Duel 1: Countdown to the End Part 1
"Wait, Gold. Slow down. What happened?", Burst asked. It had only been a couple minutes after Gold had found Sunset passed out. "Sunset was attacked?"
"She was. I found her passed out.", Gold answered. "But she wasn't just attacked. They took one of her cards. She keeps muttering the card that was taken."
"What card did they steal? It wasn't Guardian Eatos was it?"
"No. It was BLS. That was the only card they took.", Gold answered. "The woman took it after she beat Sunset in a duel. But that's not the weirdest thing. The woman Sunset dueled used some kind of weird energy to try and pull BLS away from Sunset. BLS and Sunset tried to fight whatever force was pulling, but it was useless."
"I guess we should be happy Sunset is safe. And Gold?"
"Yeah?"
"You be careful too. In fact, I'd better text everyone to watch their backs. Whoever targeted Sunset was after the card she shares the strongest bond with. And who knows which one of us will be next?"
"Got it Burst. Same goes for you. We've gotta get to the bottom of this. Whoever is behind this hunted down the card and duelist specifically."
"Thanks Gold. See ya." Burst hung up and began texting the rest of his friends. "Sunset was targeted, and her monster partner was taken. Watch your backs everyone. Whatever we're dealing with, we can't let our guard down." Burst sighed as he sent the text. Blue Eyes then materialized. "Blue Eyes? What's up?"
"I can sense something Burst. I can't explain it, but I've just got this feeling in my gut that something horrible is on the horizon.", Blue Eyes said gravely. "Not to mention, BLS hasn't been sighted in the monster world. He's gone missing."
"I think I've got a bad feeling about this too.", Burst said. "Sunset was attacked by a duelist and they stole her BLS card. Gold found her passed out and is with her now."
"Well now I know what happened to BLS. Also, I sense something. A presence that puts the god cards to shame in terms of power. But there's something else about it. It's unstable. If a creature like that is ever summoned...I don't even want to think about what might happen."
"Well Blue Eyes, we're just gonna have to face it.", Burst said with a smile. Blue Eyes nodded.
"Right. Nothing we can't take on together!"
Meanwhile in the shadows...
"You will face me Burst. Sooner than you think...."
Duel 2: Countdown to the End Part 2
As any night, Nightmare was going about the dreamscape. Watching over her friends and loved ones dreams. However, one person's s dreamscape was turbulent. It was Burst's. For the first time since she'd known him, Burst was having a bad dream. Wasting no time, Nightmare entered Burst's dream and ended it. Burst turned to face her and let out a sigh of relief. "You're having trouble sleeping Burst. That's the first time you've ever had a bad dream. Is something wrong?"
"Sorry Moon.", Burst said. "It's just...I'm a bit troubled about Sunset. She was attacked by a duelist and they stole BLS from her. They used some weird kind of magic to steal it after they won the duel. I know she's safe now, but I can't help but worry about everyone else. All of us could be targets. Also, Blue Eyes sensed something. A monster whose presence eclipses the god cards. He says the power of a monster like that...there's no telling what destruction it could wreak. Moon...I'm scared." Nightmare held Burst tight.
"Don't be afraid Burst. Know that you have friends who will always stand by and support you. And know this above all else: Celestia and I love you with all of our hearts. No matter how isolated you may seem, you're never alone. You taught me that. You helped me end my nightmares. Let me end yours." Nightmare continued to hold Burst tight. Burst was comforted by her presence and gazing at her starry hair. Soon, he fell asleep. "Sweet dreams Burst. Leave tomorrow's problems to tomorrow's you."
The next day...
Burst woke up and found Nightmare smiling at him. "Thanks for last night. I needed that.", Burst said with a smile.
"Then let's not keep today waiting.", Nightmare said with a smile as she kissed Burst's forehead. Burst met his friends at school, and thing seemed to carry on normally. That is...until lunch period hit. Out of nowhere, lightning cracked across the sky! Burst and the others' monster partners sensed whatever darkness was causing this, and they ran out to face whatever new evil had arisen! A swirl of darkness materialized, and a cloaked woman stepped through.
"I'm guessing you're the one behind this.", Burst said sternly. The woman nodded as she removed the hood of her cloak. She had pitch black hair and pale white skin.
"Greetings Burst. I am known ans Abyss.", Abyss said with a dark smile. "I saw you defeat my pitiful son. Blitz Surge."
"And I'm guessing you're here for vengeance?", Burst asked. Abyss let out a dark giggle.
"No. In fact, I'm overjoyed he was destroyed. I thought I could use him to subjugate the god cards. But thanks to you, I have an even better tool. Allow me to thank you by defeating you!"
"You used your own son as a tool?!?!", Burst shouted! "I may have been his enemy, but Blitz was still a worthy opponent! And I won't let you disgrace his name after he's gone! Let's duel!" Abyss then let out a laugh.
"AHHHAHAHAHAH! THEN LET THE ENDGAME BEGIN!"
How about we take this to a grander stage!", Abyss said with a devious smile! Burst and his friend where whisked away and found themselves in space! "Don't worry. I made this field just for the last duel you'll ever have! You won't need to worry about the inky black void." A duel disk then materialized on her left arm. Burst was about to activate his duel disk when Inferno stopped him.
"You're not going this alone man! We're dueling with you!", Inferno said with a triumphant smile.
"You'll always have our spirit with you.", Gold said with a determined nod.
"No way we're letting you have all the fun!", Ace said with a thumbs-up.
"Alright guys. Let's rock the dragon!", Burst shouted as he and all the guys got their duel disks ready!

"I'll take the first move!", Abyss boasted. "I play the Melody of Awakening Dragon! I'll discard a card to add two dragons with 3000 or less attack and 2500 or less defense to my hand! Now I'll play Trade-In to discard the level eight monster in my hand to draw two new cards! Now I summon Chaos-End Master! Then I'll play Terraforming to add the field spell Gateway to Chaos! Now I'll activate Chaos Zone! Now I can add a Black Luster Soldier monster to my hand! I'll play Swords of Revealing Light and end my turn."
"Our turn now!", Burst said. "I summon White Stone of Ancients! Now I'll target it with Sage with Eyes of Blue from my hand! Now I'll send them to the graveyard to special summon Dragon Spirit of White! Now I can target and banish one spell or trap card you control! Now I'll reveal Blue Eyes White Dragon in my hand to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon from my hand! Then I'll activate his effect to destroy your monster! Now I tribute Dragon Spirit to special summon Blue Eyes White Dragon from my hand! Attack her directly! White Lightning!" Abyss braced herself as the attack hit her full force! "I'll then set a card and end my turn."

"Impressive start. But it won't be enough! I draw! I play the Trade-In I just drew to discard another level eight monster in my hand to the graveyard and draw two new cards! Now I'll set a trap and end my turn."
"I draw!", Inferno said. "I play Red Eyes Fusion to send Red Eyes Black Dragon and Meteor Dragon Red-Eyes Impact from my deck to the graveyard! Now I fusion summon Meteor Black Comet Dragon! And since he was summoned, I can send a Red Eyes monster from my deck to the graveyard and inflict it's attack as damage to you! I'll send Red Eyes Black Flare Dragon! Now I play Inferno Fire Blast! Due to Red Eyes Fusion, Meteor Black Comet Dragon's name becomes Red Eyes Black Dragon! Inferno Fire Blast lets me target a Red Eyes Black Dragon I control and inflict his attack as damage! The only downside is that I can't attack, so I end my turn with a face-down card."

"My move! I draw!", Steel said. "I summon Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands! When I summon him, I can add a ritual spell or ritual monster to my hand! I'll add a ritual spell! Now I play Harmonic Ritual to send two monsters whose levels equal eight from my field and deck to bring out BLS-Ultimate Soldier! But I can't do any decent damage because of your trap, so I'll end my turn."
"I draw! Perfect. I summon Divine Dragon Apocralyph! Now I can discard a card to add a dragon from my graveyard to my hand! Then I'll end my turn."
"My turn!", Gold said as he drew his card. "I play Card Advance! Now I'can look at the top five cards of my deck, and I'm allowed an extra normal summon! I'll summon Kaiser Seahorse and tribute him to summon out Crimson Dragon! Now his effect activates! I can target and destroy one monster you control and gain its attack points! Now I'll play Mystical Space Typhoon! This should take care of your Spiritual Swords of Revealing Light! Now I'll attack you directly! Crimson Plasma Blast!"
"Not so fast! I banish Spiritual Swords from my graveyard to negate your direct attack!"
"Blast! I set a card and end my turn.", Gold said with a frown.
"My turn. I draw! Yes...YES! AHHHAHAHAHAH! I've already won!", Abyss said with a wicked smile. "I play the spell card Absolute Chaotic End of Harmony! I'll send BLS and Chaos Emperor Dragon from my hand to the graveyard to summon Anankos, Absolute Dragon Ruler of Destiny! Now I'll activate one of his effects! I'll pay 1000 life points so he can attack twice! I'll take down Meteor Black Comet Dragon and Blue Eyes Alternative! Destiny Stream!" Burst and Inferno cringed as they took damage from the attack! "And now it ends!"
"What are you talking about?!", Burst demanded. Abyss had a sneer on her face.
"Look behind you." Burst and the others looked in the direction of earth, and were horrified at what they saw! The whole planet was destroyed! "AHAHAHAHA! All I needed to do was summon Anankos! Even if you defeat me, I still win! Everything you all loved and held dear...is now gone!"

"Our home...", Ace whispered.
"Our families....", Shadow said as he fell to his knees. Ice clutched his head.
"This can't be real...."
"Everything we ever knew...", Gold said as his heart sank.
"It's all....gone.", Inferno said. Burst couldn't believe it. There was no way this could happen. It wasn't real. It had to be impossible! But there was no use in denying it. His world. His home. It was all gone in an instant.
"No...NOOO!", Burst screamed in sorrow and rage! All the girls were speechless as silent tears fell from their eyes.
"YOU MONSTER!", Ace said as he drew his card! "I summon Lemon Magician Girl! Now I play Magical Dimension to tribute Lemon Magician Girl so I can special summon Dark Magician Girl from my hand! Now I play the Eyes of Timaeus to fusion summon DMG-The Dragon Knight! Now I'll use her effect! I discard a card to target and destroy one monster you control!" DMG used her effect, but it did nothing to Anankos! "WHAT?!"
"One of Anankos's effects is that he cant be targeted for card effects!"
"Grrrrr! I end my turn!", Ace said with a scowl.
Abyss had a cruel smile as she looked at the pained expressions on the duelists' faces. "The despair on your faces looks so fitting. Now to further your pain! I'll halve Anankos's attack to attack you all directly!" Burst and the others cringed once again as they took damage! "I've let you suffer enough for this turn."

"You just made yourself easier to beat Abyss!", Ice said defiantly! "I play Double Summon to summon Top Runner and Alexandrite Dragon! I tune Alexandrite Dragon with Top Runner to synchro summon Red Dragon Archfiend! Attack her monster! Absolute Power Force!" Red Dragon Archfiend wrapped his fist in flames, and unleashed a devastating blow! But when the dust cleared, Anankos was still standing! "How is that thing still standing?!"
"Anankos can't be destroyed by battle with a monster that doesn't have 'Absolute' or 'Harmony' in it's name. Also, I take no damage from any battles!", Abyss said with an evil smile.
"I end my turn.", Ice said with a growl.
"I draw. Since you ended your turn, Anankos's attack returns to normal. Now I'll halve his attack again to attack you all directly!" The guys were knocked to the ground! "I end my turn."

"I can't make any move that would do any good!", Shadow said in frustration! "So I'll set a card and end my turn."
"My move. I pay 1000 life points to attack twice! I'll destroy Red Dragon Archfiend and Dark Magician Girl The Dragon Knight!" Ace and Ice braced themselves as their monsters were destroyed! "I end my turn."

"I summon a monster in defense mode and end my turn!", Fang said.
"How futile.", Abyss responded. "I banish one monster in my graveyard to banish your defense mode monster! Attack him directly!"

"Not good!", Venus said as he noted their dwindling life points. "I set a card and end my turn! Not that it'll do much good..."
"So it seems you accept your fate. Let me hasten the process! Attack them again Anankos!"

Burst felt powerless. Everything he and his friends had fought so hard to protect...so hard to save...all of it was gone. For once, he actually began to despair. But then he remembered what Nightmare had said to him. 'Know that there are people willing to stand by you and support you. You're not alone Burst.' Abyss noticed Burst's state of mind and decided to kick him while he was down.
"What's the matter? Feeling a bit isolated? How satisfying it is to know that I did what no other foe has done! I beat you!", Abyss gloated. However, she ceased when she heard something coming from Burst. It was laughter! Burst rose to his feet and was smiling!
"You're wrong Abyss. I'm never alone! In fact, this duel is just about over!" A rainbow-colored flash went off on top of Burst's deck! "I activate the spell card Harmony Absolute in my hand! Now I tribute the Blue Eyes White Dragon on my field to bring out Blue Eyes Absolute Dragon!" The others stared in awe as Blue Eyes Absolute descended from the heavens! "But I'm not done yet! I'm taking it to the next level! I play the spell card Ultimate Absolution! I tribute Blue Eyes Absolute Dragon to summon out the ultimate dragon! ABSOLUTE DRAGON GOD BAHAMUT!" As Burst cried out the name, a pillar of light shot up from the ground of the field! A gigantic dragon with platinum sclaes descended! However, in addition to his normal dragon wings, Bahamut also had a pair on angelic wings! As if that weren't enough, Bahamut's attack points were 10,000! "Now for his effect! When he's summoned, all effects on my opponent's field are negated!"
"NO!", Abyss hissed!
"Now Bahamut! Destroy Anankos with Neutron Flare!" Bahamut charged up his attack, and Anankos was wiped out in a flash of bright light! "But I'm not done yet! One of Bahamut's other abilities activates! Since he destroyed your monster, he can attack again!" Abyss braced herself as she took even more damage! "That's all for my turn!"

"My turn then! I activate the Harmony Absolute card I set earlier! Now I banish Red Eyes Black Dragon from my graveyard to summon Red Eyes Absolute Dragon! Attack her directly! Absolute Inferno Fire Blast!"
"I activate Mirror Force!" But as Red Eyes closed in on the trap, he broke right through it and blasted Abyss directly! "What? HOW?!"
"One of Absolute's effects! He's unaffected by card effects!", Inferno replied with a boastful smile! "That's it for me!"

"My turn then! I'll attack your monster with BLS!" In one fell swoop, Abyss's monster was destroyed! "But I'm not done yet! Now you take damage equal to your monster's attack points! And since BLS destroyed your monster by battle, he gets to attack again!" Abyss was knocked to the floor after BLS unleashed a devastating slash! "I end my turn!"

Now I'll target Anankos in the graveyard and steal his attack points! This brings him to 8000! Crimson Plasma Arc!" Abyss howled in pain as she took the full force of Gold's attack! "I end my turn!"

I'll also tribute Obnoxious Celtic Guardian! Now I summon Legendary Knights Timaeus, Critias and Hermos! Attack her directly! Legendary Blade Strike!"

"This...can't...be!", Abyss growled! 'Impossible! There's nothing that can help me!' "I pass."
"Oh it's happening lady!", Ice spat. "I play the spell card Synchro Harmony! Now I'll tune Red Dragon in my graveyard with a tuner from my deck! I synchro summon Red Dragon Archfiend Ascended! Now attack her directly! Ascended Absolute Power Force!"

"I pass again.", Abyss fumed.
"Then it's my move! I play Trade-In to discard a level eight monster and draw two cards! Now I play Return of the Dragon Lords to revive the monster I sent! Welcome back Armed Protector Dragon! Now I can summon Parsec the Interstellar Dragon! Now I overlay them to summon Dragluon! Then I activate Xyz Harmony to bring out Dragloun Eternity! Attack her directly!"

"How can I be so close to defeat?!", Abyss howled as she cursed her deck!
"Because you see everything around you as tools!", Fang replied! "Now it's time for you to meet your destiny! I fuse Destiny Heroes Dogma and Plasma in my hand with Polymerization! I fusion summon Destiny End Dragoon! Attack her directly! Destiny Fang Slash!"

"It's quite real I'm afraid!", Venus Bloomer said as a rainbow colored flash went off on his deck! "I play Rose Synchro Harmony! I'll send Black Rose Dragon from my extra deck and a tuner monster from my deck to synchro summon Black Rose Full Bloom Dragon! Attack with Blooming Rose Storm!" Abyss winced as razor sharp petals surrounded her in a tornado! "I end my turn!"

"No...NO!", Abyss howled! "You should all be despairing and emotional wrecks! I took away everything from you!"
"Maybe...", Burst said as a rainbow colored flash went off on top of his deck again. "But I won't let that prevent me from giving this duel all I have! And now to end it! I play the spell card Absolute Legacy! I tribute Bahamut to revive Blue Eyes Absolute Dragon! And now Legacy's effect activates! Now all monsters on our field can attack at once! Also, you can't activate any cards in response!"
"NO!", Abyss howled!
"Alirght guys! ROCK THE DRAGON!", Burst and the others let out a mighty battle cry as they launched their final attack! Abyss was swallowed up by a brilliant rainbow colored light and disintegrated into nothing! The guys fell to the floor while their girlfriends rushed to tend to them. Their final battle was over.
Epilogue: A new beginning
"We did it...WE BEAT HER!", Inferno cheered. The other guys had exhausted smiles as well as their girlfriends. But they all noticed one figure was silent. Burst hadn't moved and was standing completely. still. "Burst?"
"damn it. ...Damn it.....DAMN IT!", Burst screamed as his fist slammed into the ground! The others rushed over to him!
"Burst! It's over we won!", Gold said as he tried to restrain Burst.
"Yeah. It's over. Earth is gone! What's the point of us standing here if everything we cared about...everything we loved is gone!" Tears were streaming down Burst's face. "And yet I still hope this is all just a horrible nightmare! This can't be how it all ends! It can't!" Burst fell to his knees as he cried, and Celestia and Nightmare held him tightly. Burst had calmed down enough to stop crying and shouting. "This can't be how it ends...it can't be..."
"No. This isn't how it's going to end.", a new voice said. The group turned their heads to see a portal open and a figure step through. "Burst. This isn't the end of your story."
"Wh-who are you?", Burst asked.
"My name is Thunder Force. And my friend and I have been watching you for some time." Soon, Slifer the Sky Dragon appeared next to Thunder Force.
"Slifer!", Blue Eyes said as he promptly bowed.
"There is no need to bow Blue Eyes.", Slifer said as the two other egyptian god cards appeared.
"In fact...", Obelisk said as he began to kneel. "It is we who should bow before you. For yours is a power that surpasses ours on every level."
"But...why are you here?", Burst asked.
"You said it yourself Burst. This can't be how things end. And in fact, it will not! We have come to give you a new beginning!", Ra declared.
"But how is such an act possible?!", Blue Eyes asked.
"By combining our powers, we can create a universal reboot. Your lives will begin anew.", Slifer replied.
"That's awesome!", Inferno cheered.
"However, there will be one drawback.", Ra added. "None of you will have any memories of this and all your past adventures will be erased and your lives will begin from your birth onwards. Also, some events may change. Nothing will play out exactly as it has."
"The only question left is: Will you accept this new beginning?", Obelisk asked. The whole group was silent until Burst stepped forward.
"If it means this never happens, I gladly accept!", Burst said proudly.
"An excellent choice Burst. Now brothers!", Slifer declared. The three gods combined their powers and created a portal. "Step through, and your universe shall be reborn." Burst nodded and smiled as he dashed toward the portal!
"Alright Blue Eyes! LET'S ROCK THE DRAGON!" Burst jumped into the portal and saw his life going backwards. 'So this isn't the end. Every duel I've ever had has made me and my friends grow. Not just as duelists, but as people. And through the game, I also met the women I love. I guess you could say in me and my friends' case....friendship is dueling.' Burst closed his eyes. Waiting to awake anew in the new beginning that awaited him and his friends.

The story is not over. It's simply beginning again. In Yu-Gi-Oh! Friendship is Dueling!
"The time has come...", the woman said as she took hold of the card that was pulsating with dark energy. "Only one component remains. For once you are summoned, it will all be over." She then gazed at an image of Sunset. "And she has the last piece I need to bring you out..." Sunset was walking home when she felt a chill in the air. She turned around, and found a cloaked figure standing in the direction behind her.
"I'm guessing you're not exactly friendly...", Sunset said as she got her duel disk ready. The cloaked woman let out a chuckle.
"You assume correctly. You have something I need, and it doesn't look like you're going to give it to me by choice." The woman then readied her own duel disk. "So it looks like I'm going to have to take it."

"I've got the first move!", Sunset said as she drew her hand! "I special summon Guardian Eatos and end my turn! Your move!"
"I draw.", the woman said. "I play Card Destruction! Now we both discard our hands to draw new ones. Perfect. I banish the light and dark monster in my graveyard to special summon Chaos Emperor Dragon-Envoy of the End!" Sunset's eyes widened as the legendary banned monster appeared! "Now I activate his effect! I pay 1000 life points so that we send all cards on the field and in our hands! Now you take 300 points of damage for each card sent!"
"Nnnggghh!", Sunset winced as she took damage from Chaos Emperor's powerful effect!
"I'll end my turn.", the woman said with a smirk.

"That card's banned! How can you use it?", Sunset snapped! The woman still had a smirk on her face.
"Trade secret."
"I draw! This could be handy later. For now I'll end my turn.", Sunset said as she drew her next card.
"My move then. I draw! I'll set a card and attack you directly!" Sunset winced as Chaos Emperor Dragon's breath attack collided with her life points! "I end my turn."

"I draw! Nice! I banish one light and one dark monster to summon my own envoy monster! Come on out BLS!"
"Not so fast! I activate Chaos Trap Hole! If you would summon a light or dark monster, I can negate the summon and banish the monster!"
"No! Now I've got nothing left! I...I end my turn.", Sunset said with a defeated look on her face.
"And now it all ends!", the cloaked woman said with a maniacal grin! "End it Chaos Emperor Dragon!" Sunset braced herself as her life points dropped to zero! "But I'm not done yet..." Sunset looked at her BLS card, and saw it being pulled away from her!
"BLS!", she cried! BLS tried to escape the pull this woman had on him, but it was no use!
"At last...now I have everything I need.", the woman said with a dark smile. Sunset watched as the woman teleported away, and soon fainted. Fortuantely, Gold noticed her passed out and noticed the damage done by this one duel.
'Who...or what...could have done this?', he thought.
