The multicolored pegasus jerked up, a sound escaping her muzzle. She looked around to see her lavender Alicorn friend across from her spot, looking flustered. Rainbow blinked, "O-oh..." She mumbled. "Did.... Did I fall asleep again...?" She awkwardly asked. "Do I even dare to answer," Twilight said, with no emotion. She levitated her spell book, which was previously word-side-down, a few pages bent over the others. She flipped it rapidly, as it stopped at a certain page. The alicorn then paced about, murmuring the contents of the page. "Alrighty, then... Mmm..." Twilight tapped her chin. Rainbow Dash folded her hooves. "Uh huh... Well, I'll be going now.... Got some weather patrol and stuff... You know..." The pegasus slowly trotted towards the door, being stopped by an aurora taking control of her body. She seemed shocked at first, soon realizing what was going on. "Twi...! Just-" "Seriously. Thus is the seventh time this month you've had an excuse to escape one of my lessons or ....something!" She said, dropping Rainbow, who luckily had cat-like reflexes, which managed her to land on all fours. "Hey- Ow! I can't help it! I've got important pegasus matters to get to, and lazy eggheads like you don't do nothing but 'read' and 'study' and 'read some more'!" Rainbow snapped back, and it seemed enough to fire up an alicorn. "Oh, what do you know? You can't even read a simple paragraph off a filly's history book without falling asleep! And do nothing? I was the one who helped you pass all your tests in the first place! Yet you refuse Amy methods I offered you!" Twilight replied, in a higher voice. Rainbow growled. " Stop bringing up the past, for Celestia's sake! An alicorn egghead like you can't even fly better than Scootaloo!!! How are YOU even a princess!" She backfired. Twilight's horn flared up in anger, as she levitated Rainbow with no control. "Maybe if you were an earth pony, you wouldn't be such a snob!" "Maybe if you weren't a princess, you wouldn't be such a LOSER!!" Twilight's magic stopped at the last word. Tears filled up in her eyes, as she pushed Rainbow out of the oath of the doorway, and ran out. "W-wait, Twi! Did.... Did I say that....? Any of that... I'm Sooooo.. So... I'm sorry..." Rainbow called. No answer, but the sound of her hooves gallopping against the dirt outside.     Apple Jack planted her forehooves to the cool evening grass. She breathed in slowly, inhale, then exhale. Her hindhooves tucked under her barrel, waiting for the right moment. Then, she kicked. Before being hit in the head by a fresh, red fruit, she slipped from under the tree, as gorgeous, healthy apples flew down.       Apple groaned a bit. "Darn, Ah think my Hoof's sprained... No wonder, ah've been bucking apples by myself for a week now..." Apple muttered, remembering that Granny Smith and Macintosh had been off to appleoosa to settle some 'unfinished buisness'. Apple Bloom was in early teens, and could only help out so much. "Rainbow must have it easy. She's got those wings, and don't have to do much but kick some clouds, while ah strain my energy, kickin' the life outta these trees!' She yelled, hitting the tree in frustration, as a wormy apple fell onto her hat. She growled in fury.    Apple Bloom ran to her big sister, who was sitting under the shade of a tree by her bedroom window. "Sis! Are ya alright?!" Apple Bloom called, leaping out her window, landing into a pile of hay. She got up, and hugged Apple Jack. The oldest returned the hug. "I'm fine, Sugar cube, don't get all worked up, though. Ah just sprained a hoof, is all." She said, behind gritted teeth.    Night fell over Ponyville, as sounds were tamed and ponies went to rest. It was an unusually peaceful night, for Apple Jack and Rainbow Fash, that is. They felt the sensation of warmth and a soft tingle against their spines. Nopony waited to get their rest that night, unless they were able to predict the future...     Rainbow woke up and stretched. She rubbed her blurry eyes, but only yi find herself on the ground, below where her cloud was. "What in the name of-" Rainbow looked at her tail... It was a peach color, wrapped by a dusty red ribbon. Rainbow decides to fly over to Twilight's and get her to figure out what was wrong. She no longer had the ability to fly. Rainbow twirled around, seeing not one blue feather on her side. She held back a scream. Her mane, still rainbow, but her cities mark was only but a zap apple. Rainbow felt tears drip down her face.     Apple Jack rose from her bed, and skipping breakfast, she ran outside. "Alright, tree. Here goes nothin'..." Apple kicked at the tree resulting in a painful crack the echoed the acres. The tree didn't even budge. "What in the- Sweet Luna..." Apple mumbled, seeing a rainbow tail on her flank, and a pair of blue wings. "This.... It's not possible! But... If I don't Buck these apples, Ahrg, forget them. I've got a new life to live..." Apple attempted to fly, and to her supeise, it came naturally.
