This caused Uni to smile happily from remembering that invitation. “Ohhhh? Really now,” said Luna, taking interest now. “This invitation wouldn’t have come from a certain student… Perhaps a red and yellow haired girl?” Luna began to grin mischievously toward Uni, causing the poor boy to blush with an annoyed look. He continued to stare outside but simply to distract himself than anything else. When he took a glance outside… he saw a very familiar figure… one that stood on all fours. Running on the sidewalk, following the car he was in… was Uni’s faithful companion; a black doberman as dark as midnight. WHAT IN THE HECK IS HE DOING HERE!? Uni’s face was flat against the window, causing it to fog over from his breathing. It wasn’t only him who took notice as Luna began to turn to look at his sudden change of attitude. “Is something happening outside, Uni?” As Luna was about to turn to see, Uni began waving his hands madly to distract her. “N-N-Nothing at all! I thought I saw something,” said Uni. If they even see “him” they’ll start get suspicious. From what I can remember, Bill didn’t mention that I own a dog. Well we’re screwed. Luna turned to look at Uni when a car honk was heard. Both passengers and driver took their attention facing forward when they saw a car crash has happened up ahead. A small blockage has occurred in the road that leads to where Luna and Celestia live, making the way there almost impossible to get there… almost. “It seems our way back home might take awhile. Luna, could you walk Uni back home, I’ll take the car around back… Maybe I can buy some groceries when I come back.” Luna looked back at her sister than at the driveway, sighing in defeat. “Alright sister. Come along Uni, we’re going take a walk,” said Luna. Luna stepped out of the car and as Uni was following saw that the black doberman is nowhere in sight. I guess he went into hiding after our car stopped. Dog’s smarter than he looks. You know perfectly well “his” no ordinary “dog”. True, but he ain’t no ordinary “animal” either. Uni stepped out of the vehicle and watched as Celestia drove off. Luna then tapped him on the shoulder, leading him to their destination. “Follow me Uni; we’ll head to my sister and I’s abode… While it is awkward for a student to be staying in a school staff’s home, we were specifically told to watch and give you any necessities from the letter sent by your principal, back at Gravity Falls.” “Huh? Oh, yeah… that letter...” Uni was distracted, watching the other sidewalk for any signs of his animal companion. Okay Bill… Talk… Talk about wha Uni-boy? For starters… WHY IN THE FAIRY DUST IS OBSIDIAN HERE! Well for starters, its not my problem if your pet misses you and comes all the way here to see you! If you wanna blame someone Uni… then blame yourself. BUT I TOLD YOU THAT IF YOU NOTICED ANYTHING UNUSUAL, YOU WILL TELL ME! THAT INCLUDES OBSIDIAN AS WELL YOU SONNA OF- WHHHOOOAAA! No need for that attitude… I’ll tell you what I learned another time, focus where you walk… Also Luna wants to talk to you. “Huh?” said Uni, speaking out his own thought. “Do not ‘Huh’ me; I asked if was alright as your first day of school?” Uni looked up and realized they left the bricked buildings and now walking through somewhat large and costly homes. “Wait? When did we get here so quickly?” “Well, a lot happens when you focus on other things. The same is said when your doing a test… or playing a 10-hour non-stop raid.” Uni gave a raised brow for that last example. “Uhh, riiight. Anyway… we near the place you two live VP?” asked Uni, busy focusing his attention elsewhere, again. “We are close; a few turns and we should be arriving at our home soon. Also, you may simply call me Luna, Uni; I may be your Vice-Principal, but having you refer to me like that constantly isn’t necessary.” Uni nodded automatically, until he heard some shuffling… and the sounds of some trash bins tumbling to the side. Uni and Luna turned to the source of the sound only to find a trash bin on its side. “This neighborhood wouldn’t have animals… Would it?” “None I know of, but we should head home… it is getting dark soon. Come along Uni,” said Luna. After the two took some turns, arriving before Luna and Celestia’s home… It wasn’t what Uni expected it to be. The house looked like a castle – not the size of course; it had marble pillars with intricate carvings that held a balcony above the front porch. Golden tinted windows were located on the first floor while the second and third floors held silvery-looking windows with an earthy-like border. The roof looked similar to something like a roman villa, where the color was similar to the reddish tones in a sunset and sunrise. All in all, the house looked like it was made to be built in some ancient Greek or Roman times… with one exception. To the side was a garage built in the side of the house, and a pathway hat led to a backyard. Flowers planted around the house and pathway gave it a lovely look. All in all, everything from the house, the garage, and the pathway all look extremely expensive… especially for school staff workers. Luna turned to look at Uni’s shocked expression and gave a smirk. “I know what your thinking, ‘How in the world do you buy such an expensive house?’. Well you see, similar to your school, we’re the only school until the nearest city. There is of course another school but if I remember correctly, its a private school, so majority of students come to our school. For that reason alone, the school board in charge of the schools around this region mostly give a good quantity of their funds here and the other school, and with festivals, many of the local population’s money is used for our school projects and such. In other words, having a job here is pretty beneficial; there are of course drawbacks for living in small towns such as ours.” “I know the feeling...” said Uni, thoughtlessly. Luna approached the front door, and from her pocket she pulled out a set of keys. Finding the correct one, she opened the door and led Uni inside. The first thing Uni saw was a spiral staircase centered in the middle of the foyer. To the left and right were two archways that led to more rooms, with two set of double doors behind the spiral staircase. The front entrance had a simple jacket closet for shoes and jackets; a carpet was placed at the front that says, “Home Sweet Home”. “For a place that’s this big, its pretty… homely.” The house-like mansion while big, was decorated with many pots and plants and some small trinkets here and there. The sunroof placed in the center of the room gave off colored light – a mix of red, orange, yellow, and light blue. “Indeed; we just recently bought this house a few years ago… Originally, my sister and I were teachers seven years ago before we were promoted as the school’s principal and vice-principal. Back then, the school was a mess and we tried our best to put to shape once we came into control – new school supplies, lockers, clubs and activities, and more school events. To say the least, we got the help of the townsfolk with these projects and as a thank you, they gave a large donation of money to us… While it was generous of them, we were near broke; before we lived in an apartment with one bed… A very small might I add.” It was generous for the people of this town to help us… While we never gained the respect from our school-board, we did gain the respect and help from the people of this small town… I guess it was right for my sister and I to leave the city. “You okay Miss Luna?” Luna was apparently crying and wiped a tear away as quickly she could. “Yes… I am alright… Again Uni, you can simply call me Luna; no need for the pleasantries, I’m not royalty or anything.” “R-Right… sorry… again...” “Please Uni, you are starting to sound like dear Fluttershy. While it is polite of you, I believe to be more yourself is called for all our students.” “Oh… s-sure. I mean; alright Luna,” said Uni, smirking back. “Much better! Come, I’ll show you around the house.” Luna led Uni to the left archway and have entered the house’s kitchen. The kitchen was equipped with a top-of-the-line fridge, stove, and other technological devices found in a kitchen. The microwave was installed above the stove, there were also a toaster, a blender with different options on it, numerous different of utensils and plates to be used. In the corner of the room was a circular windowed room with a table in the center and two chairs placed opposite of each other. Oddly enough the chairs were both different while being the same kind – one had a yellowed tinge to it and had a fluffy pillow placed on the seat; the other was intentionally painted a mix of dark blue as the night sky and white dots representing stars, and had a strange pocket-bag object placed in the back with different items in each pocket. Uni stared at the strange seat and glanced at Luna with a look between confusion and slight amusement. Luna noticed this and gave Uni a quick stare before looking away and pouting. “I need certain ‘necessaties’ when I’m eating you know...” “Whatever you say ‘princess’…” Uni instantly regretted what he said but was too slow to respond. “‘Princess? Well that’s a new one; so it seems your personality is a lot like Rainbow Dash’s, one of Sunset’s close friends. I believe she’s the lead captain of all sport clubs and activities… though she mostly plays the sport soccer from what I hear. She is truly active on most days, but I hear she has other hobbies to improve her other skills; right now she’s joined the book club and has brought her own ideas for stories.” “O-O-Oh-Oh… really? Well… that’s good I guess… How’s she-” “She is improving,” said Luna, instantly. “While she does have… some things to be fixed, many of the members are supporting her choice of… genre and idea. I am sure she may become a great author; especially one like her if she can both keep herself healthy with exercise and find a good time to read a good book or two. Celestia has even recommended a few books, and while some aren’t here interest, so far she truly likes the one titled… ‘Brush Drake’?” “Good good… Wait? She has a personality similar to mine?” “Indeed; you and her while loyal to your friends – considering to this day your still friends with Sunset – have a somewhat… teasing personality, and are a bit tactless when talking about certain subjects – again, Sunset. Though… there is one clear difference, and it is that yo-” Luna stopped when she nearly reminded Uni of his past. Luna what were you thinking; the poor boy hasn’t been here for a day and already you nearly wanted to talk to him about his past life! “What’s the difference?” asked Uni, genuinely curious. Luna gulped and began to sweat when she began to think of something else to say. “W-Well… you… you two… a-a-are…” Then Luna gotten an idea, and with that coughed and looked back with confidence. “For starters, I am sure Miss Dash doesn’t talk to herself, especially that angrily.” Luna gave a sly look and grinned. Uni blushed a little but began to cough. “How about we continue the tour?” Uni walked away and left the kitchen, followed by Luna when he entered a truly large… room? If it could be considered a room. It was three maybe four times larger than the kitchen, and yet every spot was filled to the brim; each wall was stacked with shelves and within those shelves were books. It felt like a mini library… it pretty much was a mini-library. Certain sections were listed off – Science, Math, History, English, Health, Music, Home Economics, Technology, Art, Drama, Construction, and Language. Heck, there was even a section for comics and manga – there was a strange plaque below the listed sign that said, “Please return said books to correct order… I AM TALKING ABOUT YOU – LUNA!” There was also a sizable office-like table with a comfy arm-chair made of a soft material with an earthy green color. The table had a lamppost, some pencils and pens, four drawers with one holding different kinds of papers ranging from lined to printer paper. One drawing holding more supplies, and the other two holding files – while they were locked, they both had a tiny golden plaque that said “Files 1 & Files 2” on them. The only window was behind the desk and was the size of nearly the entire walls of the room; it was currently closed with deep red curtains which can be opened with long dirty gold ropes. Uni was currently having a lot of things going through his mind… but this was probably one of the biggest questions he had to ask… and he could of said it any way… but instead said in the most simplest, yet confused manner he could possibly be able to do said action. “Just… Why?” asked Uni, spreading both arms pointed toward… everything. “I did hinted that Celestia gave Rainbow a few books to try and read; she’s a huge bookworm… Well being the Principal of a school, you gotta be knowledgeable about things… Though she started gaining a strong fascination with comics and this… Mon-ga?” “I think your saying it wrong; I believe its pronounced, Mang-gah.” “Well, either way… While I do watch some anime and read the manga only so I can catch up for said anime… Her love for it is… more stronger; similar to that of me with video games.” Uni came to a strong realization and with a look that just screamed of zero cares – or fucks in this case. Grrreeeaaat; the Principal is a bloody Manga-reader, and the Vice-Principal is a Gamer-freak… And I’m living with both of them. Don’t forget that their damn bloody, sexy, fucking, hoooooaaaaahhhhtttt! ...I hate you Bill… I try my best. The sheer collection of books ranged to most being for educational reasons, some for a simple read, while others held… other purposes. Uni noticed one certain shelf that was left alone in its own corner and held ancient, aged books. Reaching for one book caused a sudden ache on his outstretched hand… Luna smacked his hand. “YOWCH! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?” “I’m very sorry Uni, but those books aren’t to be touched… They are somewhat of a pet project of my sister’s and while I do not bother her about her hobbies – often – this one in particular she’s been working on for nearly fifteen years… She has been… ‘researching’ something for a long time and has dedicated her free-time to this project, so I would happily please ask of you to not, I repeat. NOT! Touch any items from that shelf...” Uni rubbed his hand and glanced at the shelf. While curiosity grew in his mind he sighed and accepted this rule… for now. “Okay; I’ll try not to bother your sister’s hobbies.” “Thank you… Now, let us head to our next destination; the living/family room!” said Luna, excitement in her voice. It made Uni confused with why Luna was suddenly happy, but when he entered the room… He understood why; to some extent. The room had two couches and a single armchair with comfortable pillows placed on specific parts of the couch. An alcove was made which held some potted plants; the smell of fresh flowers was in the air. Another interesting fact was… their TV. Nothing was odd about it being a simple TV for someone with their yearly income, but what was strange was something else. Inside some see-through drawers were… “Consoles?” said Uni, more in confusion than a question. “Since Celestia does not wish to have my consoles kept in my room; accept for my laptop, and my first classic console. All them were kept here, and I made the TV stand myself to improve gaming proficiency and all. The see-through drawers don’t work like normal drawers where instead you open them like a mail slot, so you can simply turn the device on and place a game in. Of course you can open them too like drawers if I needed to check my consoles for repairs or such. There is of course drawers for games – categorized in consoles, genres, age rating, and release date. Here I keep all my Minbende games, and my Z-Case games are held here, while my EntertainmentSpot games are here. I also have some classic old YEGA games too.” Luna was busy drowning herself in her own knowledge of games that Uni was distracted by something else. The sound of something scratching against glass could be heard; a simple turn and he saw a very familiar face. OBSIDIAN! The black doberman was trying to get Uni’s attention by pawing the window of one of the alcoves with no plants on it. The dog while unable to smile had a happy aura about it, that appeared the second Uni spotted him. It began to yip happily but at that same time, Luna turned to look at Uni until she noticed him looking at something. “Dear Uni? Is something the matt-” Luna spotted Obsidian, and while Uni’s heart was bursting out of its chest, Bill had one thought – or word for him – to say about this new situation. Run. At that the same time; after Sunset have spoken with her friends about how to find out where Uni lives. Sunset returns to her home after saying good night to her friends, and the second she approaches the front of the apartment… she sees some sort of commotion happening. What’s happening? Getting closer she sees a small crowd and, an ambulance. Near the entrance of the apartment she can recognize the landlord of the building; Bright Vocals. The young looking man, while mostly handling the paperwork part of the building while his grandfather leads all the employees and any new occupants staying. As Sunset approached the crowd, she realized the crowd consisted mostly of random bystanders who don’t live in the apartment and a few of the more… troublesome occupants. A few of these occupants is an old lady who should be staying in an old retirement home but says she can afford something that costly… even though its for free. The other occupant is a middle-aged man, who keeps complaining his room is in disrepair and needs proper maintenance, even though he was given multiple notices that every room in that floor is having problems for six months; way before he came living here. Then finally… there’s “him” or in specifically, “him and his group”; ever since the Mane Event, an outside musical group has become jealous of Sunset and her friends… even though the contest was simply a fun way for the students to express their musical talents and for competitive challenge. This musical group has caused several problems to Sunset and her friends, and a few problems to the school itself. Luckily they are on a final warning any more harassment of any kind would mean a sue so large that they’d be in-debt for nearly a quarter of their lives… or worse, banned from making any public music appearances… ever. This musical group so far haven’t done anything for this warning to happen, but their leader – while not causing any problem himself – still finds way to make Sunset’s life as if it were Tartarus. Their leader would cause the apartment’s staff problems, which of course effects Sunset in some way. He would also take any chance to aggravate Sunset but also looking like it was a simple coincidence… but the worse of all of this… was that he was the reason why the elevators are always “Out of Order”. You see… every time the elevator does work, he somehow caused the elevator to stop working; usually by reporting something is wrong with the elevator. Sometimes when this happens nothing is actually wrong with the elevator so it was a waste of time for everyone. Though, other times it does have a problem, but either way, it causes the elevator to be stopped and checked for any problems… safety all that. That same man was currently standing so close to Bright, he was literally invading his personal space… it made Sunset wished she came her demonic-like powers… so she could fry his- No no… We promised not to try any… attempts of causing harm to others… Even if they deserve it… If I can forgive the Sirens, I can forgive him too. That was until the rocker began to step on poor Bright’s foot… intentionally. Nevermind, his a jackass. “OH! BRIGHTY; WHY’S THE BLOODY AMBULANCE HERE! SOMETHING BETTER NOT HAD HAPPENED!?” shouted the rocker, in which his actual name shall not be spoken. “Please, there is nothing to worry. One of our occupants here was found injured; it is however nothing serious so please return to your rooms. And I must ask everyone who doesn’t stay here or have family staying here to leave; there is no need for everyone to crowd here,” said Bright, his passive talk coming up. “No need to worry! A bloody girl with her two friends came by here, limping, from what they say was an assault! And you say there’s nothing to worry!?” shouted the old lady, waving her cane around. “Again, this happened hours ago, and they saw they were attacked by something… Well they won’t say what they were attacked by but their fine and-” Bright was stopped when the middle-aged man grabbed by the collar of his shirt and hefted him up. “Now you listen you little pipsqueak; whether some bunch of girls get hurt because they wandered in the wrong part of town, ain’t my business. However, the alarm was activated and I was forced to leave my home with everyone else! SO YOU BETTER EXPLAIN THAT, YOU LITTLE SHIT!” “Sir please, one of our newer employees overreacted when she saw the girls and pulled the alarm. She has only been here for two days and her training wasn’t complete. You must understand-” “Oh I understand; I understand that you can’t properly prepare your own workers for a simple situation when some random person walks in bleeding and instead of calling ambulance first, they go pull the alarm, forcing everyone to come down to the foyer and see a girl bleeding from her ears. That is the first thing I never wanted to see in the evening; especially when I was in the middle of an ‘important’ call!” “I’m sorry sir I-” “FUCK YOUR SORRYS! I MISSED A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO GET OUT OF THIS SHITE OF AN APARTMENT AND AN EVEN SHITTY OF A TOWN; YOU PIECE OF CRAP!” The man was about to knock Bright into next Tuesday when the man felt an arm around the hand holding Bright. “Who in the bloody-” Before this was answered, Silent Whisper pulled back his other arm and gave the man a good kisser to his mouth. The man stumbled and dropped poor Bright as he shook from the sudden physical contact; Sunset did not hesitate and moved to Bright’s side to help him up. “Are you alright Bright?” asked Sunset. “I-I-I-I-I… T-Th-Tho-Thi-nk I n-e-ne-neh-need to go t-t-t-to-to b-be-bbb-bed,” said Bright, frightened beyond belief. Sunset looked at the quiet but furious Silent Whisper; while the old man didn’t look much, one time when Sunset’s first weeks here, a man was giving her a very lustful look that Sunset was oblivious of. One day when the same man was at the foyer, he attempted to make a move on Sunset when Silent slowly crept behind him, stalking him just as he done to Sunset… except when he neared Sunset; he grabbed him by the shoulder, and pulled him by the ear and whispered, “Boy, do you know what they do to people like you to prison? They give the same thing, that you were going to give to that young lass… You better scram and leave this town, before your ass is mine.” On that day, that man never came back, but Silent wasn’t done as he did indeed call the cops on him and he’s currently in prison… However, since his crime wasn’t clear and that he was sent to jail for suspicious activity for half a year… That of course can change if Silent were to quote-on-quote, speak of the incident. Sunset didn’t know of this until later and was out right confused since… well she was a being from another world and such actions are unheard of in Equestria. So when Silent was outright surprised she didn’t know what the man’s attentions were, and told her… Well let’s say Sunset started to cry and nearly had a panic attack for a week; she was relieved to stay home but decided to stay where Bright and Whisper live… it became awkward for Whisper since Bright had to watch the apartment… So he was left with an unstable teenager girl who was told she was this close to becoming a “predator’s” prey – Sunset found the analogy funny, while not understanding its true meaning – it became more awkward by the fact that Sunset would end up sleeping by leaning against Whisper’s shoulder… it reminded Whisper of being a father-figure again… he of course never said that to Sunset or Bright for if he did he’d punch the closest person to him – of course not Sunset, and if it were Bright he’d hold him in a head-lock. Nevertheless; one lesson Sunset learned about Whisper… is that you don’t mess with people he considered family… and Bright and Sunset were the closest few to family he had considered other relatives lived afar or were busy with their own lives. There was of course others like the employees and some of the nicer occupants, but Bright and Sunset were as close as a real family; whether blood-related or not. The man stood up – well more like stagger – as he tried to look intimidating toward Silent… until the police arrived. “Alright alright, everyone please leave. Anyone who stays here must return to their rooms. Move along move along!” shouted one of the police. The middle-aged man glared angrily but obliged as he left with the other occupants. Silent’s body slackened as he helped his nephew up with the assistance of Sunset. The police approached Bright, Silent, and Sunset, ready to question the situation. “As to what the previous incident was all about, we can handle later… So; what happened to the three girls… Also, who might this be?” “She’s an occupant of the apartment… she is actually a neighbor to the three victims… A family friend,” said Bright, standing up straight. “Wait! Neighbor? YOU MEAN THE SIRENS!” “The who?” said everyone present. “Its their band name at our school. Anyway, did something happen to them, are they alright! Ihopethey’refine,pleasetellmethey’refine,ohmyCelestiathey’renotfine,they’rehurtaren’tthey-” Sunset was silenced by a firm pat to the head as Silent ruffled her hair. Sunset, while finding it a bit rude, found it pleasing too. “Well… They’re near the ambulance car around the corner; since you know them you can see if their alright,” said the officer. Sunset nodded in thanks and left immediately; turning to the corner she spotted the Sirens. While Adagio and Aria’s injuries weren’t that serious, Sonata was the only one in a stretcher. Sunset skidded to a halt and reached toward Sonata. “Sonata, girls! What happened!?” Sonata opened her eyes and stared at Sunset, where she did spoke – loudly. “Whaaaattt?” asked Sonata, her voice weak. Sunset tilted her head and looked at the others as why Sonata can’t hear her properly. “Sonata’s hearing got shot, but the paramedics said she’ll be find for a day or two...” “That’s good, but what happened?” “We… we were attacked… by a floating triangle,” said Aria, embarassed. Sunset was the one now confused and she stared with utmost frustration whether Aria was being sarcastic… or serious. “A floating… triangle?” “Whatever you hear from us, we’re telling the truth and what attacked us isn’t from this world or from Equestria… It was something entirely different; it was capable of changing the reality of the world, but its abilities seemed to be… weakened or something… Like someone was holding it back.” A floating triangle that’s working for someone? This is worse than I thought… I need to tell Twilight, quickly. “Are you girls going to go to the hospital?” “No; we’re going stay here but we can’t leave for a week. Luckily, that old guy and his nephew would bring us food. We had to tell our boss what happened, we were lucky that we didn’t get fired from hearing that we got quote-on-quote, mugged.” “That’s good; well I need to get to my room… I need to send a very important letter.” Sunset ran off saying goodbye and be safe, as she rushed to her apartment room to find her journal, and send an emergency letter to Princess Twilight… things are about to get worse from here on out. Author's Note This chapter was originally going to be longer but, I gotten lazy and I may have forgotten what to write about the story, so the continuation of the chapter will come... so in other words, this is part 1 of a the chapter with the second half showing more interaction with Luna/Uni/& Uni's dog, Sunset finding out Twilight is in the human world and more. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.6 Introductions Are Needed //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.6 Introductions Are Needed Time seemed to freeze for Uni, it was like that whenever things hit the fan – a certain brownish thing. Uni stared wide-eyed with terror at the one thing to ruin his plan, his loyal companion to the end; Obsidian. The black doberman had planted its snout on the glass window, its breath fogging the glass; Obsidian stared at Uni with a happy look in its eyes. SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT! Uni’s whole body was sweating – his hands, his feet, his face, his chest, especially his… “lower parts” – and as he slowly turned to face Luna… he realized she hasn’t made any sound or response. Partner… I think something happened to the VP. You don’t think? Well you better check. Uni wanted to continue psychically arguing with Bill but he was right; turning slowly but quickly as well, Uni was met… with a happy Luna. No wait she wasn’t happy… SHE WAS ECSTATIC! “A DOGGY!” shouted Luna. “Whut?” In the speed to break the sound barrier, Luna ran past – or ran over – Uni and smushed herself against the window. She stared down at Obsidian as it continued to pant as it stared up at Luna with a weird far-off look. “Oh aren’t you just the cutest thing eeevaaarr!” Uni slowly got up but as he was going to, Luna ran over him again as she rushed to the front door. “...Ow...” Luna reached for the front door and as she opened it, Celestia stood there – she held her purse and a bag of groceries – she too was shocked from her sister opening the door so suddenly. “Oh sister, mind helping, the other groceries are in the-” Luna went past Celestia as if she was nothing but air; Celestia stared where her sister was with a confused look, before sighing. “car.” Uni followed where Luna was and after he helped Celestia get the remaining groceries to the dining table, she helped him get his back straight – with a quick karate chop to the spine – in which he and Celestia went outside to find Luna. “What’s going on Uni?” asked Celestia. “I… can explain...” said Uni, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. The two made it to the back when they started hearing cooing and something talking like they were to a baby. “Oh who’s a good doggy! You are, you are!” “Oh no,” said both Uni and Celestia, both surprised by the others’ response to Luna’s talking. As the two turned, they found Luna with Obsidian – who was laying on Luna lap – as Luna scratched the back of Obsidian’s ear as the dog simply relaxed. Uni was ready to explode, but Celestia quickly caught to his response before he could speak. “LUNA! You better give me a good response why you ran past me and to a stray dog like that all of a sudden?” “But look at him Tia, isn’t he just the cutest. He was staring at me from the window I could tell; look!” Luna propped Obsidian up as his front legs dangled out before Luna; Obsidian looked at Celestia then Uni and barked. “Wuf!” Luna made a squeal as she started hugging the dog tightly; Celestia sighed and looked at Uni but noticed he stared at the dog venomously. “Uni… Do you know this dog?” Uni was busy angrily glaring at Obsidian to realize who he was speaking to and spoke out of instinct. “Yep; his my dog.” You stupid stupid idiot. The sound of Bill facepalming in Uni’s head, echoed. Crud. “Oh really?” Celestia folded her arms, while Luna continued to snuggle Obsidian; Uni simply chuckled awkwardly before gulping before he spoke his final – possible – words. “He… followed me...” Elsewhere; Sunset immediately went to her room and as she searched for her journal, she started thinking about many things in her mind about what has recently happened today. Must tell Twilight about what happened! Uni is the new transfer student! I hope Sonata will be alright… and the other sirens. Where is that damn journal!? I knew I shouldn’t eaten that burrito for breakfast. “Finally!” shouted Sunset, before shushing herself. After checking nobody heard her, she opened the journal and was ready to send a message to Twilight… when she noticed a new message in her journal. Sunset read the message carefully, drinking everything written, but when she reached the very bottom of the message… her heart started drumming like a rocket. “Twalaght is hare!” shouted Sunset, her voice squeaking. Sunset nearly collapsed as she sat on her couch and started to feel her heart ready to bounce out of her body. She slowly calmed herself as she placed her hand where her heart was and breath in and out every two seconds. Stay calm Sunset… I need to get them to my place… but we can’t be out this time… but I do know who can help me get them without getting trouble with curfew. Sunset reached for her cell, clicked a certain contact, and waited for “her” to answer. A jingle later, Sunset got a certain southern voice responding back. “Hey Sunset; its almost sundown, is there something wrong?” asked Applejack. “No no… well there is, but I need your help. Do you have your keys?” “Uhhh yeeah? ...Sunset, I hope you’re not starting to be one of those friends who give bad advice when secretly they have a thing for another friend, but want to get their attention by doing reckless things… Are you?” Sunset was about to respond but gave a weird look as she stared back at her phone and spoke. “What? No! Where did you get that ide- Rarity?” “Rarity; she lent those weird romance books to me after I looked at one of her favorite books. I was just skimming one book. ONE!” “Then why are you reading them?” “… … …Never mind that; what is this about Sunset? Why do you need my car?” Sunset took a deep breath and spoke her reason. “Twilight… She’s back,” said Sunset, a mix of joy and anxiety in her voice. Applejack was silent, but a faint gasp was heard before Sunset swore she heard a swear – or one of Applejack’s southernisms – until she spoke again. “I’ll be at your place in five minutes; get ready,” said Applejack. Sunset made a confirmed yes and as she ended the call, she changed to a new set of clothing and waited downstairs for Applejack. I wonder who else Twilight brought with her… I wonder if she brought Spike, and maybe somepony else. “I’m soooo boooreed,” said Discord, slouching against the school’s statue. Twilight, Discord, and Spike waited for this friend of Twilight’s in this alternate reality; Discord lazily leaned against the statue as he placed a gloved hand on his mouth. Twilight was busy reading the recently new entries on the journal from Sunset, while Spike sat down nearby, waiting for Sunset to arrive. “When is this friend of yours going to come? Why can’t we simply go about and take in the sights?” asked Discord, with a grin that spoke all the wrong reasons. Twilight flipped through another page without looking up at Discord. “Again, we don’t know about this town, and even though I been here before – twice – I had only been here for a few days at most, and it was mostly around the school. Sunset has been here as long as four or five years, so she should know her way around here… so wait for now Discord,” said Twilight. Discord grunted in annoyance before examining his cane; Spike continued to sit down and was beginning to feel drowsy when he heard something. It was a soft but audible sound that slowly grew; coming around a turn was a big red truck, that slowly stopped in front of the school. Stepping out was the one person that Twilight had been waiting for, as two words were enough to tell her who it was. “PRINCESS TWILIGHT!” shouted Sunset, running toward them. Following behind was Applejack who stepped out of the truck; the two girls were wearing some clothing that showed while it was getting dark, it was still warm. “SUNSET! It’s so good to see you!” said Twilight, reaching in for a hug. The two girls hugged one another where Applejack came by, and saw the small figure of Spike who came up to the girls. “Hey there Spike; how’s working with Twilight been?” “Its nothing I can’t handle,” said Spike, standing on two paws and pointing one paw to himself. At that time when everyone was getting to reacquaint one another, a tall ominous figure approached from behind; Sunset and Applejack were the first to notice and looked up to see Discord, showing off his snaggle-toothed grin. “Hello there girls, it is a pleasure to meet you; Discord, the Spirit of Chaos,” said Discord, with a small bow. At the mention of his name, Sunset instantly sprung into action and tackled Discord; Applejack tried her best to pry Sunset off the lord of chaos, before Twilight joined to help. After some quick explaining on Twilight’s part, Sunset was the first to explode in confusion and fury. “YOU BROUGHT HIM!” “Please Sunset, Discord’s reformed, a lot has happened while you were gone. Discord is actually the one to find out that the cause of the anomalies in Equestria is coming from here,” said Twilight. “For that reason, I had to bring Discord and that we haven’t seen a version of Discord in this world.” “Really? It would have been so satisfying to see another me.” Discord smiled about the thought before he found himself being stared down by all those nearby. “What? It would have been nice to find someone who had similar tastes of mine.” After sighing, Twilight returned to the main reason why they came here. “Anyway… We’re here because of some strange anomaly is happening in town, we’ll be here until we find out what’s causing said anomaly.” “That’s fine… You can stay at my place, I have enough space for you guys… But he needs to behave,” said Sunset, glaring at Discord. “Don’t worry… I’ll behave.” Discord and Sunset stared at one another – one’s was lidded while the other stared with mistrust in their eyes – when Applejack stopped their staring. “Alright alright, stop with the staring! Let’s get in my truck, I don’t want to be out here when curfew starts.” With that, everyone stepped into the truck of Applejack’s – Applejack being the driver, Sunset in the side seat, Twilight and Discord sitting in the back with Spike on Twilight’s lap – and went their way. Elsewhere at the same time; Celestia, Luna, Uni, and Obsidian – who was panting and sitting near Luna – were all together on the dinner table. A spread was prepared, and before anyone could readily eat, Celestia waited patiently about Uni’s story of how and why he owns Obsidian. Luna busied herself by surprisingly not playing video games, but by petting Obsidian obsessively, making cooing noises and quiet giggles. “And that is how I gained ownership of Obsidian… ever since then his been loyal to me, and has followed me… well… anywhere,” said Uni, fumbling with his fingers. Celestia looked back with her hands grasped together before looking at Obsidian who stared back at her with his eyes. Those eyes are… Celestia shook the thought away and returned her focus back to Uni. “Well… considering that while you don’t have any ownership papers on you… I don’t think you could of made up that story on the fly, so that is why there is one final question I need to ask you. Why did you name him Obsidian?” Crap, I don’t know what to do?! Well think of something, fast! Your the one to bring us down into this situation, and you are the one to bring us out! With nothing else to think of, Uni simply scratched his chin and smiled innocently with a dumbfound expression. “I… didn’t… he told me to call him that,” said Uni, chuckling guiltily. “He?” “Obsidian… he told me to call me that...” Celestia raised her brow, but before she could respond, Obsidian moved from his spot and approached Celestia. “Ohhh, come baaack,” said Luna, sadly. Obsidian climbed up and laid his head on Celestia lap; Celestia was shook from the sudden contact, but relaxed. Obsidian stared up at her with his yellow eyes, until it began to climb up and start licking Celestia on the face. Celestia tried her best to fend herself, but was overwhelmed until she tumbled off her seat, and left as a pile with Obsidian on her – still licking her face. “AHHH! STOP STOP STAAAAHH AHAHHA HAHHHA!” Uni watched this until he got off his seat, and ran toward Celestia and Obsidian, before grabbing Obsidian by the mid-section, and lifting him up. “OBSIDIAN STOP!” shouted Uni. The doberman stopped, but switched targets and pounced toward Uni, the dog began to lick Uni viciously as Uni was left in a pool of dog drool. Celestia got up and looked at herself, before sighing; she later grabbed a clean cloth and wiped the drool, off before lending in another cloth to Uni after Obsidian was done with his lick attack. “T-Thanks...” Uni wiped the drool off before putting the cloth on the dining table. “Do you believe me now?” Celestia looked back at Obsidian – he was with Luna as she scratched him behind the ears – and smiled. “Well, he is no ordinary dog… I suppose I’ll believe you now, but I will call back at your school to ask if you do indeed own a dog, alright?” said Celestia. Uni nodded, and gotten back up to his seat; the three continued their meal before which the dishes were cleaned, and Celestia guided Uni to his temporary room. The room was a simple room with its own bathroom, and closet – a bed was placed near the corner and close to the washroom, the only source of light came from a window placed on the top of the room where sunlight and other sources of light would come through, right now the only light was coming from a lamp. “You’ll stay here until we can find a more permanent place for you to stay; many of our students live by themselves, like Sunset.” “Sunset lives alone?” “Now now, don’t get ideas; while you two may be old friends… Having a boy and girl stay close in the same building or floor is a bit-” “I-I-I WOUL-ULD N-NO-T! Sunset’s an old friend, I would never!” Celestia’s expression changed to a coy smile before chuckling, Uni sighed as he was tricked by Celestia. “By your reaction, I suppose you are indeed being honest… Well, I must go; while the weekend is indeed coming up, you still have a lot of work to catch up on… it is the middle of Spring after all, so I hope you’re well with adapting with sudden changes.” Celestia left Uni’s new room; Uni did not bring a lot of his personal items, as he only brought two bags – one his school bag, the other a luggage bag. The school bag had his pencil case, some binders, an agenda, notebook; the luggage bag had something interesting items other than the needed essentials like some toothpaste, a toothbrush, some shampoo, a brush for his hair, and spare cloths, but other than that, a strange object was in the luggage. It was as big as his hand but wasn’t that interesting… to the common observer. The object was a pendant, with strange symbols etched on to it; a soft glow came from the pendant before it stopped. “No abnormal sources here… With that done,” said Uni, slowly turning to face to particular figures. “Explain; why are you here Obsidian, and why did you not tell me you knew Bill?” Bill floated beside Obsidian who sat down, staring back at Uni; Bill calmly raised one hand as he lazily pointed a finger toward Obsidian. He did it. Obsidian turned to face Bill, before he growled back at Bill… Uni sighed knowing this was going to be a loooong night. Why can’t I have these two not be at each others throats. Sunset stepped out of Applejack’s truck, followed by Twilight, Spike, and Discord. “Thanks for doing this Applejack,” said Sunset, closing the truck’s door. “No problem; at least now we have a reason for setting up that picnic,” said Applejack. “See you on Sunday!” Sunset nodded, as she watched Applejack drive away; Sunset went inside as Discord, Spike, and Twilight followed behind. Once inside, Whisper was at his usual spot until he spotted the two newcomers – either he not noticed Spike or didn’t bother as he didn’t knew Spike could talk – and stood up with a purposeful slowness. Sunset saw what was to come and approached the old man. “Uh Whisper, these are some friends of mine. Their out of town and came over to visit; is it alright they could stay at my place for awhile?” Whisper looked at Sunset, and glanced at her “friends”; the girl with purple dress was okay… but the tall man with that strange get-up was a bit suspicious… too suspicious. Whisper walked up to Discord before Sunset could stop him, where the two ended up giving each other the eye. “Hello, how can I help you?” asked Discord, with an innocent smile. Twilight watched, her sweat going down like a waterfall, Spike watched and knew not to speak up for if he did… then the situation would be worse as it is. Whisper continued to give Discord the eye, before Discord did something nobody expected him to do – he started making faces. Sunset and Twilight were now raining down sweat, when suddenly Whisper gave a surprised look… before he chuckled. Sunset has never heard him chuckle or make any sound of amusement, not once, so hearing him chuckle was… well pleasing. Whisper’s chuckle was somewhat relieving as it gave a warm feeling inside you; Whisper tapped Discord’s should and walked past Sunset and made her hair a mess after he started shaking her lightly. “I know I know, I’ll try not make a mess…” said Sunset, leaving with the others. Before Sunset could head up the stairs, she turned to Whisper. “Whisper… Thanks...” Sunset went up the steps; Whisper was busy reading a newspaper but a smile crept up the old man, and he spoke when he was sure he was alone. “You have some interesting friends...” Sunset approached the door of her room, and unlocked it with her key, once inside the group made themselves comfortable. Discord removed his jacket and slung it over a chair, while Twilight settled herself on the couch with Spike exploring Sunset’s home. Sunset sat opposite of Twilight on an armchair and focused her attention toward Twilight. “What’s this about abnormalities Twilight?” asked Sunset. “We can worry about that later… What’s this about a boy?” asked Twilight, with inquisitive look in her eyes. Discord caught the question and approached with intrigue, while Spike later came along and noticed the conversation. Sunset blushed and shied away as she covered her face with her own clothing, slowly ducking her head in her shirt. “I… it… he… his an old friend… when I first came here; his name’s Uni, he can be somewhat rude somewhat like Rainbow but his a swell guy – not that I have any interest on him!” said Sunset, waving her hands in panic. “My my, this has gotten interesting – strange magical bubbles, an old friend, and this place is just… BRIMMING with chaos… Almost as if something is spewing the stuff out like fire.” Twilight found that last point odd but ignored Discord before going back to Sunset. “Well I’m happy you knew someone here, but there’s also something else I need to know. What is this about a yellow triangle terrorizing the Sirens?” At that Sunset stopped her embarrassment and calmed her nerves before continuing to speak once more about the strange attack on Adagio and her group. “A strange entity attacked them, but I’m not sure why… If this thing has anything to do with strange anomalies appearing all over Equestria then we might want to find out what this thing is and its master.” “Master?” “This thing has a boss… Interesting.” “There’s a guy called Uni?” Everyone looked at Spike’s remark, as he looked back with a defensive pose. “What?! I just joined the conversation!” Twilight sighed and continued to respond with what she now knows. “Well we can figure all of this later… For now, we need to rest; Discord can sleep on the couch, while myself and Spike can stay in the guest room, if that is alright with you Sunset.” “Of course; well, have a good night everyone.” Sunset got ready to sleep, as well as everyone else, but after a few hours, Sunset couldn’t sleep and went to the kitchen to grab a quick snack, when she saw Discord on the patio. Discord stared off to the night sky, a strange look in his eyes as he was staring at a certain part of town for some odd reason. Sunset sneaked up behind him, but the chaos spirit wasn’t that easy to sneak behind. “Is something the matter… Lightstop was it? “Sunset… What are you doing here, shouldn’t you be asleep?” “Oh I thought some stargazing would be a good way to keep myself busy before I took a nap...” Sunset looked out and noticed how nice it was tonight; the moon was out, as the stars surrounded it, giving a blue light around the town. It looked so peaceful, but Sunset felt an uneasiness… it was unnoticeable but now she looked more carefully, something was definitely off, and she wasn’t alone. “You feel it, that raw energy… I haven’t felt something this strong since-” Discord stopped himself, before he had a far off look in his eyes. He then stretched his limbs and yawned loudly, stopping Sunset in her own dazed look. “Welp, I’m pooped; have a good rest, Miss Lightstop.” “Its Sunset.” Sunset watched Discord disappear into the darkness of the living room, before she too returned to her room. That night, the town slept peacefully… ignorant to the strange rifts appearing in the sky. That Saturday, not much occurred other than that Twilight, Sunset, and Discord – with Spike of course – explored town to see if they could find anything. At that same day Uni was going out alone, and nearly met them… that however is another story to tell later; so far nothing much happened, other than that Bill was busy roaming around, while Obsidian stayed behind with Luna and Celestia. The day prior afterwords… that was when things started to get interesting; the day was planned by the girls for a picnic by a hill near Applejack’s place, where they all meet around noon, but before that, the girls had one final thing to do… They had to find out where Uni was staying and invite him, it was easier than they thought… problem was that something… came up… A certain blue-haired problem. Author's Note We reaching some interesting stuff as the characters will start to meet one another; sadly that has to be stopped by another mini-chapter: Time for some mall shenanigans! //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.6.5 High On Chaos //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch.6.5 High On Chaos Celestia & Luna’s Home, Uni’s Temp Room. The was like any day and since it was the weekend, the students had time to do whatever they want; some would hang with friends, others shopping, or stay home. Today however, Uni woke up from a knock from his room… well he was awake earlier, but decided to get some extra hours in. The knocking was steady but quiet enough to not cause that big of a ruckus, Obsidian brought his head up as he looked at the door before going to it and sitting right in front. The door opened and it was Luna – she wore her sleeping close still – showing the signs she recently woke up. “Uni, its time to wake up,” said Luna, quietly. Luna could barely see in the darkness of the room but after adjusting her eyes, the first thing she spotted in the darkness was- “OBSIDIAN! Good morning; did you sleep well!?” And with that Uni opened his eyes and rose up from his sleep, glaring at the noise, his eyes bloodshot. “No… noise...” Luna put one hand on her lips, smiling sheepishly. “Opps… Sorry Uni, but Celestia has told me to wake you up for breakfast.” “Sure sure… I’ll be down.” Uni got off his bed and entered the bathroom; Luna looked down once more and stretched one hand toward Obsidian, inching him to come to her. “Come come Obsidian, let’s get you something to eat.” Obsidian barked – which caused Luna to aw – before following Luna downstairs. Sunset’s Apartment, Sunset’s Room; at the same time, Sunset, Twilight, Discord, and Spike sat – well Spike was on the ground with a plate for him to eat – around the dining table, eating breakfast. Discord found a newspaper, reading the comic section, Twilight busied herself by reading the journal while Sunset ate an apple and toast, with some apple juice. After Twilight was done with overlooking any recent updates from the journal, closed it and looked up at Sunset as she chewed on her apple. “Sunset, now that we been informed about the goings on in your part of this world, I can conclude that whatever is happening is definitely happening around town. We should go somewhere that may attract tons of magical energy… somewhere crowded.” At the mention of the word crowded, one place came up which gave Sunset a concerned look – for many reasons. “Well… there is the mall, but I’m not sure we should go there,” said Sunset, chewing her apple. “Why not?” Sunset twiddled with her fingers before looking at the screen-door to the patio; she was gazing toward the mall… and the number of people there. “While I’m used to this world… I still have issues with large crowds. I only used to going there when I’m with the others… but I suppose we can go together, but we need to stay together, you do not want to get lost in there.” Twilight smiled, and stood up with a determined look. “Then let’s go – off to the mall!” When Twilight was about to bound off, Spike spoke up. “Uh Twilight… shouldn’t you change first?” “...Oh… Right; almost forgot.” Twilight rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment; Discord chortled in laughter, finding the almost accidental move amusing. Celestia & Luna’s Home, Kitchen; after Uni finished preparing, she sat down to eat with the two sisters and Obsidian. Uni came downstairs, finding a small but sizable spread of toast, eggs, sausages, water and apple juice, fruit, and yogurt. Luna had some of her food eaten already and played on her Gameboy, before she slipped in a sausage for Obsidian to eat. Celestia came to the table with a plate of pancakes, when she saw Obsidian eating a sausage, looking up at Luna with her arms crossed. “Luna, don’t feed the dog, especially our food!” said Celestia. “But he has nothing to eat; we don’t have any dog food for him! What, do you expect food to pop up for him all of a sudden?” Celestia kept her arms crossed but sighed, agreeing with Luna; seems Celestia would need to go to the store and buy some dog food for Obsidian in the future. “Your right… Well I suppose Obsidian can have a little. Now then; Uni, while you are new in these parts, I thought you could take a walk around town, so you can get used to living here.” Uni stopped mid-bite and placed his utensils down to think – or speak with Bill. Bill, we can head out, maybe we can find those strange girls from before. Uni waited but there was no response, it was then he realized Bill… was gone. Huh… must of left earlier in the morning… Oh well, I guess I got to find those mysterious girls then. “Uhhh… sure I guess, but someone’s got to watch Obsidia-” “I’LL DO IT!” Uni looked at Luna’s enthusiasm – both bewildered and scared from her sudden answer. “I MEAN… I can watch him; he seems to be okay with me.” “I’ll help watching him too. Go out and see the sights in town… maybe you might see Sunset again,” said Celestia, winking. Uni groaned, as he put his plate away and got ready to go outside. After getting ready, Uni headed to the one place that needed to be checked first. Time to go shopping. I guess the mall is my first place to see. Canterlot High School, Front Entrance; Bill examined the area around the statue. Bill wandered around the school’s to statue, trying to find something… or someone; after finding those three strange girls, Bill knew something was off about this school… then he found it. Well look at that, the statue is a portal… but where? Can’t be some sort of way to my place, and I doubt Ford has anything to do with this. Bill continued to examine the strange statue, when he spotted a familiar girl; it was Sunset, and she was with two others… but what was strange was that they weren’t anyone that Bill has seen before. While the other girl who wore a purplish dress was norm… the tall man in the brown suit, couldn’t be said the same. I guess I can follow them, not sure what Uni would be doing right now… Better than waiting for a bunch of girls. Bill followed Sunset and her two guests; from Sunset’s perspective, she led Twilight, Discord, and Spike to the mall. As usual on a weekend, the place was full of people, some from school, adults, and families. The mall was bustling with life, and Sunset sighed having now arrived at one of her least favorite spots. I never really agreed with this place… its just so crowded; that one incident last Christmas was a real horror fest. “Okay you guys, we’re he-” “SO MUCH CHAOS!” Discord stepped forward, his eyes glowing… and he wasn’t alone. Sunset turned to Twilight and she was drooling on the edge of her mouth. “SO MANY THINGS TO LEARN! They even have a book store; its bigger than my place too!” Sunset watched Discord and Twilight ready to burst forward with excitement, grabbing both of them by the arm, she was able to hold them still from doing anything. “Now before we go, I think we should go in pairs. It’d be easier if we go about to find whoever tried to attack the Sirens… and I already made up the pairs. Twilight and Spike will go together – obviously – and myself and Discord will be together; since Twilight has a way of sensing of strong magical sources with her alicorn magic, and Discord… well...” “I am the Spirit of Chaos, I can sense powerful sources from a mile a way… This will be noooo problem,” said Discord, cracking his knuckles. “Now, let’s get started!” The two pairs went their separate ways, with Discord and Sunset going to the food court, while Twilight and Spike decided the big book store that Twilight saw earlier. Coming in the mall at the same time right behind them was Uni. Yeesh, for a town that was recently built, it sure has a big mall for its size. Uni wandered into the mall, not noticing Sunset as he walked into the book store. Celestia’s House, Luna’s Room; Luna played some video games on her computer, while Obsidian lazily relaxed on her bed. Luna played on an online game on her computer, some time after Uni left the house; Celestia busied herself in her personal library. With nothing much to do – and that Luna was occupied – Obsidian rose from his nap, and decided to explore the place. Quietly and stealthily, Obsidian managed to leave the room and once he reached the front door, opened it with his mouth. He ran out of the house and went to explore town; Obsidian having recognizing Uni’s scent, decided to go where he went. Canterlot Mall, Book Store; Twilight busied herself by reading stacks of books of any genre. Twilight had a stack of books by her side that consisted a bit of fantasy, some history books, and a particular book that was read backwards and was called, manga. Spike decided to busy himself by reading a comic book he was able to reach; the two didn’t notice Uni who walked right past them until he almost tripped on one of Twilight’s books. “Whoa!” Uni was able to grab onto something before he could fall, what he grabbed on though was the book Twilight was reading. The two stumbled over each other, before Uni ended up on top of Twilight. “Gaah!” After their tumble, Uni stretched out a hand to help Twilight up. “Sorry about that, I wasn’t looking and… and… Wow,” said Uni, his mouth agape. Uni met eye to eye with Twilight, and he was amazed; Twilight wore the same clothing she had on her when she first came to this different reality. Since Uni has lived in a forest town, there isn’t a lot of variety in people, so meeting Twilight was a big surprise – in other words, she was beautiful. “Uhhh, are you okay? You… you can let go of my hand now,” said Twilight, now standing. “Huh? Oh… OH! Sorry, sorry; I didn’t see you, and kind of tripped on these books, eh hhehee.” “That’s my fault, I kind of got distracted in these books, and I may have blocked the way. Its my fault that you tripped.” “Hey hey, its alright… Name’s Uni, yours?” “Twilight; Twilight Sparkle, I haven’t see you here before,” said Twilight, extending a hand. Uni accepted the hand shake, and explained about himself. “I’m new in town – transfer student – I’m kind of looking around, getting used to the area. What about you, you a local?” “No, I’m here to visit a friend… I’m kind of looking for something.” “Really? Looking for what?” Twilight was about to talk, but she didn’t want to say she was trying to look for a strong magical power source… especially to someone new in town. Uni was waiting for a response when he felt a tug on his leg, looking down he spotted Spike – who simply barked instead of actually speaking. Uni knelt down and scratched Spike behind the ear, causing him to sit a relax. Ohhhh, that’s goooood. “Nice dog you got, what’s his name?” asked Uni. “Spike; he’s sort of protective of me, especially around strangers. Don’t let his size fool you, he’s more tougher than he looks.” Uni glanced down to Spike who looked up at him in return. Uni helped Twilight with picking up the books she was reading. After that, they sat beside each other as Twilight placed the book she was reading aside. “So you came from a town called Gravity Falls, never heard of that place before.” “Not surprising; place is practically in the middle of a valley, so its pretty hard to locate.” Uni checked his phone for the time, and decided it was time to check the rest of the mall. “Well I gotta go, it was nice meeting you… Twilight,” said Uni. “Same to you too.” Twilight watched Uni leave the book store, and as he left Spike finally spoke. “Hey isn’t he that boy that Sunset told us about? He’s not what I thought he be like.” “Well he was nice meeting; maybe when Sunset properly introduces him to us, then we can get to know him better. Let’s go find Sunset and Discord.” After Twilight left with Spike, elsewhere with Obsidian; somewhere in town. Obsidian strolled through the streets, passing by people and cars, until he reached the edge of town to a forest. The edge of the forest was silent as the only sound was the wind rustling by the leaves; Obsidian stared amongst the darkness of the trees before stepping inside. After a few seconds of complete silence, a purple light glowed through the cracks through the shrubbery. From the darkness of the trees, two reptilian eyes stared back; a figure flew up to the sky, and disappeared. Canterlot Mall, Food Market; Uni wandered into the market after seeing Twilight, not noticing Sunset or Discord. That Twilight girl was nice, but she doesn’t seem to be suspicious. I should try finding those three girls Bill mentioned. Uni walked by a table that Discord was sitting on, both didn’t see each other, but Discord felt Uni’s faint power. Discord looked behind him but saw a crowd of people among their tables, not spotting Uni who left at the last second. Sunset came to the table with some food, and spotted Discord occupied with something. Placing the meal for the two of them – a salad for Sunset, and a dessert sundae for Discord – Sunset got Discord’s attention with a tap on his shoulder. “Discord, what are you looking at?” asked Sunset. “Ah nothing my dear, thought I felt something. You have my meal?” asked Discord, licking his lips. “You mentioned of these delicacies and I must taste them.” “I’m pretty sure this doesn’t count as a ‘meal’. Now, after this we’ll go meet up with Twilight and see what they found.” Sunset looked up only to catch Discord eating his sundae, sighing to herself, Sunset quietly ate her salad. Bill floated above them and noticed Uni too, but instead of going to him, he decided to continue listening into their conversation. Seems she’s looking for something… The day just gets, more and more interesting. The remainder of the day was boring as Twilight, Sunset, Discord, and Spike found nothing and returned to their apartment. Bill left that afterwords to find Uni, but before he could tell what he found out, Uni didn’t want to listen as he was unable to find the three mysterious girls Bill found the other day. Nearing evening, Bill and Uni returned to Celestia’s abode, when the front door opened with Luna – who was panicking and had her pajamas on still. “UNI! DO YOU KNOW WHERE OBSIDIAN IS!?” “Uhhh no… Is he with you?” “No! I was busy with… ‘things’ and when I turned around to give him a walk, he was gone! I searched the whole house and I can’t find him, I asked my sister and she doesn’t know where he is either; she said that he may have been with you, but if you don’t know where he is then where could he be!?” From the corner of Uni’s eyes, he spotted a purple light before it dimmed down; while Luna was busy with her panicking, he investigated. Turning the corner, he spotted Obsidian laying down on the grass – the grass was somewhat singed, as the tips were black. Uni leaned down to Obsidian, and patted his head. “Went for one of your ‘walks’ as usual, huh. Remember that Luna and Celestia are around now, so they don’t know what you usually do… so try not to cause another incident, please.” Obsidian whine but nodded in agreement, it was at that same time Luna joined them and spotted Obsidian. “OH THERE YOU ARE! Don’t do that Obsidian; now come on, let’s get inside. I’m not going to lose sight of you again!” Uni joined Luna inside, and did the rest of his activities indoors – this was him contacting his friends at Gravity Falls by internet, and some research around town. Bill floated by watching Uni do his business… when he felt that strange pull… as if something was trying to lure him in. What in the… “What’s up Bill?” asked Uni, noticing Bill’s odd behavior. “Something caught your attention?” No no… Just thought I felt something… Outside of Celestia’s home, a hooded figure holding a strange pendent stood by the house. The figure later left, entering a bus before the bus left with the hooded figure inside; where the figure was, a small portal – not big enough for any entities to step into or some out – appeared… a portal to Equestria. As soon it appeared, it vanished like air… Bill felt this strange energy but couldn’t pinpoint what or where it was coming from, and it wasn’t those three girls as what energy they expelled was more noticeable… this… this was something, else. Author's Note All the important characters have met or encountered one another in their own way, and with that this is the end of the 2nd filler-chapter. But who was that mysterious hooded figure... hmmmmm? This filler-chapter was after ch.6, right before ch.7 starts.
