As I and Danny continue to laugh stupidly and saying comments that we thought were funny, we finally get a hold of ourselves. As I look to the confused ponies, I say, "Sorry about that, my name is Kenny, and I am seventeen years old. And this is my brother, Danny, and he is fourteen. We are just not used to not having anybody around and we were very lonely back at home. I’ll explain that later. And talking to animals that talk back, uh, is just something that we didn’t see very often.” I look at the ground and mutter, “Although, I did sometimes wish that would happen.”

I turn back to Danny, who is trying to contain himself. I shouldn’t have looked at him, because he started giggling, which caused me to start.

“Danny, this is messed up. Big time. I should be waking up anytime now." I say to Danny as I look away. As I look at the ponies, I notice that they are no taller than my torso. 'Wow, they sure aren't that big.'

"Well, I can assure you that this isn't a dream," Twilight states calmly.

Pinkie stopped bouncing and had a sad look on her face, but immediately brighten again as she said, " I just knew that somepony was coming, but I didn't know who. Oh well, at least we can have a Welcome Party!! Come on!"

Both me and Danny look at each other, then I look at Twilight, who rolled her eyes, and says, "Oh Pinkie, they just got here. Give them a minute."

"Actually, I am wondering if we could have something to eat?" I ask remembering we skipped dinner. I also add, "And if this is real, Why are you even talking to us? We're outcasts, aliens, outsiders."

"Sure. what do you usually eat?" Twilight says, seemingly not hearing my other question.

I then suddenly remember that they are ponies, and stuttered, nervously rubbing the back of my neck, "Uhh, w-well, you see, um... We are omnivores." Shocked gasps came from the six ponies, and I raised my brows and quickly add, "Surely there are other animals that are that way as well, am I right? You don't really need to worry, I am not the one to eat animals, that are deemed ‘domestic’. Plus, that is not a good thought to think of,” To exaggerate my point, I make a disgusted face, and shiver.

I then turn to my truck, wondering what the hell I am going to do with it.
But I guess it was all over my face, because Twilight says, "I think I can help move the..." She looks at it, trying to figure out what it is. "Umm, what exactly is it?" All eyes turn to me as I try to explain it.

"Well, it is called a pickup truck that I own, and it is a vehicle that helps with transportation. You should be able to move it. Besides I don't see how yo-" I yelp and jump back as Twilight's horn starts glowing a magenta/lavender color, as does my truck. I could see her straining to move it with... Magic?

"Holy shit, it’s true! They are powerful!" I say in amazement as my truck spins 90 degrees. As soon as she sets the Mazda down, I can tell she is teeming with questions.

“Do you think you can move that back to Ponyville?"

"Well, hold on a minute," I say as I walk to my truck. "Danny, get in. Oh, and if you want a ride you can hop in the bed of the truck." All the girls had a nervous look on their faces.

"Wait, how does that work?" Twilight asks.

At that, I laugh. "Well, for one thing, this uses no magic, if you are wondering. Number two, it runs on gasoline, which I will explain at a later day, and three, just watch."

Twilight looks at me confused. I could totally see her just bombarding me with questions.

As I grab to turn the key, I add, "Oh and careful, It is gonna probably scare you. Just a warning." Rarity and Fluttershy didn't get scared too bad, considering they were further away than the other 4, who nearly jumps out of their skins as I start the truck. It hums to life, but it didn't seem all that loud. Then I remember they are ponies. Better hearing.

"Ha, I bet that thing is slow." Rainbow Dash commented. I look at Danny, then we both look at the cyan pony with a smirk.

"Oh ya? You want to bet me?" My brother says before I get a chance to say something. I give him a dirty look.

She grins, and I know she won't turn down a bet, cause she hates to lose. "You're on."

As I grip the steering wheel tighter, I remember the other ponies. " You want to get in the cab with us? It will be much safer. Besides, I don't want to leave you behind." Opening the door, I pull the driver's side seat forward and help the ponies in. Fluttershy, slowly creeping up to me, squeaks as I look at her. I gave a reassuring smile. "It is okay. You don't need to ride. Besides, I would never try to hurt animals, because we both love animals. But I have a passion for animals. Also, you do have wings." I say with a soft tone and heart.

As she gets out from behind her mane, our eyes lock. She suddenly looks back to the ground, but brings them back up, like she is not sure what to do. As she is shaking profusely, I try to think of something to say to ease her fears.

"I am not gonna go fast, maybe another day. I don't want to hurt myself or anyone else because I was being stupid." I said reassuringly. Turning to Rainbow Dash as I said it.

"OK, I think I will just fly to Ponyville. I-if that is OK with you," Fluttershy says as she looks at the ground.

Applejack, Pinkie, and Rarity had gotten in the bed of the truck, with Danny insisting that he sits back there too. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy said they would meet us back at Ponyville. Twilight, on the other hand, was sitting in the passenger seat, giving me directions on how to get to Ponyville, while in the process, learning about my truck. But as soon as she started asking about me, I kinda started to watch what I said and gave shorter answers. She saw this and tried to keep the conversation up. About a half a mile away, I had a couple concerns. But one stood out more.

"So, what are we going to do, with me and my brother arriving in a town full of ponies? Where are we going to put this thing?" I ask, glancing at Twilight. I was hoping for an easy answer.

"Well... We could put it on the edge of the town, and everypony else should be fine. You are not the first humans we have had. I think Princess Celestia would like to meet you." Then she seemed to remember something. "Oh no! Princess Celestia doesn't even know you’re here! As soon as we get to the library, I'll need to send a letter!"

The rest of the ride was quiet, save for the constant chatting in the back. As we neared the town, I started to get nervous. Just beyond the tree line, Twilight told me I could park, and walked the rest of the way.

As we entered the town, I notice that my brother was walking beside me, instead of Twilight. I turn around and I see a note. But I noticed something else. It was too quiet. I picked up the note which said,

Sorry Kenny and Danny, but I had to do a couple of things. If you like pastries, go to SugarCube Corner for something to eat.

"Um, okay? Let's see if we can find this SugarStreet or whatever. Plus, I reeealy want chocolate right now." I say as I look around, trying to find the pastry building. At last, I see it, about 4 blocks away, from where we stood.

"Race ya!" Danny says as he sees it also, and takes off.

"Hey! I'm not running." I retort. But then, I realize, "Oh what the hell. YOLO!" I shout and take off. As we near the building, I notice something peculiar. "Danny there is no lights on, must be closed. AHH, it never hurts to see, right?" I say when I catch up to him. "I'll knock and we will see what happens."

As I walk to the door, Danny walks to the windows and looks in. "Ahh, fuck this, I’m just going in. I am hungry." But as soon as I stepped in the door, the lights came on, I hear a "Surprise!" and a gunshot sound resonated in front of me, and I was covered in confetti, party streamers and such. Oh and I scream, "Good God!"

And then I am tackled by a pink blur.

"Hi! Were you surprised? Huh? Huh? Were you? I was wondering when you were gonna come in. Well, you're here now, so we can play games and have a super duper fun time!”

this will be a different take on the HiE stories. I hope this is ok at least. i kinda am starting to give up. seriously. i really dont want to go insane I really don't.
