Chapters It started out with 5 tribes. The ponies, the humans, the foxes, the birds, and the wolves. The 5 lived together in harmony for generations. Until, the new human king. He believed humans were the superior tribe. They made food, they had technology, weapons, entertainment, and many more. He told the other tribes to bow down to the humans. But the 4 leaders of the tribe refused. Elias, lord of the Wolves, Magnus, lord of the Foxes, Elizabeth, lord of the Birds, and Celestia, princess of the Ponies. The 4 reached an agreement to send the humans to a different dimension. The catch, their home would split into many continents separating them all. The spell would also turn them all against each other. They agreed with this decision. However, Celestia wanted something in return for this. She wanted a hero to go to the new pony continent in the future and reunite the 4 tribes.
With that, they all went outside and stood at the center of their world. They performed the spell and the humans were exiled to another dimension. Just then, their home split in 4 and drifted off to sea. After these events, the ponies decided it was time to find their hero. The decided to trick the wolves, who were the strongest group, into giving them "sacrifices". If the wolf chosen did not prove himself by age 18, they would be Unwound. They always knew that a Wolf would be the hero. What they didn't know, is that the hero would be able to sprout wings.
"Yes, go ahead Falcon." said Ms. Howl (PUN INTENDED)
"Ahem, what is the number one problem 10 year old Aviator-Wolves have today? Sprouting their wings!" I said. Everyone raised an eyebrow at me. I began to sweat. "So that's why, I made a jetless, alternative, solution. Recreated from the original by Leonardo Davinci himself! Fake wings!" I pulled a string and the wings instantly popped out. Everyone was amazed.
"Do they really work nerd?!" asked Rick.
"Follow me outside and I'll show you!" I said. Unfortunately, the bell rang. "Hah Loser!" yelled Rick. My friends were always waiting for me outside luckily. "Hey guys!"
"Oh hey! How did show and tell work out?" asked my best friend Fox. My father had managed to make peace with the birds and foxes. Just not the ponies. "I didn't even get to show them how it works." I said sadly.
"Aw don't let it get ya down Fal." said Vixen. "Besides you have plenty of other show and tells!"
"Would Falconwolf please report to the front office?" said a woman on the mic. 'Uh oh' I thought.
As I walked into the front office I noticed my parents in there with smiles on their faces. "Come in Falcon." said the Principal. I sat down inbetween my parents. "I'm sure by now you've noticed Falcon's gift." she said. "He has straight A's, perfect scores on all of his tests, and extra credit on his homework." I smiled at that. "This however is unacceptable." My smile faded away. "Wolves cannot be smart, weak, or inventive!" she yelled. "Wolves should be strong, they should be brutes, and have unlimited power. I'm sorry Falcon. Your expelled."
"What?!" yelled my mom. "That's so unfair!"
"No it's true Falcana" said my father. "He's different and needs to be fixed!"
"So what if he's unique?!" mom asked.
We went home and my parents were yelling at each other the whole way. When we got to the castle (YES I'M A PRINCE) I ran upstairs and locked my bedroom door behind me. Tomorrow was the choosening. It's a day when people are chosen to be sacrificed. This happens with votes. When a certain amount of animals get voted a lot, they are sent to Equestria and are never heard from again. I however will most likely be chosen. This is because, the intellectual ones are always the first to go.
"I'm turning 10 tomorrow!" Twilight yelled.
"We know Twily! You've told us a bajillion times!" yelled Shining Armor. "And as you know, dad has agreed to let a wolf from the mines stay in our house until it can fend for itself."
"I know big brother! I'm just so excited to be turning double digits tomorrow!"
"Twilight, remember," said Night Light,"You can only choose one! Also, treat it nicely. I know you want to study it but try to be friends with it."
"Ok." Twilight replied. "Still, I'm turning 10 tomorrow!"
"Twi, if you say that one more time," yelled Shining Armor, "I will turn myself inside out!"
"Really?" asked Twilight.
"REALLY!!!" yelled Shining Armor.
"I'm turning 10 tomorrow!" Twi said mockingly. Shining's horn glowed and all of a sudden his skin was on the inside of his body while his muscles and organs were showing. Everypony stared straight at him in utter disgust.
"Told ya!" Shining yelled.
"Shining, please stop!" Yelled Twilight Velvet.
I awoke with a start. Wait, I'm not dead? But how? I was lying on a rock, which by the way is like memory foam to us wolves. "Get up runt!" yelled a pegasus. He had a beige coat with a white and yellow mane which matched his tail. He had nasty scars all over his body. "W-where am I?" I asked.
"You noobies are all the same." he said. "Come with me!" As we walked, I heard screams of pain and wolves being worked to the bone. It looked like the mines from that human movie, Indiana Jones. "Here's the cafeteria. The food today is fresh grass with turkey gizzards." he said. I was gonna barf.
"My name's Fal by the way and one quick question. When can we leave the mines?" I asked.
"Heh can ya fly?" he asked.
"No..." I replied.
"Welp, too bad then!" he said while laughing. "Anyhoo, this is Eagle Wolf. He'll be helping you throughout the week. Good luck."
"Hey noobie. Welcome to the mines." he had a soft friendly tone that anyone could trust, "Wow! The son of the King, huh?" I nodded, "Well you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I'll hang with you until you're ready to go off on your own. So, Name? (Fal) gender? (male) species? (In a whisper,"Uh, Falconwolf)" Eagle froze. "You're a Falconwolf?"
"I'm the last one." I added. He smiled.
"I can't believe it. Your the one who's gonna blow up the chopshop!" he whispered excitedly.
"The what now?" I asked.
"Oh! You don't know yet." he exclaimed. "Come with me. There's an orientation video."
Inside a small room was an old-fashioned projector with a screen. There was also a tall white-coated Alicorn along with, about 10 other wolves my age. The alicorn started the video.
Greetings all wolves. Welcome to the canterlot mines.
You may have thought that you were being sacrificed but, SUPRIIIIISE!
Instead, you'll be working here in the mines.
Just know that if you are an aviant-wolf, you will leave very early.
(Phew) but in a divided state! (Oh no)
If you are still not adopted or if you don't fly out, you'll be either signed up to serve us forever, or unwound.

I stared at the screen dumbfounded. "Welcome." The alicorn said in a motherly voice. "I am the ruler of the land of Equestria. I am known as Princess Celestia. "Now, the orientation video may have sounded a little dark("Little is an understatement" I thought.), but I assure you that it will be easy to get adopted. Now, on that note, may all of you please get back to work?" Eagle tried to pull me away but I was staring at the alicorn.
"Fal? Terra to Fal!" he yelled waving his paw in front of my eyes.
"Hubba whuh?" I said.
"Yo, keep your eyes offa her. She's mine!" he said.
"You have a crush on the princess?" I asked.
"What? No! She's my fiance!" He exclaimed.
"WHAT?!" I yelled.
"Woah hey! Take a chill pill man!" He said.
"But how?" I asked.
"Well, they found out I was an aviant wolf, I had one more day before I was unwound, I did chores around the castle, talked with her. We became very close!" he said. "When the next day arrived, she made me her personal guard!"
"Cool!" I yelled.
"Yeah. We went on a couple of dates, yadda yadda yadda, we got engaged, and here I am now!"
"Did you leave out the whole making out thing when you said yadda yadda?" I asked.
"Yeah why?" he asked.
"Cause then you leave out the best part to talk about!" I exclaimed.
"Nah I mentioned the engagement." he said.
"Ok let's just go to work." I said. And we walked off into the mines.
"And finally, Falconwolf." said the announcer pony. They did it. They chose me. I wiped a tear from my eye. This was it. I was going to be sacrificed. How did it all lead up to this? Well...
"Son hurry up! It's almost time!" yelled my father. I was in my room reading my favorite comic books for the last time, "Captain Falconwolf, Deadfox, many others that I don't have to mention." I said into the fourth wall. "Coming!" I yelled down. We arrived at the choosening arena. As always, ponies were there along with the other animals of Terra. Humans are still exiled. "And now, Princess Celestia!" yelled the announcer. "Thank you." she said. "Hello everyone. As you know, year-round many of your kind are taken and sacrificed. I really do regret making these decisions but it is what I need to do in order to maintain peace. Now, will you ever-so-kindly read the names of the chosen ones Mr. Announcer?"

So yeah, you're pretty much caught up right? And here's the worst part, everywolf cheered. "N-no! It has to be a mistake!" my mother yelled. Now I'm not one to fight but just then, after hearing the cries of my loving mother, my claws slashed the announcer's face. After that, everyone panicked. "Hold still you beast!" yelled a pegasus. He shot a tranq dart at me through a straw, hit me square in the cheek, and I instantly blacked out. Still hearing the poor cries of my mother.
