Underneath This Pale Moon Sky
Three
Previous ChapterLunch was delicious. It always was when it was Granny Smith’s cooking.
Rainbow gorged herself on jalapeño and cheese sausage, baked beans and macaroni and cheese.
All homemade and cooked over an open flame.
Rainbow couldn’t ever remember a time when she’d had a more filling, appetizing meal. Especially when it was paired with an ice cold beer… or two.
After everyone had eaten, they spent a good few hours just messing around and hanging out.
Braeburn opened his truck doors and plugged in his phone, putting it on the classic rock station so he could jam while he got the grill going.
Del and Big Mac worked on setting the tents up and Granny Smith fell asleep in her shaded lawn chair.
Rainbow and Applejack piddled around in the water while keeping an eye on Apple Bloom and Jonagold who were watching the toddler so that Strongheart could take a ride on the jet ski with her husband while he was waiting for the coals to die down a little.
Fritter and Wildwood laid on towels in the grass and worked on their tans.
“Sis! Hey sis!” Apple Bloom called out to Applejack who was lounging on a yellow float while Rainbow lazily held onto the side of it so she didn’t drift away.
“Yeah?”
“When Strong gets back will y‘take me and Jona on a truck ride? We wanna see the cows! I asked Big Mac if he would take us but he said to ask you ‘cause he wants to take a nap!”
The blonde grinned and shook her head. “That lazy son of a gun…” she muttered, before yelling back, “sure thing sugarcube, me and Rainbow would love t’take you!”
Applejack pulled her sunglasses down and winked at her friend. “Ain’t that right, Rae?”
“Oh sure, volunteer me,” Rainbow joked, flicking a bit of water towards the farmer.
“Like you’ve got anything better t’do.”
"There's plenty of things I'd rather be doing right now..." she muttered to herself.
They lazed around a while longer, enjoying the peaceful silence of each others company.
Though, even with Macintosh’s warning, Rainbow couldn’t help but to steal glances at her friend every now and then.
Eventually, Strongheart and Braeburn found their way back to the camp.
Applejack and Rainbow joined them on land, sliding back into their clothes.
“Y’ready t’go, Bloom?” The blonde asked as the redhead gave baby Braevheart back to her mother.
“Well actually… we were wonderin’ if y’could take us later? Jona had the idea to play hide and seek! Will y’play with us please?! Please?!” Apple Bloom looked up at her sister with puppy dog eyes.
“Fine, but only a couple rounds, it’s almost a half past four and there ain’t no use in goin’ t’see cows in the dark. Plus, supper’s gonna be done in a little while.”
“Wait,” Rainbow interrupted, “How’d you know what time it was?”
“Well, another interestin’ fact y’don’t know ‘bout me is that I can tell the time by the sun.”
“Woah, really?”
Applejack cracked a smirk. “Naw, Jona got a text message and it lit the screen up,” she pointed at the cell phone lying on the picnic table.
Rainbow huffed and rolled her eyes.
“So who’s gonna be it?” the athlete asked as she walked to the cooler and grabbed a bottle of beer. She pointed it at Applejack to see if she wanted one.
Applejack nodded her head.
“Oh, that’s easy!” Apple Bloom exclaimed, “One, two, three, not it!” Her and Jona both reached up and touched their index fingers to their noses.
Applejack followed suit a couple seconds later.
“Hey! That’s not fair! I wasn’t ready!” Rainbow complained as she handed her friend her drink.
“Yeah huh! I counted to three and everythin’!” Apple Bloom argued.
“C’mon now Dash, it’s just a game. Bloom’ll be whinin’ when it’s her turn anyways.”
“Ugh, alright. Where’s the base at?”
Applejack peered around for a moment before pointing at the campground rules sign down by the road.
“How ‘bout that?”
“Okay, and any rules I need to know about?”
“No! There’s not!” Apple Bloom said quickly, but her older sister put her hand over her mouth.
“Yeah there are, don’t listen t’her. First, see over there, where that big patch o’ cactus is? Y’can’t go past that, or else we’d be seachin’ for hours t’find anybody.
“And two,” she looked directly at Apple Bloom, “no hidin’ in trees, ‘cause that’s how y’get stuck.”
“Okay, got it. I’ll count to fifty.”
Rainbow took a couple swigs from her beer before setting it down and facing the opposite direction, covering her face with her hands.
“One…”
She could hear several pairs of feet take off over the music that was playing and the people chatting.
“Thirteen, fourteen…”
Braevheart shouted and cried as his mom tried to put his water shoes back on.
“Twenty-seven, twenty-eight-twenty-nine…”
A boat passed by and someone sneezed.
“Forty-eight, forty-nine, fifty!”
Rainbow opened her eyes and scanned the area. She walked away from the camp after checking behind and inside the obvious places like the tents and the vehicles.
She made her way down the road to the campsite that lay across from the one they were staying at.
It was barren save for a weatherworn picnic table and a small rock fire pit.
She kept an ear out for any snapping twigs or rustling of leaves as she walked over to the next site, taking in any movement she saw.
Rainbow was about to move back to the other side, to the campsite that was next to theirs when she heard a giggle come from one of the bushes on the side of the road.
The athlete grinned to herself and pretended not to notice, walking past it.
As soon as she was far enough away, Jonagold emerged and made a beeline down the road for the sign.
Rainbow was hot on her tail but lost ground when her flip flop caught on a rock sticking out of the dirt.
Rainbow cursed loudly as Jona reached the sign and grabbed it, smiling as she realized she hadn’t been caught.
Rainbow gave her a thumbs-up and went back the way she came from.
She strolled back to the last campsite she had to check. It was twice as big as the others, with more trees and bushes to go through.
She noticed an old, useless barbed wire fence behind the camp area and went to check it out.
There was nothing but woods on the other side, but the “No Trespassing” sign that hung crookedly told her to stay out.
She wondered for a moment if either Apple sister might have gone back there, but she heard a high-pitched twang yell out, “run!” behind her.
Rainbow took off, making sure to watch the ground for obstacles this time.
Applejack and Apple Bloom were both in front of her and as much as she wanted to catch Applejack just to show who was quicker, her sister was slower and a much easier target.
She caught up quickly, tagging Apple Bloom on the shoulder.
“Aw man! I was s’close!”
Rainbow laughed and gave her a high-five. “You did good there squirt, I almost didn’t catch you!”
They played a few more rounds until Apple Bloom got tired and cranky about being caught so many times.
They walked up to camp to find Granny Smith bustling around, putting dinner together.
Big Macintosh yawned and stretched as he helped her, still waking up from his nap.
Apple Bloom signed something to Jona before she asked, “can we go on the truck ride now before supper?!”
Applejack picked up her beer and took a drink.
“Yeah, reckon I promised y’all a ride, huh?”
“Yay!”
“Hey y’all,” Applejack said loudly, “I’m gonna take AB and Jona on a ride if anyone wants t’go!”
Wildwood grabbed a piece of sausage from the foil package on the picnic table and said, “I’ll go, I haven’t done that in a couple years!”
“I’ll go as well, Braevheart hasn’t been on one yet, I’m sure he’d enjoy it.” Strong told her.
“B-big Mac!” Granny Smith said, adding mustard into a bowl, “y’should take e’rybody on a ride in that new truck o’ yours!”
“Ain’tcha needin’ help though, Granny?” he asked her.
Braeburn spoke up from his spot over at the BBQ pit, “Granny’ll be fine! I’ve gotta stay here and watch the chicken anyway, I can help her out.”
“Well, if you’re sure… I was just about t’put the corn on the pit if y’wanna do that for me. It’d be much appreciated.”
“Sure thing cus, I think I can handle that.”
Everybody loaded up in the back of Mac’s truck except for Del, who rode in the front with Macintosh so they could chat.
Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Fritter rode on the toolbox while Apple Bloom and Jona sat on the open tailgate.
Strongheart and Wildwood sat in the bed, taking turns holding on to Braevheart, who moved from one side to the other, yelling and pointing out things to his mom that got his attention.
They moved down the bumpy road, talking and laughing as they passed other campers who waved as they went by.
Mac didn’t drive too fast or too slow, still making the girls hold on and screech in excitement when he hit a hole or made a turn.
He followed the road for a while until it T-ed, turning left and taking the road that didn’t look like it was as used as the other one.
The trees opened up a little and slowly started turning into more of a pasture.
Rainbow hadn’t seen any cows yet but she hadn’t really been paying that much attention.
She was more focused on the blonde beauty sitting on her right, talking to Fritter about something.
Applejack laughed and grabbed Rainbow’s hand as the truck hit a big pothole, making Rainbow Dash inadvertently move a bit closer to the edge.
“Don’t fall off now, I don’t want to have t’explain t’your parents how y’fell off a truck and died,” Applejack joked, and Rainbow noticed that the farmer hadn’t let go of her hand, but actually adjusted her fingers more comfortably in between hers.
Rainbow looked at their linked hands for a moment before glancing up at her friend who was blushing madly.
The cowgirl smiled. “Just in case.”
Apple Bloom, of course, ruined the moment by shouting, “Look! The cows!”
There were dozens of cows grazing around them in the fields, mostly black in color.
“Ain’t they cute!” The youngest Apple sibling squealed before signing something to her cousin.
“Yeah, cute in my stomach,” Rainbow quietly replied, earning a snort out of Applejack.
Braevheart screamed something unintelligible and threw his fists out at them.
They kept driving until the cows were gone and Big Mac found a place to turn around to head back to camp.
The sun was starting to set by the time they got back.
Apple Bloom and Jona ran up to Granny Smith and started talking a mile a minute about the animals they saw.
The elder woman sat a bowl down and said, “well tha’ sounds like it was a good time! I bet y’all’re hungry after all’a that! Suppers darn-near finished if y’wanna grab a plate an’ sit down. I think the chicken’s just ‘bout ready.”
The girls each grabbed a plastic plate and started scooping up food.
Applejack let Strongheart and Braevheart get their share before grabbing her own.
Rainbow piled her plate down with corn on the cob, potato salad, pinto beans and a couple rolls, grabbed her drink and found a spot next to Applejack by the fire pit in a green lawn chair.
“Y’all want some chicken?” Brae burn asked as he stood there holding a big platter and a fork.
“Oh yeah Brae, pile it on there,” Applejack held up her plate, “thanks.”
“No problem-o, AJ,” he finished with hers and set some on Rainbow’s.
“It’ll be up on the table if y’want more.”
Somehow, dinner was even better than lunch had been and Rainbow scarfed it down, not realizing how hungry she had been, sighing contentedly as she sat back in her chair and patted her stomach.
“I don’t think I can ever physically move again,” she told Applejack who was finishing up her own plate.
“Yepp, good food tends t’do that t’you.”
When everyone finished their meal, it was almost completely dark, so Applejack helped Big Mac light the lanterns and hang them in the trees while Rainbow offered to put up the leftovers. Not that there were many.
Fritter and Del worked on gathering more wood for the campfire and Apple Bloom and Jona found good marshmallow sticks for everybody.
“Who’s ready for s’mores?!” Fritter asked, bringing a bag full of supplies to the fire, sitting down in one of the open chairs.
She gave a plain graham cracker to Braevheart to munch on before passing the bag around so everyone could get a piece of chocolate, a marshmallow and a graham cracker if they wanted.
Rainbow noticed that Applejack didn’t toast her marshmallow, but just put it together like it was.
“You don’t like them melted?” Rainbow asked as she blew out her own sticky sweet and started to assemble it.
Applejack made a face. “Not really, I don’t like the texture.”
Braeburn walked by the fire to his wife and son who held up his cracker for his dad to see.
“What’cha got there, bud? Hmm?” He bent over and picked him up, a beer in one hand and his child in the other.
Rainbow watched as baby Braevheart put his treat to Braeburn’s lips who then pretended to eat it. “Nom nom nom, that’s yummy!”
Big Macintosh sat next to Apple Bloom and twisted the top off his own drink, holding a hand up when his sister offered him a marshmallow.
Del plopped down next to Strongheart, acoustic guitar in hand. “Who’s ready for some music? Y’ready to grace us with your beautiful voice, Braeburn?”
Braeburn flipped him off when Braevheart wasn’t looking.
“Hey now, just ‘cause I can’t sing worth a crap don’t mean nothin’, Fritter can’t sing neither.”
“She can’t sing but at least she can hold a tune halfway decent,” Del messed with him as he strummed a few chords, testing the sound of it before playing in earnest.
A light-hearted country melody filled the air.
Del started singing and Rainbow was surprised at how nice his voice was, his southern drawl doing nothing but accentuating the smooth sound of his voice.
Rainbow Dash looked around the campfire, a happy warmth spreading through her body as she watched the friendly interactions around her.
Big Mac tried to duck as Apple Bloom threw a piece of chocolate at him, and Granny Smith and Wildwood sat on the grassy bank and laughed about something she couldn’t hear.
Fritter signed out the words Del was saying so that Jona wasn’t left out.
Rainbow couldn’t help but to grin ear to ear, this was an unfamiliar feeling, one she never got with her own family.
The multihued girl listened to Del intently, clapping with the rest of the group when he finished up his song.
“Play another one!” Apple Bloom told him.
He chuckled. “Alright, I’ll play one’a my favorites.”
He started up another tune, a bit slower than the one before, but nice all the same.
The athlete turned and peered at Applejack who was leaned forward with her hand under her chin, tapping her foot in time with the song that was playing, staring out at the water with a small smile on her face.
She must have sensed that she was being watched so she turned her head to meet Rainbow’s eyes.
It was amazing how a crackling campfire and the strumming of an old guitar could make moments seem so much more intimate.
Rainbow nearly burned up from having Applejack’s intense gaze focused on her, but she found she couldn’t look away, especially when the blonde bit her bottom lip enticingly.
Something flashed in Applejack’s eyes suddenly and she leaned over, closer to Rainbow.
“Hey Dash,” Applejack whispered into her ear, “wanna get outta here?”
Rainbow nearly reeled back at what that could have meant, before nodding, “Lead the way, AJ”
They stood up and made their way away from the campsite as discreetly as possible, walking down the dusty road to the next campsite over on the peninsula’s edge.
The prismatic girl followed the farmer by the moonlight as they got closer to the lake.
“You don’t think Big Mac’s gonna get upset about us leaving, do you?” Rainbow asked cautiously.
“What? Why would he? He knows I like night walks.”
“I-I dunno, just making sure, I guess…”
The trees and brush made it harder to walk, but soon enough broke through to a secret clearing on the shore.
They came up to the barbed wire fence Rainbow had come across earlier in the day. The fence ended a couple feet into the water, held together by a large stake.
It was easy enough to get around it and it made Rainbow question the purpose of it.
After walking for a couple more minutes, they came to a stop on the smooth, sandy bank and Applejack peeled her dirty shirt off, tossing it away from the water.
“Uh, what’cha doing AJ?” Rainbow watched her intently, swallowing hard as the blonde unbuttoned her pants, pulling both her shorts and bikini bottoms down and flinging them in the direction of her shirt, entirely exposing her lower half to her friend. “What’s it look like? I’m skinny dippin’. Now are y’gonna join me or stare all night?”
Rainbow opened and closed her mouth a few times trying to find something to say, but when she came up short, she shrugged and started taking her own clothes off.
She could barely focus on the task at hand, she was too busy watching Applejack reach behind herself and pull on the string that kept her chest hidden from the world.
As Applejack’s sizable breasts were freed, she felt her mouth start salivating. She wanted nothing more than to fondle and feel her hefty chest, maybe-
“Darlin’? You’re droolin’,” the blonde pointed out as she walked over, her perfect breasts bouncing with every step.
Rainbow inwardly cursed herself for being weird, so she put on a confident smirk and answered, “of course I am, you look good enough to eat."
All of a sudden the air shifted, cracking and popping around the two, creating an intense atmosphere as they stared at each other.
“Then I hope you’re hungry,” she replied huskily and winked, walking around Rainbow and into the water.
The athletic girl’s eyes followed the apple farmer, watching her wide hips sway alluringly until her body was submerged and hidden once again.
Rainbow hurriedly pulled the rest of her clothes off, throwing them in a random direction before joining her friend.
The lake was still pleasantly warm, not quite having cooled down from the heat of the day and the only sounds were that of the crickets, the wind rustling the trees and the waves gently rolling to the shore.
The intensity of the moment between the two only lasted a minute before it had turned almost uncomfortable as neither girl knew what to do next.
Rainbow looked in a random direction, trying to distract herself from her embarrassment. Here she was with her longtime crush, naked, and she was acting like a scared little girl. She wasn’t usually so flustered and worked up, but Applejack always had a way of getting under her skin.
Dash blew a few bubbles in the water with her mouth, doing her best to not focus on her friend, before submerging herself completely. She stayed under a few seconds, idly moving her arms back and forth before going back up for air.
As soon as she pushed her hair out of her face and wiped the water out of her eyes, she was splashed in the face by a laughing Applejack.
“Hey!”
Applejack stuck her tongue out and splashed her again, moving out of Rainbow’s line of fire just in time.
The athlete started quickly moving her arms back and forth, creating a never-ending wave and keeping one eye shut as Applejack got a few good splashes in.
As her arms got tired, she went back under the water, preparing to spray the cowgirl as soon as she came back up.
Rainbow bolted out of the water, eyes closed and shoved her hand forward creating the perfect wave when she froze. Her hand had landed on something soft and round, causing her eyes to fly open despite the moisture on her lashes falling into her eyes.
Applejack was less than a foot away, cheeks burning bright red, but not doing anything to remove the intrusion on her chest.
They locked gazes, green against magenta, and the heated atmosphere returned instantly.
Surprisingly, the farmer was the one to initiate the kiss, moving forward and connecting their lips roughly, wrapping her strong arms around the shorter girls waist, bringing them closer together.
Rainbow moaned into her mouth, her free hand tangling in her friends wet blonde hair while the hand that was still on her chest began to massage Applejack’s breast, feeling her nipple rise at the touch.
Applejack growled and pressed deeper into the kiss, moving one of her thighs in between the colorful girls, causing her knee to come in contact with her most intimate of places.
Rainbow broke the embrace to gasp aloud and let out a few curse words as the blonde lifted her leg and pushed her closer, causing Dash to slide up her thigh.
Even in the water, Applejack could feel the heat of the other girls sex as she held her leg up, giving Rainbow a makeshift place to sit.
They reconnected their lips almost violently, their mouths and tongues battling for dominance. It was wild and unrefined, just the way they liked it.
“I’ve… waited so… long for this… moment,” the athletic girl panted between kisses, running her hands down the other girls back, and bringing both of her legs up to wrap around her waist, causing her to accidentally grind against the farmer’s stomach.
“…Me too… God, you’re… you’re so sexy Dash…”
Rainbow smiled into the kiss, bringing her hands up to cradle her lovers face before sensually rolling her hips below Applejack’s navel.
Applejack trailed her hands from Dash’s back to her butt, kneading the firm flesh there, and catching her bottom lip with her teeth, roughly feeding it through them.
She then moved down to Rainbow’s jaw, playfully kissing and nipping her way down to her chest.
Rainbow grabbed onto the farmers shoulders and leaned back to give her more access to her naked body, in which the farmer wasted no time taking a nipple in her mouth, lightly sucking and biting the hardening nub.
The shorter girl clamped her legs harder around Applejack and let out a low groan.
Applejack moved to the other side, making sure to give it the same loving treatment, which drove Rainbow crazy.
“Oh shit, A-AJ, nngh, touch me, please, I need you to-” lust covered Rainbow’s mind as she was tended to, the feel of Applejack so near sending her heart into palpitations.
“Shhh darlin’, I’ve got you,” the blonde reassured her, giving one last long lick to her breast before moving back up to her swollen lips.
She made sure she had a good hold on Rainbow with her left arm, then trailed her calloused fingers from her ass around to her stomach, very slowly dragging them down closer to her prize, frustrating her lover.
“Applejack, I-I swear if you don’t fuck me right now, I’m gonna-ngghh!” Applejack smirked as she ran two fingers over Rainbow’s clit, effectively shutting her up.
“What’re y’gonna do sugarcube? I hope it was somethin’ involvin’ that pretty little mouth o’ yours.”
Applejack stroked her a few more times, forcing a high-pitched whine from Rainbow’s throat before moving down lower to her entrance, pausing to look up at the other girl before going any further.
“D-don’t you fucking dare stop now AJ, I need you…”
To make her point, she slammed herself down against Applejack’s fingers, causing the digits to push into her partway.
Rainbow dug her nails into Applejack’s back and let out a guttural moan as she wiggled around for a moment, getting used to the feeling of being stretched.
The farmer leaned forward and pressed a line of soft kisses against her collarbone, slowly sliding the rest of the way in to her knuckles.
She let Rainbow have half a moment before pulling her fingers almost all of the way out and thrusting them back in, the smaller girl groaning loudly at the sensation.
Applejack pumped her digits in and out, sliding easily on the mixed moisture from her lover and the lake, the movements they were making causing the water around them to ripple and wave.
Rainbow pressed her mouth against Applejacks as she rode her fingers, moans of pleasure slipping out between every kiss.
Without stopping her actions, the farmer brought her thumb to Rainbows most sensitive spot, rubbing in slow, teasing circles.
“Mmmm, damn AJ, h-how’d you get so, ugh, g-good at this?” Dash asked breathlessly, tightening her hold around the cowgirl’s neck, slipping one hand back up into her hair.
“Lots of alone time in bed at night, and lots of time thinkin’ ‘bout you,” she answered truthfully, her appendages working dutifully as she talked.
“Oh y-yeah? And what kinda s-stuff do you think about m-me?”
“Well, my fantasies go about how this here’s goin’ right now…you naked, all hot and bothered and pressed against me… and me, workin’ hard to make sure you scream my name.”
Rainbow Dash shivered at the thought, a burst of pleasure coursing through her body before it was gone altogether.
Applejack had abruptly removed her fingers, but before Rainbow had time to complain, the farmer roughly drove three fingers back into her, causing her to clench around the suddenly larger intrusion.
“Ohhh, fuck,” she moaned out, pressing her forehead against the blondes, firmly twisting her fingers through her golden locks.
Applejack showed no mercy, readjusting her grip on the athlete and thrusting her fingers as far as they could go, keeping a fast, even pace.
“Oh my- AJ, shiiit, ungh,” Rainbow rambled as she was repeatedly filled, the feeling of Applejack inside her quickly becoming too much.
Applejack could easily tell Dash was close so she curled her fingers up, making sure to hit that sensitive spot inside her with every plunge.
The shorter girl untangled her fingers from the farmers hair and gripped tightly at her back for support, incoherent mumbles and groans spilling out of her mouth as she was brought to climax.
Rainbow yelled something resembling Applejack’s name before biting down on her neck sharply and painfully dragging her nails across her lover’s shoulder blades as she convulsed around the digits inside her.
Applejack kissed her shoulder as she continued to pump her fingers, working Rainbow through her orgasm.
As Rainbow came down, she released her teeth and grunted as Applejack pulled out, once again wrapping her arms around her waist.
The athletic girl lifted her head and brought their lips together in a simple, slow kiss.
“That… that was amazing, AJ,” Rainbow complemented as she unwrapped her legs from the other girl and stood up gingerly.
The blonde smiled at the praise, “glad y’enjoyed it Rae.” She gave Rainbow a quick peck before backing away and tucking strand of hair behind her ear. “Well, I guess we better start headin’ back, we’ve been gone awhile, the others might wonder where we ran off to and I don’t want them worryin’.”
The shorter girl grabbed her wrist as Applejack started walking to shore, spinning her around and giving her a seductive gaze, “uh-uh, no way babe. We aren’t done. I always reciprocate and I’m not about to leave you hanging. Besides… I think you promised me a bite to eat.”
Rainbow lunged forward, teeth and tongue nipping and lapping at every part of skin she could find, the hand that landed on Applejack’s stomach slowly pushing her toward the shore.
Applejack grunted as she was shoved to the ground, the tips of her toes the only part of her in contact with the water now.
Rainbow landed on top of her, catching herself with her arms on either side of her lovers head and sat right below her stomach.
She sat up and looked down at the farmer with a loving gaze.
Applejack laid there bathed in moonlight, her freckled chest heaving, shining emerald eyes and her long golden hair in a halo around her. Rainbow couldn’t think of a more beautiful sight.
“Jesus Applejack, do you even realize how gorgeous you are?” she said in almost a whisper, reaching out and running a thumb over her cheek.
The cowgirl beamed, taking Rainbow’s hand in her own and kissing the top of it. “Well if I’m gorgeous, then that must mean you’re perfect ‘cause I don’t hold a candle t’you.”
The athlete’s heart sped up and she flushed bright red, surprised at how easily Applejack could fluster her with a few well-placed words.
Instead of replying, Rainbow bent over and connected their lips again, trying to express how she felt through the intimate embrace.
She delved deeper into the kiss, twisting her tongue with Applejack’s, loving the feeling of the strong body quivering beneath her.
Rainbow could’ve spent all night just kissing her, but the small thrusts of Applejack’s hips reminded her that there were more important tasks at hand.
The shorter girl traveled down to her neck, licking at the bite mark she had left only moments ago and kissing it roughly, causing the farmer to groan at the mix of pain and pleasure.
She knew that Applejack was already on edge and decided it was better not to make her wait. She scooted down into a laying position right in front of the blonde’s spread legs, half of her body in the shallows of the lake.
Rainbow wrapped her arms around Applejack’s thighs and inhaled deeply, finding the musk of her lover intoxicating and the sight of her wet arousal glistening made her lick her lips and dive in.
Rainbow slowly ran her tongue over the slick folds, testing the waters. When Applejack shut her eyes and moaned deeply, she grinned slyly and plunged her tongue into her depths, making sure to catch as much of her juices as possible with every roll of her tongue.
Applejack yelled out when the athlete lightly caught her nub between her teeth, flicking her tongue over it a few times before moving back down, lapping up her lovers excitement and thrusting back into her.
“Rae,” Applejack gasped as she reached down and gripped at Rainbow’s hair, holding her in place.
Rainbow delved as far as she could go, her nose bumping into Applejack’s clitoris with every movement, causing surges of desire to go up her spine.
Even though Applejack wasn’t as vocal as Rainbow, her shaking legs and shortness of breath showed just how close she already was and that was the shorter girls cue to stop.
Rainbow pulled her hair out of Applejack’s grasp and backed away, her lovers essence clinging to her lips and chin.
Applejack quickly sat up on her elbows. “What in tarnation are y’doin’? I was about to-”
“Come? Yeah, I know, but that woulda been too easy. I thought maybe I’d take a little detour.”
“Detour?” she repeated, “what’re y’talkin’ about?”
She rubbed along Applejack’s upper legs as she talked, “Oh, you know, take the long way, take in the sights if you will. There’s a lot I haven’t seen and I’ve got a lot of spots to stop at… like here,” Rainbow leaned over and licked a trail from the farmer’s knee, down the inside of her thigh and stopped short of her sex.
Applejack whimpered and attempted to twist her hips in the direction of Rainbow’s tongue, but Rainbow moved her face out of the way.
“Oh! And I’ve heard that the path from here,” she planted a kiss below the cowgirl’s bellybutton and teasingly worked her way up between her breasts where she bit down, “to here is quite breathtaking. But I could never pass up a chance to visit this attraction,” Rainbow’s lips found one of Applejack’s nipples while a hand snuck up to squeeze the other soft mound.
Applejack tossed her head back as Rainbow fondled her, the rough, gritty feel of the athletic girl’s sandy hand on her breast increasing the sensations.
“Rainbow, y’vixen, d-don’t make me beg now,” the farmer told her, biting down on her lip to keep back the series of moans threatening to escape.
Rainbow Dash pretended not to hear and let her nipple fall from her mouth as she sat up on her knees and leaned back, running her right hand through the water for a few seconds.
“But even with all of these stunning sights, I have a feeling there’s one place I’ll keep coming back to…” Rainbow shook off her hand and lined two fingers up at her opening before driving them in fully, “right here.”
Applejack’s arms gave out and she fell back with a shout, her muscles automatically tightening around Rainbow’s appendages as the athlete started pumping her fingers with vigor, feeding off the low groans Applejack was making.
Now that Rainbow was done teasing her lover, she got down to work, sliding in and out in quick motions, causing faint wet smacking sounds with every move.
“Uggh, Rae, f-faster,” Applejack commanded as she dug her fingers through the sand, looking for leverage.
“Hmm, I have a better idea,” Rainbow responded before moving back into a laying position, her face only an inch away from her intended target.
She let her digits work for a few more moments before leaning in and sucking on her clit.
Applejack let out a high-pitched whine as Rainbow continuously thrust her fingers in and kept constant pressure on her nub with her lips.
The farmer’s whole body shook as she was finally brought to her release, arching her back off the ground and closing her thighs around Rainbow’s head.
Rainbow kept moving until Applejack slumped to the ground exhausted, her legs releasing their hold on the shorter girl.
The athlete retracted her hand and stuck her fingers in her mouth, humming at the taste before crawling over the blonde and bending down for a sloppy kiss.
“Ew, RD, that’s gross,” Applejack laughed and shoved her off, but not before accepting the kiss anyway.
Rainbow laid down beside her, placing her head on Applejack’s chest and wrapping her arms around her.
They watched the stars for a few minutes, happy just to lay next to each other in silence, listening to the insects in the woods and the rhythm of the waves.
Rainbow wore a content smile as she held Applejack, but her mind was racing. What did this make them? Was this just a one night stand? Applejack had admitted to being attracted to her but was she only really saying those things to spare her feelings?
She was the first to break the quiet, moving her head to look up at her lover.
“So… not to kill the mood or anything, but what’s gonna happen after this? Are we still just friends? Or…” she tagged on the last part in hopes that Applejack would take it as an invitation to turn their friendship into something more.
Applejack let out a slow sigh and sat up, folding her arms on top of her bent legs.
“Rainbow, you wanna know why I invited you today, even though this here’s usually family only?”
The shorter girl sat crisscrossed next to her and answered, “yeah, of course I do.”
“It’s… well, it’s because I wanted to show y’just how much y’mean t’me. Remember a couple months ago when y’were supposed to go to the beach with your parents? Mac had gotten some sorta stomach bug and couldn’t work even though it was his weekend to take care of the farm?”
Rainbow Dash nodded.
“I was gonna be stuck at home workin’ on my weekend off, and for some reason you decided to stay and help me. Y’gave up an amazin’ weekend at the ocean to help me with the chores so that I didn’t have t’spend my entire two days workin’.
“I’d never seen that kinda loyalty and selflessness from anybody. It really made me look at y’differently… in more ways than one. ‘Fore I knew it, I was crushin’ on y’pretty hard and it took all my willpower not to say somethin’ and scare y’off.
“So I invited y’along today to try and make up for y’missin’ the beach but also to show how I feel ‘bout you… I dunno if y’realized that I’ve been a little more touchy-feely with y’lately, but I guess I was just tryin’ t’get you t’notice me.”
Rainbow rolled her eyes at how clueless Applejack was.
“AJ, I’ve been waiting to tell you how I’ve felt since my birthday. Four months ago. I’ve noticed you plenty, babe. I just never said anything ‘cause I thought you were straight and I didn’t want to make anything weird between us.
“And hell yeah I caught on to all your touching, but I assumed you were just being friendly. If I had known it meant what it had, I would’ve done something earlier. I mean, you were driving me fucking crazy today with all your nudges and pats and when you held my hand during that truck ride, I thought my heart was gonna explode.
“Excuse my bluntness here, but we kinda just had sex. And I don’t just screw for a good time, I always mean it. I’ve liked you for a long time now and being able to do that with you meant the world to me and I hope you feel the same.”
Applejack grinned widely and took Rainbow’s hand in her own. “I just gave y’my virginity, Rainbow. I think that there says plenty.”
Suddenly, Rainbow stood up and helped Applejack to her feet.
“Hey AJ, I need to ask you a question,” the athlete told her, grabbing both of Applejack’s hands in her own and getting down on one knee.
“Oh Lord, Rae, what’re y’doin’ now?”
Rainbow ignored her and straightened her posture, then with the most serious face she could mange she looked up and said, “Jacqueline Jeanne Apple, would you do me the honor of becoming my girlfriend and making me the happiest woman on the planet?”
Applejack snorted and covered her face with a hand to keep herself from laughing at the ridiculousness of the situation as she shook her head in disbelief.
“Only if y’get up and kiss me, y’crazy lunatic!”
“As my lady wishes,” Rainbow replied, jumping up and meeting her new girlfriend for a loving kiss.
As things heated up again and short smooches turned into long passionate embraces, they made their way back into the lake and didn’t return to the campsite until much later that night.
_ _ _
“Well, thanks for comin’ with me Rae,” Applejack said as she pulled up in front Rainbow’s small suburban home, “I had a lot of fun, with a few added bonuses.”
The athlete put her hands behind her head and shrugged, “Hmm, I dunno, I thought it was sorta boring. I don’t think camping’s really my thing.”
“You’re a dirty liar,” the farmer replied, playfully shoving her girlfriend as Rainbow winked.
“Oh you know I loved it babe. The swimming, the food, the bonfire, the walks,” Rainbow moved her hand over to Applejack’s thigh and rubbed the spot lovingly, “I really got closer to nature, if you know what I mean.”
“Y’ain’t funny, y’turd.”
“I’m hilarious. Wish you could stay a while, but I know you’ve gotta get home. So… see you later, I guess?”
“‘Course.”
Rainbow unbuckled her seatbelt and moved to get out of the car but Applejack grabbed her arm to get her attention.
“Rainbow, wait. I-I was wondering if maybe y’wanted to do somethin’ next weekend… Y’know, l-like, a date?”
The shorter girl cracked a smug grin.
“Well, I’ll have to look at my calendar, I’m a busy woman after all, but I’m sure I could squeeze you in somewhere.”
“How kind of you,” Applejack answered dully, rolling her eyes.
Rainbow huffed a laugh and jumped out, moving around the Jeep to grab her suitcase case before walking over to the driver’s side and propping her herself up on the roll bar with her arm.
She smiled down at Applejack.
“I’d love to go on a date with you, Jacks. Just let me know when and where and I’ll be there.”
The multihued girl bent over and pressed her lips against her girlfriends, humming when Applejack slipped in her tongue and ran her hand down the side of Rainbow’s frame, causing her to shiver.
Rainbow reluctantly pulled away and said, “woah now cowgirl, don’t get me excited or you’ll never get home.”
Applejack pouted cutely and sighed, “I guess you’re right, Bloom starts school Wednesday and Lord knows she’s packed and unpacked her book bag twenty times but she still probably forgot half of her supplies on her desk.”
“Yeah, you have fun with that. Text me later?”
“Y’got it darlin’.”
Rainbow kissed her one last time before walking around the front of the vehicle, slapping the hood a couple times as Applejack put it in drive and waving as she slowly pulled away from the curb.
The shorter girl watched the red taillights until they disappeared down the road.
She unlocked her front door and shut it, tossing her bag onto the couch. She’d probably get to it later.
Rainbow had just kicked off her shoes when the doorbell rang.
“Who in the hell?” She asked herself before walking back over and prying the door open.
Applejack was standing there, tapping her foot impatiently.
“AJ? Whats u-”
She was cut off as Applejack moved forward, roughly pushing their lips together and walking Rainbow back into her house.
Applejack released her long enough to whisper huskily into her ear, “I reckon Apple Bloom can wait a couple hours, I’ve got a little somethin’ I’ve gotta take care of first,” and slammed the door closed behind them.
