Chapters Chapter 1 Death and rebirth
I had been shopping in the mall when it happened, I needed to pick up some books for a trip I was going on. As I got ready to head back to my car, I came across a store that wasn't there before.
'Guess I missed this store on my way in' I thought to myself as I went in 'I guess it wouldn't hurt if I browsed for a few minutes' I thought to myself as I entered the store to browse.
As I looked around the shop I saw various items from a few shows including Ben 10, Generator Rex, Star Wars: the clone wars and Avatar the last airbender/The legend of Korra. As I was browsing, I came across a couple of Avatar figurines, Raava and Vaatu.
I picked up the figure of Vaatu to look at it closer, however, when I picked it up it started to glow a Dark orange. Startled, I dropped the figurine on the ground. As I looked at it I noticed my hand beginning to glow the same color as the figurine.
"What?" I asked to nobody in particular as the figure started to disappear, and a hole took its place. It didn't take long for the hole to reach a size that I could fall down but I was too transfixed by what was happening before me to think about backing away. Before I knew it I had fallen into the black void within the hole.
I awoke in an empty field 'What happened?' I thought to myself as I tried to get up. Surprisingly, however, when I put my hand on the ground a strange sensation covered my body. This confused me slightly as it felt like Toph's seismic sense from the show and the sensation almost felt like it was pulling me somewhere.
"Okay I have a direction" I said to myself as I got up off the ground. Looking towards the direction the feeling was pointing me, I started walking. I didn't have anywhere else to go after all...
It took a lot of walking and considering if I should even continue following a feeling before I came across medieval looking village.
As I walked into the town I heard the sounds of people running into their houses, followed by the distinct sounds of doors slamming.
"I guess they don't like new people?" I asked as I came across a small horse walking up to me with a flower in its mouth. Before I could kneel down to pet the little thing another horse came out of nowhere and headbutted me, knocking me down,
"Huh... Weird" I said to myself as continued to explore the village.
The rest of the village was empty, apart from some eyes coming out of the windows. I realized something as I was walking, the houses were far too small for humans, so maybe there were not made for humans. 'Maybe the horses are the inhabitants' I thought with a smile as I thought on how ridiculous that would be. As I rounded another corner, a female voice called out behind me.
"What have you done to the ponies of this village, creature?" The voice said.
'Wait, did that she just say ponies?' I thought to myself as I turned around to see who it was that had spoken. Instead of finding a woman, I found a group of ponies in golden armor and a large horse bearing golden jewellery.
"I wont ask again. What have you done to them?" I looked at it for a moment, taking in the fact I was being threatened by a winged unicorn... a talking winged unicorn.
"They are hiding in their houses" I said, backing away slowly. As I turned away to try and get away from the horse I was shot in the back by the winged unicorn
"Ah! What the hell?!" I shouted as she looked at me with an almost evil look.
"We came here because you have been terrorizing villages in this area and we are going to stop you!" She said as I put my hands up.
"Look, Miss horse..." I started to say before she interrupted me
"Princess Celestia" she said.
"Okay, Princess, I just got to this village so I have no clue wha-" I was quickly cut off by an energy bolt from one of the unicorns
"Don't Lie to the princess" The Unicorn snarled.
As I tried to think of a way out of the predicament, a thought occurred to me.
Since I obviously could not talk my way out of this I decided to give it a try "There's no way you are going to believe me about being innocent in all this, Is there?" I asked
She gave me a cold look, conveying her response with that alone.
'I really hope this works' I thought as I punched the air. Miraculously enough, a fireball came flying out of my fist, hitting one of the guards. After a moment of shock, I smiled, before stomping my foot on the ground, causing a large rock to appear between me and the horses and began to run away from them. I really didn't want to fight them when I was outnumbered.
Celestia PoV
"I don't know where he went but I want him found" I ordered as the guards nodded "You five stay here and guard the town in case the creature comes back," The five I ordered saluted and went off to begin their tasks.
"The rest of you with me, we have a creature to catch" I said to the five other guards.
They began to follow me out of the village and into the surrounding woods we quickly found his prints on the ground.
We followed the prints to a clearing where the creature was talking to himself.
"Hopefully I lost them" he said, looking around the clearing, "well I guess I should..." he was interrupted by one of the guards stepping on a twig
"Who's there?" he called out, quickly moving into a defensive position. Seeing our cover was blown, I stepped out of our hiding spot to confront him
"Surrender peacefully or we will hurt you" I commanded as my guards surrounded him
"Look, I'm telling you I'm not what's causing trouble in that village, but I will defend myself if I have to" He said as he stomped on the ground, causing rocks to fly out of the ground.
I looked at him for a second before ordering my guards to attack the creature.
"I warned you" he said as he punched the air causing the rocks to fly towards me I put up a shield to block it and my guard broke one of the rocks before it could hit me.
"Are rocks all the best you can do?" I asked as he threw a fire ball at my shield. I rolled my eyes as I fired a magical bolt at him which sent him flying back onto the dirt. He got up and ran into a near-by cave, quickly sealing it behind him. I walked up the the wall and blasted it down, but he was already gone.
"You three stay here while we head inside the cave to bring him out" I ordered as we headed in
He already had a short head start but I knew we would catch him as there was only one way to go. We ran ahead and before long, we quickly caught up to the creature. As he turned around he backed away, not noticing the chasm behind him. It only took a moment for him to fall, and an audible crack emanate from below.
Smiling triumphantly, I flew down and brought the body up from the bottom of the chasm so I could show it to the village so they wouldn't have to worry about it anymore.
As soon as we got back to the village one of the guards I assigned to guard the village came up to me.
"We have another problem Princess It appears that the creature you've killed is only a recent event. The beast we were sent to hunt is still out there" The guard said
I looked down at the creature that had fallen to its death and mumbled "It was telling the truth" I looked at my chariot and came to a decision.
"I'm going to head back to canterlot to see If we can't learn anything from this creature" I said "The rest of you set up camp. I will return in three days time."

"Its a colt" The Shaman exclaimed happily as he handed the baby to his mother
"He's beautiful" the mother said as she held her little colt
"What shall we name him?' The father asked
"Zehire we will name him Zehire" the mother said
"Zehire we know you will do great things in your life"
- -Canterlot 600 years later- - -
"This is a statue of Zehire, the Executioner, whom lead the zebra Confederacy into a bloody war with Equestria, destroying countless villages and slaughtered numerous Ponies in his quest to take Equestria from Celestia." The tour guide said as he began to walk away. As he walked away, a griffon snuck into the line for the day court.
'We have some unfinished business, Celestia' The griffon thought as he waited in line.

Chapter 2 Battle with a princess
I was standing in the waiting room to meet with the princess, drinking a surprisingly lovely tea before a guard came up to me.
“Mam Its your turn to meet the Princess.” He said when he got a bit closer.
"Thank you" I said, getting up from my seat. I walked into the throne room to see Princess Celestia talking to a guard.
"Are you sure about that, Princess?" The guard asked.
She looked at me for a moment before turning back to the guard "We will talk about this later with Princess Twilight" she said before turning her attention to me "Hello, It's rare we get a Griffon in court what can I help you with?" she asked.
"Yes, somebody I know was killed on your soil and I need your permission to bring them justice" I said partly lying. I almost broke down with laughter when I saw her look of pure shock.
"Of course you have permission to bring them to justice. Let my guards help you, but if I may, who is the killer?" she asked as I smiled.
"You."
I slammed my talons down making two tiles next to me to fly up before punching the air. The tiles flew towards Celestia but were quickly blocked before they could hit her. She retaliated by sending a magical bolt which I blocked with another tile.
"Your going to need to try harder to kill me this time.”I said, getting ready for another attack.
But before I could even begin, I was shot out the room into the gardens.
"Okay... that was a good shot" I said as I got up. When I finally arose, I noticed my leg was twisted. Looking around, I saw a fountain near-by. Coming up with a plan, I limped to the fountain. As soon as I arrived at the fountain, I was surrounded by guards.
"Freeze we have you surrounded. Surrender!" A guard shouted as I waved my talons. Water flowed out of the fountain onto my talons and made my talons glow before I placed my glowing talon on my leg. The guards looked at me in confusion, not really sure on what to do.
"Let's go" i said, taking a long breath and exhaling fire, burning the guards. Some of them ran into the fountain to put out the fire, others just started rolling around on the ground.
"What's the matter? To hot to handle?" I quipped as I flew back into the palace to find Celestia, only to find her in a suit of golden armor.
'really wish I knew how to metalbend right now' i thought to myself as I was hit by a magical bolt to my back
"Sister, I saw this griffon attacking... why are you in armor?" Luna asked, flying down to the hole in the wall.
"I will explain later but right now we need to contain this griffon before she escapes" Celestia said. Luna nodded in response and looked down to see the griffon escaping.
"Since when were there two of them?" I asked to myself as I ran towards the walls. A magical bolt hit the ground near me, I would have shouted something back but I was busy running away to fight another day.
"Get back here!" Luna shouted while I turned around to launch a fire ball at her. Thankfully, it hit her. As she fell to the ground I grabbed a near-by pony.
"Let me go, or I kill her!" I shouted as Luna looked at me with a look of hatred. Clearly thinking I was bluffing, she tried to take a step forward. Only to end up being stopped by Celestia.
"Stand down" Celestia said to her guards. They backed down quickly as I walked into a stone wall.
"Now let her go." She ordered, seeing no reason to let this drag on, I let the hostage go before pounding the wall behind me and flying off.
A guard looked at Celestia and asked "shall we pursue her?"
Celestia looked at the guard "No by the time we ready a squad to follow her she will already be far gone, Instead send a messenger to Ponyville and gather Twilight and the council of friendship" she said as the guards looked at her confused.
"Its what the former Elements of Harmony are calling themselves" she explained as the guards looked even more confused "Just go" she ordered. The guard ran to gather some pegasi to fly to Ponyville.
An hour later
"Where am I?" I asked, looking around me for a familiar landmark, only to see nothing but unfamiliar terrain. I tried to stretch my wings but the sudden pain from overusing them forced me to close them again.
"Okay wont be flying for a while. Sure would be nice to have a giant dog or a six legged bison around" I said to nobody in particular.
I closed my eyes to sense near-by hoofsteps and I found a large concentration of them to the south of me which meant I was hopefully far away from Canterlot. Luckily for me Canterlot was to the west of here I could see the mountain from here so I started walking towards the town with nothing to lose.
Meanwhile Twilight PoV
"Twilight Sparkle, you and your friends must come with us" one of the guards said as we all followed him.
After a short walk we made it to the Palace throne room where I saw a hole in the glass window "What happened" I asked myself as I walked to the princesses "Prin- Celestia what happened here?" I asked.
Luna looked at Celestia before Celestia responded, "I will explain what happened soon but for now we need to head to the meeting room."
I nodded as we walked to the meeting room where some maids where finishing placing chairs.
"So what was with the hole in the wall?" Rainbow asked as we all looked at her.
"Rainbow Darling that is no way to ask... but In all honesty, why was your window broken?" Rairty asked.
"An hour ago, a griffon attacked me using abilities to control fire, earth and water." Celestia said. I gasped in astonishment while my friends looked at each other, confused.
"How could a griffon do these things?" I asked.
"Have any of you ever heard of Zehire the Executioner?" Celestia asked to everyponies confusion.
I raised my hoof "You taught me about him when I was your student, but what does that have to do with this?" I asked.
"Well I haven't told you everything about him, as he too had the these abilities and I believe they are connected via reincarnation" Celestia said as I tilted my head.
"How are you sure?" I asked.
"Simple they both referenced a similar event" she said as she clears her throat "600 years ago, there where some calls for aid at several border towns that a creature was attacking them when I got there I encountered a Bipedal creature whom could control fire and earth, In a quick battle we sent it retreating into a cave where it fell into a small chasm and broke its neck. When we returned to the village where we found it, I learned that it wasn't the creature that was attacking the towns as the villagers only started seeing that creature that day." she explained "I took the creature back to Canterlot to have it examined but we couldn't find anything of note on it. Its almost as if it appeared out of thin air" She said.
"Do you still have anything on it?" I asked.
"Why yes I do in fact have something here" she said as she unrolled a scroll, I noticed something familiar about that diagram.
"Hey Twilight isn't that a..." Spike began.
"...A human" I finished as everypony looked at me funny.
"Whats a human?" everypony asked.
"Well they are kind of hard to explain." I said "Basically they are the inhabititants of the world beyond the mirror portal" I explained.
"I'll contact Sunset and ask if she has any info that could help us" I said before asking "Why did you ask for all of us when spike and I would have been enough?" I asked.
"Well that is simple I wanted to tell you all at the same time When we find this griffon I want the six of you to reform her" She said to our confusion.
"Sister, why? She attacked in the middle of day court!" Luna said.
"Simple her abilities could help the world similar to Discord" Celestia said.
"Alright princess, we wont fail you" I said.

Zehire age 10
I awoke from the same dream of the stripeless white Zebra attacking me. I had no idea what it could mean I decided to head off to the shaman that lives off in the mountains. "(Mom I need some help)" I said to my mom as she turned to me as she was finishing setting up the table.
"(What do you need, my little Lion?)" she asked as I took a seat
"(Can you help me with packing a bag for a trip to see the shaman that lives on the mountain?)" I asked, she stopped placing the meal on the table and looked at me.
"(Why do you need to see him?)" she said before gasping "(Are you sick?)" she ran to me, placing her hoof on my forehead.
"(No mom I've just been having a weird dream over and over again and I want to know what it means.)" I said as she let go of my forehead.
"(No you can't go see the shaman as you have school today.)" she said as I started to eat breakfast. I started to plan a way to head out to see the shaman. I knew I had to see him, he was the only one who could explain those dreams.
After eating breakfast I headed out to school as I told my friend Zacora to cover for me as I headed towards the top of the great mountain the is at the foot of our village.
"(Where is Zehire?)" the teacher asked
"( Well, Ceaser Zehire is sick and had to go to the shaman.)" Zacora lied as the teacher went on with his work
"(Class, today we have a special guest to teach us today)" the teacher said as Xenith the mountain shaman came into the door as Zacora mouthed '(oh no)'
I spent the morning climbing the mountain the rest of the day waiting for the shaman as he wasn't there. About half the day passed before the shaman finally came to his hut "(What are you doing here, young one?)" The shaman asked as we entered his mountain side hut.
We sat down and he poured me a cup of tea "(I came here because I'm having the same dream every night and I want to know what it means)" I said.
Xenith looked at me for a moment before saying "(Why didn't you just see me at the school while I was there?)" he asked. I looked dumbstruck, before I could reply he got up from his stool and headed to his cabinet pulling out a weird herb, breaking it apart and placing in my tea.
"(Drink the tea It will show you the spirit realm)" He said. I took a sip of the tea. As the tea took effect I began to see a weird creature standing on two legs. I could not understand what It was saying but it did do some hoof motions that I mimicked and when the tea wore off. I found myself on top of a ball made of solid air.
"(Amazing. You have great power and your future may be a great one, but you must return home as the sun will soon rise)" He said. I gasped and rode as quickly as I could down the mountain on my air scooter. The shamans last words still going through my mind, ("Remember to meditate, it will give you knowledge).
As i got to my home I found my Mom awake and talking to my Dad "(He is in so much trouble when I find him)" she said. I wondered if they were talking about me.
"(Don't worry your pretty little head, his friend told us he went to see the shaman on the mountain. He should be fine.)" My dad said as I walked into the door, not wanting to worry them.
"(Hi mom, hi dad.)" I said in my lowest tone as they looked at me.
"(Zehire, where were you?)" mom asked as I mumbled "(speak up i can't hear you)" she said in an angry tone.
"(I went to see the mountain shaman about my dreams.)" I said as she looked at me
"(After I told you no?)" She said. I looked down onto the floor in shame.
"(Yes mom)" I said, she looked at me before Dad stepped in.
"(Son we are not mad we are just disappointed at you. You lied to your mother then ran off to see somepony you could have seen at any other time. If you had listened to your mother you would haven't had to have waited on that mountain for half a day.)" Dad said. I looked up,
"(but you did still run off when you where told not to. This was the final straw. You are being sent to the capital to learn at the military academy)" He said. My face quickly grew into one of fear as I had to live somewhere I have never been before.
I would have asked what did I do to deserve this but I remembered the whole not really a zebra bit, plus that one time that I accidentally broke the town shrine so I kept my mouth shut.
Zehire age 16
"(Hey Zehire, battle tactics practice is starting)" he said.
I climbed down from my bunk and walked to the training yard to see the instructor and the rest of the squad.
"(OKAY MAGGOTS!)" the drill instructor yelled "(TODAY WE WILL BE DOING A SMALL SIEGE, TEAM A )" He shouted as he indicated to me and my group "(AND TEAM B)" He pointed to the other group "(TEAM A WILL BE THE INVADERS WHILE TEAM B WILL BE THE DEFENDERS YOU KNOW THE PENALTY FOR LOSING!)" He shouted as he got off the field. We went to our respected bases.
"(Aren’t these...)" i started before somepony finished my sentence.
"(Real weapons. They ether mean business with this or there was a mix up.)" My friend said. I really wanted to leave at that point, if only to avoid being shot by an arrow.
"(okay, somepony really wants us dead.)" I said, stomping my hoof on the ground in frustration. As soon as I did this, a large rock appeared from the ground and rose into the air. Everypony looked at me in fear.
"(You can ask or you can get the drill instructor)" I said quickly. One of my troops went out to warn the Drill instructor while I went out to be a distraction. I ran out in the field where they shot actual darts. I slammed my hooves on the ground and a pillar of stone rose up to block their darts.
"(HALT!)" a shout came from the sidelines, it was the Drill instructor "(WHAT ARE YOU DOING?)" he said
"(SIR OUR GEAR HAS BEEN SABOTAGED TO BE REPLACED WITH REAL ONES)" I shouted as he looked at the rest of my squad. It was kind of a one goes down you all go down sort of aspect.
"(I WILL HAVE THE WEAPONS CHECKED BUT THIS MEANS BOTH TEAMS LOSE AND YOU KNOW WHAT LOSING MEANS.)" The drill instructor said as we all headed to be punished cleaning the latrine.
"(How did you move the earth?)" my friend asked as we walked to the latrine.
(I don't know how I do it, Its just something I can do. Maybe it has to do with a past life?)" I said.
Zehire age 22
It was graduation day. I was going to be a solder In the Zebra Confederacy like my father and his father before him. The ceremony was just a few hours away and I was meditating. As I laid there a voice sounded in my mind, "revenge" the voice said in equestrian. Confused, I got down from my now former bunk and decided to follow where the voice came from. As I walked the abandoned hallways I wondered where everypony was as It was almost graduation time and the academy should be packed with zebras visiting the academy or young foals starting their first days at the academy. So where was everypony?
"Revenge" the voice said again this time louder. I entered the main hall where It was all decorated for the big event, as I walked through the aisle of chairs I saw a black and orange bipedal figure standing face to a wall with its claws behind its back. "(You there the hall is closed to all non academy workers and students, leave)" I ordered as the creature turned around and said "Oh but I am a student here" I looked at it and wondered how I was able to understand it as I could barely speak Equestrian.
"(How can I understand you?)" I asked as its head turned revealing its one large dark orange eye in the middle of its head with dark orange lines going everywhere on its front body.
I took a step back when it lunged at me shouting "REVENGE AGAINST CELESTIA!" It jumped on me I could not get it off me I tried to scream as I was being swallowed in the darkness.
"(Hey wake up)" my bunk mate said as I got knocked out of my trance.
"(What happened?)" I asked.
"(You where mumbling in your sleep)" He said as I got down from my bunk
"(Did I miss the ceremony?)" I asked. He shook his head in response "(Okay good)" I said.
And with that we left for the ceremony, but I couldn't get that dream out of my mind, regardless of how much I tried.
(What could it mean?) I asked myself as I looked in the nearby mirror and for a second I saw the dark orange creature for a second before the reflection returns to me.
Chapter 4 Talk and planning
"Alright princess, we won't fail you," Twilight said as they all left for their individual rooms. Mostly to talk amongst each other in private.
"Alright sister. Why are you so adamant to redeem the griffon that attacked and one that you connect to what I hear was a brutal warrior and commander? Why would you want to redeem somepony that evil?" Luna asked. I took a deep breath, thinking my answer through carefully.
"To put it simply, It's the guilt of me killing it when it was human back then. It was a mistake that I want to make it right" I said. "When I think about it, I guess that's not the only reason. I wouldn't let guilt be my only reason after all. I believe that her abilities could be taught. If they can be then her abilities could be tremendously helpful for Equestria, now and in the future." I said. Luna raised an eyebrow at that.
"What it can't be taught?" Luna asked.
"Well, she could still use them to help."
"How?" Luna asked, still skeptical that a power like that could be used for good.
"Well, she could likely stop a volcano, move islands or something along those lines. We still do not know her full potential." I said.
"Really? Stop a volcano? Are you being serious with me Celestia?" Luna said in disbelief. I looked at her for a moment before continuing to walk the halls to discuss the subject further.
An hour passed as Celestia and Luna discussed what to do with the griffon when they capture her, but then a question came up "Sister how did you defeat Zehire?" Luna asked. Celestia gave it some thought as she had to remember the details. This fight happened roughly 600 years ago and so naturally, her memory of it had faded slightly.
It was raining at the time we got to the battlefield. Zehire was waiting for use with his troops.
"So you came yourself," he said as his troops got into position.
"Yes I came to stop you personally," I said, my troops moving to battle positions.
"Just as you did last time we met," he said throwing me off.
"We've never met," I said coldly. He just smirked.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night," He said before he started turning in a circle. The raindrops gathered into a large blob of water floating above him before launching shards of ice from it. I managed to dodge the shards and retaliated with a magical bolt.
He blocked it by turning the ball of water into ice.
"So this is the 'legendary' power of the Sun Princess? I'm not impressed. ATTACK!" he shouted as the zebras behind him ran onto the field.
"Troops, advance!" I ordered. my army ran on to meet the zebras in combat as I cast another magical bolt at him, catching him off guard and knocking him to the ground a few meters behind himself. As he got up, he slammed his hoof down causing a slab of earth to rise beside me, which I dodged by going into the air. As the slab flew below me I thought to myself,
'Wasn't that creature capable of magic like this?' I pushed the thought to the back of my mind, moving to deal with the problem at hoof.
As the battle continued, the zebras were being pushed back from the battle and I was beginning to beat Zehire down but as the battle raged on, he tried more tricks. One such trick was taking the air out of my lungs, which would have killed me if a nearby soldier hadn't attacked Zehire, knocking his concentration off and giving me just enough time to escape. I wish I could say the same about the soldier but he had his head cut off by a shard of ice. The battle was nearly done as Zehire laid on the ground.
"It's over. You've lost" I said. However, instead of surrendering or shouting obscenities, he just chuckled.
"I still have one last trick that will guarantee that this war won't end anytime soon," He said as he struggled to move his hooves, I flew into the air not of my own power but as a puppet by his movements.
"W-what are you doing?" I asked, unable to even use my magic to get out of there.
"This," he said as I rocketed forward lowering my head and impaling him on my horn as he struggled to laugh he said "I win, this war won't be over anytime soon" he struggled to say before falling limp.
"And that's how Zehire died. I wouldn't say I defeated him as it was more of a suicide" I said as my sister looked in horror.
"How did he control you?" Luna asked when she recovered from the slightly horrific story.
"Well, I didn't learn that 'till 200 years ago when we learned there was water in blood and I guess he used his water magic to control me," Celestia said. Luna continued to ask questions throughout the night, and I was more than happy to answer them.
Bajin City
Bajin city. A wretched hive of scum and villainy. If anypony could smuggle me out of Equestria, it would be here. Luckily, I didn't need to pay anypony as I could just hide on one of the ships and sail away to the griffon kingdoms. But I thought against it as I didn't want to fight against a whole ship. If I did then I would need to take the ship over it was just a hassle.
"Last call for Griffon isles. Buy your tickets now." The boat captain said as he went back to his ship to prepare for the trip.
"How much for a ticket?" I asked.
The teller took one look at me before saying "We don't sell to griffons."
I looked at him as if he was joking before I remembered the royal guards here don't enforce any of Celestia's laws. Including the one that stands against racism.
"Okay then, looks like I need to beat the tickets out of you," I said. He smirked in response.
"Tank! Teach this featherbrain a lesson," he said. A large minotaur came out from behind me.
"Is there a problem here, boss?" the minotaur asked. I just smiled.
"No there's no problem..." I responded before launching the minotaur into the water with a single motion.
I turned around and found the teller with his jaw practically lying on the floor.
"...just teaching your boss not to mess with griffons," I said as I grabbed a ticket from the ticket vendor and got on the boat.
'Hopefully they won't be looking for me in Griffonstone' I thought to myself as the boat started to leave.
Chapter 5 Past and present
Around 500 years ago
I awoke in my room in the Colosseum to the sounds of the crowds cheering for the combatants, but today was not about the crowds or the honor that came with the fighting. Today was simply about the fight and the payment that came with it as I was a mercenary Gladiator.
While I was walking through the Arena, I noticed something was off. Despite hearing the crowds cheering when I got to the public areas, I saw no bulls around. Upon looking further, I found a bull, a small scrawny looking Calf with his horns cut off. Probably an escaped slave of some kind. "Hey calf, where is everybull?" I asked.
The calf turned around revealing himself to have dark orange lines all over his body and a singular eye in the middle of his face "revenge" it said as it rushed towards me. I dodged the creature and lit my fists on fire, ready to fight.
"Your smarter than your past lives," it said. I wondered what it meant but I quickly came to the decision that I didn't care as I had a fight to get to.
"Tell me how I get back to the arena!" I ordered as the creature rushed me again, this time I punched the creature with my flaming fists but It did nothing
The creature chuckled as it took a step back "I underestimated you. I thought you would run like those before you but you stay and fight." It said as it expanded to surround me I just took one look at it then threw fireballs at it knocking back a few feet before running. I may be a mercenary but I know when to run from a fight. The large blob-like creature started chasing me through the corridors of the Colosseum, back to my room where I could grab my armor and make a final stand.
As I made it to my room I locked the door behind me and got to my armor. If I was going to die here, I would die like a warrior. As I took a stand ready to fight I felt something touch the back of my shoulder I turned around to see the creature behind me before I could ask how it got there, it attacked.
I woke up, my first action was to wonder what the time was, as it was every morning. As I slowly woke up, I wondered what that dream was about, but before I could think about it, I remembered I had a match to get to. I threw on my armor and ran to the arena where the crowds greeted me with their cheers.
"Ladies and Gentlebulls of the Colosseum, I greet you to this exciting day where Kings will be crowned, In the red corner the Champion representing King Minos is The Silver Knight..." The announcer said as the crowd cheered "...and on the blue side, the Mercenary gladiator the Blue Flame" He said as the crowd booed at me some even throwing fruit at me but I simply readied myself for the fight.
I walked up to the champion in the center of the ring and was greeted by the Champion "Hey, I've heard about you, apparently you're a really good fighter. Let's have a good match" he said. I just nodded as I walked back to the blue corner to begin the match.
"Combatants! Get ready to fight!" The announcer said as I lit my fists on fire and rushed at the Champion.
Modern day Griffon lands
I got off the ship and began the climb to Griffonstone where the abandoned temple I called home was. As I climbed the mountain I wondered if the second alicorn was the same one that I had heard returned, but I wrote it off as being too ridiculous to be true. An hour passed as I had nearly got to the top, the walk was peaceful and gave me time to rethink my strategy on fighting Celestia.
As I got to the top I saw the shanty town that was Griffonstone 'Glad to see nothing has changed' I thought to myself as I walked through the town.
"Hey, it's the amnesiac!" a griffon said. I turned around to see Gilda selling her terrible baked goods.
"Oh hey Gilda, still selling those terrible baked bads?' I asked.
"No actually a friend of a friend helped me with that try one," she said as she handed me a pastry, which I was surprised to find that it tasted good.
"That will be three bits," she said. I rolled my eyes and pulled out three bits from my bag and handed them to her. "So, learn anything of who you were while in Equestria?" She asked.
"Nope, still nothing," I said, faking my disappointment as I didn't head to Equestria to see if I could recover my memories.
"Well maybe you can find out what happened to you, someday," she said, honestly creeping me out a bit.
"Who are you and what have you done with Gilda?" I asked, she just laughed.
"I've been trying to make friends, okay?" she said as I tilted my head, "What?" she asked.
"Sorry, but us? Friends? I don't see it happening" I said as she looked kind of disappointed. I walked away heading to the abandoned temple, after half an hour of walking I made it home
"Home sweet home," I said to myself as I went inside.
The Blue flame 500 years ago
The battle was almost over as The Silver Knight was about to finish me off. But before he could deal the final blow, I pushed him down with a blast of air.
"What's this?' The announcer said while I got up. As the Champion rose to his feet, I lifted the rocks in the arena and smashed them down the champion a few times before running towards the large ball of rocks and heating it up with my fire. As the fire cooled down and the rocks fell, all that remained of the Silver knight was his silver armor, melted onto his skeleton.
"Folks I hate to tell you this, but It looks like our new Champion is The Blue Flame." The announcer said As the crowd booed and threw fruit at me some were even saying that I cheated and should be executed, but I simply walked away from the arena to be with my thoughts.
An hour passed as I lay in my bed wondering what happened out there and why I couldn't remember what happened during the fight. "Hey champ," the new king said as he entered my room "What are you doing in here?" he asked as I looked at him.
"I'm laying in my bed" I responded. He apparently took offense to that.
"But this isn't your room anymore, your the Champion now so you get your own suite," he said as I got up from my bed and walked up to him
"Show me," I said.
We walked through the Colosseum, where some small calves wanted my autograph. I had to oblige due to my King being there.
"Here you go," I said as the last Calf left running to its parents to tell them that it had met the new champion, but the responses were not all as positive as that. Most Minotaurs gave me a bad look as they believed I cheated, but as it was a Kings match it would be a matter for the elders to decide if I had cheated or not.

This is the end of the story I know that there is more to this story and I may write it up someday but for now its done... I may write a non displace story sooner or later but for now I want to focus on Keybearer and Spike the courier.

Chapter 6 The end
Griffionstone: Present Day
I was wrong, so very wrong. Griffonstone was the first place they would look! I ran through the streets of the town using my earthbending to block their paths.. "MY CABBAGES!" A vendor shouted as I created another blocked path through the market. Somehow that made me laugh, pretty sure that’s a new one for me though?
"Stop!" One of them, some purple unicorn, shouted as I went into the air. "Rainbow Dash, after her!" As the blue one went into the air I sound found myself staring at her. Damn she is a fast one!
"Hey stop!" Rainbow Dash said as I used airbending to push her to the ground before diving into the sea to escape while using waterbending to create a hole in the water where I could hide under the sea and breath.

Earlier: Twilight Pov
"Rainbow, are you sure that our griffon will be here?" I asked as we finished our climb up the mountain side.
"For the last time Twilight! Yes! Even if the griffon isn't here we can be sure she is in the country." Rainbow replied as we walked through the harsh winds.
"Why are you sure about that darling?" Rarity asked.
"Simple, the guards are looking for her In Equestria so she might as well be hiding here." Rainbow said.
"Ah, am not even gonna begin with what is wrong with that sentence sugarcube." Applejack said as we finished climbing the mountain, looking over the village.
"Is this..." I began to say in a sad tone. I know Rainbow and Pinkie said it was bad here, but this…
"...Griffonstone, yep. And it looks a little better than last time." Rainbow said before noticing Gilda off in the distance "Hey G!" Rainbow said as Gilda turned around, smiling at us to my surprise.
""Hey Dash, what are you doing out here?"
"We are looking for a griffon, one in particular." Rainbow handed her the sketch of the griffon that attacked Celestia.
"Well the only Griffon I know that matches this description Is the amnesiac." She said as I tilted my head.
"Amnesiac?" I asked as she took a second to answer.
"Oh yeah, but it can't be her. She was in Equestria to see if somepony could help her cure her amnesia, but I guess she couldn't find somepony who could do that. Come on, I’ll show you to her." We all followed her to this abandoned looking temple. This is where she lives?
"Are you sure this is where your friend lives?" I asked as I saw the stat the temple was in.
"Yeah, this temple has been here forever and she decided to live there as it was pretty cheap to live there... Oh there she is now!" She waved at the griffon. "Hey Greta, I want you to meet a friend of mine and her friends." She said pointing to us. As soon as she saw me Greta started backing up.
"Yeah GIlda I would love to meet your friends... but I have somewhere to be right now." She said as she kept backing up.
"Well can you at least answer a few questions for us?" I asked as she sighed, muttering something before slamming her talons on the floor, causing a rock to emerge from it, knocking Pinkie Pie away and running. "After her!"
I shouted as we chased her through the marketplace. She kept making rocks to block our path and we had to move passed it "MY CABBAGES!" A griffon shouted as a rock formed out the ground smashing his stand. Why was that funny?
She flew into the air as Rainbow Dash flew after, before being knocked down with a torrent of air she moved with that strange magic Celestia warned us about. We quickly made it to the cliffs where I flew up into the air to talk to her but she dived into the nearby ocean, she moved her talons and created a hole in the water which she flew right into the hole. "How long do you think she can stay down there?" I asked as the rest of the girls showed up.

An hour passed as I floated up for air as My air bubble had collapsed due to the physical and mental exhaustion of bending that long. This reincarnation is not that physically suited for this extremes.
"Are you ready to surrender now?" A voice said. I turned around it was the lavender Alicorn.
"Great." She said as she lifted me with her magic. "Now let’s go meet Celestia."
"Twilight are you sure that we should bring her? Last time she saw the princess she tried to kill her." The white unicorn asked.
"Well, Celestia wants to see her." Twilight said as I realized that she wants to execute me personally. Again.

It was a week before we arrived in Canterlot where I was greeted by Princess Celestia "Hello Greta." She said as I wondered how she learned my name.
"Lets just get to the point." I said as I looked to the ground getting ready for the end and the start of a new life.
"I was expecting to have a conversation with you, but I can see your in no mood to talk." She said as I prepared for the end. "I'm going to have you sent to Ponyville to be reformed." I looked up at her.
"What?" I asked surprisingly angry for not being executed as I began to laugh. "You more of an idiot that I thought" I laughed as she looked confused as I slammed my talons down and launched a bolder I bent out of the ground at her, launching her out of the room through another window.
"Hey!" One of the six ponies said as I launched a fireball at the one that spoke. I went outside to see the princess in the rain. Perfect weather for bloodshed.
"Why?" She asked as I stopped caring about my life. I want to end this one way or another. I used waterbending to gather the nearby water droplets falling down onto my fist and turn them into a ice gauntlet and used It to smash her face until the ice shattered on her face. "I was trying to help you!" she pleaded as tears went through her face and blood trailed down from under her mane.
"YOU CAN"T! I"M THE DARK AVATAR! AND YOU MADE ME INTO THIS!" I screamed as I launch her into the air as two more alicorns showed up. The one that I didn't know about and the one that came to get me in Griffonstone. I launched an ice shard at one of them as Celestia launched me into a puddle with her magic.
"We were trying to help you why! You can change!" Celestia said in a sad tone as I merely chuckled.
"You can't help me. Hatred and revenge have twisted my soul into a husk of who I once was. I am the spirit of evil now, opposite of light." I said as I moved my tallon to create a spike of ice and stabbed it into my chest, breaking my ribcage and puncturing my lungs.
"NO!" She shouted before realizing I was still alive, but quickly dying and laughing with what life I had left. "Why?" She asked, holding me in her hooves.
"Because I will always be back to kill you, just like you killed me. No mercy, no chance to explain, cold blooded murder." I placed a tallon on her face. “Do yourself a favor, don’t have foals. It would be too easy for me if you did.” I warned as the light faded from my eyes and felt darkness surround me, quickly followed by a warm, tight feeling. Next thing I knew, I was screaming in a baby’s body. Now to wait and repeat.
