Chapter 1: War of The Colossus!
THE MIGHTY APE AND THE FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL! CONGAR VERSUS THE CENTAUR!
The sky above the once sky blue Washington D.C. was covered with the toxic black smoke of fire made from the burning wreckage of an alien mother-ship that launched the invasion of earth. Pieces and debris coated the Capital Building, Washington Monument, and the once shining memorial lake in front of the spire. In front of the man-made white building that once helped the country grow and flourish, was now a burning inferno covered with alien tech. War had plagued the earth for months now, major cities around the world reduced to rubble, hundreds of lives ended, and atmosphere contamination because of nuclear explosions. People once thought the war ended when the UFO's crashed on earth from the world governments attempt to fight. It was successful, but in return monsters were created from the ooze that powered the machines.
Seven of them were born that day. Congar the Ape was the first, originally a chimp sent to explore the atmosphere, his probe collided with a falling UFO and the splash damage mutated his body. The deep-sea leviathan Togera was next. Blades of pure bone built into her body as add-ons to her own skeleton. She was discovered by a ship of fisherman near the Atlantic ocean. Preytor the Mantis was next, the insect has no conscious or emotions. The only thing she desires is to reproduce and destroy mankind, by any means necessary. Some of the ships landed in spiritual ridden countries, causing the people who live there to see the crash landings as a sign. This was the cause of the birth of the Mayan monster Agamo. One ship landed inside a live volcano in the ring of fire sector of the earth, causing the molten creature Magmo to be born. In an effort to counter the rising count of creatures, the governments of The United States and Japan decided to create monsters of their own, and so the machines known as Robo-47 and Ultra-V were created. However with the alien ooze being used in their creation, the machines grew artificial intelligence. Finally, the ooze has the power to change even human DNA to create a monstrous creation. The electric cyclops Kinecticlops was then born from this fusion. His body made of pure electricity, the only sense of human intelligence and organism left is the large eye inside the electric body. Now the monsters claimed the world as their battle ground. More destruction has plagued the once peaceful planet then it ever has. That was until a entire year after fighting, a plan was made.
JULY 20TH, 1955.
AREA 51, ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO.
The lights were dim and gave off an ominous feel to the pitch white hallway. No windows, noise isolated walls, white enough to hide camouflage an albino white cat. The echos of black dress shoes clapped against the white tile floor. His white lab coat flowing in the wind he left behind as he walked down the ominous hallway toward a solid metal door. The mans hands were hanging in his pockets, tan colored files under his arm with a bright red "CLASSIFIED" on the front of the file. He feet came to a sudden clap and stop once he reached the metal door. Raising his arm from his other pocket, the scientist adjusted his glasses back up his nose bridge. Reaching back into his pocket, he pulled a metallic key from his pocket and reached forward and slid it inside the slot. The metal door let out three beeps and the mechanism clicked. The metal door clicked and slowly opened to the side, on the other side was a mix of black and red glowing technology surrounded by a large auditorium with large screens on the wall. The scientist in question walked past other people on the catwalk. Their eyes glued to the screens with black sunglasses, their fingers tapping rapidly on the keyboards in front of them.
Whilst the man walked through the central hub, the barking and screaming of men with dark colored suits and uniforms sat around a round table. A world map visible on said round table. Various shot glasses were scattered around and cigarette bowls were filled to the brim with ash and butts. It looked as though a political party went bad. Various world flags were stitched to the officers uniforms.
"The battle in Washington D.C. was the last straw dammit!" shouted US army general Gerald Ford, a broad shouldered and husky looking man with gray and black whiskers covering his neck and chin. His eyes dragged down from bags from lack of sleep and large intake of alcohol.
"If we don't find a solution these monsters, heads will spin! Do I make myself clear?!"
Every suited man in the lobby froze from hearing the general scream and bark like a bulldog toward them. He was drunk, but not out of pure will but out of stress and agony of having the country and even the president of the United States on his back. Then, like a rising hope from among silent voices, a hand raised from the back of the table. The general snapped his eyes toward man with bloodshot and alcoholic eyes.
"You! What do you got?" he said with a husky tone.
The blue collared man sat up from his back chair and adjusted his large square glasses.
"If I may sir, my organization has a solution to your monster problem."
Everyone suited person at the table looked upon the blue suited man with confusion. The general just scoffed.
"Really? And whats your organization called?" A small smirk formed across the right side of the mans face, his glasses shining in the light over head.
"We are called the FMCA, or, Federal Monster Containment Agency."
The general scoffs and purrs a shot glass full of hard whiskey. Without taking a second guess for his liver health, or how hung over he already was, he downed the alcohol and let out a heavy snort and cough.
"Oh yeah? What's so fancy about your little club pretty boy?" He laughed in his throat.
The man in the blue suit smirked and moved his hands behind his back, giving off a disciplined attitude as he walked around circular table and his colleagues.
"You see sir, I am a man of action. So is my organization. We strive to capture and study the unnatural organisms the world has to offer. We are what the common man wishes to be! The sword in the stone, waiting to be pulled by anyone worthy enough! The missing link, don't you see?"
Now, the blue suited stranger stood next to the drunk general, who still didn't look convinced. He sighed and adjusted his glasses.
"General, what I'm getting at is that my organization needs your hand to pull the sword. We need your OK."
The drunker wiped his grey peach fuzz on his lips free of whiskey and he burped into his hand. He groaned and sat down in the chair behind him. He placed his hand on his head and waved off to the blue suited man.
"Do whatever you want, just get rid of those freaks." The man in the blue suit smiled with a wide grin that spread from ear to ear. "Thank you sir, you won't be disappointed."
The remains of what was the Destroyer of Worlds laid before the champion of Earth and the strongest monster to defeat the others. His teeth barred to the death alien and his humongous fists clenched from punching and pummeling the machine organism until it crumbled like dirt to his feet. The rest of his adversaries were defeated, none left to oppose him. Congar growled and raised his arms in the air to unleash a earth shaking roar that echoed across the ghost town that was once Washington D.C. Bouncing off empty or destroyed buildings or channeling through the ally ways that were not free of any human life. The fire that erupted from the capital building and other parts of the city clouded the sky with red from the setting sun and black soot from the fire. Armageddon had arrived on Earth for only a few hours, and it all ended by a mutant monkey.
As he finished his victory roar, Congar gasped for a large intake of air and he fell to his knees out of exhaustion. He didn't escape the fire injury free. The alien had tossed him around so much, and had thrown building after building in his face. The large ape could feel shards of shrapnel in his arm and chest. He was a wounded champion, but he won against the odds. His orange pupils looked toward the sky and saw the sun barely shinning through the clouds over head. He leaned backward and sat himself on the lawn of the capital building. Holding his chest with a furry arm wrapped around his abdomen. He wasn't dying. He just needed rest was all. The ape wanted to shut his eyes and sleep there in front of his victory. The humans would be to scared to engage, they knew his name now. As the giant ape began to shut his eyes to sleep, a ear splitting shriek could be heard from beyond the capital building behind him. Congar's eyes shot open and he sat up with a wince from the pain in his chest. He turned to the shriek and noticed the blade like bones poking through the white building. Then, they were gone and a reptilian monster jumped up onto the roof. The monsters blade like bones retreating back into its arms. The monster had the same kind of appendages all over its body and even the tip of its tail. It looked aquatic but badly dehydrated. The webbing between the fingers ripped or gone completely. Parts of its body bruised and scraped. The menacing red eyes starring down at Congar with revengeful lust. Togera let out a roar of her own toward the ape.
Congar grunted as he laid eyes upon his first opponent back in Las Vegas. He remembered the destruction she caused and the people she killed out of pure enjoyment. Togera was anything from merciful. The aquatic monster unsheathed her blades from here arms and let out a roar that rivaled nails on a chalk board. Revenge or even rematch was on her mind. Congar felt at a disadvantage because of detreated state. Another fight with Togera would surely kill him. The ape was to stubborn to back down though, he showed this lizard who was superior in the past and he could do it again. The ape let out a colossal roar toward the opponent and she let out as well. Both then charged at each other, leaping off their standing ground in a jousting fashion. A fists smashed the earth and a blade was skating across the ground. The distance was closing quickly between the two and both their arms raised high above them. One would be struck and one would be safe. It was all coming down to the final strike. Congar leaped himself in the air just above Togera could swipe at him. The reptile looked toward the dark colored sky and saw the shadow of the ape falling toward her. She shrieked like an elephant and readied her blades for the falling ape. As Congar was falling, his thunderous roar shot itself down to earth and his arm was ready to strike. Pulled back like a hammer of a gun, ready to fire. Just as a the two would clash, a bright aurora of blue blinded Congar and Togera. None the less, the ape continued to fall but shooting his fists forward like a bullet out of a pistol toward what he thinks is his opponent below him. As the bright blue light ignited more like a shinning flame, all the mighty ape could see was white. All he could hear, was his own breathing.
The fist that was shot forward by the mutant ape felt something. It was hard but also soft. Like a piece of meat with bone below the skin. He first thought the fist he launched had hit Togera while she was stunned. Congar's fist pushed against a cheek, sending who ever was at the end of it flying away from him. The ape then felt earth, his body twirled around like a run away tire until he finally stopped and landed on his rear. The white that blinded his eyes was quickly vanishing, the colorless vision turning to one that he knew. The red and orange of a setting sun but also the black smoke that coppered the sky. Congar looked around but noticed the biggest change was the lack of buildings. Matter of fact, there were no buildings at all. Nothing but the tree of trees and the blue of mountains scattered for miles upon endless miles. The giant ape originally thought he died and was now in a heaven of his own thinking. He then heard the grunting of a soft yet squeaky female voice. The giant ape turned his head and eye sight toward the ground, there he saw the most peculiar thing he could ever see. A little purple pony, wings from the looks of it. Her main was a darker shade of purple while a stream of pink went down the middle. She looked bruised and scratched pretty bad but alive. Congar was curious, he started to lean himself down toward her. His large nose taking in her scent. She didn't smell like a threat or anything he needed to be concerned about. Trying to be gentle as he could, the mighty ape scooped the pony in his right palm and looked down at her with a questionable look. She looked unconscious.
Then, the sound of a thunderous roar almost on par with Congar's ringed out through the range of trees and mountains. The ape looked and saw the strangest creature he had ever laid eyes on. The beast had a body of a human but the bottom of the pony in his hand. Horns protruded from his skull and fur covered his entire head. The monster held its head, a noticeable scrap against its cheek. Congar then realized what had happened after passing through that bright light. But the question was, where was he? Before the ape could even think, the roar bellowed again.
"You dare strike me monster!?" the centaur growled. "Do you know who I am? I am Tirek!"
Congar never heard of him. The centaur then pointed to the pony in his hand.
"If you affiliate yourself with those ponies, your my enemy as well!"
Suddenly, the centaur charged himself forward, horns pointed toward to the ape. Congar narrowed his heavy eye brows and quickly placed the little pony in the brush behind him, making sure it was out of the way. As the centaur charged closer, the ape leaped forward and grasped his horns. His body flipping over the top of the centaur's body and with it, all of him was thrown over the apes back and tossed into the side of a mountain. He grunted and attempted to stand. Congar on the other hand winced in pain once again, falling to one knee and holding his side. He was not proficient to fight still.
Tirek growled as his eyes pulsated with red. His roared as a sudden beam of magic blasted from between his eyes, catching the ape by surprise. Congar took the shot full force, shooting him back and skidding across the green terrain. Smoke flowed from the ape's chest and he grunted in pain. It was a pain that felt worse then human weapons and even monsters he faced. His insides felt like they were hard boiled. Despite the pain, the mighty ape needed to stand. He needed a fast way to win without killing himself. An idea then struck his mind. Congar sat up from the ground while holding his chest and let out a roar. Tirek barred his fangs and clenched his fists.
"Still got fight left in you? Don't worry, your death will be quick!"
Another magic stream was being built between the horns of the centaur. Congar barred his own fangs and got down on all of his fours. His legs were spread far apart and so were his arms. He arched his back forward and bent his elbows at the joint. As Tirek charged, his foe he noticed the intake of air was fading and it was becoming hard to breathe as he charged his blast. Never minding the problem however, he unleashed his blast.
"Die!" He shouted.
As the blast travelled toward Congar, the ape suddenly took in a deep in take of air. Then, like a cyclone, a large wave of air blasted from his earthshaking roar. Destroying the sound barrier that was engulfed and sending the massive boom toward the blast. As the two connected, the thunderous wave of sound shattered the magic stream and sent it along also toward the centaur. Before he knew it, Tirek was rocketed backward Into the same mountain he was thrown into. Congar soon stopped his thunderous sound wave and inhaled a years worth of air into his lungs. He fell to his knees and saw the large crater that was left in the mountain and in the center was the limp centaur. With this knew victory, Congar raised himself once more and pounded at his chest with his hands. His victorious roar reaching the miles it could stretch and the little village just a few meters next to him.
