On the day of his birth, Eavesdrop disapointed his parents at first sight. His mother was a pegasus and his father a unicorn. Both had hoped he would be an alicorn, but were saddened when the moon shined on the light blue mane of the earth pony colt. His mother, though disappointed, was still ecstatic about her new baby. His father, however, wasn't pleased. Eavesdrop's father, Slycer, was a mad scientist who was recently fired from his job for experimentation on other ponies. Slycer was furious. He was trying to change a pony from one race to the other, but accidentally killed all seven of his experiments.

On the evening of Eavesdrop's first birthday, Slycer went on a rampage and tried to fulfill his original purpose, only this time he used his wife. He strapped her down to the table and cut out her vocal cords so she couldn't scream. He removed her wings and analyzed them. After reviewing their cell structure and composition, he reattached them. Once they were back on, he grabbed one of the horns that he'd kept in a jar in the cabinet and tried to rearrange her nerves and attach the horn. As he finished up she started to violently shake. He'd feared this. Her pegasus blood was rejecting that of the horn's. Then and there, his wife, Blesswing, died. In anger he threw her off of the table and onto the floor. He cried out at his failure and then developed a theory. What if it wasn't a failure. What if he just hadn't been using the right things. Each of his previous expirments was either pegasus or unicorn. He just needed a pure source. And at his thought, Eavesdrop walked into the room.

He had just woken up from his nap and Eavesdrop was still sleepy. His father smiled at him and strapped him down. He then proceeded to remove wings from one of the jars he kept under his desk. After setting the severed wings on the cabinet, as well as another horn, he needed to add to his son's strength. He struck a metal nail into each of Eavesdrop's temples and all four of his hooves. Once finished he removed skin from where the wings were to go and same for the horn. He rearranged Eavesdrop's muscles and nerves and attached the wings and horn. His son began to twitch so he hooked wires to the nails then to large amp and sent a bass wave through the colt. Eavesdrop then began to struggle and shake the whole house, knocking bleach off of a shelf and into his eyes. He began to glow brightlyand his hair shattered like glass, leaving only light blue spikes behind. As some of the spikes lost color, Eavesdrop screamed, sending out a bass wave so powerful that it destroyed everything and everypony within ten miles

When the smoke cleared, all that was left was a small colt in the center of a large crater. Eavesdrop rose and tried to look around but could only see darkness. All the color had drained from his eyes as well as his vision, and a bass speaker and equalizer had appeared on his flank.

The large crater became known as the void. and the pony at the center of it lives life scared of everypony thinking they are his father to this day.

And that is the story of the pony known as...

Eavesdrop
