Author's Note
I live in the US, so Apple cider is NOT alcoholic. But just know that in the following story, cider is referred to as a drink. And in the comments, quickly place your bet on who will win the game. Don't read it and then comment!
Bowling is Magic
"Who's ready to go bowling?", Rainbow Dash asked.
"We are!", said Rainbow's friends.
"Who's ready to lose against me?"
"I sure ain't!", Apple Jack said.
"Is that a challenge?", Rainbow asked.
"Oh! Things just exciting!", Pinkie Pie said happily.
They all entered their names into the computer so they could start bowling.
"Rainbow, you spelled my name wrong", Pinkie said. "It's P-I-N-K-I-E, not P-I-N-K-Y!"
"I know", Rainbow teased. "I'm gonna get drinks. Cider ever pony?"
Every pony nodded except for Fluttershy. Instead, she shook her head violently.
Rainbow shrugged and flew off to get some cider. She came back later a few minutes later with hay burgers, French fries, five different sauces, popcorn, and six glasses of cider.
"I told you I didn't want a drink. Water is just fine", Fluttershy said.
"I know", Rainbow said. "I'm having two".
The others looked at her in disapproval.
"C'mon! It's cider. I'm addicted".
The others just laughed and started bowling. "Pinky" Pie was up first. She grabbed the ball with her mouth and fell down trying to throw it.
"A strike!?", Rainbow said. "How does a throw like that get a strike?"
"Rainbow!", Apple Jack said, kicking Rainbow's hind legs. "Be nice!"
"Jeez! It was just a joke", Rainbow said.
"I'm proud of you, Pinkie", Apple Jack said. "Last time we went here you only got gutter balls. And you almost hit Twilight's-"
"We are NEVER talking about that again!", Twilight said angrily.
They all laughed and Twilight's glared at them. Rainbow Dash was up next. She took a long sip of cider and grabbed the ball with her mouth. She rolled it with pin point accuracy and and got a strike.
"Yes!", Rainbow said. "Beat that AJ!"
"Who cares. Pinkie Pie did that already", Apple Jack said.
Apple Jack rolled the ball, knocking down nine of the ten pins. The last one left in the very middle. Apple Jack sighed as she tried to roll the ball straight ahead but missed the one pin. Rainbow chuckled.
"Why you little...!", Apple Jack said angrily.
"Stop fighting!", Twilight said. "It's my turn".
Twilight used her magic to levitate the ball and-
"That's cheating!", Rainbow Dash screamed. "No magic allowed!"
"Ah!"
Twilight was startled and dropped to he ball. It went rolling down the ally and hit four of the ten pins. Luckily, she got another turn.
"No magic", Rainbow said.
Twilight rolled her eyes. She picked up the ball with her mouth. She had never done it the earth pony way. She rolled the ball and hit a pin. A single pin of the six there.
Rainbow Dash burst out laughing and took another long sip of cider.
"Ha, ha... funny", Twilight said sarcastically. She rolled her eyes once more.
Meanwhile, Rarity took advantage of this fun time and decided to act un- lady like. She popped her head off the table.
"Wait? Is my turn?", Rarity said, with barbecue sauce all around her mouth and her mouth full of fries.
The others nodded while Fluttershy cringed.
"Oh. Okay", Rarity said. She swallowed her food, took a sip a cider, and walked up to the ally.
Picking up the ball with her mouth, Rarity rolled the ball. She got a gutter ball on both tries. She shrugged and shoved a hoof full of popcorn into her mouth.
It was Fluttershy's turn. She hesitated to get up, but when she did, she had a hard time finding the perfect ball that was light enough for her to carry. When she found the perfect ball, she rolled it and hit two pins.
"Yay!", she whispered happily.
It was Pinkie's turn again. She ate a cupcake that came out of nowhere because reasons! She rolled the ball and nocked down eight pins. On her second try she knocked down two.
"Yay! Spare!", Pinkie said excitedly.
Rainbow Dash took another sip of- Wait! She 's already on her second glass of cider? Um, okay. So, she rolled the ball and scored a strike.
"Yes!", she screamed and somehow finished her- what! Another glass. I can't even...!
Apple Jack was up next. Trying not to knock down only nine, she rolled the ball and knocked down seven. On her second try she knocked down three.
Twilight walked up to the ally and tried grabbing the ball she threw it and knocked down six pins. On her second try, she knocked down two.
At this point, Rarity was just a mess. Sauce all over her mouth, popcorn in her hair, and cider fell on her coat.
"Skip me", she said. "I have never had this much fun since ever!"
Rainbow rolled her eyes and pointed to Fluttershy.
"You're up!", she said to Fluttershy.
Fluttershy sighed and took the same ball as before. She rolled it and hit four pins. Then two.
"Lets make this interesting ", Pinkie said grinning. She grabbed a random chair and sat on it.
"Spin me", she said. "Fast".
Rainbow Dash stepped up and spun the chair as fast as she could. Pinkie got up, wobbling all over, and rolled the ball.
"If she gets a strike, I swear to Celestia-"
Boom! All the pins fell over.
"You were saying, Dashie?", Pinkie teased.
Rainbow growled.
"Fine. Wanna play that game. I can play too. I am the champion ", Rainbow Dash said.
She went back to the bar and came back with five glasses of cider and a timer. Rainbow set it to two minutes.
"Two minutes! Five cups of cider! You're gonna get drunk!", Twilight exclaimed.
"And then", Rainbow said. "I'm gonna roll".
She started the timer and chugged the drinks. At thirty seconds she had one drink left. She felt dizzy. But she managed to drink the last glass. She got up, her world was literally spinning, and rolled the ball. And...
Boom! All the pins go down!
"Yegss!", Rainbow Dash said, right before she fell to ground.
"She been through worse", Apple Jack said, seeming not even a little bit worried. "It's my turn", she said.
She rolled the ball down the ally and realized that Rainbow Dash fainted right in the middle of it. Apple Jack's ball hit Rainbow Dash and stopped. AJ took the ball and threw it over Rainbow Dash. It hit all the pins.
Twilight then used her magic to get Rainbow Dash out of the bowling ally. Then, Twilight rolled the ball and knocked down-
"Hi Twilight! Sup! Oops! Did I distract you? Sorry!", Pinkie said.
"Ah!", Twilight screamed, dropping the ball. She knocked down none.
Don't blame Pinkie! She is best pony! It's true... Oh no! The hate comments commence!
Anyway, Rarity once again skipped her turn and instead rolled a piece a popcorn into her mouth. And choked.
"Halp! Gah, agh! *cough!* *cough!*" Rarity fainted. Twilight used magic to take the piece of food out of Rarity's throat.
"Yeah... Don't do that again", Twilight said to Rarity.
"I guess, it's my turn...', Fluttershy said. She rolled the ball and closed her eyes. Five pins fell down. She rolled again and one fell.
"Woo- hoo!", Fluttershy whispered excitedly. She might as well get a gutter ball and say 'woo- hoo' or 'yay'.
Pinkie bounced off her chair and took a ball. She threw it upwards and it went all around.
Boom! It hit the roof.
Boom! It hit the bar.
Boom! It knocked Rainbow's cider.
Boom! It knocked over all the pins!
"And that my friends", Pinkie said. "Is how it's done".
"What do we do about Rainbow?", Twilight asked.
Apple Jack walked up to Rainbow and screamed in her ear.
"IT LOOKS LIKE I AM WINNING!"
"AH! No! I shall win!", Rainbow screamed. She hit her head against the table.
AJ chuckled. She pointed to the ally. Rainbow Dash got back on her hooves, took a last sip- sorry. Last five sips- WHAT!? Okay, last full glass of cider. I mean, I highly doubt it was her last one. Anyway, she rolled the ball and got a stri- WHAT! SHE GETS A GUTTER BALL!? You know what, I quit.
a few seconds later...
I am the new narrator. Hi! So, um... Okay.
Rainbow Dash got a gutter ball. Her friends gasped. But Pinkie Pie laughed.
"I guess your luck ran out after that last cider, huh?", Pinkie teased.
Rainbow just stared at the pins in aw. Her jaw dropped.
"How, what? Why? How?!", she said, still very confused.
She rolled again and knocked down... Yeah. I can see why the last narrator quit.
"no pins. All gutters...", Rainbow said. She cursed under her breath.
Even Twilight was shocked.
"how in Celestia's name of gifted unicorns did Rainbow get a gutter ball? Twice!", Twilight screamed.
Pinkie shrugged. "Bad luck, I guess", she said, as she ate another random cupcake. She smiled, almost as if she was hiding something.
"Skip!', every pony said, even AJ. They all wanted to see the epic battle of Pinkiedash- what? It's a contest, not a date. Who wrote this?! You know what. I qui- oh.I can't quit. Okay...
So, Pinkie rolled the ball and purposely scored a gutterball.
"It's even now, Dashie", Pinkie said, chuckling. "Get a strike, or at least a spare, or I win!"
Rainbow Dash walked up to the ally. She gulped. She didn't know why she was so nervous.
"Knock down all the pins", Pinkie said. "That's all you need to do".
With all her might, Rainbow Dash rolled the ball and it was going strait towards the center. But then it made a sharp turn into the gutters. All of a sudden, it rolled into the opposite direction.
"What? How? Why? How? Shit!", Rainbow said angrily. A parent next to them covered her child's ears.
"Yay! I win!", Pinkie said happily.
They all exited the bowling ally, Rainbow still shocked and Rarity still messy. Pinkie hid in the corner for a moment and pulled up the curl in her hair. She revealed a unicorn horn and chuckled to herself.
"Finally", she said. "I beat Dashie!"
