Author's Note

Before you read this story, I just want you to know that this is my very first fic iv'e ever done! It was fun to write this but it took a long time to do it you know, with school and all. But it was all worth it! I know it won't be good but i'll keep practicing on my fics. Hope you all like it (clearly you won't like it at all)

The Picnic

One bright beautiful morning, lies a yellow body and pinked maned pegasus in bed. Her name was Fluttershy. And her special talent was taking care of animals and woodland creatures. She woke up in her room ready to feed all the hungry animals waiting for her. She lived on top of a mountain in a small cottage, She was comfortable with her cottage even though it was a little small to be taking care of tons of critters.

She got up and flew down stairs to feed all of her hungry little friends. Though she all loved her animals equally, but her favorite one was Angel bunny. He was mean at times but was then nice to his owner. "You all look so very hungry today. I better get started feeding you all." Fluttershy said. It usually takes her an hour to get every animal fed, but today it only took her a half an hour. She thought it was because she was so excited to go on that picnic Applejack and Fluttershy planned for today. Fluttershy was deeply in love with her friend Applejack. She fell in love with her the moment she saw her.

Fluttershy is planning to confess her feelings to AJ at the picnic. She doesn't know if she should wait, or do it today. She thinks for a bit and decides to confess today. Applejack and Fluttershy decided to meet at the park at 3:00 PM.

When 2:30 came, Fluttershy started to gather some plates, silverware, and a blanket to lay on. Applejack was the one bringing the food. She headed out of the cottage and left for the park. Once she got there, she saw AJ sitting on a bench waiting for Fluttershy. Once they both looked at each other, they ran towards each other and went into a hug.

"I'm so glad you could make it Fluttershy!"

"I'm so glad you could make it AJ!" Both of them said at the exact same time. They both had a light blush on their faces, but it went away as they both realized they were blushing.

"So... were should we sit?" Fluttershy asked as she pulled the blanket out of her basket.

"I was think'in over there?" Applejack pointed to a spot under a tree with flowers on it.

"Oh... that looks PERFECT!" Fluttershy said loud enough that ponies near by could hear it, they looked at her as she calmed down with a blush on her face. "Sorry." She said to the other ponies as they carried on with their day.

"Alrighty then... over there it is!" Applejack said signaling Fluttershy to come with her.

After setting up their spot, Fluttershy couldn't stop looking at AJ every so often. Before they even set up their picnic, Fluttershy told AJ that she had something special to tell her, but she would have to wait till the end of the picnic to hear it. "There is no turning back now." Fluttershy thought to herself as she set up the rest of the silverware.

Once they finished setting up, Applejack pulled out the lunch she had brought for her and Fluttershy. She brought some vegetarian soup for Fluttershy and she brought some tomato soup for herself. A few months ago, Fluttershy made AJ try a vegetable. She thought AJ would like a tomato... and she did like it! So that's why Applejack brought tomato soup for herself.

Applejack said that she had brought desert for both of them. She brought Fluttershy's favorite, Granny Smiths famous apple pie! When Fluttershy saw how delicious it looked she started to drool.

They ate their apple pie and talked for a while until AJ said, "So... what was the thing you were wanting to talk to me about?" "Oh um, I actually... um... got a new baby bunny! She is really cute and her name is Flossie!"

"Oh that's GREAT news Fluttershy! I bet she is really cute! I'll have to meet her sometime!" AJ said happily. Applejack loves it when Fluttershy gets new pets.

"She is really cute." Fluttershy said in a soft (kind of happy) voice.

Fluttershy was supposed to tell AJ her feelings, but instead she told her about her new baby bunny "Flossie!" She was very angry at herself for not telling AJ the truth. She just wanted to hurt herself. Fluttershy still had too keep her angriness on the inside of her and keep her happiness on the outside.

Once the picnic was over, Fluttershy told Applejack that she would walk with her to her home, Sweet Apple Acres. Flutters dropped Applejack off and started for her house. When she got home to her animals, she fed all of them and went strait to bed.
