Some memories are just to painful to remember, so why not forget. It was a strange statement on this brochure, they promised to get rid of memories completely in just one easy session. New magic is what they claimed. A unicorn named Doctor Mind, he specialized in psychological magic and the way the mind worked. At the point I was at I was sick of dealing with the feelings everyday; I'd wake up, think of her, immediately resent myself, and think of nothing else the rest of the day. She'd started to get into my dreams even, it's like being followed my a sick feeling no matter where you go, it's not going to hurt you but it's around every corner waiting to make you feel like manure. Have you ever just had the feeling that you're done with a memory so much that you wish you could just cut it out? That's where I am that's why I'm already here standing in front of this building, that's why I already booked an appointment for this time today, that's why I want to forget it all ever even happened. Letting go is the easy part right? Especially now when you can just pay someone to help you forget.

I walked in to the lobby where elevator music was playing and a smiling mare behind the counter greeted me.

"Hello, sir, do you have an appointment?"

"Ye..." I cleared my throat, my mouth was dry from the nerves, "Yes, Bronze. My name is Bronze Forge"

"Great and have you been here before?" She asked

"No I have-"

"Oh dear I was joking, if you have you wouldn't remember anyway. Come with me please." She grabs a big file with my name on it.

"There's quite a few memories in this one, she must have been really special." She tries to start a conversation with me.

"Please I'd like to keep this between myself and the Doctor if you don't mind." I replied.

"Oh not an issue my dear." She smiles and opens a door into an empty white room. "Enter if you'd like to continue. But I am required to remind you one last time that from here there is no turning back, once you enter this room you can no longer return until the process is complete."

I nodded and went into the white empty room, it was like an optical illusion it was so pure white that I couldn't make out the corners of the room it was like it was a never ending void of emptiness. Just then a voice sounded over an intercom.

"Hello there Bronze, how are we feeling today?" The voice asked.

"Are you the Doctor?" I asked.

"Go ahead and lie down for me so we can start." He said avoiding my question.

I was skeptical but proceeded to follow instructions. I lay down on the cold floor, I shivered a bit.

"Now before we begin I'd like to ask you a few questions. You're going to answer them to the best of your knowledge and when you wake back up I'm going to ask you the same questions to make sure the procedure worked properly." He told me.

What he'd told me was more of a statement but I agreed anyway. "Okay."

"Question 1, what is your name?" He asked.

"Bronze Forge, sir." I replied.

"Question 2, what was her name?"

I stopped for a minute... for a few short minutes I had actually been able to focus on something other than her. Was I doing the right thing? Could I learn to  get over her without having to do this?

"Answer the question Bronze."

"Sorry... Lily, Lily Anne Rose was her name."

"Great and one more question... Why do you want to forget her?"

His words hit me hard, the whole reason I was here weighed down on my chest and almost stopped me from breathing. I'd never even told anyone the truth of what I'd found out. Who she was... what she was. I could barely come to terms with it myself....

"Bronze I need you to-"

"Changling... she's was a changling... She didn't really love me she was using me to feed." I said choking back tears.

"Wonderful, now are you ready to begin?"

I nodded. "Yes."

"Alright, let's get started."
