Epilogue
“Unng,” Rainbow Dash groaned, turning her body around and trying to be rid of the light that was beaming onto her eyelids.
Celestia’s sun had risen to signal the beginning of a new day, but the lazy pegasus wasn’t having it. Her body was weak but comfortable, and from events from last night, she was more than tuckered out.
Rainbow Dash put her forelegs around the pillow her head was sleeping on and brought it in closer to her body, virtually snuggling with the item. That is, until she realized something.
A pillow? her lethargic mind thought.
Rainbow Dash lifted her head against her will and noticed the pink pillow she was laying on. She then also noticed that there was a light blanket splayed out over her body. Dash looked to her side to see if her pink friend was still with her, but the space beside her was empty.
“How the-?” she said to herself, wondering how she had gotten into bed when she knew that last night didn’t end off in it.
Pinkie Pie?
Did Pinkie Pie put her to bed after she had passed out from such wonderful ecstasy last night? That’s all Rainbow Dash could figure, but now she wanted to know where her friend had went off to.
Wait.
Before the pegasus decided to get up and find her pink friend, she quickly threw the blanket off of her body and looked down her cyan body and her eyes traveled between her legs. To her relief, the artificial phallus that Pinkie had her use was now gone.
With her mind at ease about still being a mare, Rainbow Dash got up from the bed and stood up. She began to stretch her body out, as it was routine for the pony to loosen up her joints, muscles, and wings. Having a stiff body was not becoming of an athlete such as herself.
Within seconds, Rainbow Dash finished her small stretch and made her way to Pinkie Pie’s room door. She opened it and descended down the stairs and a pleasant smell began to fill her nostrils.
Pinkie must be baking stuff again.
The aroma was more than appetizing to Dash. It smelled of pastries and cakes along with a hint of frosting and it made her stomach growl. It wasn’t surprising to her seeing that all she had last night was a few ciders, and then to have sex that ended in wing-breaking orgasms on top of that was a sure recipe to make a pony starving.
Dash descended off the last step and entered the kitchen to see her pink friend throwing something into the oven.
“Hey Pinkie,” Dash greeted coolly as she rested one of her shoulders on the kitchen counter.
Pinkie Pie turned around and the second she saw a rainbow colored mane, the party pony smiled and whooshed over to her favorite pegasus.
“Dashie! You’re up!” Pinkie exclaimed and grabbed Rainbow in a giant hug, squeezing the mare to the point that her maroon eyes were threatening to pop out of her head.
“Yeah! I’m up! Glad to see you too!” Dash coughed and choked as she was lifted from the ground and being crushed by Pinkie’s unnaturally strong hug, “Now let me go Pinkie! You’re choking me here!”
“Oh! Sorry!” Pinkie chimed with a smile and quickly broke her embrace.
Rainbow Dash took a second and caught her breath. She didn’t understand how Pinkie had such strength to almost crush the life out a pony, but she could only deduce that it must’ve been due to all the bouncing and running she did on a daily basis.
“It’s okay Pinkie. You just gotta loosen up on the-”
But she was interrupted with a pair of pink lips meeting hers. Rainbow Dash’s eyes shot open, not expecting a kiss from her pink friend. Her heart began to pound rapidly and her cheeks began to heat up.
The small kiss only lasted for but a few seconds but it felt much longer to Rainbow. Pinkie broke the connection of lips and smiled even wider.
“Did you sleep good last night Dashie?” Pinkie now asked, not noticing that she had thrown the daredevil off guard.
Now it wasn’t that Pinkie actually kissed her, especially since last night where they had done much worse than just simple a simple peck on the lips, it was just that Rainbow Dash saw last night as just a way to have fun and that was all. They would act like lust-filled lovers for one night and then the next day they would go back to being just Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, the two best friends that loved to party and pull pranks.
But this was not so and it made Dash recall a question she asked herself from last night.
Do I like Pinkie Pie?
“Uhh yeah,” Dash replied with an undertone of unexplained nervousness, “Yeah I slept fine.”
“Good!” Pinkie said, seemingly more than happy to hear such a simple answer, “I been waiting for you to get up so you and I can have breakfast. I just put the muffins in the oven-hey! that rhymes- and I’m gonna make some special cupcakes with your name all over them!”
“Uhh, that sounds cool Pinkie but...”
Dash trailed off. She was confused as to why Pinkie was doing this for her. Yes, they were friends and Pinkie loved doing things for her amigos but something seemed...different...about all this.
Maybe because since she had now seen a completely different side to Pinkie that seeing her back to her normal and non-seductive self seemed a bit eerie now.
“But what?” Pinkie asked with the innocence of a foal, “You do like muffins and cupcakes right?”
“No, it’s not that...”
But even the daredevil didn’t know why she felt so weird about all this, but it wasn’t the kind of weird where you just wanted to get away from it. It was like a pleasurable weird, a welcomed one. It made her feel warm inside and her breath a bit shallow.
“Then what is it?”
She saw Pinkie’s happy demeanor change into one of concern.
“Rainbow Dash?” she said as her ears flopped down, wanting to now know what had her favorite mare’s mind in a twist.
Dash couldn’t beat around the bush anymore and came out with the only questions she can think of that would hopefully help answer her own.
“Last night,” Dash began but was interrupted when Pinkie pressed her muzzle against hers.
“Was fun right?!” Pinkie exclaimed happily.
Rainbow Dash smiled meekly.
“Yeah it was Pinkie, but I just gotta ask something.”
Pinkie backed her face away.
“What is it?”
Rainbow Dash felt her stomach tie into a knot. The question from last night rose up in her mind and as much as she wanted to know, she had a hard time asking it. She was afraid of the answer she would get.
Just ask Rainbow Dash. So what if it was last night was just for fun? So what if she really doesn't have feelings for you? It's not like you have feelings for her right? RIGHT?
Her mind was running all over the place, trying to figure out how she could word her question. She wasn’t articulate like Twilight nor one with charm in her words such as Rarity.
There was only one way she could say it.
“Why did we do it last night?”
“Huh?”
She repeated herself.
“Why did we bang last night Pinkie?”
Pinkie looked at her for a few seconds with a blank face, blinking her eyes a couple times before she answered with a smile.
“Cause banging is fun silly,” she said, “And we had a deal though you didn’t really win it but I like to have fun and you like to have fun and banging is a fun way to spend-”
Rainbow Dash put her hoof to Pinkie’s mouth, silencing her rambling.
“So last night was just for fun?” Rainbow Dash asked as normally as she could, though inside she felt a sharp pain going through her chest that made her bite her bottom lip.
She pulled her hoof away and let Pinkie answer.
“Well duh!” Pinkie replied with her cheery tone, seemingly oblivious to what the pegasus really wanted to know, “That’s what best pony friends do! Have fun!”
Rainbow Dash simply nodded, but inside she felt something just drop into her stomach.
“Right,” the pegasus said as she put the fakest smile she could put on, “That’s what friends do.”
Ding!
Pinkie shot up immediately.
“Muffins are done!”
The pink mare hopped with speed over to the oven, quickly opening it and pulling out a rack of of freshly baked blueberry muffins. Their aroma was more than appetizing and the party pony couldn’t wait to share these delectable treats with her friend.
“All done! Dashie, how many muffins do you wa-”
But she stopped.
As she turned around and looked for the daredevil, she was nowhere to be seen.
Her blue eyes looked over and saw the door to Sugarcube Corner wide open, letting the morning sunlight come into the bakery and a single blue feather sitting at the doorstep.
“Dashie?” she said as she walked over to the doorstep and looked outside, but the pegasus was nowhere to be seen.
“Where did you go?”
But she didn’t know.
Rainbow Dash finally knew the answer to her question.
To be continued...
