The Natural Order

Apex Predator

Previous Chapter

“Fuck it,” said Gilda, spreading her wings. The front door seemed like her best bet, even though Celestia was standing right in front of it. Powerful as she was, she couldn't be too much heavier than she looked. With the element of surprise, Gilda could charge at her, knock her aside, and be in the open air – and hopefully that would be enough.

Celestia must have been expecting Gilda to surrender or turn tail - both of which would probably have been wiser options, given the power that Celestia represented. But the element of surprise can accomplish a great deal, and Gilda's desperate charge bowled over the unsuspecting princess. Just a quick tuck of her wings to fit through the doorway, and Gilda was outside.

Of course, the next few seconds were just as crucial. Gilda needed to get out of Celestia's line of sight and lose her as quickly as possible. She propelled herself upward, circled the exterior of the library, and swooped towards the Everfree Forest. The forest wasn't safe - not even for a predator like Gilda - but hopefully it was just as dangerous for Celestia. If she followed, then with a little luck the forest would slow her down enough to let Gilda get away.

And Celestia was following. Even without turning around, Gilda could tell the princess was pursuing her. There was a searing heat on her backside, like the mild sunny day had turned into a record-breaking summer scorcher. She banked right, fearful of catching a bolt of sunlight in her ass, and entered the forest unscathed.

There was still no time to relax, though. Gilda was going to keep fleeing until she found a decent hiding place, or - failing that - until her wings had no strength left in them. But entering the dark, shady forest was still comforting. Under any other circumstances, the Everfree forest would have been intimidating, but there was nothing in the forest more powerful - or more angry at specifically Gilda - than the royal terror that was currently pursuing her. And the deep, dark shadows of the twisted trees seemed to promise a place to hide from the princess of the sun.

And it did seem that it was hiding her from Celestia, as she went deeper - when she glanced backwards, she saw the woods swallowing up the burning light of Celestia's anger, shrinking it to a pinprick - but the light never quite disappeared.

A whipping branch caught her wing, forcing her to tilt and correct her flight. She turned her head forward and saw a maze of limbs ahead of her, crisscrossing branches reaching down from trees that leaned into her path. And as she watched, they leaned further down, closing in on her like the gates of a forbidden city. She dipped, flying low, and glided underneath the branches, just barely evading them.

This might actually work, thought Gilda. Celestia was tall, with a massive wingspan - and while that made her an imposing figure, it also meant she wouldn't be able to navigate the twisted branches in the same way that Gilda had. Now was the time to pick a hiding spot, to become small and silent so that once Celestia freed herself from the branches, there would be no trail or noise for her to follow.

Gilda spied a rotted log resting against a low, mossy stone. The log was just wide enough for Gilda, and it was practically the same color as her body. If Celestia did spot her, the cramped space would leave no hope of a speedy escape, but it was the best hiding spot she could hope for.

As she squeezed her body ass-first into the log, Gilda heard a crunch in the direction she'd come from. That would be Celestia slamming into the grasping branches, smashing through them with her tremendous weight. Her big, powerful body carried her through a few rows of trees, but soon her momentum ran out and she came to a stop. By that time, she was close enough for Gilda to see as she peered out from the log.

The trees had Celestia at their mercy. Her graceful body was being tossed around like a ragdoll by the angry trees. She hadn't been knocked unconscious, though - Gilda could see the princess's wings flexing and her horn glowing as she attempted to regain control. She seemed to be gathering power for something big, some radiant explosion that would turn the malicious trees into scorched woodchips.

But it never came. An enormous tree, some centuries-old elder oak, reached down and massive branch and smacked it against Celestia's flank. Her magic dissipated, and her body went flying. Specifically, it went flying in Gilda's direction. Too close. Dangerously close to her hiding place. Gilda wiggled her body, pushing herself forward out of the cramped space, trying to get her wings and flank free before Celestia got too close...

But Gilda wasn't quick enough, and she screamed as Celestia hurled towards her - but instead of an impact, she felt something plugging up her wide-open mouth, stopping her scream in her throat. "Mmmrph!" she protested, gazing down wide-eyed at whatever was stuck inside her beak.

It took her a moment to take in the sight. there was something big and white hanging out of her beak, weakly struggling on the surface of the mossy rock. Holy shit, thought Gilda, This is Celestia. The princess' head - and her horn, somehow - was halfway down Gilda's throat. This left Gilda with a choice: try to release Celestia... or swallow her.

She honestly wasn't sure if her stomach could expand that much, but... considering how angry Celestia was at her, trying to swallow her whole might honestly have been the safer option. So she got started. With her talons, she took hold of Celestia's forelegs and pulled them toward her, feeding Celestia's body to her open beak. Celestia struggled, but her tussle with the trees had clearly taken a lot out of her, and having her head halfway down a griffon's throat was probably disorienting.

The muscles of Gilda's throat widened as Gilda pulled Celestia's long white neck into her beak. She was surprised both by the flexibility and the strength of those muscles, which pulled Celestia deeper, treating the princess just like any other wriggling meal. Slowly, Gilda stretched her beak wider to take in Celestia's barrel. This would be the true test of her body - if she was powerful enough to eat a princess, she would find out now. She felt the skin around her beak stretch as she opened it wider than she ever had before, just barely getting her mouth around Celestia's withers and the hips of her forelegs. Thankfully the trees had knocked off her jewelry - otherwise she'd have been impossible to swallow.

Celestia's wriggling legs tucked back as Gilda pushed them past her beak, and the griffon finally felt Celestia's head in her belly. There was certainly no going back now - Gilda was going to take all of Celestia into herself, swallow her up from head to tail and digest her. Her stomach was going to be more full than it had ever been before, stuffed with the body of Equestria's ruler. Her neck widened as she pulled Celestia further in, bulging with the shape of Celestia's body. She could feel the outlines of Celestia's forelegs bulging through the skin, rubbing against the powerful muscles of her throat as they went down. They kicked, or tried to, inside Gilda's throat, but they were too weak and too tightly constricted to put up much of a fight.

As Celestia went deeper, Gilda's tongue touched something she hadn't expected: the wet lips of Celestia's pussy. The princess' cunt dripped with sweet moisture, and Gilda let out a muffled moan as the flavor hit her tongue. Why would she be so wet at a time like this? Was this a turn-on for the princess, somehow? Gilda dug her long, flexible tongue into her pussy, teasing and tasting her love tunnel, feeling her own pussy growing wet at the same time. Celestia's, still weak, kicked harder as Gilda probed her pussy, and more honey flowed from her marehood.

But Gilda couldn't linger long the princess' pussy; her throat muscles, eager to fill her belly, pulled the princess deeper. Gilda widened her beak one last time, straining her mouth, to accept Celestia's back legs into her maw. As her beak began to close around Celestia's famously magnificent rump, Gilda felt a quiver inside her throat. The princess' whole body was shaking, spasming inside her - but she wasn't fighting, Gilda realized. She was cumming. As her radiant, multihued tail disappeared into Gilda's beak, the princess' cilmaxing body slid down her throat, every curve of her body visible through the bulging skin of Gilda's throat.

Finally the body of the princess settled in Gilda's belly. The griffon could feel Celestia breathing inside her, and gently squirming - it wasn't clear if she was still cumming or if she was trying to escape, but in either case, her struggles were weak. She wasn't going anywhere. Gilda tried to stand on all fours, but she found that her belly was far too big to permit it. Her stomach was enormously swollen with her prey, and the bulge was recognizably in the shape of a tall, regal horse, curled up in the warm and deadly embrace of a predator's belly. A passerby might have even been able to tell that the bulge was Celestia herself - but who in Equestria would believe that she had been eaten by a griffon?

Gilda rolled over onto her side, finding a comfortable position, and let her eyes close. She'd just finished the biggest meal of her life, and it was filling her with a gentle, comforting warmth. Like sunlight. The Everfree Forest was a dangerous place to fall asleep, but Gilda wasn't scared. If she could eat Celestia, she could eat anyone.
