The Other Side of Me

Too Many Changes

As I sat in my room staring at my once beautiful legs, my mother slipped a letter underneath the door using her unicorn magic. I debated whether or not to read the letter but curiosity took over.

Dear Fire Storm,

I know you are all grown up now, and you have started to experience the changes. I asked your mother to not read this letter so you can get privacy in this matter. However being half changling has effected you, I want you to focus on any physical change an imagine what you looked like before it happened. Be strong, keep safe kiddo. I love you. -Dad

Sniffing and wiping tears out of my eyes, I looked at my legs. Taking my dad's advice, I focused on them and closed my eyes and imagined my legs without holes. I felt a slight tingling sensation on my legs and opened my eyes. My legs were holes free. I jumped out of bed and ran into the kitchen. My bestie, Ice Flurry, was there with my mom, flying around to put up decorations while mom frosted the cake.

"Wow, look at your legs!" Mom squeeled. "How did you fix them?" I looked at Ice Flurry.

"She already told me about your heritage and what happened to you. Your still my bestie!"

I sighed and gave her a bone crushing hug. "Well, Dad left a letter telling me how to fix it." I shrugged my shoulders, "It wasn't that hard."
