Prolouge

Once a Villan

location: Canterlot, Equesria

date: 1000 C.R.

Time: 12:00 pm.

Three mysterious figures were walking through the silent, dark, streets of Equesria's capital, the light from Luna's moon being the only source of light being their guide. As the three walked one spoke up silently so as not to arouse susspicion on them from the gurard patrolling the streets that night.

"Come on Lucian, when do we get to eat?" a mare spoke.

"Soon, my dear, very soon." a stalion, being Lucian, said.

"Mira. we havent been out that long, can't you be a little more patient?" a second stalion asked.

"Shut up Alucard, at least I get to actualy eat unlike those pigs and cows you feed on" Mira, the mare, said.

"One more word about what i choose to eat and I'll-" Alucard began.

"Enough! Both of you stop your incessant squabling or I'll make you wish you had garlic for breakfast understand?" Lucian said angrily.

"yes, sir." they said.

"Good. now theres a perfectly good specimen right there." Lucian said pointing to a large Night Gard standing alone in front of them his back faceing them.

"Ah perfect!!" Mira said excited.

"Alright Mira remember what i taught you. aim for the throat quick and silent. Go." Lucian said and let Mira have the first bite of the gard. She quickly incapacitated the gard and began to feed on his blood.

"Come on Guys! he's Delicious." Mira said and began to eat again. Lucian slowly steped toward the dead gard and began to eat.  Alucard on the other hoof stayed where he was.

"Alucard? why arent you eating?" Lucian asked.

"I-Im not hungry." Alucard said.

"Nonsence, you haven't eaten since yesterday." Lucian said coaxing him to eat.

"No!!! I'm not going to eat him!!" Alucard shouted. at this Lucian and Mira looked at him shocked and a bit angry.

"What did you say?" Lucian asked darkly.

"I'm not eating him Lucian, I'm never eating inocent Ponies again." Alucard said firmly.

"Don't do this Alucard. What would Master say?" Lucian said cautiosly.

"To Tartarus with Master!! Goodbye Lucian. I hope one day you see things my way." Alucard said and started walking away.

"Where will you go Alucard?! The Princess won't save you! Once She knows what you are She'll kill you! Alucard! Get Back here! ALUCARD!" Lucian cried out but Alucard was already gone.

Time: 12:41

Location: Canterlot Casltle, Equestria

Celestia sat on her throne waiting for the last of the nightly duties to be done so she may head to her chambers for the night. Just then a Guard stepped through the doors of the throne room and bowed before her.

"Forgive me for the intrusion Your Highness, but Somepony wishes to speak with you." the guard said.

"Very well, send them in." Celestia said and sat up looking proper for her guest.

"as you wish majesty." the Guard said and stepped back through the doors and a second stalion stepped through the doors and knelt before her.

"Princess Celestia, My name is Alucard, I am a Thestral from the east. I come before you to ask your permission to serve you as a member of your Night Guard." Alucard said still knealing.

"And what makes you fit to serve as my Night Guard?" Celestia asked.

"I admit my life hasn't been easy. I have been this age for a long time. I used to drink the blood of other Ponies but recently I have grown a distaste for it. if I were to serve you I would fight for Equestria and her Ponies for as long as I live." Alucard said admiting what he was. Celestia contemplated what the stalion said for a while before saying:

"Very well, Alucard, I shall Alow you to serve in my Night Guard and my successors should i chose one. but only if you promise to only drink the blood of equesrias enemies or that of livestock. do we understand eachother?"

"I understand My Lady." Alucard said bowing again.

"Then I pronounce you Sir Alucard, Night Guard of Equestria."
