Prologue: Twilight's Interesting Morning
PROLOGUE: Twilight's Interesting Morning
Twilight let out a yawn as the morning light shown into her bedroom. Groaning she pulled the covers over her head in an attempt to get more sleep. The Purple Mare had been up all night studying and she was exhausted.
"Spike... Close the blinds please." She called to her dragon asisstant, whom, natrually was fast asleep himself and only groaned a reponse that sounded akin to "You do it mommy..."  Twilight rolled her eyes as she got up slowly, rubbing her eyes. She yanwed again as she streatched and made for the window. She smiled weakly as she looked around. It was a beautiful day indeed. No doubt one of Celestia's best works. The birds were singing, ponies were playing and doing their morning routine, a Gray flank with bubbles on it was sticking out of Twilight's mailbox. She yawned again as she closed the blinds and curled up back in bed. She started to slowly drift off to sleep when her eyes shot open.
"Gray flank with bubbles sticking out of the mail box... Oh.... Derpy..." She got up and groggily walked outside to the mailbox. "Good morning Derpy.."
"Munning." The muffled voice of the pegasus answered back, cheerfully as if her head wasn't currently jammed in a mailbox. "AH bought you a lettah."  Twilight rolled her eyes as she pulled the pegasus out with her magic. She shook her head as the derp-eyed pegaus gleefully clapped like nothing happened and pulled the letter for Twilight out of her bag.  "A special letter from Pinkie Pie! Something about a big party.... Celebrating something big.... Oh well, I gots more letters to deliver!"" The pegasus saluted before flying off to continue her route.
Twilight shook her head again and opened the letter looking at it as she went inside to start breakfast.
"Dear Twilight!
Hi! How ya doin? It's me, Pinkie Pie, my day is no doubt going lovely! I hope yours is too, because I would be ever so sad if it wasn't... But hey, Even if it isn't going so well than perhaps this invitation to my super awesome, super big party will brighten up your day! And if your day was already going well, than this party will make it all the better! It's tonight at the town hall! HOW COOL IS THAT?! Well hope to see you there,

PS. Bring spike too! He's TOOOOTTALY invited... I think Sweetie Belle mentioned something about hoping to see him, no idea what she meant though...."
Twilight rolled up the note and chuckled. "Oh Pinkie, of course I'll be there... I wonder who all else is going." She said going to get ready.
