NB: In this universe, Littlepip never happened. It is a standalone story with its own lore, characters and settings. It requires no knowledge of Fallout (and, I suppose, only a vague understanding of MLP) to be read and enjoyed.

Ponykind was a race, on the whole, uncorrupted by greed and selfishness; a species who understood the value of family, of friendship, of forgiveness. A nearly perfect example of a kingdom.

But then morals took second place to allow for an era of splendour and indulgence and greed. Once peaceful nations fell to war. And, after years of unrelenting fighting, bombs were dropped, and the land was enshrouded in a blanket of magical and nuclear devastation.

Earth pony Klipspringer has always longed to restore her world to the way it was once: peaceful, safe. But when she is thrown head-first into the wastes with no prior knowledge of survival, she finds that achieving her dreams and surviving may be counterproductive goals. If she can overcome her struggles she may just be the key to saving the world, in her own little way at least. But if she can't? Well, it won't be a pretty sight.
